Along the way, more monsters attacked them as they go even deeper into the forest. Even this was Allen’s first time in going inside this place.
The beauty of nature was truly outstanding!
Allen suddenly felt a sharp wind piercing through the air from behind him.
Allen casually sidestepped and the sharp wind brushed past him. With an indifferent expression, he turned his head and discovered that the magical beast that was sneaking behind him had been cut into pieces.
Sara was already there, her claws dripping with blood. Her assistance warmed Allen’s heart.
It has been like this the moment they entered the forest.
Allen never did anything, aside from nonchalantly walking away. Sara, Aileen, and Mireya was the one who was going around and killing enemies they moment they saw them. No monsters can get close even meters away from Allen and Alkrasha.
They must have been doing this due to Allen's injury that had yet to be fully healed as well as Alkrasha’s sensitive state.
Thus, although this should have been a more dangerous place but for Allen and Alkrasha, this had turned into a normal stroll.
As they were, the sky in front of them suddenly darkened, and dense sheets of black mist flew towards them.
The people following them said with surprise, “Black magic! Curse of the Plague harvest!!”
Allen raised his head and saw, indeed, although it looked like a black mist but in fact, it was an army of small insect-like thing. “Curse of the Plague Harvest, huh…” A novel name… however, “Is this some kind of welcoming for us?”
Jayla immediately stepped forward and cast a barrier around the group. Then she started chanting and a holy light rushed towards the black insects. However, the number was just too much and only a small portion was erased by Jayla’s power.
Jayla frowned and was about to do it again when Allen rose his hand and his eyes suddenly changed and a ripple pattern appeared, spreading over the entire eyeball.
“Shinra Tensei!” Boom! As if pushed by a giant hand, the black insects were sent flying away in the opposite direction.
“We can deal with it, you know~,” Aileen said bitterly.
“Too much trouble, let’s just move on…” Allen smiled wryly and the continued walking forward.
Allenn’s power shocked the people following behind them. This was the first time they had seen him act and his power is really terrifying…
They suddenly felt some hope surging inside of them!
The freedom they longed for all these time is finally within their reach!
… …
… …
Making their way agilely through the forests, sometimes skipping over fallen rocks, sometimes crawling over fallen trees, the group pressed onwards.
If you encounter this tale on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
But when the sun was almost set, the group finally arrived at a huge cliff.
Allen stared down and saw that the cliff was probably hundred meters high.
Under the cliff was another sea of trees, but what caught the other’s attention the most was another thing.
Standing at the edge, Allen and the other saw a huge floating small island.
At the top of the island were many bird-like creatures flying around.
“Is that Laputa…?” Allen can’t help but say that. However, as someone who had seen the real floating island, Allen knew that it wasn’t the real thing.
Laputa looked more like a floating huge city or castle, unlike this real floating island...
“How can we go up?” Aileen asked. Aside from Allen, Alkrasha, and Sara, Mireya, Aileen, Jayla, and Mayla can’t fly.
Allen grins. He took his mask off and his devil appearance was revealed under everyone’s eyes. “Take some of my feathers and use it…”
Aileen and the others excitedly plucked Allen’s feathers after hearing what they can do. As for the Aswang tribe, they can actually fly after applying some sort of oil-like material…
Truly mysterious beings...
… …
… …
Woosh!!
The moment they landed, they were immediately greeted by dozens of birdman surrounding them.
“Is this a new way of welcoming a guest?” Allen’s eyes narrowed dangerously.
Aileen and the others also pulled out their weapons, ready to engage at any given moment.
“Hohoho, this is nothing but a precaution…” A rough voice rang out. The group of birdmen immediately parted and make a way. And like Moses parting the sea, a man with an eagle head and arms that of golden wings slowly walked in the middle.
“Please don’t take offense, your majesty, monarch,” The voice solemn and respectful but Allen and the others can feel that the way the eagle-guy stared at Allen was like a hawk watching its prey. “I’m honored for your visit, monster monarch…”
“Manaul, I presume…” Allen smiled indifferently.
“There should be a King in there, but yes, I am King Manaul…. King of the Sky and ruler of all birds.” King Manaul bowed elegantly. “May I know the name of the two exalted Monster Monarchs…”
“King is it… oh well, King of Envy, Beast Emperor; Allen Bando and this is my wife; Queen of Insects; Alkrasha…” Allen introduced. He then turned to Aileen and others, “My others wives, Sara Avesta, Mireya Icefang, and…”
“Aileen Cahlo…” Aileen cut in with a bashful face. She didn’t let Allen introduced her to her.
That would rise up misunderstandings…
“Jayla Flores,” Jayla wore a wry smile.
“Mayla Flores,”
"As for why we came here and wasted a time to visit amidst our busy schedule..." Allen shrugs while grinning mischievously, “… because you’re an eyesore, Manaul!” He pointed at King Manaul.
King Manaul’s eyes narrowed but he suddenly laughs out loud.
“The Monster Monarch is lacking a bea–!?” As King Manaul was going to say something, suddenly his eyes widened in shock.
Pierce!
A claw suddenly protruded from his chest, “Keep on talking… Sadly, I’m not interested.” Allen’s voice rang out behind him. Drip! Drip! Blood dripped from the claws that had pierced through his chest from behind.
“How did you,” King Manaul’s eagle eyes widened in shock as he spat out a mouthful of blood from his sharp-looking beak. He stared down at the claws that were grasping something round – that was obviously his monster core.
A heart for all magical beings.
“Your Majesty!!” The sudden turn of event startled the birdmen.
However, the moment they were about to attack Allen, Boom!! They were sent flying in every direction.
Aileen, Sara, Mireya, and even Mayla started their attack. They encircled Allen and King Manaul’s position and started rampaging, not letting a single monster disturb Allen.
Seeing this, the Aswang tribe also started to move crazily. They looked like berserkers as they attacked the Birdmen that were continuously dropping down.
As for Allen, he ignored the surrounding. His hand suddenly blazed in blue flames and King Manaul’s wounds started burning in blue flames.
King Manaul tried to struggle free but back tentacles started coiling around his body, slowly binding him.
“Did you think that I just came here to talk first? Too bad, I’m not gentlemanly towards men… so, cursed yourself for being a man.” Allen mocked. “I’m not kind enough to let you show your power and then have a fight to the death with you,”
Allen smirked. “This is not a fictional hero story that the hero is needed to just shut up and observe until the villain used an obvious power-up~”
!!?
"If you die, then die just quietly and don't take too much time. The author is running out of ideas for the fighting scene!" Allen's lips curled upwards as more black spears stabbed King Manaul's body into a porcupine!
