Chapter 620:[ Appearance of the Dark Allen ]

“Kyaaa!!”

A Godkin who was sitting on the ground due to the fall saw a golden snake-like thing coming towards her, no, charging should be the right term as it looked like a golden snake dragon violently chasing its prey and was immediately terrified.

She was about to run away but with the speed of lightning, it was useless.

The Godkin could only close her eyes as she braced herself from the impact and pain that would come in a blink of an eye—all the other people did the same, all of them curled in the grounds like cicadas—however, no matter how long they waited nothing happened.

The terrifying expectation they were having…never occurred!

“Eh?”

When they opened their eyes, to their shock, the lightning sparks only brushed past them and attack those monsters and demons instead.

All of them stared aghast by this miraculous scene, even those descendants of the Great God Thor couldn’t help but be dumbstruck by the impossible spectacle before them. Not even one human or Godkin was hurt nor attack and only assaulted the demons and monsters around them—giving quite stunning scenery.

The forest rustled violently, shifting from the sounds made by the monsters and demons around, who were running away with all their might from the immense ‘demons’ of lightning rushing towards them as if they are being hunted and eyed by horrifying predators.

Even the weakest and most inferior of all monsters and demons, which possesses no intelligence and means of sensing danger, were unable to withstand the abnormal assault that came out of nowhere and fell down on the ground, crying and wailing in pain, then fell on the ground, smoking while twitching violently.

Even demonic beasts that we're unable to escape could only curl on the ground, dying.

The sound of their crying and wailing raining out of the trees and littering the forest floor resounded throughout the forest.

Whether it was the monsters with the toughest defense couldn’t help but cry and scream from an endless pain that was tormenting them.

It’s not just about being cut down, smashed, punched or rammed on…but the pain they were suffering was like torture…

The entire forest was then filled with horrifying screams and cries of agony and hellish despair.

—However, not one of the Godkins and High Human warriors was hurt… not even a single one.

This state of control…

The sight of it shocked all of the people present on the battlefield. More miserable shrieks rang out as the golden arcs of lightning continued to spread. Moments ago, the Monsters and Demons face had been covered with malevolent, murderous expressions. Now, they were trembling in terror.

One side was in a state of constant retreat, and the other side was pushing them relentlessly.

The ground was stained with blood and littered with corpses.

Booms filled the air as Monsters and Demons was forced into constant retreat. Even the giant Cyclops and the demon boy were seriously injured, from just one impact. There were also those who immediately take flight and safely avoided the disaster but for those who couldn’t, they could only endure—

[Chain Lightning]

An ultimate skill in the Lightning Magic System that can destroy a City in one blink.

Almost a quarter of the Monster and Demon Horde was killed instantly, while most barely endured the rampaging of the lightning within their bodies and the chaotic explosive energy contained in each strand of lightning. Among the magic system, Lightning is easily one of the most dangerous and violent types of energy that can cause immense destruction.

Amidst the destruction, all creatures, within range or outside of the range of the destroyer of nature gazes at the black-clothed youth standing on the ground, struck with awe and fear, but that flippant look of his betrays no sign of his magnificent power.

“Hm?” Allen looks around and saw the image of the current battlefield started to blur—many monster and demon bodies appeared hazy and started cracking like some sort of broken video.

So not only it was masking the existence of powerful monsters, but the entire battlefield was also covered by an illusion—

so that was the out of place I’m feeling since a while ago. Allen concluded with a wry smile.

Then, he felt some kind of pride; “Hmph! You think a mere illusion can obscure my eyes?!”

Just as Allen was getting ready to attack again, there was a deafening explosion that came from Norse God City. The lightning spark crawled from the ground to an enormous size and then Crack!! a loud cracking sound, as if a glass had broken resounded in the entire place.

Under the stunned gazes of every people, a large one-eyed giant with four arms appeared just beside the Norse God City, towering an almost over 500 ft. tall massive monster. His body was being besieged by electric sparks.

Seemingly couldn’t hold it anymore, the monster fell with a loud Baamm!! on the ground, groaning.

GeeEEEEaaaaAAAAAAAA――――――!!!!

Almost simultaneously, the boy riding on the giant Cyclop’s shoulder grasped his head with both hands and issued a loud cry of agony. He seemed to have suffered pain stronger than the one he had felt a while ago from the [Chain Lightning]

“Beeshu!!”

