Chapter 616: [ Eerika’s Growth (2) ]

“Thousand Years of Despair…? Hmph, do you really think that you demons are great? If we have chased you away before, do you think that we can’t do it again…?!”

“Heh, arrogant are we? You had already won before because of your Gods but now…where are they?”

The Old Demon snorted in contempt.

His voice thundered throughout the skies. Hearing Eric’s words, he had finally gotten a little irritated. He slowly lifted his hand and gradually began to exhibit his pressure to crush everything in front of him.

Following along with his movement, the surging demonic aura that was like the ocean around him, also began acting violently. A dark mist appeared and whenever it touched, trees and leaves started to decay. Some unlucky Asgardians couldn’t resist the Demon’s aura and cried out in pain and agony as they stumbled and rolled on the ground, their body drying up as if their essence were being sucked away.

“You dareeee!!” Eric cried out in anger. A golden aura swept over, pushing the black aura away, and saving those who were affected by Demonic Touch. “…bastards! You are only winning now because you rely on underhanded tricks! You all are cowards!! If you have guts, why don’t you fight me one on one?!”

Eric looked provokingly at the Demon in front of him. His power and aura both exploded like a bomb. He stood there like some kind of mountain, exerting powerful pressure.

He held himself like the Lord of this area as if he were in charge of the people within the vicinity—as if their lives or deaths could be determined by a mere thought on his part.

On the ground.

All the creature, Monsters, Demons or God Descendants, all found it hard to even breathe.

They felt that at this moment, they seemed to have become toads being pressed beneath a mountain, suffocating. The trees, plants, and boulders that still remained intact were also affected. One after another, they fell into pieces, crumbling and breaking apart.

Woooosh…

The wailing, blood-filled wind rolled over the land, making it dark both day and night.

Everyone fighting in the vicinity raised all their heads simultaneously and felt as if they were pulled into some sort of forbidden danger zone.

At the same time, the wind around them grew more intense as it swept across the land. Lightning danced around him, and beneath his feet was a lake of lightning. It appeared as if this person carried the will of lightning and exercised command over it.

“Hmph! Do you think there is even an ounce of thing in this world that is fair…?! God Clans are indeed naïve and childish!! This is war! This is not some scuffles between children! This is WAR!!”

However, the Demon old man was not the least bit fazed and instead snorted contemptuously, his body brimming with intense killing intent.

Eric rose to his feet. His blonde hair floated in the wind, and his long golden robe gave him an elegant, erudite appearance. His refined features contained both the dignity of a scholar and the loftiness of a War God. “…enough talk,” he said coolly, “Whatever the Demon Legion wanted in this Celestial Realm, you can only look up and can’t do anything. As long as our blood runs continuously, you vile demons would never be able to do anything!”

“Arrogant words, Godkin!! War God of the Norse?! If the great god Thor is here, things might change but… you are nothing but a brat who knows nothing!!”

Then he stretched his hands out and lifted his head back to let out a wild roar.

GeeEEEEaaaaAAAAAAAA――――――!!!!

At the same time, his body instantly began to expand and grow scales. In the blink of an eye, he was dozens of meters tall and bulging with muscles. Shockingly, the bone teeth around his neck shot out to swirl around him in a spherical spell-like formation!

In an instant, he transformed into a long reptilian-like creature monster with a large jaw similar to that of a shark, black spikes protruding from her back and a long, briskly tail. With blistering scales and briskly tail, he looks like a Dragonoid but with the head of a shark with saw-like teeth.

A demonic creature indeed!

The demon old man let out a roar, and its eyes began to glow red.

He slapped his tail down, causing ripples to spread out.

Following the Old Demon’s transformation, the other behind him as well began to change.

The two old men, who looked identical except for the contrasting black and white clothing, both swished their sleeves.

Shockingly, they began to emanate an incredible aura of death. There was no apparent change but their eyes gradually turned blood red and a pair of sharp long fangs appeared at each side of their mouths. Their complexion also gradually turned pale and bat-like wings spread out on their backs.

