Allen looked at the two girls with a wry smile before turning around and faced Gao Butian and Gao Zuquan.
“Old Gao, this is the finish line for us.”
“Are you leaving?” Gao Butian asked as he cast Sun Lingling a short glance.
Did Allen just come here for that woman?
“Not really leaving,” Allen shook his head. “I think I will be staying here for a while, however, it would be best if we separated here.”
Gao Butian frowned but he didn’t say anything.
“Young master Ye, what are you going to do now?”
“I think I’ll stay idle for now…” Allen smiled.
“Now then, Old Gao, Lady Gao, It’s been fun and enjoyable.” Allen bowed. Behind him, Tang Yu softly separated from Sun Lingling and bowed towards Gao Butian and Gao Zuquan without saying anything.
“May we meet again as willed by fate.” after saying his farewell, Allen turned around and started walking in the east direction.
“Brother Ye, we thank you for your benevolence. I would never forget this debt, as well as to you, Lady Tang!”
“Young Master Ye and Lady Tang, I hope we met again someday.”
Allen waved his hand while his back facing against them. Tang Yu and Sun Lingling nodded her head before following Allen and Madam White.
“Lingling grabbed my hand and Tang Yu, hold hands with Lingling,” Allen ordered as he touched Madam White’s body. Lingling and Tang Yu were bewildered but they still obediently obeyed his words.
Sun Lingling grabbed Allen’s hand while Tang Yu grabbed hers. In that moment, Allen, along with Madam White’s huge body, Sun Lingling and Tang Yu, faded as if they disappeared into thin air, under the surprised surroundings that were looking at their every action.
Obviously, this was the effect of the skill [ Invisibility ]. Allen and the others didn’t disappear but instead, turned invisible. He had felt many eyes locked on them, including those standing at the top of the walls.
Since Allen had something more urgent to do, he wanted to avoid any interference for now and used this skill.

“Young master,” As Allen and the group was walking inside the forest, Sun Lingling suddenly called out.
Allen had already undone the skill the moment they had entered the forest. At this moment, Sun Lingling, as well as Tang Yu, was following behind Allen.
“What is it?”
“About, about Lady Muxiao…” Sun Lingling started hesitantly.
“What about her?” Allen frowned.
Sun Lingling bit her lip and clenched her fists. “Is, is there no way, it could work between the two of you…?”
Suddenly, Allen stopped to stare at her.
“Sister Lingling, what are you saying? Liu Muxiao is young master’s…”
“Tang Yu,” Sun Lingling shot a look at Tang Yu.
Currently, she wasn’t wearing her veil so her beautiful brown eyes which were filled with complicated feelings were revealed on her.
Seeing her expression, Tang Yu’s words stuck in her throat and she was stumped.
“Lingling, why are you so adamant on this subject?” Allen doubtfully asked.
“If you are thinking of me letting go of the past and not be imprisoned by hatred and revenge, then I can do that. I don’t think I’m that narrowed of a person, especially since this world is different from the old. But, why do I have the feeling as if you are playing as a matchmaker between us? Why is that so?”
Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.
Allen isn’t dense and he could feel something wrong. But what it was, he has no idea.
Even if she had known our ‘past’ it was still insufficient for her to act like this. Besides, if she really had known, I think she would be the first one who would feel repugnant towards Liu Muxiao…
Sun Lingling flapped her mouth open but she couldn’t muster even a single word. After all, it’s not her place to do it. But she really wanted Allen to know about it because she was certain that if Allen knew the truth, he would readily accept Liu Muxiao.
But Liu Muxiao is hesitant on revealing the truth.
She took a deep breath and started, “Young master, I know I’m not in the position to say this but, I do believe that what had transpired in our previous life, especially our death, lady Muxiao doesn’t have anything to do with it.”
“So, I think, lady Muxiao is a good person. Besides, young master, although not deep but aren’t you friends with her? Blaming her with our tragic end is kind of… what can I say, a bit unfair…?”
Allen stared at her oddly, “Lingling, what are you on about?”
“Young master…”
Sun Lingling was fidgeting and seems to be contemplating as to how she would respond. A troubled look appeared on her.
Looking at her, Allen turned soft. He sighed, “Truthfully, I’m not blaming her for everything though … well, people are basically self-centered, I guess… I’m one of them.”
“I just felt that I was betrayed, although I know that it was never her fault.”
“In that time, we aren’t that close, to begin with, even if we are friends but I still selfishly thought of her as a very close friend. So, you know I pushed my feelings on her, forcefully. I wasn’t thinking properly at that time…” Allen admitted, solemnly.