One of the Vampires cried out in shock as he saw the boy started falling from the Cyclop’s shoulder. At this moment, the Cyclops or should be one, suddenly turned blurry and its form started changing—then transformed into a giant dozen meters smaller from before.

However, this monster was far stronger than the Cyclops it had taken the form of because this monster was none other than—a Titan!

And not just a mere Titan but a horrifying Greek War Titan known for its ferocity and Madness in Combat—[ Makhai ]

Having two upper bodies attached by the backs, and two heads, they are far stronger and more vicious than normal Titans!

Oddveig and the other Asgardians who had seen the real form of what they are fighting up until now immediately stalled in midair. A chill crawled on their skin, as if a thousand ants started crawling on them, causing a cold sweat to drenched their backs and forehead—so that is why, no matter how they attack or gang up on it, they still remained to be the defeated party!

So this is the reason…!!

And to think they are underestimating it, calling it a mere giant…!?

Even Athena or Zeus would have found it extremely difficult to kill even one of them. It’s easily one of the most horrifying and destructive monsters in all mythologies that could cause Gods and Demons to tremble in fear.

They had completely underestimated their enemy and thought as nothing but a Cyclop—to think this has almost cost them their lives!

However, why is a Titan in this place…?

This is not Mt. Olympus!

That was not the only stunning revelation—when the illusion broke down the Monsters and Demons started appearing out of nowhere, even those that hadn’t existed a while ago, appeared as if materializing out of thin air. Now the numbers of the monsters and demons had almost doubled than from what was before, surrounding the entire City and slowly attacking the City’s Barrier or those surrounding one or two Godkins or High Human warriors.

So that’s why I felt being hit even though I was sure that I managed to avoid the attack from around me…!

So that’s why I felt danger all around me, and here I thought there was some enemy hiding, waiting for an ambush! They were actually just beside me or in front of me that I just couldn’t see…!

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

So that’s why…

…And many kinds of realization struck upon every people when they look around them the moment the illusion broke.

After knowing of this, their blood boiled due to anger and humiliation—‘If I had just let my guard down, I would have died without knowing how or why…!’ or something along those lines and their fury rose to nine heavens!

How dare you deceive us, you vile demons!!

How dare you humiliate us by attacking us secretly!!

You all are cowards!!!

They are warriors—thus, they rather die in direct combat and head-on fights. However, to sully the warriors' honor by doing such underhanded tricks…!!

Know your shame, you damn demons!!!

Almost all of the people present on the battlefield felt an unprecedented fury and roared in anger one after another.

Cursing and screaming, the battlefield was full of angry scolding and furious cry. However, Allen’s attention went towards the two Fifth-level monsters—who as expected, also had transformed into something else.

Rather than Two-Headed Wolf King, it was a Chimera with a power equivalent to that of seventh level monster, with the heads of three beasts; a Lion, a Goat, and a Dragon, with a pair of bat-like wings on its back and draconic scales giving off a metallic luster covering its body.

And the Iron Spiked Storm Bear turned out to be a large ten meters tall giant two-headed turtle with a tail akin to that of a scorpion’s stinger. It was a type of Land Behemoth known for its powerful defense. They were disguised, probably to lure weaker people thinking that they can win against these monsters and throw their lives away.

Such a devious plan…!

Of course, aside from these two, there were also real Fifth Two-Headed Demonic Wolf and Iron Spike Storm Bear. Then there were also several Fifth Level Monsters that had popped out in thin air, including a Griffon-like monster. It had the lower body of a lion and the upper body of that of a Hawk, and its wingspan was 50 feet wide.

This monster has the power of that of seventh level, close to eight-level, and has the power to kill a Lesser Deity easily!

And this Griffon should be the strongest monster in this Horde, seeing that when the illusion was broken it hurriedly retroceded, looking at Allen wearily and full of vigilance and fear. Its eyes gleaming with intelligence!

It seems like it can sense how dangerous Allen was.

Then Allen’s gaze turned towards the massive giant with one eye who was slowly standing up. Its expression was menacing and full of anger. It should be the mastermind behind the illusion.

