Chapter 709: [Cerberus (2)]
“Then, so be it… talking mutt! Let’s see if you can really stop me…!”
Allen grinned and his demonic aura burst out like a volcanic eruption.
Horrifying demeanor like tidal waves gushed out of his body as he sharpened his killer instinct!
He was determined to slaughter the opponent here and now!
“It's ShowTime!”
BOOOoooooMMM!!
Allen’s figure disappears and suddenly, he appeared just before Cerberus, and with his clenched hand, he punched out.
The air seemed to have cracked from the impact and Cerberus felt a blasting force from below, and its large body was blasted in the air.
“Rooooaaaarrr?!!!”
Cerberus roared in anger and pain, all while trying to stabilize his balance—but, before he could do it, a black figure appeared just above him and, twirled in the air, swinging a roundhouse kick.
Baaam!!
Cerberus shot towards the ground, creating an explosion.
A cloud of dust and dirt rose up, however, giant claws swiped it all out and three blazing columns of fires shot towards the sky, where Allen was slowly descending. Allen’s lips curled up and on his back, a pair of blazing wings of flames suddenly sprouted and it then enveloped Allen’s body.
BOOooom!!
The Cerberus fire breath that can incinerate everything and anything in this world had hit Allen.
“Die, Dante!!”
The Cerberus roared in laughter, confident of his victory.
However,
“…too weak, mutt…!”
Swwwisssh!
Rebellion’s sword cut through the flame, revealing his unscathed figure, startling Cerberus.
“What?!”
Cerberus stared aghast at Allen’s figure—when he shot himself towards Cerberus without care.
“Dante! You still stubbornly fight even knowing that it is all futile!!? Are you that sore of a loser, that you cannot accept that this is already your defeat?! Are you trying to die in shame…?!” Cerberus roared in anger.
Three voices overlapped, raspy and hate-filled voices coming from three different heads of the Cerberus.
“Then, what do you want me to do…?”
Allen sneered as his figure disappeared from the air, and then under Cerberus dumbfounded expression, appeared under him, “Accept the fate forced upon me?!”
Claaang!
He parried the claws coming upon him with Rebellion and blowing it away with superhuman strength.
“Is that what you wanted me to do…, huh Cerberus?!”
*Bam!*
Being unable to resist the impact, the three-headed giant dog was sent flying into the air...
Wooosh. The Cerberus large body flipped, stabilizing its balance then suspended itself in the air. The three heads of the giant monster opened their jaws and once again shot fire breaths towards the ground, in Allen’s direction. But Allen just slashed through it easily and then his body disappeared.
The Cerberus claw swept on the right side.
Sparks flew with the violent clash of metals while a pair of wings continued to weave a quick pattern in the air.
The battle between Allen and the Cerberus continued in the air.
Allen, being the Lord of the Skies with his physique and powers but the enemy was one that possessed Divinity, an aspect that of a Killing God, tables them to perform their roles. And the monster Cerberus is not an exception. Cerberus, the Watchdog of Hell, and considered the Guardian.
In this world, Cerberus is like the Monster King of Blood Desert Oasis, Hanjin, in his domain… possessing nigh unlimited power.
“Stubbornly resisting death… even knowing that death is only an eventuality…is a fool’s errand, Dante! Why can’t you understand that?! Why are you trying to become a fool that you are not! A wise man knows when to stop and when it would end!” Cerberus snickered in contempt.
“… …” hearing the Cerberus words, Allen’s lips curled upwards, and then, in the entire chaotic battlefield, a burst of demeaning laughter echoed.
“A Wise man…?”
Allen muttered as he continued his laughter, spreading his arms wide, he glared at the Cerberus suspended in the air, with a calm demeanor—
“…I’m never a wise man, Cerberus! Solomon has long passed on… along with the Wise man you know of!! The one before you is nothing but a fool trying to go against the current of the world! The one who was desperately trying to stop a woman's tears and tried to cheer her on even with his insufficient ability-- just a mere godforsaken fool!”
He cried loudly.
“…?!”
“…Even if fate stands against me, I, Allen Bando!! Neither Human nor Monster, not a God or a Demon—even if my path leads to death, I will still persist on this road I had taken! Even if suffering is what awaits me in my destination, so what—?!…”
Then, all of a sudden, his figure disappeared in his position.

