Chapter 117: [ Attack by Assassins ]

Chapter 117: [ Attack by Assassins ]

Liu Muxiao was shocked until she took a step backward, yet she could not escape his grasp.

Suddenly, he grasped firmly both of her shoulders; his strength was so great until she suspected if her bones would be crushed into pieces.

“I was filled with guilt, thinking how stupid and useless I was. Yet, when I found you, you were still acting like before. As if it had never happened… the thing between us, was it really that shallow that could easily be forgotten?” Allen groaned hopelessly.

Such a despair and angry questioning tone made Liu Muxiao unable to say “sorry.” Thus, she sub consciously closed her eyes and did not dare to look at him.

“I decided long ago that when I finally found you, I would certainly beg for forgiveness. For those words, I had said and… for killing your father.”

“All this time I was guilty about it, if I have known, I might have done something different.”

“But here you are, treating me as if I was stranger… do you know how painful was that?!”

Liu Muxiao lowered her head: “I’m sorry.”

Suddenly, Liu Muxiao heart felt a sharp pain, the clearer the details, the more pain she felt. Without warning, the tears, one by one, started to drop gradually and could not be suppressed.

Allen could not see her expression because her head was bowed down, but her grievance and sad appearance actually emerged in his mind at this very moment.

Every expression was vivid in his mind, so clear that the next moment he would become soft-hearted.

Allen bit his lips and swiftly released her. The disappointment and anger in his eyes were so great that they could slice her alive into a thousand pieces.

A good while later, he calmly spoke up with difficulty: “So, is that all you want to say? Sorry? If it’s that, then I forgive you so you can go now… and never show yourself in front of me again.”

Allen clicked his tongue, turned around and started walking away.

The other two women and one snake who couldn’t join the conversation were watching with dumbfounded expressions. They didn’t know how to react or behave in this kind of scene that could only be seen in TV dramas.

When Allen started walking away, aside from Madam White who immediately followed, Tang Yu and Sun Lingling could only follow him with their eyes in the daze.

The development was just way too fast, they couldn’t catch up!

It’s like they were just riding a motorcycle while the other pair was riding an F1.

“Allen, wai--!”

“Hm?”

Liu Muxiao anxiously called out but suddenly Allen stopped walking.

“Master!!”

Behind him, Madam White suddenly called out and rushed towards him. She then immediately coiled herself around Allen.

Ping! Pang!

Two metallic sounds echoed, startling Liu Muxiao and the others.

Thong!

Their sight then turned towards the two long needles’ that had fallen to the ground after hitting Madam White’s scales.

“Lowly humans!!!” Madam White’s ruby eyes flashed from anger and intense killing intent overwhelmed the whole area.

“You bastards! How dare you attack my master!! Do you want to die?!!”

This voice startled the people hiding in the area and almost turns around to flee. They had never thought that the huge white snake could actually sense them and most of all, talk in human language!!

If not for the order, they would have already run away right now. No matter how you see it, that huge white snake is one hell of a monster!!

As some were mulling over, several brain dead people jump from their hiding places and landed in front of Allen and Madam White.

Six people were wearing pitch black clothes with masks, completely hiding their faces.

““Young master!!”” seeing these assassins, Tang Yu and Sun Lingling immediately rushed over.

Even Liu Muxiao went in motion.

Exploding in intense anger, Madam White let out a loud and deafening roar and opened her mouth but before she could attack, Allen raised his hand and stops her.

“Master!?”

“Stay back, Baishe!” Allen said with a distorted smile.  “These guys, are my prey!”

!!? Allen stepped forward. His black parka swayed by the breeze along with his obsidian colored hair.

He wore a smile but for some reason, this smile never reached his eyes.

A terrifying killing intent swallowed the whole area and in his pair of eyes, an intense blood thirst flashed like Christmas lights.

The early sunny weather obviously should not be too cold. However, the people present suddenly felt chills in the blowing wind, the cold was felt all the way from the bottom of the feet to the heart.

What, what is this?! A figure in black was shocked. It’s as if the killing intent materialize into being, grasping their hearts and body. They couldn’t move nor speak.

Looking at the youth’s pitch black eyes, the black figure even more shivered. Those eyes that seem not looking to a fellow human but a corpse sent a chill through his spine.

We need to run! He thought to himself but no matter how he forced himself to move, he couldn’t even move a finger. He felt heavy and suffocated.

Allen was smiling while walking forward.

He never noticed them a while ago since he was getting emotional towards Liu Muxiao, disregarding his environment. But now, reactivating his [ Sonar ] he clearly saw them as if he watching in front of a game monitor with map system.

He detected several oddly nervous presences aside from the people in front.

These presences told him that there were still people holding their breath while hiding.

A presence that desired to hide their selves but was unable to, reeked of bloodthirsty impulses.

Allen spread out his [ Sonar ] and directly linked to the information dimension — the colossal information body that contained the data for the myriad objects around him.