“Spectral Cyclop…!!?” Eric exclaimed in surprise as he looks at the monster just beside the Norse God City Wall. And without hesitation, Eric transformed into a flash of lightning and appeared just before the Spectral Cyclops, crying out with MAX level fury and anger; “You bastard Monster!!!”

With his sword coated in thick lightning, he swung the long sword on his hand towards the monster, blasting it away from the City along with its painful cry!

“You dare deceive my, Eric Thor’s eyes!?! I’ll send you to hell!!”

Eric furiously cried out in anger as dozens of lightning bolt struck the Spectral Cyclops from the sky, making it cry in pain once again. Its agonizing shrieks can evoke pity and sympathy on those who have heard it. It was like a pig being butchered, it couldn’t even stand up again from Eric’s continuous fury-powered attack!

“You dare!!”

The two Vampires immediately appeared in front of the Spectral Cyclops and shielded the incoming lightning bolts.

“Fuck off!!!” Eric angrily snorted as another thunderbolt appeared, striking the three demons.

“Aaaaahh!!”

The demons were blasted off, not even able to contend against Eric’s War God-like exploding power.

“Sol!!” Eerika who had recovered from shock immediately stood up and run towards Allen. Allen’s eyes sharpened and his figure flickered, only to reappear beside Eerika, Clang!! Allen’s left hand grabbed Eerika’s waist and pulled it towards him, while his right arm extended forward, a black scale-like thing on his hand.

“What’s the big idea?!”

Allen growled as he glared at the reptilian demon suspended in midair, looking down at them. It actually almost killed Eerika? This bastard, it seems like he is seeking his death…!

“Sol?!”

“It’s fine…” Allen smiled at Eerika and pulled her behind him. Then, he stood in front of her, staring viciously at the demon who had issued the attack.

“Your Excellency, although I don’t know who you are but aren’t you a demon as well? Why are you helping these contemptuous God Clans?!” the old reptilian high-ranking demon gave Allen a meaningful look. His voice tinged with fury as what Allen had did destroyed all their plans in an instant—even their almost near-victory had popped out like an air bubble. And this completely angers him to no end…!

“I assume you know what is happening here. What you are doing is completely betraying your kind. Please provide your response. What happens here today all depends on you,”

His words were filled with an air of authority.

“… …” Eerika frowned from what the demon said but she didn’t say anything. She looks at the child-like Allen in front of her. And her gaze never wavered nor shown signs of doubt and anxiety, instead, a brilliant smile blossomed on her face.

Her gaze soft and warm, as she already knows what Allen’s answer—

This is her most beloved and he would never betray her!

Thinking against it is unthinkable to even for her—it never even appeared on her mind. She had a blind trust in him.

And this trust was not betrayed…!

“…response? Is that really needed to say?” Allen wasn’t the least fazed. He stared at the old demon with half-lidded eyes.

A provoking smile on his youthful and childish face, “…And betray…? Aren’t you talking childishly, old man? We are all adults here; there are no stupid kids here to fool. Among the inhabitants of the Demon World, there’s no such thing as sin, even betrayal didn’t exist in our vocabulary. After all, Demons had always been full of betrayal…it’s just like eating popcorn while watching a cinema, it’s never new. That’s what Demons are! That’s how we define what Demons really are…! That’s the brand that sticks to us wherever we go!”

“... …?!”

Allen’s words struck the old demon’s heart and his face immediately darkened as he suddenly found himself unable to refute Allen’s words. What he said was like a grumbling of a fool, a thief crying out a thief. Betrayal…? Even him, he had lost count on how many people close to him he had betrayed.

Family, Friends, Lovers, Masters—what he had just said was like calling a prostitute a virgin, truly ridiculous!

His brows twitched. In this war, he was not fighting for the glory of the Demon World or something like that—he just wants to kill…!

Wants to destroy, wants to hear a scream of pain…!

This is not out of loyalty—!!

His face reptilian’s face immediately turned red from shame. However, Allen was not yet finished talking. Allen chuckled in amusement. “If you call me a traitor, then you should be prepared to be called as well, like all other demons. Though that’s not really necessary, after all, I never have betrayed anyone in my life. I might be a demon but only in blood…”

Allen’s eyes narrowed dangerously. “I never shared your ambitions. I was never on your side! Thus, how could you call me a traitor? Betraying our kind? You all are the one who decides this kind of farce…don’t lump me in with you, it’s unpleasant.”

