No, as the Queen of the Elves, as the Guardian of the World Tree, she can never do that…
She raised her hand and a blue colored vial materializes in her hand.
Falis looks at it before she throws it towards Allen, “Take this, a drop of the World Tree’s blood can purify anything. Drink it and cleanse whatever darkness that might consume you – though it will only work to some extent… I hope it will help you a lot.”
Allen looks at the vial and a gentle warmth was transferred from the vial to his hand. The World Tree’s Blood or should it be said, it’s essence. It was an extremely rare thing…
No matter how you look at it, you would never find it. It was rarer than Unicorn horns and Phoenix feathers.
“Thanks, it will certainly help…”
The two shared sad smiles. It was the same expression they had shown when they first met.
– It’s possible that they had suspected this would happen from the very start.
Falis stared at Allen one last time before she turned around and started walking away. Her face showed unusual emotions – complicated and a bit conflicted.
“I don’t want to fight you, Allen… no matter how much I hated you, I don’t want to stand at the opposite side from you… so make sure not to be devoured whatever darkness it was, that’s my only wish…”
She muttered, like whisper carried by the wind, it was extremely gentle and for some reason… affectionate.
Allen understands her, but he could only nod and said, “I will, and I had loved you … really,”
Falis stopped but only for a moment as she continued on her way. A glistening gem was swept away by the breeze, dripping to the flower under her, causing it to magically bloom.
Allen and Falis – two people who wanted each other but like parallel lines, they can’t meet and be together, both treading different paths that would never intersect.
… …
… …
Allen had drunk the World Tree’s Blood and felt liberated.
Emotions light, feelings free…
As if a burden had disappeared, Allen felt extremely comfortable.
He never felt as good as he was now… as if free from the world’s gravity, he felt he could fly at any moment.
– Still, Allen felt the Darkness within him had never completely disappeared. He just felt it had weakened, temporarily restrained by some unknown force but never expelled nor vanished.
Even the other ‘Allen’ that was always struggling and wanted to come out was silenced and the pain caused by the darkness enveloping him, lightened.
The World Tree’s blood was not a cure for him – no, Allen doubted if there was a cure existed for his condition…
An illness that he had never understood.
Whether this was a fortune or a misfortune, Allen doesn’t have a way of knowing. He doesn’t know how to deal with ‘him’, absorbing him was also not a good option…
After a long time, the constantly bubbling within him subsided and calmed down – this is good, for now…
At least the other ‘Allen’ inside of him managed to calm down and relax for a moment. He knows what ‘he’ felt, as if falling in a black colored sea, alone, in that dark world. He had also experienced it; however, he knew that what ‘Allen’ was experiencing right now was worse compared to his.
Because, he was devoured by uttered madness making him no mind of his own – a very pitiful child he had become. Allen sighed.
Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.
… …
… …
Allen stood in front of a finely decorated wooden door, hesitating whether he should open and enter it or not. Right now, he can still hear the screaming and shouting as if Tom and Jerry were having their usual fits inside the room.
He looked back and saw Mireya and Dakna who had stuck to him wherever he goes, as if leaving Allen even just a moment would make him disappear, never to be seen again.
“What is it, husband?” Mireya asked curiously as she noticed Allen’s hesitation.
“Can’t you hear the ongoing world war inside the room? I felt like, the moment I enter, I would be bombarded by missiles and nuclear weapons.” Allen replied with a wry smile.
“Well, should we leave?” Mireya suggested.
Allen was going to agree but the moment he turned around, the door was swung open, revealing a distressed Lieri with a haggard expression.
“Hi,” Allen greeted.
“Hello, young master…” Lieri smiled bitterly.
Suddenly, Dakna moved in front of Allen and caught the icicles and flying daggers that was flying towards Allen and Lieri with her bare hands.
“Humans are so violent…” Dakna complained with an annoyed face. She turned at Allen, and asked with a voice full of concern, “Master, are you okay?”
