Chapter 607: [ Kris Tian (2)]
The veins on Kris Tian’s forehead continued to throb as she closely stared at Allen’s indifferent, but beautiful crimson eyes.
His indifference after realizing her identity irked her so much. She resisted the urge to charge over and tear him apart with her bare hands, and took a deep breath. Her anger turned into a smile. The smile continued to become colder as she looked towards Allen: “…you’re quite calm…aren’t you?”
“…Don’t glare at me like that. I know that I also had many misgivings but although I find it quite low to give reasons to the things already done, there were really many things that had happened at that time that I don't have any control with."
"... ..."
"... If you are really her, then I can only apologize…if you want me to kneel down, then I will do it without hesitation and beg for forgiveness. That's the least I could do...” Allen muttered with a sorrowful smile.
Seeing him like this, that one felt pain just by looking at his current expression, was the people around him. They couldn't understand why or what was happening but they all know that Allen these words this time was coming from his heart.
Furthermore, the words he had spoken caused all the girls standing stunned, struck silly.
Kneel?
Allen will kneel in front of this girl...?
What is going on…?!
“…you might think, that even though I had realized who you are, I was still acting hatefully and calmly like this, indeed I am a sorry excuse for being a man… but, I’m sorry about that either. I don’t know how to react or do anything in this kind of situation.” Allen smiled bitterly as he saw her walking slowly towards her seat. “…besides, since you are trying to cover your identity then, it means you didn’t approach me because you want to be acknowledged right…?”
“… …”
“I don’t know how you did it… but I just hope that you won’t hate anyone else apart from me. Hate me and despise me all you want…just me alone…” Allen’s pain smile was quite evident when he picked up the glass of bourbon and drunk it all in one shot.
Kris Tian’s body trembled slightly. If not for Allen observing her closely, it would be impossible for him to pick up that slight movement. Her voice then sounded after a while, “…Ah, I hate you…” Kris Tian muttered coldly.
Her usual cheerful and amiable expression change in an instant. Murderous killing intent gushed out from her, all then directed towards Allen, that even the latter’s glass broke into tiny pieces and the bar countered cracked.
“…I had always hated you…all this time, all I think was how I hated you, enough to the point of thinking that the moment I saw you, I wanted to kill you…!” Kris Tian said these words with her teeth tightly clenched.
The dense hatred in her voice, resentment that rose to the heavens, and pain that pricked her soul were fully displayed in her words!
Perhaps knowingly, perhaps unknowingly, but Kris Tian’s words had pierced right into the depths of Allen’s heart and it was as though the scar that he had hidden within himself for a thousand years had surfaced again. His body began to tremble as he bit down on his lower lip with a trace of blood flowing down.
A long while later,
“… …I see,” Allen let out a gloomy sigh. His lips curled into a bitter and helpless smile.
“You…!!!” Layla and the others who were watching the scene develop in a confusing manner, stood blankly at the side, not knowing how to join in. But when Kris Tian muttered how she wanted to kill Allen, they finally broke off from their daze.
“Husband… do you really know her?” Liu Muxiao cautiously walks beside Allen, staring at Kris Tian, as if trying her hardest to remember her.
Unlike the others, for some unknown reason, she felt neither hate nor anger towards this mysterious girl, instead--sorrow, full of sadness rather, like her heart being squeezed by something. It was an extremely strange feeling she couldn’t understand.
She ought to be angry for some unknown woman declaring that they wanted to kill her most beloved person, but why is it…
“…I was not sure at first,” Allen shook his head, meeting the girl’s glaring gaze. “I thought I was mistaken because of that girl…came unto me, bearing a little hostility that which was leaked from time to time, as if wanting to kill me…” He smiled wryly.
“What?! Then, she’s an enemy?!”
Allen fell into a long silence.
In Kris Tian’s beautiful eyes, tears welled up and flowed down silently. She sighs and then, “I am not…!” she muttered through clenched teeth. "At least, not anymore..." she sighs as she stared at Liu Muxiao with a bitter expression.
After a long time, Allen finally spoke in a heavy tone, “…well, things as such weren’t really important anymore. Isn’t it, Kris?”