“Besides, I had killed her father and I still blamed her for not understanding my hate. I guess, it wasn’t her but me who was selfish, very selfish…”
“Young master, then why don’t you reconcile with her? I think Lady Muxiao would readily agree to that…”
Allen’s eyes looked past her into the far distant, as if he wanted to say something but did not. He paused for a long while before saying: “Lingling, there are as many truths out there as there are stars in the sky…”
??
Allen paused before continuing, his voice slightly mocking. “Although I’m selfish and I admit that I’m also in the wrong but… this time, I won’t lower my head first.”
Allen’s gaze turned above and looked at the huge tree slightly far behind them. “Isn’t that right, Muxiao…?”
“… …”
Tang Yu and Sun Lingling were both startled and immediately followed Allen’s light of sight.
“I already did, Wushuang… didn’t I already kneeled?” A faint voice rang out.
The voice was a bit nasally as if the owner had just finished crying.
After a short moment, a white figure landed on the ground. It was Liu Muxiao.
Allen calmly lifted his eyes to look at her: “Yeah, you did… but is that all?”
Allen’s expression was somewhat enigmatic.
“Then what do you want me to do?” Liu Muxiao stared at her shoes and asked in a low and clear voice.
Allen acted coolly: “Muxiao, let me ask you a question.”
??
“Do you think that a mere Lv8 fox demon’s curse would last forever?”
“What?”
Liu Muxiao was dumbstruck. Her eyes widened in shock.
But Allen didn’t stop and continued: “A mere Lv8 monster’s curse could easily be lifted by an [ Angel’s Prayer ] from a King level Superhuman… don’t you know that?”
Seeing her shocked look, a faint mocking sneer emerged on his handsome face. “Did you really think that it wouldn’t be removed? Ah! I also did not expect, someone I had blamed one-sidedly and hated was actually the woman I had made love with… do you know how shock I was? Do you know how I felt that fact that I had forgotten the woman I had made promised to?” Allen said coldly.
“… And worst, she was the one I often talk and laugh with whenever I was killing time. All this while, knowing the ‘past’ we had shared.”
“As for me? I was hidden in the dark…”
Liu Muxiao’s face suddenly became pale. He remembered! He remembered!!
Why did she not think about it? Why did she not realize that such a thing was certainly possible!?
How could she not know how powerful Maria’s healing ability was? As long as they are not dead, she could completely revive them without any trouble.
A curse made by a mere Lv8 monster… why did she think that it was impossible to lift that kind of curse?
Liu Muxiao unsteadily said: “You, you remember… everything?”
“Of course.” Allen nodded his head.
“It was when I was cursed by the witch queen, the curse of the rotting corpse. She cured me but along with it, the curse of the fox demon was also removed accidentally. After all, the [ Angel’s Prayer ] is a healing type ability that clears all negative status.”
Ah, that time. In that fight, Allen was close to death after he was hit by the witch queen’s curse. If not for Maria who managed to arrive in the nick of time and exchange some of her life’s force with him, Allen would certainly kick the bucket.
Liu Muxiao also knows of this, at that time, she was also unsettled when she heard of that. She even had a small panic attack.
However, after hearing that Allen was fine, she was able to regain her calm.
But now, it actually removed something else too.
Liu Muxiao closed her eyes, it did not matter anymore.
Allen remembered everything… her secret that she had hidden from him had finally been uncovered.
Liu Muxiao’s heart started pounding, and her face began to turn red.
Short breaths escaped her lips instead of words.
“Did you know how I felt back then?” Allen asked coldly. “We had seen each other for so many times. Talk and drink together, sometimes we laughed together. I treated you as a friend… but then I realized I was a fool.”
Allen let out a dry laugh. At that time, he felt as if he was being played.
Liu Muxiao weakly tried to explain: “Allen …… at that time, I, I don’t know how to explain. It was an unbelievable story and you will just forget me when the day ends. So, I…”
“Is that really all to it, Muxiao?” Allen wore a pained look. “…or was it because you choose your duty and responsibility instead of me?”
“… …”
Allen’s voice sounded grim and sharp as if coming from hell, “Do you know how heartbroken I was at that time? Especially when I realized that China was already destroyed due to demon’s invasion and the Heavenly Cloud Mountain Sect was annihilated along with the other Martial Sects.”
That night, Allen finally understood what “absence makes the heart grow fonder” meant. He missed her so much he couldn’t sleep for several days.
“I wanted to find you, to apologize for saying all those cold and hurtful things… but you were already not there. No matter where I seek, I couldn’t find you. There’s no other trace, even after asking all the Sect’s remnants. They don’t have any news about you. They just said you had disappeared, as for whether you were alive or not… it’s uncertain.”
What?!