BOooooOOm!!
Lightning flashed and Allen reappeared just beside the Cerberus, his sword slashing downward.
“Dying is the day worth living for!!”
BAaannng!!
Rebellion slashed on the Cerberus, blasting it on the ground along with a long roar of agony.
"Haven't you heard of that before, Cerberus?!"
His voice resounded in the entire battlefield, no, it seems as if it echoed in the entire world as the sky rumbled in a thunderous cry, displaying its wrath!
The entire Battlefield turned silent…
Allen’s voice echoed in the area, like a broken record.
Suddenly the rain starts.
Thunder and lightning shatter the unearthly silence.
“…I will strive to live…until I die! That is what it means to be a human!”
His demeaning aura surged forth like a tsunami, overwhelming the entire area. His destructive spiritual energy filled the air and swept the ground!
Frightening demeanor continued to flood the place.
The wind blew, and the ground shook!
This was one of the reasons why he was named the {Demon King} in the previous world!
Normally elegant and beautiful, yet during battles, he behaves like an angry dragon!
“Stupidity!!!”
The Cerberus roared, its left head bleeding from its head and a large gush was on its body.
“You have gone stupid, Dante!! Living as a human had made you into an utter fool!!”
“Hmph! It might be,”
His face turns towards the furious giant Cerberus is somber, almost like unto a skull in its deathly stillness. Then, all of a sudden it animates into a ferocious grin…
Or a savage scowl, eyes a-glint with mad energy and maniacal insanity…
“But… being a fool is always the most wonderful thing in the world—Cerberus. Because we live in our own world, by our dreams and…with no strings attached to our every limb!!”
“…what?!”
The Cerberus exclaimed in shock by Allen's sudden words.
“What about you, Cerberus?”
Allen’s voice rises above the storm, deep and grating and rich.
“It’s been, how many centuries since you’ve served the Imperial Court… Cerberus? Have you been satisfied all this time?”
“…?!”
Looking at the three solemn expressions of his enemy, Cian snickered; “If yes, then, you are nothing but a lap dog—a pitiful mutt!”
“How dare you!!”
“Yes, dare me!”
Allen chortled with grim mischief.
“…your life defines as a lap dog, a mutt for someone else bidding! Without any freedom! What’s so good about that? For me…”
--A life lived fully, and death worth telling around the world, wherever men will meet, whatever races they came from, now and till forever.
“…Freedom, and a satisfying death with purpose—Can anyone ask for more?”
“Dante! You are courting death!!”
Cerberus three heads rose in the air and roared.
“Awooooooooooo!!!!!”
With the release of the compressed power, it reverberated with an impact that even made waves to become visible in the atmosphere.
From the beginning, the three-headed dog possessed power on par with an average divine spirit. And in addition to that, he was within his home ground, his divine aspect; The Watchdog of Hell and Allen was the intruder—his power was greatly enhanced and almost limitless, in this domain-like Hell world of his.
Allen frowned as he danced in the air while being hit by the walls of compressed air that assaulted him from every direction.
“Creak! Crack!”
Letting out an obviously abnormal creaking sound, the three heads of the Cerberus turned towards Allen, with a hateful glare.
Staring at the still Cerberus after landing, Allen clenched his fist.
“In the end, you’re just a talking mutt? You don’t understand true freedom. Even dogs in a dog show would be much better and cuter than you, Cerberus~”
Towards Cerberus who breathes haggardly, Allen’s body shot towards it, the ground beneath him shattered from the sonic impact he had made and then swung his fist. The three heads of Cerberus simply crumbled from the impact that could shatter mountains and splits the seas. However, although there was feeling, Allen thought that wasn’t a fatal hit.
The Cerberus immediately stood up and stared at Allen as he screamed.
“Dante, you’ve really made me mad! Do you think you can just waltz in and say what you like in front of me?!”
BOOooooOOm!!
The ground shattered and a large crater appeared.
A shockwave that blasted everything away, even including those demons and fallen angels nearby them were sent crashing away like rubbles and garbages.
The ground beneath cracked and magma and lava started spurting out, creating rivers and lake of boiling lava.
