Chapter 150: [ Night Reaper ]

Chapter 150: [ Night Reaper ]

Allen once again continued as if nothing had happened. This place other than grinding skills and acquiring items, it’s also good for acquiring strong undead servants!

Allen realized that the deeper he goes the stronger the monsters become.

Ghouls, Elite Ghouls, and there were also Ghouls that can transform into other monsters and beasts and lastly Elemental Ghouls…

However, the strongest Level was just till Lv6 and most of them are Elemental Ghouls. Ghouls that has the power to control their respective elements.

Earth Ghoul.

Water Ghoul.

Wind Ghoul.

And the most troublesome; the Flame Ghouls.

Although they were still weak in front of the blue flames, unlike the other Elemental Ghouls, Fire Ghouls can still attack even though it was burning with blue flames.

Allen acquired several Elemental Ghouls as his Undead Servants.

Although monsters inside a Dungeon can’t exist, however, that would be a different case if they were captured and turned into a slave by someone, turning their nature into something different. Allen had heard about Necromancers do that in the previous life.

Whenever there were Undead Dungeons ( Dungeons filled with Undead Monsters ) discovered, Necromancers would immediately scurry to enter it. After all, it was the best chance to get servants without exerting any effort.

But, that is extremely dangerous; after all, there was the existence of the Church that would never allow the existence called Necromancer or other Fiend type Superhumans…

The Church would always monopolize Undead Dungeons using the name of the God and their holy power is the bane of dark powers…

They would periodically clean all undead monsters inside the Dungeon in every reset.

Not just that, Allen had also gotten, 32 Soul Stones, a bit better looking ancient double-aged sword which is the best amongst the other swords he had acquired from the monsters he had defeated, as for the others he throws them away.

There were some other weapons too but he wasn’t interested so he did the same. Since they looked dull and old and were only good to be melted and turned into new weapons. But he was no blacksmith and besides he can just create weapons from nothing…

He’s never been short of weapons… ( Although he indeed doesn't have weapons in hand… )

What Allen was interested were the skill book and treasure chest.

Along the way, he had acquired two skill books;

[ Night Vision ] - The power to see clearly in darkness.

[ Claw Transformation ] - The power to change the hands into sharp claws.

Allen has no use for these abilities so he stored it for now and think of giving it to Mia and the others.

Aside from the skills, the Treasure Chests!

He had found three Treasure Chests.

Inside were items he found a bit disappointed. It was still magical items but for the current him, it was no of use.

Flame Dagger, 2 Berserk Potions, Nasty Ghoul teeth and eyeballs ( Can be used in Dark Alchemy ) say what?

8 gold coins, and 6 silver coins.

Aside from the Nasty Ghoul teeth and eyeballs which he had thrown away, he keeps the others. He wasn’t an Alchemist and he doubts Agathi knows their use…

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

One last important thing the Dungeon gave him was the opportunity to grind his and his skills level. This was the most important purpose of Dungeons!

Right now, his mastery in blue flames had now reached the point where his entire arm was covered in flames and his [ Explosion ] was now far more powerful than before. He even guesses that he could now blow an entire building without a problem.

Allen continued his leisurely stroll inside the Ghoul Dungeon. He keeps on going without any hardship whatsoever.

As time passes by, Allen noticed the number of ancient looking corpses and skeletons were increasing.

Some were even still wearing armors and weapons on their sides.

Allen tried checking the items left by them, however, he was disappointed. Other than, expensive looking ornaments such as gold and silver necklaces, trinkets, rings, earrings, bracelets, and bangles that might seem to fetch a higher price if sold, the armors and weapons are already so old that they were filled with rusts and dirt.

Allen picks those better-looking things and stored while ignoring the others.

The number of the Ghouls that had attacked him has now started declining. Probably, because he hunted too much.

Allen finally reached a place that looked like an ancient battlefield.

Many corpses and skeletons scattered in the area. There were even some skeletons with weapons such as swords and spears piercing through them.

It looked like a huge war had happened here…

A place where many stories gathered together, legends that needed to be told.

