Chapter 596: [ Gathering of the Players ]

““… …””

Neither one of them said anything for about a minute, just lying there, still joined together, looking deeply into each other's eyes, and basking in the afterglow of their extremely intimate session. Both feeling the intense happiness and relief at having experienced that which they had denied themselves for so long, as well as the exciting prospect that their relationship had progressed to a whole new and much more appealing level.

New life…

Both of them thought and were extremely ecstatic about it…

A new life where he and she would always be together, in life and death, sharing both pain and pleasure…

More than that, both the Allen and the noble beauty; Liu Muxiao complete, whole. And it was indeed a wondrous thing.

It was Liu Muxiao who spoke up first. "Wow," she said in a quivering voice. "That was… I mean, um…"

Allen chuckled. "So the great Liu Muxiao has been rendered speechless, huh?"

Liu Muxiao grinned and swatted him on the arm, pushing him and making him roll on his on the bed next to her. This action also unjoined their two bodies. "Shut up, Allen," she snapped, though still smiling at the whole situation. "I just have to admit that this whole… episode was completely unexpected. I just thought that my dream of being with you in my past life had finally come true—now, all I need is to work hard and Xiao Wu would surely be with us once again. Together like a real family this time…”

"Muxiao," Allen sighed happily, "I know… the regret in our past life, we will surely fulfill all of it together. You and I… and our daughter…together forever… “

“…and to do that, I ain’t making you rest…yet!”

Liu Muxiao turned over and suddenly rolled on top of him and he was inside her before he knew what was happening.

Allen grinned…

For a time, the room’s temperature sharply rises, the man’s deep breathing and the lady’s staggered wails reverberate through the room.

After about an hour, the couple finally calmed down after rolling around the big bed, they used a big blanket to cover the mess, and snuggled with each other.

It seemed that Liu Muxiao had yet to recover her senses as her whole body leaned weakly onto Allen’s chest, her two lumps of tender flesh squeezed each other, displaying an erotic sight. Their breathing was ragged and the girl’s heart was beating like mad. She could hear Allen’s heart pounding erratically in his chest as her head rested there. His hands slowly let go of her hips as they began to relax.

One of his hands moved to her hair stroking it and pulling it away from her face. His other hand traced patterns on her bare skin.

Liu Muxiao was so worn out now that she couldn't move. Not that she wanted too. The feeling of him still inside of her as he stroked her hair and caressed her bare skin was so soothing. She never wanted to be anywhere else.

Liu Muxiao felt her eyelids start to droop as the rhythmic motions seemed to lull her to sleep. Her mind was full of their intimate moment that she had longed for two lifetimes. With Allen’s intelligence, he should have easily perceived the abnormal behavior that she wanted to hurriedly solidify their relationship and was filled with anxiousness and panic out of fear that there would be some unforeseen misfortune.

Still, he didn’t ask her…

In response, she had not answered his silent question either.

If she had said, “I’m afraid I will never see you again,” it would have seemed too soppy and melodramatic.

Or perhaps he would have found the situation unbelievably strange.

In any case, the two of them was already together, that is something she had wished for and longed for day and night.

Her dream that she had desperately tried to chase. She doesn’t need anything at this moment, nor would she want to think other worthless things.

As long as Allen was beside her, that is enough…!

… …

The entire main palace was giving off a grand and magnificent, solemn and awe-inspiring atmosphere. At this moment, Allen leaned against the Throne Chair. Leaning against the chair in a slightly reclined position, he was reading a book which was lighted by the dim light peeking from the dark clouds above the head.

Relaxing classical music was being played in the room, and even the heavy rain couldn't disturb the cozy atmosphere.

Allen had always been a man of few words. Laura, on the other hand, had a charming smile on her face as if she was satisfied with where life was headed. She stood behind Allen like a good servant and occasionally pours down tea on his cup the moment it was emptied.

This kind of scene felt very warm.

Though such scenes only appear in romantic movies, now these two have such an atmosphere around them that can make others felt jealous or warm just by looking at them. It was so perfect that if someone was there, they would surely not dare to come up and appear, fearing to destroy such harmony.

And most of all, Laura standing quietly behind while Allen was sitting on the chair, reading a book looked like a pair.

