Chapter 758: [Most Chaotic Family Tree]
“…And the rest is silence.”
Allen frowned as he cut him off.
Then he glared at Lilith.
“What's the matter? Why the glare?”
Lilith asked smilingly, appearing innocent and harmless.
“Eliza, answer me honestly. You killed me because of that?!”
Allen asked, slightly dumbfounded. 'Eliza' that was Lilith's name in the previous incarnation. And because of his complicated feelings, he accidentally used that name in panic.
“I told you, Alexa and Jane… there’s nothing between us!”
“Oh really—nothing? Then, what about that damn Fanny?! Damn bitch came into our house, knocked politely, talked impolitely, and cussed rudely…claiming the child she’s having is yours!” Lilith rolled her eyes, annoyed.
“At that time, you have taken an oath to never love another woman again! And you broke your goddamn oath!!”
“Oh please, you can’t actually believe her?!”
Allen cried out, annoyed.
“And you expect I wouldn’t?!”
“Cut that out you two!”
Seeing the increasingly intense anger boiling between Allen and Lilith, that even electric sparks appeared flying between them; Lifilia hurriedly intervened and stop them from being physical. Because she knows that, if a physical fight happens her father would certainly be the one being beaten up. And in front of their supposed to be enemies, that is a huge trouble.
Not because Lilith is stronger but because Allen would not use any kind of force against Lilith, her mother. Sadly, Lilith is the type to never hold back…especially beating up her, slightly, extremely, utterly, womanizing father…
“This is not the place for a lover’s quarrel!” she cried out in anxiety.
“… it's fine, I don’t mind…”
But the one who answered her was unexpectedly Lucifer who was watching with curious but interested eyes on the couple.
“It’s a proper etiquette of a true gentleman to give a family the reunion they deserve. At least, a good one before death…I’m not that lacking in manners. Though I must admit… seeing my former wife quarreling like lovebirds with her new man, the reincarnation of my brother so to speak… is quite strange, I admit…” Lucifer smiled bitterly.
“That’s already too late, Lucifer. This family of ours, is goddamn the strangest, quirky, confusing and I must add, very chaotic compared to other families out there in the world…!” Vergil chortled.
“Your son, which is not really your son, your brother which is really not your brother, brother marrying sister, uncle marrying niece…well, whatever it is they call it, lacking any family planning with a family tree that is more confusing than a spider’s web,” then he shot Lucifer an eye glare, “And we know clearly who is the true culprit of this bewilderment in the first place…”
“I can vouch for that,”
Allen shrugs.
“Silence… you’re saying it’s my fault…” Lucifer scowled.
““We are,””
Allen and Vergil simultaneously replied.
“You two are truly cast out from the same mold.”
Lucifer rolled his eyes.
“Both of you are annoying… even still, Lilith. You have chosen Dante instead of me…I can’t say I wasn’t surprised by that. Being sealed for a millennium, truly things would never be the same after waking up,”
“Hmph, Lucifer… you’re saying as if you and I truly have something in the first place.”
Lilith laughed mockingly.
“For you, I, Lilith was just a trophy, a present from our Father. A tool to vent your overflowing ego and superiority…”
"Ouch," Vergil made a painful face.
"Touche," Allen, on the other hand, rolled his eyes. Now he was the one feeling awkward.
“Well, all of this occurred because you don’t want to stay under me—you and I are the same, Lilith… and that would never change!” Lucifer grinned.
“You seek power, you seek status… you seek to be the best out of everything!”
“That is why, it would never have worked out between us, darling. I'm sorry.” Lilith muttered honestly.
“Right now, I’m satisfied with what I got…” she turned at Allen who just shrugged his shoulders and saying, ‘yeah right,’ “…at least, he’s not equally demanding on who’s on top and who’s under.”
Lilith grinned mischievously.
“…why do I get the feeling that you talking about something really weird right now? And it annoyed the hell out of me for some strange reason.” Allen frowned. “Better, can we knock this topic off and turned to something…more important than a freaky love story…? Something like the fight to determine the world's fate… something along with those movie scripts~”
“I agree… this family reunion is freakishly weird. I don’t know where I can put the word ‘strange’, though…” Vergil nodded his head as his hand grasped the hilt of his sword.

“Since you say that, then we can start where we left off… I believe there would be no interference again this time…right?” Lucifer said indifferently.
When he did, all the four devils who were knocked down by Lilith a while ago appeared behind Lucifer as if nothing had happened.
Seeing their indifferent expressions, Allen couldn’t help but frown. After all, when Lilith attacked them just now, she never held back and was with the intention of killing them instantly.
The power she had right now was incomparable to the one she had when Allen first met her in the Mortal World. Her power this time had returned to her completely. Being hit by that, even a Malebranche would have been blown apart. And yet… these four didn’t even frown.
Although there were clear injuries on their bodies, they were healing in a miraculous state—just a bit inferior of Bataliel’s unique ability [Flawless Restoration] which was already a Godly Cheat!
“It seems like you did something on them Lucifer…they look like scary terminators now,”
“Isn’t it beautiful?”
Lucifer replied Allen with a radiant smile.
“Yeah, but their emotions are gone,”
Lilith added with a contemptuous expression.
“At this moment, they are more like dolls rather than living beings.”
“Hahaha, this is the true beauty, my dear. Though, I can’t blame you for not appreciating true art—” Lucifer shrugged as if he found Allen and the other naïve children who couldn’t appreciate true arts.
“Only a being with no emotion, no sympathy, no thoughts, no impurities whatsoever can be called… Perfection! A True Magnificent Art!”
