Chapter 610: [ Demon Eye ]
Their dance garnered tremendous attention as countless pairs of eyes stares at them with envious gazes.
There were some who were envious of Allen for dancing with such beautiful girl intimately. On the other hand, there were groups of women yearning for Allen as well, as they couldn't help but stare at his graceful movements with fervent eyes.
He can be said to be one of the most handsome men in this gathering but his charm should be the greatest of them all. Strange silver hair and beautiful alluring crimson serpent eyes that seemed to be quite devilish, possessing the power to attract any of those who laid their eyes on it. His face’s like the moon of the autumn festival. His color is like the spring flowers and temples seemed as though they were carved out. His eyebrows are like a painting and the contour of his face is like peaches.
And the most eye-catching that caught people’s attention is that his gaze is like ripples of spring, especially the way he looks at the girl he was dancing with—so pure, gentle and warm.
Then, suddenly everyone stopped as they stared at the ceiling with wide-open eyes.
So cold yet so beautiful!
Snow started falling from the ceiling as if it was the winter season. But they are indoors, though—so how is it possible that snow would fall from here? Of course, it’s magic…!
Dazed and excited, they looked around. Everywhere was surrounded by a vast white. Everywhere beautiful snowflakes were falling, dancing in the wind as the orchestra continued playing music and the people continued dancing. A scene out of a fairytale—cheers rang out and applause echoed in the dancing hall as the mood and vigor of every people in the Hall was risen to an incredible level.
Everything was so life-like as if they weren’t inside the hall.
“Oh god! Truly magical!”
“So beautiful…!”
“Dancing the waltz in a snow…incredible…!”
One by one people started dancing happily as they exclaim in wonder and excitement. This is just an illusion, they know about it after all, when the snowflakes drop on the floor, it shone like a little firefly and then slowly disintegrates in the air. However, the cold when touched before falling to the ground was a wonder…
One person caught a snowflake falling and put it on his nose. He also tasted it.
“It’s real snow.”
“Truly too magical!”
…a beautiful moment straight out from princess fairytales…
… …
However, as the saying goes ‘Everything has an end. Nothing lasts forever.’ The dance had come to an end and Kris Tian had a feeling of let down that the spell was broken.
Just like how Cinderella felt when the Clock strikes twelve and the magic of the moment had slowly faded. The pumpkin-shaped carriage had now reverted back into a real pumpkin as the moment that signifies parting had come …
Kris Tian was reluctant but it would be strange if she monopolizes him for the night as she glances at her mother and the other people in her group who was watching them with a wry smile. The prince will go back to the castle while Cinderella needs to return where she belongs~
For the rest of the evening, Allen and Kris had danced with others.
After that, Allen was put through his paces with Layla, Alkrasha, Liu Muxiao, then Mireya, then Laura, Xue Ling, Celty, even Romeia and many more, until finally, he slumped against the wall, exhausted. Such night was extremely long and the dance party was almost never-ending…!
Celty was particularly tough.
Her sense of rhythm was quite unique. Even as a compliment, it couldn't be said that Allen was a terribly good dancer. Since he had never practiced and was only relying on his memories from many lives and in his inhuman motor skills, it was only to be expected. However, he never made a fumble such as stepping on his partner's foot. On the contrary, his steps were impeccable.
During their dance, Roemia had muttered that he "danced like a dance machine," words which could be taken as a compliment or not either way. Stringing together observed behavior then reproducing and adding some bits, Allen’s dancing was, beauty or elegance aside, perfectly and technically accurate, like a programmed robot.
In a sense, however, Celty, in addition, Alkrasha, and Layla were the exact opposite.
Their execution and steps were completely off. Though, Celty was the worst of the lot. Rather than tone-deaf, however, it was more than she had an ingenious sense, such that despite her movements being subtly off for each sound, her dance still elegantly moved along with the flow of the song.
Because of that, Allen was forced to match both Celty and the music, going along with the rhythm of the two and shunting his steps as necessary. His accurate step by step motion has utterly been disrupted with many adlibbing, it was more chaotic and exhausting than normal. In a sense, it looked like he was being dragged by Celty instead.