Allen’s aura exploded. Even a novice would recognize the killing intent that he gave off, an aura so cold that it gave the illusion of trapping him in an ice cavern.

The old demon couldn’t help but step back in trepidation—his body trembled in fear.

However, this fear turned into humiliation and his anger spiked up. “Absurdity!! Are you really that hell-bent on opposing us?! Your Kind?! For what? For a woman?!” T

he old demon’s sharp gaze turned towards Eerika who was standing behind Allen.

Seeing the old demon’s gaze, Eerika can’t help but tremble in fear. With her power, it was impossible to endure the Old Demon’s soul oppression and her breath turned haggard. However, Allen’s aura immediately enveloped her, causing her to immediately recovered in an instant, her heart warm, like being embraced gently. She glanced at Allen, full of gratitude and love.

The old demon scoffed in disgust and contempt, “This God descendant, if you wanted her, you can have her after this war. In fact, there will be even more slaves you will have after this war ended…! So why are you doing this thankless farce?!”

“Enough…!”

However, just as the Old Demon’s arrogant words faded, Allen’s eyes gleamed dangerously. A sharp and suppressive killing intent, stronger than before flashed past his eyes. It was so strong it made the experts on the scene suck in a breath of cold air and disturbed the calmness in their minds.

As the Old Demon who was quite closer to Allen’s position and was also the direct target of it, he was forced 10 steps back because of this gaze, seemingly flustered!

Cold…like being encased in a millennium age ice…even his souls seemed to have started to frost.

What a terrifying aura?!

The Old Demon was astonished to find that instead of his fighting spirit being reduced or even waver, Allen’s fighting spirit was pumped up instead. His eyes flashed as he looked back at the Old Reptilian Demon. Intense killing intent flood out like a dam exploding and water flooding out.

It takes some time to analyze all of the thoughts that went through his head, but in actuality, they flashed through his head in an instant.

As they did, they transformed into intense killing intent.

This killing intent caused the old demon’s mind to tremble. This was the first time he had ever seen someone staring at him in such a way. In the past, it didn’t matter where he went or which enemy he fought, people would attack him, but never would he find himself shivering like this just by a mere gaze.

Not even Virgil or Mammon would give off such cold murderous intention that seemed to have the ability to encase even his soul and mind in ice.

Such cold power…!

As a bright light descended upon him, as if he was on a spotlight, Allen’s killing intent continued to flicker just as before.

The light brightened dazzlingly, and he lifted his right hand, striking forward. As he did, a translucent throne-like image suddenly appeared behind him.

The Old Demon’s expression changed; blood sprayed from his mouth and he staggered backward. A fierce expression washed over his face, and he waved his right hand out, his body immediately being covered by a crimson-colored light, protecting him from the sudden pressure that had descended on him.

Above Allen, three lightning bolts suddenly shot down. This was not caused by anyone but it’s as if the world was preventing him in doing something, wanting to smite him to death, if possible!

Even Eerika can’t help but cry in shock as she immediately jumped back, staring wide-eyed at Allen. What is going on…? What is this sudden surge of power? She was not the only one who had these kinds of thoughts, whether it was the Godkins, Monsters or Demons, all of them stared and watch Allen in shock and fear.

Such cold energy—it’s as if the world descended into the winter solstice, turning into a world of frost!

Allen laughed.

The smile produced by his laugh was quite childish and innocent looking, but the laughter itself was grating.

“Heavens, you want to stop my arrival? You’re not qualified!!”

The throne behind him shook violently and a snow-white colored light shot towards the sky. A rumbling roar filled the air as it shot toward the three lightning bolts.

The resulting boom shook heaven and earth. The three lightning bolts collapsed into pieces. The sky above even trembled. But the heavens seemed adamant on stopping him as the clouds in the sky above Allen suddenly redoubled, layer after layer.

Within the thick blackness, nine lightning bolts appeared, seemingly congealing the will of the Heavens as they prepared to strike. An aura which seemed powerful enough to destroy all living things suddenly spread out. A look of consternation appeared on the face of Eerika and the other people, who stood off in the distance.

It was at this exact moment, however, that Allen spoke.

His voice was hoarse and bizarrely mesmerizing.

… …