Blood swirled around them, running on their bodies as if coating them, and their solidified, creating an armor made of blood—Vampires.

Last, was the young boy. As he advanced, a giant emerged from behind him. With one long sharp horn on its forehead and a single big eye—it looked like a Cyclops but stronger and more ferocious than normal.

It was wearing an animal hide on his waist and wielding an enormous wolf-tooth club. It roared as it shot forward, kicking up a huge wind. The boy flew up to stand on its shoulder.

With their transformation, the eyes of the thousand demons standing behind them, as if waiting for their signal, began to glow. And their power merged together to form a crushing weight that emanated out in all directions.

BOoooooOOOmmMMM!!!

Looking at the incoming demons, one of the people behind Eric snorted in contempt. He waved his arm and smoke appeared around him. Within the smoke appeared countless warriors in golden armor that immediately blockaded the entire area.

As for Eric, he shot directly toward the demons with a ferocious expression. Lightning danced around him, striking those who dared to block his path. The reptilian demon roared in anguish. Suddenly, his figure flickered and appeared directly in front of the armored men, then punched out.

“Piss off!” he cried.

BooOOmmM!!

The simple fist strike was backed by the power that seemed to be capable of blowing up an entire mountain. It shattered the air as it screamed toward the Godkin’s golden warriors. Immediately, the warriors began to wither and collapse into pieces.

The old Demon was extraordinarily strong, as expected of a peak Marquis rank Demon. Demonic Energy swirled around him, making the entire area around him his own. He barreled forward, smashing through the barricade, followed by the other demons behind him.

Meanwhile, the old men in black and white clothes closed their eyes. Their bodies grew blurry, and astonishingly, they seemed to have multiplied as they created afterimages one after another. Their eyes gleaming with a bright red light as if exuding blood.

As they leaped forward, their death aura rose up into the air, transforming into a vortex. Countless pale-white arms then stretched out from within the vortex, dragging creatures from within.

One of the vampires shot toward one of the Asgardian Elders, the other headed to block Eric.

“… Back off!!!” Eric roared full of anger.

His golden hair fluttered, wildly swaying from the air. His features were distinctively handsome even though his expression turned akin to that of a ferocious wild beast in a craze. Beneath his feet was a crackling lake of lighting, and countless sparks writhed over his body, making it seem as if his golden robe were a cloak of lightning.

The last to make a move was the boy and the mountain-like giant he was sitting on. The giant brandished its wolf-tooth club, swatting a group of monsters along with some Godkins and High Humans fighting in the surrounding.

“Stop that!!” Grandma Elin cried out furiously. Her body turned into a white flash, appearing in front of the giant horned Cyclops, and meeting its wolf-tooth cub with her two swords.

Baaaang!!

The massive wolf club was stopped by the pair of swords that seemed like toothpicks compared to the wolf-tooth club, it was really an incredible scene!

“Old Grandma, you’re time has already long passed. Pissed off!!”

The young demon boy sitting at the Cyclops shoulder snorted.

“What an ill-mannered brat—though I guess that’s expected, you demons don’t know how to respect your elders. What should I expect?” Grandma Elin retorted back as she parried the massive Wolf-tooth club with her two swords.

Sparks appeared when the weapons met in the air.

“Age doesn’t matter, strength is what we respect! As for you, you’re already like an old lamp depleted with its oil—trash!”

The boy snorted in disgust.

“Let’s see if whose lamp is already depleted, kid!!” Grandma Elin waved her right arm. Her eyes glittered as numerous swords circled around her, and her powerful aura swept out.

Booom! Bangg!! Boooom!! roaring filled the air, and shocking ripples surged out in all directions.

… A battle between peak Demon and Asgardian Gods exploded out in the blink of an eye.

The true Demon-God War began!!

*** ***

“RrrroooOOOAAAaaarrrRRR!!” howled the Demons, turning to shoot toward the Norse God City; Asgard’s direction.