The temperament of the two sides is harmonious, very peaceful and wonderful.

In fact, Allen has asked her to sit down but Laura prefers this as she wanted to serve him whole-heartedly—that was her happiness.

Well, Allen like this peacefulness and tranquility… as he was not an active or a crowd person, he felt comfortable and happy of this peace and quiet.

“…What are you going to do…?”

Stolen novel; please report.

Allen, who was reading a book, turned towards the owner of the voice.

Layla and Alkrasha were looking at him as they sat on the sofa near the throne chair. Beside them was Celty who was tinkering on something and besides her was Liu Muxiao and Xue Ling. The other within the Throne Hall was Mireya, Asmodeus, Laura, the Fox twins; Li Tian and Li Lian, and lastly, Qin who was eating a cake silently.

“…going to do what?” Allen tilts his head in confusion.

“…the gathering of the players…” Liu Muxiao answered simply.

“Ah…” Allen stops as he remembered.

[ Gathering of the Players ] it was gathering done by the spirit of the Dungeon, calling all challengers from all over the thousand worlds into one place—though the purpose of the gathering was not mentioned, Allen still felt there might be something else behind it.

It was mentioned by the Dungeon’s System—in Allen’s case, the spirit of Romeia Luminous Eltrade, a few days ago, making them prepare. Layla and the others as well had received the invitation. As for Allen, since he came solo inside the Dungeon, he was given the right to bring at least two to three people to his liking, acting as his consorts.

“…Another elaborate scheme…” Allen muttered indifferently.

“What are you going to do…?” Alkrasha muttered as she extended her hand and pick a cupcake on the small round table. “If you’re going then, I guess we will as well…”

“…Even if I won’t go, I would be forced in any case. Besides, meeting other challengers would be quite interesting, I guess…” Allen grinned.

“Ah, right Husband… what are you doing…? You seemed to be quite busy these past few days…?” Celty tilted her head and ask. “You haven’t spent much time with me, you know…”

Allen smiled apologetically, “Sorry about that Celty… I’m trying to make something. Though, for some unknown reason, it still won’t succeed no matter what… I’m in the trial and error phase for now so it’s a bit dangerous…”

“What thing…?”

“It’s a secret for now…” Allen smiled mischievously.

“Ahh meanie…!” Celty pouted. When she pouts her mouth, her rich delicate lips had an indescribable charm in it.

Allen was almost smitten.

[ Master… ]

Suddenly, a voice rang out and Allen’s wristwatch lit up. With timing as if she did it on purpose, a fairy girl appeared in the mid-air...

It was... an incredibly strange girl.

A fantasy-like figure, she had fluttery clothes, and if fairies were to appear right now, she would definitely be seen as one of them. Though, her size was eye-catching, the size of a palm. She’s more like a pixie than a fairy…

“Ho? What’s that?”

“That’s cute…!”

The pixie’s appearance immediately catches everyone’s attention and they immediately gathered around it. Following, the pixie-like little girl bowed politely towards them while introducing herself.

Bei Bei, her real appearance was the small snake transformer that coiled itself around Allen’s wrist, acting like a wristwatch and a high technology communicator and phone at the same time.

With Allen’s help, Bei Bei managed to create an AI hologram persona in order to facilitate and organized things depending on computer information and data, as Allen wanted. The appearance she had right now is nothing but a holographic projection, as a proof of that was her figure often blurred together with the noise.

“Bei Bei, does the thing I ask you to do already done?” Allen asked as the little pixie gently landed at the top of the wristwatch on Allen’s left hand.

[ Master, the mapping had already been completed. ]

A soft yet machine-like voice rang out from the hologram.

“Mapping…?” Xue Ling who had come over carrying a tray of drinks asked, interested.

Allen smiled faintly and replied; “It’s about the Nine Mountains… I asked Bei Bei to map the entire area…”

“What for…?”

Allen smiled bitterly, “I can’t use my power to do it, by spreading my perception. The Dragon King also warned me about that. It seems like, he was indeed not the only Monster King dragged here for the trial. There’s another one as well. However, the Dragon King said that although he triumphs in power against the other Monster King, however, if it is against me, I would still be lacking a bit. If I fight it now, there’s a chance of me losing…is what he said. So, he warned me not to attract its attention for the time being…”

“So that’s why you use the power of Science…?”

