Chapter 525: [ Kiss him...? ]
Quickly, several days have already passed by!
Allen’s life went by incomparably leisurely and carefree, every day reads and studies many kinds of Cultivation theories and manuals, play with Si Mulan whose cultivation was still rising steadily as well as, play and flirts with Laura, Lama, and the others.
As for the Ruinos Castle, aside from the Second floor of the Castle where the Throne Hall and Allen’s personal bedroom was located, the first floor was buzzing with activities all day.
Aside from the slaves that were practicing and cultivating seriously, Dawn’s members; Si Mulan, Xie Fang, Xia Xinyan, Yu Tingting, Zhao Shen and the newly added, Allen’s servant; Lan Ling ‘er, all used to the better resources and spirit Qi of the Ruinos Castle. Thus, always present in the castle’s courtyard.
At first, Si Mulan and Lan Ling ‘er were always at odds with each other. Every time would turn into a conflict and every little thing could cause a battle between them. However, as they say, no one knows better than you like your enemy… although these two girls were always against each other, they actually show a strange compatibility from time to time.
Although they didn’t show it themselves but it seems like, they somehow managed to accept each other as members of Allen’s group. There were even times where, Si Mulan and Lan ling ‘er worked well together, especially in times of a spar against the other people or missions from Dawn or the Sect. They seemed to understand each other right from the beginning, and they were very compatible.
This had become a shock to other people, assuming their original rather-die-than-friends attitudes and Family conflicts—it was really strange how they could somehow be so similar, and in so many ways.
They both cultivation maniacs, strong familial pieties, the same worries, small or big, and had boundless energy, were extremely dedicated, driven, and well organized. Although most of the time they grate each other’s nerves, create problems for each other but sometimes, if push comes to shove, they seemed to always be in a step.
Ambition. Lan Ling ‘er was loaded with it. She knew this only too well, and she was alright that she was.
Lan Ling ‘er considered being a plus, not a minus. Xie Fang and the others had occasionally complained that she was too ambitious but she doesn’t care. She wished her family to live well and only being ambitious would only give that wish of her a reality!
As for Si Mulan, although have some ambitions but compared to Lan Ling ‘er, It was far less. What she only wanted was to help and support her beloved sister no matter what. As for the family’s ambitions, she was not too much keen on it.
Unlike Lan Ling ‘er who prioritize her family and Clan rather than her happiness and safety, Si Mulan was the opposite. She was the type of girl who has extremely clear views about what she wants in life and is willing to give everything up to the person she likes—for example, her sister. She loves sister the most and although what her sister wanted seemed to be quite different from what the Family desires, Si Mulan would not hesitate to choose to support her sister without any hesitation and doubt!
Both came from powerful families, both bearing mountain-like burdens… yet, each of them has different thoughts and ways of solving them. This clearly shows their real characters…
Allen realized this but he wouldn’t do anything. Lan Ling ‘er’s selfless acts were irritating and annoying but later in the future, Allen was certain that Lan Ling ‘er would surely realize what she wanted to do, not on her family’s sake but for hers…
One could only find happiness… when one knows what to sacrifice just to gain it.
Either Lan Ling ‘er will choose to sacrifice her happiness for her family’s ambitions or sacrifice her family’s ambition for her happiness… as to what she would choose, Allen has no right to intervene, he could only watch her from the distance, leaving it for her to choose it herself.
... ...
Lan Ling ‘er took several deep breaths, keeping absolute control of herself and her emotions, as she walked down the gloomy corridor leading towards the guest hall on the first floor. After a few minutes of walking, finally, she saw the room at the end of the corridor beside the staircase towards the second floor.
Creak! The wooden door plated with gold and silver, creaked and the minute her inside, Lan Ling ‘er was startled.
The room was empty, void of people, they were probably holing themselves in the library and practice chambers of the Castle—however, what startled Lan Ling ‘er was that she had seen someone she hadn’t seen for quite a few days—Ye Wushuang, her supposed to be master, whether she liked it or not.

Different from Si Mulan’s Master-Disciple relationship, hers was the Master-Slave relationship.
A very regrettable relationship...
Ye Wushuang was sleeping on the couch, alone. Why? Lan Ling ‘er was bewildered. Where’s that scary servant that was always been beside him? Why is he alone here? Many questions pop out one after another inside her mind as she, like a cat with silent steps, quietly walked towards the sleeping figure. She didn't know why she was doing this, nor she didn't even realize her sneaky actions.