The angry outburst of the Cerberus caused an earthquake that was intensifying and the sound of the eruption from the active volcano finally reached the ears of the people on the surface, including Allen.
Allen looked straight at the Cerberus. He felt a pushing force on his body; cuts started appearing as if the wind striking him has an invisible blade hiding within. His blood spurted from his cuts but his face remained impassive—the wounds and cuts slowly covering up and healing.
The earthquakes had brought all battles within the City to a standstill.
The Demons were toppling over in their clusters while the Fallen Angels had also collapsed as their bodies couldn’t handle the strain of the extended periods of flight, with the gravity started increasing with the Cerberus anger. Even those who were far away from the volcano were able to see its re-activity and the soldiers and warriors had also started to redraw.
However, the real reason for their fear wasn’t because of the magma that spewed from the volcano underground but because of the giant monster that had lost its calm and was starting its mindless wrath.
Allen leans his figure forward and rushed towards the Cerberus, with his left hand holding the Ebony, his right hand held the Rebellion.
Bang! Bang! Bang! he shot the gun, all bullets possess destructive power that can put a piercing bullet to shame, and yet, it was like a rock hitting a metal plate.
The Cerberus skin is among the strongest defensive hide in the world due to always submerging itself in the magma of hell.
" !? "
Allen’s senses screamed.
The Cerberus massive body disappeared before him and then appeared behind his rushing body—
So fast? His brows furrowed as he ducks.
Wooosh.
Sharp claws passed by where his head had been a few millimeters away.
It was a miracle that Allen was able to avoid that even though he was caught off-guard by the Cerberus sudden increased in speed, or maybe it was just his character that was usually accumulated. The pitch-black ferocious nails contained an immense destructive power to kill or rip even a God to pieces, just like the Frost Wolf; Fenrir; the God Killer Wolf, that Allen could even feel it with the naked eye.
The remainder of the nails instantly blew away the wreckage of the city, cutting into the ground. Even those that were far away, was cut into blocks with a smooth surface. The wind pressure brought by the monster's claws were extremely terrifying!
After being cut, the cracked earth lamented, creating a cliff that can give anyone an illusion that it would lead to the deepest abyss. Lava poured out of the peak and filled the cracks. It was even suitable to call the currently boiling surface the kiln of hell.
Allen used the backlash to gain some distance, all while, his left leg kicked the empty air, a sharp sword materializes. He then kicked the hilt of the sword that had appeared towards the chasing Cerberus—concentrating his power at a single point, Allen aimed the sword’s tip at one of the few weak points of the watchdog of hell, which in its eyes.
The sword kicked not only move at a speed beyond a flying sword, but it is also accurate and precise.
Before the kicked blade reaches Cerberus, it noticed the red figure of the kicked sword—because of that, it turns its head on reflex. The distance is too close to avoid, the sword Allen kicked accurately caught up with the eyeball on the Cerberus turned left head.
The sword looks as if it was drawn in, stabbing at the eyeball and colliding with the eyelid.
This is a pure coincidence.
The eyelid that should be protecting the Cerberus eyes has a small slit. If the Cerberus didn't move and took the hit, this blow will probably be deflected by the eyelid covering it. But because it turned its head, the sword coincidentally pierces in from the gap. The sword screeches and sparks flew because of the friction as it penetrates the pupil of the giant beast.
Allen thought his concentrated fatal attack will reach till the hilt, but it snapped in two loudly and shatters—though, it successfully stop the Cerberus on its tracks.
And although the surprise attack took out that eye, it didn't reach into the skull.
The sword can't withstand the impact of their collision and fractures.
“DANTE!!!!!!”
The Cerberus let out an angry howl that was never heard before.
“CURSED YOU DANTE!!!”
Blood sprays out profusely from its left eye socket of the left head of the Cerberus, something it has never experienced permeates its body.
He was angered by Allen for wounding, not only his pride but also his prided body.
The defense of the Cerberus is the top class among demon beasts and doesn't suffer injuries even when attacked.
The pain of its eyes being pierced and losing a bit of its field of vision is a setback it has seldom experienced. Though with its remaining five eyes, it should matter not, still the pain racking on its body was enough to create a mess in the beast’s mind.