“Such exaggeration. You don’t need to beautify it, even using a lot of long words in there. Why don’t just call it puppets? A doll that cannot rebel against you, isn’t it like that?” Vergil sneered. “…though, hardly an acceptable fate, if you ask me…”
“A moron who knows not of Art, you can keep your mouth shut—that would be gratifying!” Lucifer sneered.
“Who says I don’t know Art?”
Vergil glared back.
“Killing is Art! Fighting is Art! War is the most wonderful piece of art that ever existed in mankind—much as Absolute Power is!”
“That’s hardly a definition of art…”
“Fighting emotionless dolls, quite boring for an Art~”
Vergil added with a grin of disdain.
“You sound like a psychopath friend of mine…disgusting!”
“Ares, I presume,”
Allen chuckled in amusement from their banter, feeling a similar familiarity with Lucifer.
“Indeed, that lunatic warmonger,” Lucifer snickered. “I feel his presence in the surface; it seems that he was doing quite well…more than I expected,”
“Yeah, he was about to turn into a Demon King kind of existence a while back—scared out of me for a moment there. I don’t want to fight a monster like him with you and Vergil in my back. Fortunately, his insanity is still incurable…” Allen heaves a sigh.
“But such resistance is futile… it’s a sooner or later matter, the fate of mankind is but a foregone conclusion.”
“Nothing is engraved in stone, Lucifer. The future has so many variables that are already a messy wreck of chaos—it’s unpredictable. Who knows this futile resistance, you talk about mockingly, is actually dawn of hope…” Allen retorted with a challenging smile.
“I agree,” Lilith giggled in amusement.
“Heaven dictates People, but People were the one making history…Father always says that to us, or have you forgotten, my dear Lucifer? Fate is indeed the path of every living thing. However, it is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual road.”
“An argument befitting of a loser,” Lucifer smirks. “However, it would matter not much. Even beasts know when to give up.”
“But that's where you are wrong, Lucifer. For we are not beasts…” Allen grinned confidently.
“We are even worse than beasts…!”
“Do you really think you're right? How pathetic.” Lucifer laughed in contempt. “However, it is precisely this arrogance that brought you to this. Though, it’s not something I could praise you for it. It is your destiny. I failed to understand, why do you all struggle? No matter how much you resist, you cannot defy fate.”
“It’s the word ‘cannot’ that really annoys me,”
"...??"
“Who do you think you are, Lucifer to say what I can and cannot do? This fate that is selfishly forced on me, I will break it into a million pieces… just you watch!”
“With just you…oh, my wrong, with just your little family right there…?”
Lucifer smirks.
“Fret not, you will also be terminated in due time. The new world doesn't need you. Nor all of you, defects. And I, becoming the King of the World, is something you cannot stop or block, as it is inevitable the moment I arise. I will ascend into heaven, and I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. No matter what you do, I will sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north and ascend above the heights of the clouds—I will be like the 'Most High'"
“Only if I will die, Lucifer…”
Allen snorted.
“That time will be the moment you will get what you want. But before then, that will stay as a dream- a faraway dream.”
“You won’t die…or at least, not without my permission. You still have some use for me…Dante. That is your very own fate. Fighting it is foolishness I wouldn’t encourage. Give it up~” Lucifer smiled. Then, his eyes turned crescent, “More like, you are my brother’s reincarnation and can also be said to be a part of me, as a part of my soul is within you as well. Why turn your sword against me, your only true kin…aside from this idiot over here."
"...excuse me?"
"Dante, really, don't be a fool. When you two merged, you will then become one existence… in the end, you will be left with me alone. Our fathers, mothers, brothers, and sisters are long gone… and the Celestial Realm is the one who had cast them into the deep abyss—why are you not angry at them? Why are you mad at me instead? That is something I cannot comprehend. Even if your mind has forgotten, your heart shouldn’t. After all, you are still Epimetheus, my foolish little brother, deep in your core… why are you fighting against me?”
“… …”
“I don’t want to fight, brother. Come to this side. Just like always. You and Me. For us to gain the upper hand in the upcoming chaos, to be able to stand above all—we need to combine our strength…wouldn’t that be a touching story? Brothers hand in hand, attaining glory and power together…?” Lucifer smiled radiantly as if he was an angel that came to earth with salvation.
Quite ironic…
Looking at Lucifer’s gentle expression, Allen shook his head and smiled wryly; “I’ll be disappointed if that’s all you’re going to say.”
“That’s not the answer I’m expecting. However, I’ll give you another chance. Think about it clearly, brother. Come with me. All dimensions are awaiting a change. Chaos will become the law! This is already inevitable! You cannot stop it anymore.”
“I’ll take my chances.”
“You’re incurable!”
Lucifer frowned at Allen’s stubbornness.
“Give it up, Lucifer. Once that idiot made up his mind, he would become immovable. You’re just wasting your energy,” Vergil chuckled in enjoyment.
“You try talking to him. He doesn’t listen to me.”
Lucifer sighs helplessly.
“Dante doesn’t listen to anyone,” Vergil muttered with a wry smile.
“I do believe that it’s a wonderful trait I possess,” Allen smiled smugly.
“Not only you, though. It completely runs in the family, brother…” Vergil laughed. “Almost all of us are hard-headed and stubborn, especially towards weird things,”
“Don’t call it weird things. I’m only stubborn towards people who need a great bashing…like the two of you,” Allen snickered.
“We’ll make great friends,” replied Vergil with a mischievous grin.
“Enough of this sophistry,”
Lucifer grits his teeth in anger, now completely losing his patience.
“If you don’t want to accept Dante, although I don’t want to resort to this—it seems like a force is truly necessary!”
“Then, negotiation-breakdown? That’s quite exciting~”
Allen’s eyes narrowed.
“Your resistance is in vain!”
Lucifer glared at Allen and then the four devils behind him once again shot towards the latter’s direction.
