Special skills: None ]

A very definition of a Genius!

Well, should I say it was as expected? Allen grinned. Learned skills are skills you learned all this time and for Mia to learn many amazing skills in young age are credited to her being the princess of her ‘Family’.

In fact, Mia possesses more from the ‘Past’ but the status plate wouldn’t show a skill she didn’t use in this age. This is also similar to Allen who’s [ Learned Skills ] couldn’t even reach half of hers but In fact, also know numerous skills that aren’t listed on the plate.

The skill would only be recorded as long as they would start using it, as the saying goes ‘The brain might be able to do it but the body couldn’t’ only what the physical body remembered would be shown in the [ Status Plate ].

Mia didn’t insist on refusing after Allen but nodded at him with a smile. Mia said forthrightly, “… Well, it’s really difficult to find this thing so I will accept without hesitation.”

“Un” Allen nodded.

Mia took several chips from Allen’s and eats it. After, she took a sip of her cola and elegantly wiped her lips with a napkin.

Suddenly, her cell phone that she had left on the edge of the bench they were on started to vibrate.

Right before the vibrations sent it off the edge of the bench, Mia grabbed the phone.

“Hello.” She spoke while listening to the communication. “…I see. Okay, good work. We’ll be right there.”

“Hm?” Allen who was nonchalantly eating his chips turned his face to Mia and sent a questioning look.

“The preparations are done. We’re good to go.”

“I see…” Allen stood from the bench.

Walking towards the iron fence, Allen suddenly felt alerted and full of vigor. The heavy injuries he’d sustained a few days ago seemed to have all taken a turn for the better.

“The weather is great today...”

The former beautiful blue sky was now in a vivid crimson color. The clouds floating where dense and had clearly defined shapes. And the normal gentle breeze has a hint of blood on it.

Allen leaned against the handrail on the roof and blankly stared up at the sky. He could hear the sounds of gunshots and monsters roars off in the distance. It was a violent afternoon but for some reason, in this kind of noisy place, Allen found harmony within him, causing for him to begin losing his perception of time.

“Everything will be back to what it should be…” Allen silently muttered. Of course, what he meant was not the peaceful world but the violent and bloody world he spent several years in another time.

That is right, this is just the beginning!

Allen let out a faint smile. Expectations, thrill, excitement, passing emotions cross on his clear gem-like eyes. As for his attitude, it could be said ironic or that it was disrespectful at best. If someone heard him, they would certainly label him as a lunatic.

No one would feel good about this kind of crazy world.

But for someone who spent their life fighting against monsters, this was already their peace. Battlefield, blood, gore all of these are calling them, looking for them. This was already their life.

“…I wouldn’t be able to help you if you found yourself in a very dangerous place, you know. I need to go back to Italy.” Mia said as she stood next to Allen, and just like him she leaned onto the handrail and looked up into the sky.

“I know, and that is fine. This is my path; I can’t drag you down here. You have your own path, and similarly, I can’t insert myself in that place. But give me a favor; please take good care of my sister…”

“Of course, I will. She is already my sister-in-law~” Mia blushed slightly and narrowed her eyes. Looking at her cute expression, Allen almost hugs her on impulse.

“But be sure to keep in contact.”

“I will…”

“...”

“...”

The two wordlessly stood there as the wind blew. Since it was summer time, the wind felt cool and comfortable.

The fluttering golden hair fell into disorder and shone brilliantly from the reflected light. As the person contained their disordered hair, it looked like a scene from a movie, and Allen stared at the person until the wind slowly died down.

A defensive line was set up at a radius of tens of meters around the hospital.

Of course, it wasn’t surrounded by huge walls like the Great Wall of China. Countless huge armored cars with armed men had been set up on each side of the hospital and a great number of bullets would be fired on any monsters that were spotted.

“…As expected of the Bianchi ‘Family’, it almost looked like a whole company of trained army soldiers~”

“It’s too early to be impressed. This is only just a small portion of the power held by my family.” Mia replied back with a somewhat proud look.

“Well…”

Allen trailed off as the sound of engines became audible in the distance. They sounded deeper than a normal vehicle. They must have belonged to large trucks.

They could see a group of large vehicles traveling along the road. Allen wasn’t sure exactly what kind of trucks they were, but they were reinforced with heavy-looking metal at various points and they had a military feel to them.

“That sure is quite amazing…”

With the arrival of the huge trucks, the departure is getting near.

As soon as the armored trucks and buses arrived, the people immediately rushed to the vehicle.

The number of evacuees totaled nearly 60 people.

"No pushing and stay calm. Board the children and the elderly first!"

Some of the men in black started giving out instructions hurriedly. Hearing this, the people obeyed and formed several lines.

“Well, I guess I wish you a peaceful trip.”

“Un, thanks…”

“Allen, won’t you really go with us?” As Allen and Mia were talking with each other, Ms. Grace suddenly appeared behind them. Together with her were Aileen and several familiar women.