"It's perfect," Allen announced. Then he winked at her. Dakna blushed and smiled sweetly while stepping aside. Poor girl, couldn’t escape the temptation of the devil.
Probably only Eve would understand what she was feeling at this moment…
Originally, Dakna was an extremely serious woman that shows extreme love to those she cared for, in that sense to her sister. After all, she was her only family remaining and she treasures her – though Draia was extremely stubborn and hard-headed woman.
She was certainly an unreasonable and selfish, muscle-head idiot…
But when she met Allen – a monster king, possessing incredible powers one cannot imagine, she was attracted to him. As what Salamandra had once said before to Ava, Dragons revere powerhouses. And the more powerful someone was, the more they were attracted to it –
That was what Dragons are.
And this only strengthened her affection.
Allen who had beaten her fair and square, a very attracted man, and a similar Dragon to boot – Dakna couldn’t help but fell in the rivers of Love, swimming across sweet roses – like a maiden in love.
Allen drew a deep breath and enters the room.
There he was a greeted by a sight of two tigresses having an intense face-off – no, it was Mia and Celty who was in her Mystique form – having blue lizard skin.
They were facing each other, clothes slightly torn and somewhat crumpled.
The interior of the room was as if a tornado had danced inside of it; with the papers scattered on the floor, furniture’s such as the table and couch has their legs broken and insides spilling out as if they were cruelly murdered.
In the walls and the floor were blade slashes that look like Freddy Krueger or Wolverine passed by and decided to sharpen their blades on them, could be seen.
“You traitorous b*tch! I would have killed you right here, right now if I could!!” Mia screamed in fury.
“Why don’t you do it, crazy witch? Do you think I feared you!? I will make shave ice out of you!!” Celty roared in return.
Listening to them screaming at each other while looking like the infamous Predator and Alien in the movie, Allen couldn’t help but sighed and massaged his temple.
“My Lieri, could you tell me who tripped the fuse in each of them?”
Lieri sighed.
From Lieri’s explanation, it seems like, a few days ago, Mia ordered Lieri and Celty together with some Superhumans to investigate something not far away from Italica – an Ancient Ruins within one of the forests that were accidentally discovered by one of the Members of the Epsilon branch of [ Athenian ].
Since Mia didn’t remember something like that existing in the previous life, she made the investigation of the Ancient Ruins a top priority with utmost secrecy.
But when they entered deep in the ruins, they were suddenly attacked by extremely powerful monsters – Basilisk and Cockatrice. Most men died… Lieri as well, if not for Celty who managed to rescue her in time, dragging her out of the Ruins.
However, the moment they arrived, Celty in her Diana form bolted towards Mia, enraged from the almost death experience.
She blamed Mia for not having information enough and still sending them inside without a care, almost costing their lives.
Of course, Mia was shocked when she heard about it and started drawing out new plans. They managed to calm down, despite their personal issues and tried thinking of new plans to conquer it. However, during the discussion, they were some things they couldn’t agree to and … who knows when it turns personal…
- It turns out that as they were arguing, Mia had a slipped of the tongue and called out Celty’s name.
Shock, Celty asked if Allen told her but Mia said, ‘No’ she saw Celty herself, transforming into her Mystique form while showing the video. She doesn’t want to sully Allen’s name since he had promised her that he wouldn’t say anything about her to other people.
Enraged, Celty asked why she has a camera inside Allen’s room and whether if Allen knew it. But Mia answered he didn’t.
Mia even proudly stated that it was natural since she wanted to see Allen every time, every moment, so of course, she would set cameras every corner just to see him. She had an extremely proud face while saying that.
Gross out, Celty asked with a disgusted expression whether she record it all the time, enrage, Mia snarled at her back but still nodded with ‘Of course’ even their sweet scenes that were dubbed ‘Memories’ was completely recorded. Put it in a safe and secure treasure box with a label ‘Hearts of Hearts’
Celty was disgusted by the stalker attitude that she never knew from her former close friend – and so, she wanted to ask one.
But Mia refused. Saying that this was her treasure.
… And so, the two started a fight.