BooOOmmM!!

Countless monsters were constantly rushing towards Asgard as if without an end.

Eerika killed more than a few thousands of them alone but there were still many on the ground. However, she did not have the time to care about those that bypassed her position and only left it to the people behind her.

Meanwhile, the other Asgardians and those younger generations who came from other God Clans had also rushed to join the battle. They didn’t care anymore as this might be the last war of the Celestial Realm against the Demon Invaders.

If the Asgardians lost, it would be akin to that the Celestial Realm starting to lose this war, after all, Asgard is one of the Major God City in the God Continent—so why don’t they just use their life and fight to the death with honor and bravery rather than sit somewhere else and run away, only to face a world full of despair…?

Fight…!

“…You bastards, don’t think of leaving here alive!!” thought Eerika, her eyes radiating coldness.

Along with the rest of the experts and warriors in the vicinity, their eyes came to rest on the crowds of demons rushing towards them in full craze mode. It looks like a massive tsunami with only a few rocks trying to stop them, however, these few rocks were like immovable mountains as they didn’t even cower nor retreated.

Their expressions full of determination and craze—indeed, craze because only lunatics would stand here and face this kind of army with only a few of them!

However, they cannot show weakness!

Because they are descendants of Gods!

Numbers are not what matters in a War—only who’s to be Killed…!!

… …

Eerika remained focused as she knew she had to fight with every fiber in her this time.

She brandished her spear, twirling it a few times and then leaped forward, disappearing from where she stood earlier. She gave a giant monster blocking her front a side glance, then thrusting out her spear like usual.

Baaang!!

The giant tiger-like demonic creature was slaughtered by the spear without any resistance, showing her power. Not only was that, but the blue colored spear she was using was an incomparably sharp weapon as well, greatly boosting her destructive potential.

Although the monsters had a strong defense, that was only in comparison to normal High Human warriors. In front of the top grade treasure like the Blue Star Destroyer Spear, one of the Balder Clan’s treasures, the defensive capabilities of the monsters and Demons were no different than a piece of paper!

“Baang!” “Booom!” “Baang!” “Booom!” “Baang!” “Swiiiish!”

As Eerika killed her way around the battlefield, Monsters and Demonic Beasts were reaped like wheat.

Against these low-level monsters and demons, there was no need to use her light beams. Slaughtering them with the spear was the best way to conserve her strength and magic power all throughout the war.

The spear was a weapon that was inherently forged to engage in mass warfare.

At this moment, Eerika heard a roar and saw a massive two-headed black wolf rushing towards her.

Two-headed Demonic Wolf?

An Orthros Wolf!

This was a top fifth level demonic beast, and its strength was comparable to a peak Lesser Deity.

Then, there was another roar, and next to the two-headed wolf was a giant Iron Spiked Storm Bear. Its strength was no less than that of the two-headed Demonic Wolf. And what was terrifying was that the Iron Spiked Storm Bear had an amazing defensive power and destructive offensive power, using its arms that were covered by a gauntlet-like armor carapace full of sharp spikes. In fact, from what Eerika knows, within all of the fifth-level Demonic Beasts in the Horde up until now, it had the absolute strongest defense!

In a massive assault of forces, a demonic beast with the astounding defense was much more formidable and difficult to deal with than an agile demonic beast or demons!

Two top fifth-level demonic beasts appeared, charging straight towards the Asgardian’s formation!

If these demonic beasts were to rush into the formation, they would easily be able to rip their way through the City’s Barrier wall, creating a massive opening. Once a gap was opened in the defenses, demonic beasts would begin pouring in from there!

“Tsk!” Eerika clicked her tongue in anger. Without hesitation, she chose to greet them first.

Mair and the other Asgardian youths who was following Eerika’s trail, had their eyes widened as they watched Eerika run over.

They also wanted to run over and help, at least to divert the attention of the demonic beasts and demons surrounding her so that Eerika would be able to kill those two top fifth-level demonic beasts more easily.