Any normal person would simply try and match their partner and simply hope everything works out one way or another, but since his body didn't know the proper dance and Allen was simply reproducing the movements in his head, doing something like that was too much. Yet even after Celty left Allen exhausted, going off to look for another partner in high spirits, numerous girls started hanging out before him meaningfully. Although some were beauties comparable to Liu Muxiao and the others but since he doesn’t want to show or display any kind of frivolous attitude to his women, he still kept distance on their advances as much as possible.
Although it was hypocritical as they already know about his character but at the very least, Allen wanted to show to them that he too was trying his best to control his self, that he was not as loose as they thought him to be. He too can also manifest control…
“…haa, that was tiring~” Allen sigh.

And just as he was considering going back to the bar and have a drink, with impeccable timing a glass was held out in front of him.
"......thank you." He turned and saw Liu Muxiao smiling at him.
"You seem tired." she smiled teasingly. She then leaned lazily against Allen’s arms. She looked for a comfortable position and lay down like a lazy cat. Although just a while ago, she’d experienced a hard to understand sorrow and sadness for some unknown reason, especially after looking at a particular person, but being with Allen, Liu Muxiao had the feeling of having pushed away all clouds and now able to see the moon. Her mood became a bit cheerful.
"......haah. Don’t mention it…” Allen smiled wryly in response. While he was talking, his hand put her messy hair back in place. That action was as natural as it could be and very adept like they had been spouses for many years. It’s as if he did it more than a thousand times.
“…more like, how can all of you still be energetic, after all that. Counting numbers, it’s more like it’s been an entire night of dancing here and there. Although, the sun never rise but that’s only an illusion right? Clockwise, it’s been almost two days since this party started…!”
“Well, this kind of occasions rarely happens. With their lives on the scale pretty much every day, I guess I can understand how they wanted to savor this kind of occasion very much and want it to last forever~” Liu Muxiao responded with a soft smile.
Allen smiled wryly, “Well, of course, I understand that point. Furthermore, with the physique of the people gathered here, even if they party for an entire month without rest, they would still be energetic as a lively bull. Even still, things have limits you know…”
“…ha ha, well, don’t be so uptight…” Liu Muxiao leaned the back of her head at Allen’s shoulder and Allen’s lips were just inches away from her ear, as they both watched Layla and the others, dancing with other people, enjoying the occasion. Allen wrapped his arms around Liu Muxiao’s waist and propped his chin on her shoulder.
“…Where is that girl, Kris Tian…was it…?”
Suddenly, Lu Muxia’s voice rang out. The voice was extremely gentle…
“Hm? I heard she say about friends… she probably went back already,” Allen softly spoke-up.
"…Husband, actually… you said, ‘that’ world, right? Is that girl…probably, well, how to say this, ah, sh, she…she’s not…." Liu Muxiao’s eyes flickered. There was a strange uneasiness in her smile.
“Hm? Something wrong…?” Allen raised his head and stared at Liu Muxiao. His face calm, confused.
Seeing him like this, “Nah, it’s nothing…” Liu Muxiao shook her head. There’s no such thing as coincidence… that girl… Her gaze became somewhat distant as she spoke, “I just thought, if that really came from ‘that’ world, then maybe…maybe, we can, you know go into that world…”
“… …” Allen let out a sigh. “I’m sorry…Xiao Mu, however, even if ‘that’ world has, for some reason, become connected in this timeline by accident, I doubt we could go there even if there was a means to do it.”
“… …”
“In that timeline, we had already died. Our Fate and Destiny was already concluded. If we somehow appeared in that world, who knows what kind of accident will happen, disturbing the flow of time…” Allen solemnly said. “…who knows what kind of tragic change it will bring…”
“…yeah, you’re right…” Liu Muxiao cast her eyes down. And, her eyes suddenly turned moist. Drops of tears fell down from her vacant eyes.
“I’m sorry…” Allen suddenly remembered Kris Tian, and felt a searing pain in his heart! He extended his arm and pulled Liu Muxiao into his embrace. Obviously, she knows what she wanted to say or do…
But…
Liu Muxiao suddenly felt a sharp pain in her heart when she felt Allen hugging her strongly. She felt congested in her chest. She hastily turned her head to one side, and tears began to well up in her eyes…
Allen pitifully gazed at Liu Muxiao, and said tenderly, "I know, I know. These years haven't been easy on you." Liu Muxiao had been enduring this entire time.