Four- no, five people in total…

Each of them carried weapons and some even had handguns and small explosives.

Quite prepared…

“You came at the right time…” Allen started.

“Well, I mean I was in a pretty bad mood, to begin with… I was just feeling like I needed to blow off some steam anyway, so I guess you’re quite lucky~”

!!? At that moment, the assassins instantly felt a powerful aura was locked on to their bodies. They suddenly felt as if, the moments they make even the slightest amount of movement, then they would be greeted by death.

“The five people over there hiding can also come out and join the fun because if not I might let you out… forcefully, that is.”

Bang!

A lightning struck a huge tree out of nowhere. It was then followed by a painful scream, reverberating through the entire forest.

Not long after, a figure fell, burned and scorched black.

Wha-!?

Seeing this, the people started shedding cold sweats. They tried hard and step back, away from Allen.

Allen tilted his head and made very brilliant smile. “You’re still not going to show yourself…?”

Shoo! Shoo! Shoo!

In a blink of an eye, one figure leaped away and landed not far away from Allen and the others while three hurriedly run away.

“That’s not human!!” one of the men escaping cried out.

“I never heard about this! I thought it was just some mere monster tamer?!” Another man yelled in anxiety. He didn’t try to look back but instead run even faster.

“That man’s no mere tamer!!”

Yes, natural instinct, or at least a part of it. He could feel it…

Like an animal that could feel the danger, cultivators with enhanced perception also could do it.

It was terrifying.

He had the same quality the soldiers on the front line had but his killing intent was several times more intense as if a thick coating of killing intent covering him like a great coat.

He was dangerous enough to cause a shiver to run down his spine and enough to make him wonder what kind of monster was that amiable looking youth.

His shoulders shook violently as he wished that his feet could run faster like the wind and escape from the demon that is constantly watching them.

Unfortunately for him and the others, it’s not like they had never heard the information about it but it’s just that the information they acquired was already outdated!

Indeed, Allen’s just a tamer in the previous life. His skills are completely far different from the current him.

With the addition of the [ Goro Goro no Mi ], there were also many powerful skills in his arsenals. Moreover, currently, Allen is not relying on the quantity of the monsters but quality.

If compared to before, he might have fewer monsters but his current tamed monsters are far stronger than before. With the average of Lv5, it could be said that all his monsters were top-notched especially in this current stage of the world.

They were already several dozen meters away and one even heaves a sigh of relief. He turned around and looks at his other two comrades and wanted to say something but before he could do that, he suddenly felt something ominous above him.

The moment he raised his head,

Bang!!

A huge lightning struck from the sky, hitting him senseless. All he could feel was the slowly fading of his consciousness and the numbness spreading through his entire body.

Boom!

Bang!

Boom!!

Bang!!

Four consecutive lightning struck the three people, causing them to fell to the ground along with the excruciating screams akin to a pig being butchered.

“They’re so rude…” Allen snorted while watching all of this happened.

“Running away without even a single greeting…”

Watching what had transpired, the other seven people shocked and dumbfounded. They had never expected for this kind of development.

What kind of power is this?!

Seeing the current Allen, not only Liu Muxiao but Tang Y, as well as Sun Lingling, felt something was wrong. Allen’s current personality is too different from his normal one.

What is going on?

They didn’t know but it’s just what they had expected. The current Allen is not the normal Allen.

Due to having his emotions being stirred by Liu Muxiao, it became a mess and uncontrollable. He couldn’t organize his emotions and restrict his self that it woke up something different.

Certainly, just what had Allen said, these assassins really lucky and came at a great time~

Liu Muxiao was watching this scene with a complicated expression. Of course, she knows who sends these assassins. Although she didn’t know who the mastermind clearly is but at least it should be one of those Martial Sects…

But who…?

She should have at least given them the warning. They shouldn’t do these stupid actions blatantly like this…

As she was thinking, a deep male voice suddenly rang out.

“Muxiao, remember what I had said?”

“Wushuang?” Because she did not expect it, Liu Muxiao was shocked.

It was Allen. His tall body in silhouette. He stood with his back to her and did not turn around.

“I don’t know who the idiot who sends them is but, I’m pretty sure that it was one of those people who you have begged for me to spare…”

The atmosphere between them turned somewhat depressing.

There was no reply for a long time, so Allen turned around.

“So, do you still think the same? Is choosing them really much more significant than choosing me?”

Liu Muxiao stood a few meters away. She pursed up her lips tightly and her complexion was pale.

“...but even so, I can’t let you kill them.” Liu Muxiao said softly while staring at the ground, “They are important, not only for the people but also for this country…”

“The Ten Martial Sect, the government, the noble families… if you took care of them, then, this country would be practically defenseless!”

Suddenly, the stab of pain in Allen’s heart, made him unconsciously clenched his fist.

“I see…”