She looks at him.
Ye Wushuang… the most enigmatic man she had seen in her entire life. He was young, probably just a bit older than her for several years and yet, his power was something she can never fathom. How? How is he able to have such power?
Who was he?
What are his origins?
What are his goals?
Ye Wushuang was like a mystery she couldn’t understand. His very being was extremely difficult to believe that he existed.
Lan Ling ‘er stared at Ye Wushuang’s sleeping face. His breathing was even and there was zero movement from his body.
Following that, she squatted down and hugged her knees. Her line of sight was at the same level as Allen’s head.
In the hazy dim light coming through the window, as if admiring a work of art, Lan Ling ‘er’s head was tilted to one side and her shining gem-like eyes were hooded. She looked at Allen in detail, strange yet beautiful snowy hair, long eyelashes, perfect chiseled face and pale white complexion that even women would surely feel envious of.
After knowing him for so long, it was the first time she had looked closely at his appearance. She had to admit, his presence overwhelmed her, to the point that she would avert her eyes whenever she saw him.
There was something about him, something within him, that reached out to her, moved her in a way she had never been moved before by any other man.
In fact, often she wonders… what would it be like if she really was just another normal girl… would she follow him without hesitation…? Would she forsake everything just to be with this kind of man…?
It would be a lie if she said she wasn’t moved. This youth was filled with mystery, like a black hole that sucked in all of her attention, filling her head with thoughts of him when she was daydreaming. This might be just her admiration and awe, the liking she had towards this man. A misconception of love—probably just a mere suspension bridge effect, nothing more than that.
The fear she thought as love and like…
Due to their relationship, to his mystery, to his power, her reaction to him had always been intense when they met. She felt unsteady when she was with him, and breathless, almost as if she had been beaten senseless.
And yet, why does she feel that she doesn’t care?
Weird… strange…
Don’t I hate him…? Hate enough to wish he was dead…?
Peering closer to his sleeping face, Lan Ling ‘er could not help thinking how debonair and dashing he looked, sleeping peacefully without the impurity of the world. It was a bit windy, and the window was wide open, causing his snow-white hair to sway and be ruffled. Lan Ling ‘er bit her lips… she found him irresistible the more she stared at him.
However, Lan Ling ‘er wasn’t a delusionist. Although she was quite confident in her appearance, but she knows that Ye Wushuang was hardly likely to be interested in her.
He had everything already—he was hardly powerful with hardly anyone to rival him, immensely wealthy that his wealth and treasures would surely drown her clan to death, even with just this magical treasure called—Ruinos Castle and the things found within, is enough to blow them out, and most of all—Devastatingly attractive that only a few could rival him in terms of appearance.
Even with just a smile, many women would surely fall. A voice that could attract any woman and captivate them—and therefore, he could have any woman in this world he wanted. Why would he have an interest in someone like her…?
Haaa~ Lan Ling ‘er sigh. With her character, with her goals, Ye Wushuang was not the kind of man a woman like her should never become involved with. He was far too dangerous, guaranteed to wreak havoc and cause heartbreak—enough to destroy an entire kingdom or even a world…!
Oh well, although she didn’t know when but the moment she managed to free herself from this curse, she would surely leave and run away, never to stay even a single minute with this man…!
He was destined to fly in the nine heavens while she was already contented in walking on the ground.
That is enough…
—or so she thought…
Would it kill you to treat me way better than usual…?
Would it hurt you to treat me the same way you do with Si Mulan?
Slowly, Lan Ling ‘er’s eyes grew ever more affixed onto Allen. She felt like she couldn’t pull away, and it felt like the shell around her heart, that had lain indifferent for years, was breaking, causing her breathing to accelerate.
A bold thought came out of nowhere—I really want to kiss him…
It wouldn’t matter right…?
It would just be a single kiss on his face. I’ll just close my eyes, give him a quick peck and then I’ll leave…
He won’t wake up now, right? So what if he does? It’s not like he’s losing anything from getting kissed by me. It's not like he’ll die from a kiss?
…. I can… right?
Lan Ling ‘er pursed her full lips, her head was full of messy thoughts.
She was aware that her thoughts weren’t right, but no matter what, she couldn’t control that overwhelming urge--the innocently sleeping face of someone like Allen was just too dangerous if one didn't know about it.
The pheromone that exudes by a certain race unconsciously--was a powerful curse to people who didn't guard against it...!