Allen surveyed the entire place and couldn’t help but think of a poem inside his mind.

The wind blows and the water gets cold,

Bodies trembling but no one to hold.

Fighting wars while missing home,

We shed our blood, our names engrave in stone.

But we are men and real men are warriors,

And warriors leave home but never return.

The ancient battlefield was filled with a chill atmosphere, the warriors that fought bravely here in the past have died, but their souls might still be here wandering.

This should be called the ‘Warriors Graveyard’

Allen closed his eyes and imagined the scenes of the war that year, picturing rivers of blood running in the whole place.

Allen suddenly reminisced about the wars he participated in his previous life. Some of the bodies of his brothers and sisters were still there, left in the open. He suddenly felt sad.

Many people have sacrificed their lives for them but in the end, they still lost…

He has no face left to face them…

At this moment,

Gyiiiiiiiiiiihhhhh!!!

An ear piercing cry rang out inside the whole place.

It was like the Ghouls but somehow a bit different. However, what confuses Allen was that he suddenly felt a sense of deja-vu.

“This feeling…” Allen muttered.

“Something’s coming?”

The dark power he felt was getting stronger.

It’s not just one… Allen realized when he saw dozens of Elite Ghouls surrounding him- Though the one who caught his attention was one Ghoul, double the size of a normal Ghoul was standing in the back.

Its claws were so long it almost reach a meter and the tongue hanging on its mouth was already touching the ground.

It has no eyes, there are even no eye sockets and his nose was so flat it’s almost non-existent.

Instead of teeth, his mouth was filled with canine-like sharp fangs. His body was so thin it almost looked like bones.

Aside from the normal and Elite Ghouls, there were also undead beasts with gleaming red eyes.

Cracked.  Bones that were stepped on broke and made a cracking sound.

Clang! Bang! Clang!

Suddenly, behind him, sounds of fighting could be heard.

Is that bald guy still following me? I thought he had already given up mid-way?

Allen frowned.

Graaaaaaahhh!

The huge Ghoul let out an ear-piercing howl and the other Ghouls and undead started rushing towards Allen.

Ding! [ The Lv8 Ghoul King had appeared! ]

Ghoul King?

So that’s the Ghoul King. It was quite familiar…

Allen heard someone shouting behind him but he ignored it, based from the war cry like shout, it doesn’t seem like he needed help~

“Party time,” With a nonchalant attitude as if he was going to a party, Allen plunges into the rank of his enemies without minding the malevolent aura enveloping the entire place.

This aura would have weakened other Superhumans and give them negative statuses but Allen possesses the power of Osiris, the God of Underworld and this aura didn’t weaken him, in fact, it somehow gave him strength instead.

“You all have some appointment in the Duat, fellas,” Allen muttered while beheading them easily with a sword and burning them with blue flames.

Using [ Pierce ] and [ Iron Strike ], the sword cuts the monster's neck like a hot knife through butter.

Although he was proficient in some martial arts, he had never learned how to use weapons like sword fighting. After all, he wasn’t a purebred martial artist or cultivator.

Besides, it was unnecessary!

With [ Equip ] skill, the moment he holds a weapon, he can use it immediately as if he was holding it for a very long time!

So his skills in sword wouldn’t lose to any swordsmen.

However, there are some monsters with hardened skin, in that case, Allen burned them with Blue flames, almost covering the whole area, making Allen looked like a war god of flames.

Rock spikes pierced many incoming Ghouls and undead monsters.

And explosions one after another rang out as if someone was mindlessly throwing grenades.

Allen didn’t use other powerful abilities such as his Lightning and Water, after all, Blue Flames was already enough to easily kill these monsters. This was also a good chance to grind his skills.

Finally, Allen reaches the Ghoul King.

“Finally, It is your tur--!?” After killing all the undead, Allen finally reached the Ghoul King.

However, at this moment, Allen couldn’t help but gasp in surprise as he gets closer to it.

His eyes widened in shock.

Night… Reaper…?