The tears she had been holding back finally burst out like ‘an uncontrollable river from a broken dam’ as she recalled her little dearest, she spoke her name, calling her. Her entire body shivered like a withered leaf in the wind…
She carefully adjusted her body's angle, lightly trembling as she shifted her head towards Allen’s chest. Her eyes were slightly red and within her eyes, light sparkles could be seen forming like jewels. She grasped Allen’s clothes and started sniffing as she buried her head in his chest, and began to sob tears of silence. Her hug was so tight, and so hard… that it seemed as if she wanted a pillar to cling on.
Allen only let out a long sigh and his embraced got even tighter as if trying to say that he was here, he was here for her, forever. His sleeve followed soon after, draping like a blanket over her, as he exclaimed in mock anger, “…it’s fine… Wushuang is yours and mine. For all I know, she might have become someone so strong and brave—a young hero with a brilliant and outstanding bearing. And, I’m sure that she’s extremely beautiful, confident, and dashing. She would be a very promising young talent with grace and class. Boys go crazy about her when they see her...”
Allen chucked as he stroke Liu Muxiao’s back gently. His lips curling upwards, “Just like you, she would surely be a proud person under the heavens in that world. Beautiful, strong, courageous, and kind…just like her mother…there’s no need for you to worry about her!”
Allen’s voice was low and deep. It was hard to tell what kinds of emotions were raging in his heart.
Truthfully, this matter had also made him feel very constrained in his heart. In fact, he was infinitely bitter. If only he could tell her that her daughter had grown so strong, that she was here, just beside her. Though, that is if Liu Muxiao hasn’t really realized it.
Allen smiled wryly; it would be a mistake to think that someone like Liu Muxiao wouldn’t realize it. Allen was certain that she already had…but, since she seemed to have realized what Kris Tian wanted, she could only endure and cry like this. This passionate woman, Allen look at her face which was as bright as the moon. Her eyes restored their usual confidence and also contained strong love.
This little woman. She really made people couldn’t help but love her! Love her and also couldn’t extricate themselves!
“… If you still cry and worry about it, I’m going to spank your butt for being a crybaby!” There was no vulgar connotation to his words, merely the tone of a husband chiding his beloved wife, full of love and care. Liu Muxiao seemed to be intoxicated with such a feeling, pursing her lips and obediently letting out an 'en' sound before she delved into Allen’s bosom. She found a comfortable spot and quietened down. As to what she was thinking she was the only one who knows about it.
Gently supporting her body, Allen lowly sighed, as he looked out in the colorful ceiling as well as the clear and pristine lights shining down and illuminating the noisy party hall, as though purifying them...
A strange feeling started to form on his chest, a cool yet wet feeling. Liu Muxiao’s arms were tightly wrapped around his waist and her delicate figure was trembling non-stop as she sobbed silently. Her tears flowed without stopping, and before long there was a huge wet patch on Allen’s chest, and it was even showing signs of increasing...
Allen could only sigh to himself and tighten his embrace...
Allen knew that Liu Muxiao had to give vent to the guilt she had always kept in her heart, thus he patiently held onto her. Allen sat still for a long time, just as Liu Muxiao noiselessly sobbed for the whole night!
Many people had noticed them, especially Layla and the others, but they seemed to be sensible enough not to bother them and disturbed their time.
They only glanced at the inconspicuous corner where Allen and Liu Muxiao was staying, five to six meters range from them were devoid of people. Even the music seemed to become softer and gentle, like the flow full of sympathy and gentle caress, the waltz turned into lovers hugging and embracing each other as they softly moved with the music, sentiments, and love spreading the air, infecting many people.
“… hus, band…” Liu Muxiao started crying, recalling her dearest treasure…
A long passage of time elapsed. Allen heaved a long sigh, and said in a hoarse voice, “…be strong. I know that that is also what she wanted to tell you… her mother was a great Hero after all…”
“… …” Liu Muxiao lowered her head in sadness. She also felt infinitely bitter in her heart. But, she suppressed her feelings and smiled gently.
“Ah… she would have grown like you, brave, kind…” cold breeze rolled over, Liu Muxaio finally ended her crying spree and had vented all her sorrowful feelings. She raised her head as the wind tickled her nose, revealing her cheeks that were soaked in her tears.
Her two red and swollen eyes akin to ripe peaches, with traces of tears on her face.
At this time, she resembled a kitten with a dirty face.