They know that among them Eerika’s level and even offensive power is the strongest. But at this moment, Eerika’s speed reached an extreme, and she suddenly turned into a fading afterimage.

Truthfully, as the Descendant of Balder of Light, Eerika’s speed was among the fastest in the younger generations of Asgardians, only second to that of the Lightning God Clan; Thor’s Descendant.

She inherited the trait of moving at the speed of light, making her already above the average generation of hers!

Along with her rapid growth advancement, Eerika’s power was a realm of her own!

Boooom!

As Eerika shot herself towards the monsters, a large sonic boom exploded behind her and the crowd of monsters that tried to block her was simply useless, massacred along the way. Wherever she goes, a line of crimson blood appeared on the ground, tailing her.

Pu pu pu!! Blood sprayed into the air. All of the demonic beasts and demons in Eerika’s path were torn apart by her spear, not stopping her for even a minute.

“I’ll support you, go Eerika!!”

From behind her, Elena’s voice rang out. Turning towards her, Eerika’s lips curled upwards as she nodded, rushing directly towards the Fifth-level demonic beasts without impediment. Numerous golden lights shot out from above her wherever she goes, shooting towards the monsters and demons that tried to attack and surround her.

“…you’ve really grown up—you’re the Balder Clan’s pride and my beloved daughter!” Elena watches Eerika’s back with a proud and gratified smile.

Eerika’s unbelievable growth these past few months, she had seen it with her own eyes.

So fast, so incredible…!

She seems to be growing stronger by the minute…

It’s quite hard to believe that she has such talent despite being so young. She’s got a bright future ahead of her, that even she, her mother can’t help but feel it unbelievable. Though… her rapid advancement was certainly because of…‘Him’—a face of a certain person appeared in her mind, causing Elena to not feel whether she should smile or cry.

Ever since he had appeared, her daughter had changed. Completely changed. As for whether their meeting was a good one or not, Elena has yet to know. But right now, she can say that Eerika’s change is one she can be proud of.

Every encounter is a blessing of life—whether good or bad, the outcome will always teach everyone in the end, a lesson of life.

Whether you engaged on it or ignored it is another matter, though. However, there is something that which one could never change nor ignored, that every encounter has a role in our lives and possess the power to change our lives forever…

That’s why, for her daughter’s happiness!

Elena’s warm expression distorted and became utterly cold.

You vile demons should return to where you came from!!

Elena’s eyes gleamed in killing intent. Her body glowed golden as if the sun was behind her, giving her a halo.

pesshoo! pesshoo! pesshoo!! along with her sword that seemed like a golden snake dancing in the air, rays of golden beams showered the monsters and demons around her.

Go my dear…!

Make us proud!!

As Eerika rapidly moved ahead, all that was left behind was a brilliant fog of blood!

RooOOaaaAAArrRRRR—!!

Facing this insolent fragile figure bravely rushing towards it, the Iron Spiked Storm Bear sent out angry roars. The Two-headed Demonic Wolf King also howled, rushing towards Eerika.

Eerika twirled the blue spear on her hand and then swung it sideward before stepped at the side, creating beautiful blue arcs of light as blood spurted around her.

Many demons slowly started falling down one after another, as Eerika started attacking and moving as elusive as the clouds and as malleable as water, switching between various attacking methods with her spear that look like a living snake, piercing and stabbing those it laid its eyes on.

Wooosh. She easily dodged the oncoming attacks. Her spear slashed and stabbed while a golden beam of lights pierced through the monsters and demons throats when it had the chance.

Amidst the raging battlefield, she was like a leaf, fluttering in the wind.

In a blink of an eye, Eerika immediately arrived in front of the two powerful monsters.

“Haaaaa!!!”

She didn’t even pause, her spear pierced forwards!

Kachaa—!!

An azure spear light cut through the void, slashing straight towards the Iron Spike Storm Bear.