Allen nodded. “I’m fine if I stayed inside the Ruinos Castle as it masked my presence. However, if I were still doing it, my aura will leak out and it would surely come to find me. Being investigated through Spiritual Sense seems to be a kind of challenge for Monster Kings. However, using science, it wouldn’t be detected…”

Allen looks at the thing that had materialized in his hand.

It was big enough to be barely fit in both hands.

It had a shape of a dodecahedron with a large number of lenses embedded next to each other on its surface.

Allen twirled it on his hand for a while before finding the switch. A pale light flowed from the moving lens, and the walls were covered with mysterious space one after another.

A projector…

It was some kind of a terminal with a holographic 3D Image small projector; it was a machine that projected a 3d image in a predetermined range.

“It looks extremely sci-fi…” Liu Muxiao muttered as she glanced all while playing a trump with the others.

The almost transparent image reflected in front of them depicted the picture of a Nine Tall Mountains and within them were countless red dots along with blue color dots.

[ Master, the red dots meant monsters while blue dots meant human beings. Though, when I was scanning the entire area, I noticed a very strange yet extremely powerful signal at the third mountain, locating at the top—it should be the Monster King that master was talking about. ]

“Can you display the image…?”

[ Negative. I apologize master but either it was the Nine Mountain’s fault or the Monster’s power itself, a strange disturbance disturbs the signal and makes taking a clear image nigh impossible… ]

Allen propped his shoulder on the armrest of the Throne Chair and supported his chin with his palm. He stared at the transparent image in front of him…

“These places…”

Suddenly, several locations took his interest.

There’s a castle in a seventh mountain…?

There’s also a temple…

…And most of all, something like a city…

Most blue dots were gathered within the City—it’s probably a well-known place.

“What about the City…?”

[ Affirmative. ]

The Pixie nodded her head and the image of the Nine Mountains immediately change and turned into a small city landscape. It was an ancient looking city with houses made of bricks and cement—it more like a small town though rather than a city if compared to the high scrapers found in modern cities.

Surrounded by a high wall, there were many people within it, most were cultivators though some doesn’t seem to look like it due to their modern clothes and appearance. Challengers… this name appeared inside Allen’s mind.

So aside from the Cultivators, he comes along with, they were not really the only one who entered the Dungeon… huh…

“Wooow… this is amazing…! So there’s a town like that here…?”

Layla walked over and look at the screen with sparkling eyes. Most girls too came over, full of interest.

“…though look ancient but it’s a beautiful city nonetheless…”

A piece of a relic from an ancient city.

The girls marveled at the sight of the city that seemed to have come from ancient times. The place covered a radius of a hundred miles. Most of it was covered in dense woods, only leaving some mottled walls. The roar of demon beasts could be heard from within the ruins.

These remains from the Ancient Times vaguely told the story of the glory of humanity at that time.

… But that wasn’t making the others surprised.

A real shock that came from the heart.

The City was built upon a vertical cliff that raised roughly a hundred to two hundred feet in the air! This cliff seemed as if it had been formed by a god. It was as if a divine being had used a heavenly sword to cut the earth, forming a square piece of land that shot into the sky like a celestial halberd!

Truly, a natural fortress so to speak…!

The Ancient City was located atop the peak of this cliff that looked like a large pillar. The city walls were hundreds of feet high. The walls were the color of bronze or iron. Inside the City was buzzing with life. Many people passed through it like they had lived on it and there were even people who built stalls and shops, some used the ruins as their own place. In any case, it was filled with life…

This place should be a huge city with tens and hundreds of residents living here. Furthermore, from the map, there are even more lights in the mountains. Seems like the settlements here are not only one.

“…So what are you going to do next…?” Alkrasha asked.

Allen pondered for a moment before a smile appeared on his face. “We’re going towards Gathering of the Players. I don’t know how long would it take though, Romeia said that it would probably take a few days. Thus, I planned for Si Mulan and the rest to gather experience outside while we’re out. However, it would be bad if they suddenly enter a location of absolute death…”

“So you prepared this map, is that it…? Quite kind of you, I say,” Alkrasha grinned teasingly.

“Well, they are still my people, after all…” Allen smiled wryly.
