Chapter 708: [Cerberus]
The infernal flames wielded by Asmodeus and Amy were especially effective in situations where the enemies were numerous for they both toppled the demons one after another like a sickle to a bunch of wheat.
Even if there were a few scattered demons and fallen angels that managed to break through Amy’s line of defense to the back of the lines, Asmodeus would also synchronize her attacks to whack them to the ground.
As for Andrealphus, he would have been in a sticky situation if he was to be surrounded. But so long as the enemy continued to trickle from the front, it didn’t matter how many enemies there were for it just didn’t pose a problem to him. Spreading the colorful tail behind him, illusion captured every demon in front of him, as they stared at the eye-like images on his tail. Then, arrow-like feathers would kill those who have not been ably drowned in his illusion—
And it was just moments before that Andrealphus had pinned another group of demons to the ground while giving a loud roar.
“---Master Andrealphus! There’s still one more heading behind you……”
A figure who descended from the sky shouted towards Andrealphus.
Just as the figure had warned, a fallen angel holding a spear of light and heavy metal chains was rushing towards him.
Andrealphus hurriedly made a move but was slow by a beat as the chains snaked around it, locking him down and causing him to be dulled in his movements.
I will get hit…!
Andrealphus' pair of eyes that look like that of a bird narrowed into a slit as he prepared himself to receive the brunt of the spear of light, in any case, it wouldn’t kill him instantly and prepared to counter instead—
The fallen angel proceeded to aim his spear at Andrealphus with his other hand.
“Irk…Irksome!”
But before the enemy could throw the dangerous spear of light, a flash of light sliced the spearhead off its shaft.
“Eh……?”
“Die!!!”
Andrealphus was still in his bewilderment when the figure that had descended from the sky grabbed and smashed the fallen angels head into the ground. After giving it two or three hard knocks, the fallen angel lost all signs of resistance as it lay quietly on the ground. Die or Alive, his status was doubtful. Although Andrealphus was still surprised by the sudden appearance of a familiar friend, he decided to give the priority of his focus to the enemies around him.
“I’ll support you, Master Andrealphus!”
BoooOm!!
The female figure struck the ground with her fist and the ground shook and countless rock spears shot out from the ground. Impaling all the demon and fallen angels around them.
“What are you doing here… Malococo…?!”
Andrealphus brows furrowed as he glared at the female figure that had appeared out of nowhere, never expected for her appearance, especially here in Gula.
“Don’ be like that, we are on the same side, are we?”
Malococo muttered with a faint smile. She has long, cerulean blue hair that she ties in a braid that reaches past her waist with short bangs, and blue eyes. She was wearing a long military-like blue uniform and trousers, looking a bit boyish.
“…I wonder about that…”
Andrealphus frowned.
“He he, isn’t this what they call, the enemy of your enemy, is your friend…? And so, we can be considered friends, are we?”
“…Hmph! Bullshit! The enemy of your enemy doesn’t mean a friend! They will always be a stranger—a stranger you can never put your trust in!”
Andrealphus snorted in displeasure. Although it was really infuriating, however, Andrealphus know that he cannot let his emotions run wild now, not at least when his beloved master is here in this place fighting.
The situation had yet to stabilize and his master's safety has yet to be affirmed. There are so many monsters and demons here that even with their powers, there is still a chance of their defeat. Thus, he cannot chase away a helping hand...at least, not at this moment.
He indeed needed much help to protect his master…
Even if a dog or a mutt is alright as long as he can protect his master—!
And if Malococo extends her hand, then, he can only grit his teeth and grab it!
Malococo's power and strength are one of the forefronts of the Demon World. Her help is pretty much necessary.
“…however, if you made any untoward against my master… I will kill you without hesitation, Malococo…!”
Andrealphus glared at the girl who was still grinning from ear to ear.
"You better not think of giving help to earn my trust!"
“…let’s see about that when that time comes~”
Malococo's lips arched into a mischievous smile.
… …
“Aaaaahhhh!!”
One loud roar, like a clap of thunder in the sky, shocking the hearts of people. Allen’s lips curled into a savage grin, he charged into the surrounding demons and fallen angels before his eyes, only to rip apart these force with brute force.
No fancy magic attacks other than the occasional lightning bolts that seemed to be protecting him from above, as, with only a swing of his sword, countless lives were reaped in an instant.