“… …”
“…How was your life…?” Allen asked as he slid a glass of whiskey towards Kris, startling the latter.
His voice sounded dreamy, as though traveling from within a dream.
"Me?" Kris Tian let out a fuzzy smile, "Are you showing me care and concern?"
Allen turned around, his eyes blazing, "Did you think that my concern for you is not enough? If you didn't turn up, I would, of course, be less than bothered, but since you've already come over, how can I not even bother to ask?"
"Heee?! Aren’t you quite a respectable man," Kris Tian let out a cold laugh as she spoke in an agonized tone, "From the past to the present, when have you treated me as your own?"
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
"No matter what you say, our relationship is not something that can be taken lightly, right?" Allen’s voice was similarly laced with pain as he replied, "At least, let me hear it. This is only my wish and hope…"
A light patter on the ground was heard from the tears coming from Kris Tian. She fell silent, and sat down without a word, lowering her head to look at the ground. It was unknown as to what she was thinking, but her mind was working furiously, much like a raging river flowing ceaselessly!
Then, a pained smile appeared on the girl’s face.
“…It was the worst, is what I want to say.” Kris frowned before taking the glass with a bit of reluctance. “In the first place, normally someone in your status shouldn’t give me alcohol to drink, ain't it?”
Allen chuckled. “Don’t be so strict…you’re already an adult…”
“… …” Kris stared at the glass before taking a sip, “…Hmph! Don’t think that my feelings would change because of this. In fact, I never expected you to appear here…”
“Hey, husband… no matter how much I tried to remember, I just can’t seem to remember meeting someone like her… does she really belong in that world…?” Liu Muxiao asked, curiously.
“You don’t need to remember…” The one who answered was Kris Tian instead of Allen. “I never expected you to still remember that world in your second life… but it doesn’t matter anymore. As you have expected, that world is long gone—for all of you that is…all of it remains was nothing but painful memories, so it’s best if you don’t think about it. You don’t need to go out of your way to recall it…”
“…if what you said is real, then, why are you here…? How are able to still survive and come here?” Liu Muxiao asked.
Kris Tian smiled faintly, “…because of some circumstances. Well, aside from the fact that I’m also…a Demon, some kind…I have a better life compared to the others…I never felt myself hiding, I can go anywhere I want without raising suspicions, unlike the others who were left with no options but to hide like worms in the ground…”
“What?!” Liu Muxiao almost jumped out from shock. “You, you are a demon…?!”
“…a quarter…” Allen muttered behind the two. He looked at Kris Tian, and the latter met his gaze.
“…well, although I hated this blood, ironically this had saved my life numerous times as well…” Kris Tian showed a melancholic expression.
Hated this blood… Allen felt a stinging pain in his heart.
As her voice began to fade, the others went silent, as if giving her space. After a while, following her melancholia, the venue seemed to relax, and a carefree atmosphere filled the air once again.
The soft sound of wind and string instruments began to flow. At the enthusiasm of the organizers who had prepared an evening of live music, the men old and young immediately responded.
Making full use of the trials they had gone through, they took the hands of the girls they had grown close to and proceeded to the center of the hall.
Dancing…
"Well…the sixth dance has started, I don’t think this topic was suitable for this night…?" continued Kris Tian, giving the vividly hued background a few quick glimpses.
"I think as well, this conversation is oddly unsuitable for this night," Allen in a black fur-lined coat, with a black shirt underneath, smiling. "… We are at a party after all." He then stood up and started walking towards Kris Tian.
Kris Tian remained sitting, starting at the incoming Allen with half-lidded eyes. As the crimson-eyed youth drew closer, the gigantic fountain behind him, located just beside the Bar counters, abruptly overflowed.
A thin sheet of water swiftly blanketed the ground, reflecting a purple-turning black sky that was dusted with myriads of yellow-turning-white stars.
As it gently flowed over the back of Allen's shiny black shoes, he began to shift from color to color. His hair turned from snow to purple, from lapis lazuli to dark amethyst, from dark amethyst to sapphire, from sapphire to emerald, from emerald to gold.