“Yeah, I’m staying.” As Allen said this, his gaze turned towards some direction.

“But Allen…this is dangerous.”

“I know, but there is something I must do.” Allen shook his head.

Allen’s tone was firm.

“T, Then, it doesn’t need you to stay alone right? Then I, I will also stay!” Ms. Grace said. Although her voice was soft, her eyes exude a very firm determination.

At this, Allen could only look at her dumbfounded. He then gave her a ‘What’s this idiot talking about?’ look.

Forget about protecting him, she couldn’t even protect herself. Well, of course, he would never say this.

“No thank you.” And so, Allen flatly, without a shred of hesitation, instantly refused!

“But Allen…”

“Ms. Grace, I know what you’re feeling but I understand Allen, you wouldn’t be able to help him. You would only drag him down.” The one who speaks those harsh words were none other than Aileen who was standing beside her.

It seemed like Ms. Grace suffered a very serious blow and could only hang her head down while clenching her fists. She seemed to realize how useless she would be if she stayed with him.

“That is why I will also stay here!” Aileen spoke resolutely to Allen.

“As if. You also need to go with them, I’m fine by myself.”

“What?!”

At this thoroughly unexpected response, of course, Aileen had a huge reaction.

Yet Allen’s reply was resolute.

“No way, I can fight with you! I promised I won’t be a baggage to you!” Aileen voiced out.

“Baggage or not isn’t important. Starting today, I will be wandering around, going to some dangerous places. Even I don’t know if I could leave unscathed. So bringing you is definitely a no-go.”

“But…”

“Allen, give it up.” At this moment, Mia who was keeping her silence suddenly said.

“I agree with Aileen going with you.”

“What? Mia.”

“I’m sorry but I won’t take no for an answer. It’s true that what you’re going to do is really dangerous, and because I couldn’t stay either, it would be a breather for me if you take one or two with you.”

“… …” Allen paused for a while. He then looked at her and saw that she was really serious and so, he could let out a sigh.

“Then, I will...”

“Ms. Grace, I’m sorry but you can’t stay.” Ms. Grace wanted to say something but before she could finish her words, Allen immediately cut her off.

“Why?!”

“Ms. Grace, you’re going to the evacuation site to look for your mother, right?”

“That’s…”

“Then the more so. You can leave now. I’ll go find you all later.” Allen said.

“… …”

But regardless of what was being said, from his own personal, emotional perspective, he was unwilling to accept her staying with him. He would never agree for her to stay with him when he was certain that he would surely experience many dangerous situations.

He would rather face a thousand monsters alone than let her be in danger!

That was his atonement that he decided for her.

“Fine… I understand, but you better come back alive, you hear me?”

“Don’t worry. I am not that weak, you should have faith~ I’ll show you that I could survive no matter what happens. They don’t call me ‘The Immortal’ for nothing…”

In order for her to not be worried, Allen started bragging. Even the title he hated the most was used.

“Huh?” Mia who was listening to the side suddenly felt amused. She knows how he never liked this title but still used it for bragging rights.

“Didn’t you say you hate this name? Why not use the ‘Killer Genius’? Or even the ones like ‘The unstoppable Beast?’ there are also more…”

“Stop!!” Allen covered Mia’s mouth in a hurry. These names could really cause some heartache. What kind of names are those? It’s like the names only people with some loose screws could come up with!!

“Well, from what I can see,” Seeing Allen taking some damage, Aileen couldn’t help but join the fun. “…it should be, ‘Lady Killer’ isn’t it?”

““… …”” Although she said that for fun, however, the moment she said those words, Allen and Mia’s eyes immediately widened!

“Y, you… where do you know that name?!” Allen asked. His voice trembling.

“…Don’t tell me, your memories…”

Aileen was bewildered by their sudden reactions. She just said what she thought but why would it elicit such response from them? “Well, I just thought of it… what?”

Unbeknownst to her, she really got it right. One of Allen’s former title, before he joined the [ Dawn Alliance ], was ‘The ice cold lady killer’.

In quest of vengeance, Allen at that time with his cold personality wandered around, killing monsters and at the same time, unintentionally saving a lot of people.

Because of this, his name resounded in the world without him noticing. And just like a certain double0 agent, no matter where he goes he will always, without a doubt creates affairs with several women.

Although in the end, he will leave them after the situation subsides. And thus, he was known as ‘The Ice Cold Lady Killer’

This name resounded even in the [ Dawn Alliance ] and was only gradually forgotten when he joined the group.

Since that time, his entire personality completely changed… and because he never liked that name, no one dared to call him that directly. But even so, that name still resounded even after several names came up.

… For Allen, that was one of his darkest of darkest history.

Noticing that Aileen seemed to call him that without any meaning, Allen and Mia could only exchange glances while bitterly smiling.