Following his approach, five spears pierced towards his body, he leaped up, the spears missed their targets, his wrist flipped over. The broad and powerful sword of Rebellion flew out along with a burst of flame, hitting more than thirty people as they flew out from the ground, trying to keep up with him. Then, with noble grace, he dropped to the ground--from above, the ground seems to flow beneath him as he hangs in flight, then hits, somersaulting up once again.

Dozens of lives were reaped by Rebellion and then, jumping to the spot where the group of fallen angels was crowded together, he roared with savage excitement: “You warriors… let’s have fun, shall we?! Together in a tornado of blood!!”
The Rebellion flickered a dazzling bright gold light, like a golden shooting star that dropped down from the sky. With Allen’s savage laughter, a golden shooting star fell down from the sky, dropping to the ground--
"Let's do this!!"
A world-shaking loud sound echoed, the land affected by the power split open area by area, the monsters and demons on the ground were being lifted up and flew out everywhere after they got hit by this great amount of power—they got wrecked and smashed into pieces, armors and weapons went flying in all directions, the whole sky sprinkling with the rain of blood and torn flesh.
On the ground surface, the rocks and earth were as if being instilled by terrible powers, as they hit the demons and fallen angels one by one. A succession of clear and loud sounds, although the armors of the demonic warriors were extremely thick, and the sharp blades were difficult to be damaged, but those rocks actually hit them hard as they got knocked off from behind their comrades.
Numerous Fallen Angels suffered painfully from the hit of rocks as they constantly shrieked some of them even got their bones fractured. The number of casualties affecting the majority—a great scale of defeat was evident among the disposition of the enemy force.
Allen was unstoppable!
However,
“Hm?!” Allen’s expression turned solemn as his rampage was interrupted by the threat, that even the world seemed to be trembling, which exceeded that of their current battle.
“The ground’s shaking…… really intensely!”
Allen’s movements and actions stopped, as so the others around him. The magnitude of the quake was so great that one would immediately understand that this was no natural disaster and it was able to bend and break up the ground of the Demon World that was supposed to be resistant to such earth movements.
The sound of houses collapsing above ground could be heard. And it wasn’t just one or two but sounded more of dozens at a time.
The tremor that seemed like a deliberate attempt to change the geological landscape—that was the feeling that this intense earthquake gave to others.
This kind of earthquake…
Why must it be at this time……
It must have been a deliberate act of someone to have created this tremor. Although the exact method or purpose for that action was unknown, however, Allen’s thoughts were already set on that assumption.
“Could it be……’that’ had started to move…?”
Allen’s lips curled into a grin.
Then,
「————AAAAAWWWOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooAAAAAAAAAAAAYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaWWWWOOOOOOOoooooooooo!!!」
That cry of absolute might had even caused the ground to shake and the world to tremble.
Ground, buildings and houses, all crumbled due to the roar and showering down upon the city. Allen’s vigilance skyrocketed as he felt bloodlust and murderous intent coming from every direction—it was so strong it can literally drown someone to death.
The killing intent was overflowing, like some sort of storm, it was difficult to pinpoint clearly where it was coming from. It was basically every direction like floodwater came bursting in from every place, it overwhelmed the battlefield without discrimination between allies and foes.
---and hence, he wasn’t able to notice it earlier.
“Wha—?!”
From deep beneath the ground where Allen was standing, an eruption occurred.
“Master!!!”
Following the sound of an atmospheric explosion, there were two other shouts.
*Guish*
— came the sound of a fist shattering.
Blood sprayed and dyed Allen’s clothes in red.
“……Da, mn……?”
Allen smiled bitterly as he found himself suffering from a fatal injury. His Godly perception that can sense any hostility towards him, any murderous intention, any presence-- at this moment, backfired on him. Because of his senses being overloaded, he was late to react, and thus, was hit fatally.
The claw that had suddenly appeared from below had ripped open his abdomen, puncturing his organs. Even several of his ribs were broken and blood gushed out below him, creating a puddle of blood and was then transformed into countless snakes and poisonous scorpions.
Allen’s face slightly turned pale as if blood drained out of his complexion. His fist had made contact with the claw before receiving the strike from it but the reaction alone was enough to cause that fist to bend and fracture. As expected from that bastard…
Allen smiled wryly. Then, he was lifted up. With its claw still piercing his abdomen.