The same thing occurred when the water from the fountain touched the rim of Marie Antoinette based, ballroom gown of Kris, causing the dress to shift to wine-red and sea-blue.
"So then," Allen began, passing through the confused Liu Muxiao and the others, bowing down as his orange eyes became brilliant rubies once again. "Shall we dance?"
“… …” Kris Tian narrowed her eyes, seemingly hesitating. Then, looking at the people standing behind him, she sighs, returned the bow, and then took Allen’s proffered hand. “…my pleasure…”

The music resumed under the stares of the crowd. Countless pairs made their way to the center as they danced merrily.
A surreal scene that can only be seen in fairytales was now happening in front of him. Dragging, Kris Tian towards the center of Dance Floor, Allen took the lead and grasped her hand and brought it around his neck, while his, went towards her firm waist.
The waltz music was a dreamy and fantasy-like somber melody.
Allen really didn’t know how Romeia got ahold of all these music and melodies. But, if Allen wasn’t mistaken, this beautiful Slow Waltz Music was almost identical to that of music composed by a Fantasy composer; Ekaterina.
A Celtic/Russian musician and composer from the UK back in Earth.
This should be their first time dancing in front of the crowd. But maybe the players had gone through lots of training, or perhaps due to their training and reflex cultivated in countless battles, their movements were smooth and graceful, although their facial expressions remained stiff.
The gentle string instruments and the new sound of wind instruments gave the music more depth.
“… …”
While dancing, Kris Tian stared at the man in front. He had never aged just like what she expected he would be. In fact; he was even more youthful than what she imagined.
The man who once been hailed as a Hero, without understanding his own root.
Known as a great and wise man yet… for all I know, he was nothing but the worst man ever existed…!
“…life ain’t wonderful in my part…however, the gods have done some tasteful things for me to meet you here… you didn’t know how much I’ve longed for this moment…” Allen muttered with a faint smile as he stared at her.
“…spare me with the sophistry. The man who abandoned us has no right to say that…” Kris Tian replied with a glare.
“But I…” Allen showed a pained look. Then, he shook his head, “Nah… I guess that won’t do anything to you right now. The sufferings you have experience up until now would never be forgotten even if I say those words…it will all just be excuses and reasons,”
“… …”
“Even still, I don’t know what happened… but…you might not like this, me acting like a great father and all but… you really did great surviving till now…”
“… …” Kris Tian frowned but she didn’t say anything. She sighs and asked, “How did you notice…?”
Allen smiled faintly, “…As if a father wouldn’t recognize his daughter.”
Though, it was different. One could say, Allen as a Mixed Race also possesses abilities from other races…especially dragons. They have the strongest bond of all families due to them having the lowest fertility rate in the world, even lower than the Elves themselves.
As long as one was near to them, even if they were being concealed, they still able to feel them… that was how Allen knew of it.
As long as one possesses his blood, he would be able to feel it.
“…Actually, when I first met you, I already had a sort of premonition, but I didn't dare to believe, nor was I willing to believe. Even though your behavior became more and more obvious, I've maintained that self-deceiving attitude of not wanting to believe! Because to me, this matter is after all still a little hard to take in, or probably a bit impossible to happen. However, at this point, I've found out that when I face up to it, that's all there is to it! It's just that simple, just so..."
The first time he saw her, he was assailed by a feeling of being in a conflicted situation, rising in his heart. He would feel an emotion of affection towards Kris Tian when he looked at her. After all, she was a beautiful young woman.
However, for some unknown reason, a feeling of blood connection had arisen in his heart when he had looked at her every time. In fact, Allen felt that he was closest to her.
This feeling was very mysterious.
Moreover, Allen vaguely felt, ‘How is it possible that this young woman resembles… Ciel…especially in the eyes..?’
And, the more he looked at her, the more wildly his heart throbbed.
In fact, he couldn't even contain it…
In addition, the facial features of the woman had started to become clear. And, the more Allen looked at her, the more it matched with the images of her Ciel, overlapping with a certain someone…!
After thinking about it, Allen had a sudden realization. However, the question is…who was the mother…?
Though, Allen didn’t know how or who was her mother.
That was why Allen was still skeptical about it…not until Liu Muxiao appeared.