“Master!!!!”
Allen can hear the anxious cries from behind but it was then drowned by the noises of the battlefield. However, he didn’t have the time to care about it as his focus completely fixed at the monster that had appeared from beneath him without his attention.
Almost over thirty feet tall, fierce, and monstrous—it had three throats as well as heads, resembling that of a dog with a mane like a lion. It possesses gleaming red eyes that seemed to cause terror to those who saw it. On its back, was a pair of enormous, angelic-like, black wings and a breastplate and helmets of metal in each head, studded with a large, red, and precious stone.
The infamous ‘Hound of Hades’ and the ‘Watchdog of Hell’…
Cerberus!!
All three heads rose up and stared at Allen, pierced on its claws—its three jaws opened, revealing the blade-like fangs.
“It’s been so long… Dante,”
The center head suddenly spoke as he quietly measured up Allen with its six eyes. All three heads stared at Allen with mirth appearing on each of their eyes.
“……No matter how long it has been for me, the sight of hell on earth sure makes my blood boil with excitement as always…don’t you think so, Dante?”
The monster muttered with a deep raspy voice.
A breeze came up and the stench of blood and death wafted on their noses. The piled-up corpses and dismembered bodies were rolled to the side...the red blood flows like rivers through crevices and fissures and the broken houses and buildings accompanied by wails and screams of pain and fear of every people in this City. Especially those innocent ones who were caught up in this war.
Allen grinned. His face pale but his expression was still beaming as if his condition was no grave.
“……Ha. Same here….. What an earth-shaking…… turn of events. I didn’t expect you to appear here, Beast of Gluttony!”
“Of course. Actually, since the prodigal son had come back, don’t you think it would be impolite of me if I won’t even show my face to an old friend, Dante?”
“…Say what you want. In any case, you look bloody awful.”
Allen smirked in contempt.
“Not as much as you!”
The right head snickered.
“Look what you have become! A measly human!”
“It’s not that bad, actually.”
Allen smiled indifferently.
“Well, is that the only reason why you are here? Then, thanks for the 'warm' welcome, now can you make way? I still have a date with my dear brother and those idiots out for my blood~”
Allen muttered with a mischievous smirk as his hands grasped the Cerberus claws piercing him and tried to pull his body out.
“Grrrrr!!”
The three head growled at Allen, their eyes glowing blood red. Its three heads leaned closer, scrutinizing Allen's face with near vision.
"So stubborn, you have no future already...fighting against fate is a foolish thing, Dante,"
“You smell funny.”
Allen grinned as he placed pressure upon his pierced abdomen.
“You never change, Cerberus… you’re as ugly as always,”
His expression still light as if he was not feeling any pain…and instead, stared amusedly at the heads of the infamous Cerberus, that has the face of a cougar or a panther with a mane.
“I could say the same thing to you, Dante! Me being ugly is only in your perception…”
Said the right in a smirking manner.
“…It’s only a proof that me, a higher existence above you, would never be able to be understood by the likes of you—those unknown to humans will always be perceived in the spectrum of monstrosity—but that does not matter, your impoliteness that is. I guess it can be called a parting gift before sending you on your way.”
Giving its huge wrist a flick, it flung Allen off its claws. At the same time, a large volume of blood spurted out from the puncture wounds but the flow was forcefully staunched by the power of his regeneration.
Allen twirled in the air, and then landed in the ground, wiped the blood at the corner of his mouth, and took a fighting stance as gave a condescending laugh.
“Oh my, that sure is thoughtful for a mere beast who only knows how to devour.”
“Kehe he hehe, you’ve wrestled with the darkness and prevailed, Dante. The outcast of the Demon World, I had a feeling you will show up someday! And despite everyone thinking that the great Wise Man had already disappeared, I have faith that you will return…!”
The left head roared in laughter.
“I always have!”
“Well let’s not chalk that up to pious premonitions, okay? You knew I will come to stop the stupid brother of mine from doing something idiotic…that’s what brothers are for!”
Allen shrugs.
“And so, can you give way? I still have a reunion that I cannot miss~”
“Then, you should have kneeled and let yourself be captured—Grrrrr, you can only pass through me if you are writhed in chains, Dante!”
The center head roared and the sound wave emitted from his roar blasted all the debris and creatures nearby, save for Allen who still smiling indifferently.
