Chapter 632: [ Are you sitting or not? ]

The sun shone brightly, and a cool breeze was blowing.

On the River of Pureness, a few pleasure boats sailed along in the direction of the wind, sending silky ripples spreading across the river surface.

This was the place close to the found gate towards the 7th layer. The River of Pureness had called a large gathering of adventurers and players who wanted to advance to the 7th layer, making the River of Pureness into a natural gathering zone. Because the Boss Room behind the Gate can only be accessed once a day, many players who were waiting outside the gate was having a ‘picnic’ mood besides the river. And because of the Banquet that has happened not too long ago, even though they came from different worlds, there was a proper and tranquil air unfolding in the vicinity.

There were even people interacting with some other groups, laughing and chatting harmoniously, which was extremely surprising.

Here, Kris Tian’s group was among the crowd as they rest here without worries. This bank in the river was considered a safe zone in this layer, thus attracting gifted players and adventurers from all around, one after another gathering at the riverside of the River of Pureness.

The green willows swayed gently in the breeze, and a tall rectangular stage adorned with red carpets elegantly occupied the best sightseeing spot in the River of Pureness. The stage was decorated with lanterns and colored banners, and below the stage, brocade clothes and flowery robes decorated its surroundings, which were covered densely by fresh flowers.

In the season of Spring, a hundred flowers bloomed.

Thus, many people wanted to call it, the Hundred Flower Gathering!

"Grr!" A low beastly growl was heard, but not many people paid attention to it. After all, beast rearing techniques weren’t rare among the players. There were several Beast Tamers and Beast Masters in the place, savoring the entire surrounding.

"Ronie, from what I had heard the 6th layer Boss is a Four-winged Grand Eagle with several high-level Treants and Serpentine!"

A strong, sturdy man with a bearded face sat on a "Three-Eyed Flame Tiger", which was enveloped in red and white fur, with a thin opening on its forehead and a red ball of flame blazing on its tail. He was asking a youth dressed in a blueish-white dazzling armor and his attitude was unusually respectful.

“Not too hard or too easy, huh…”

The armored youth slowly raised his head, looked at the Gate location, and slightly paused his steps. His expression was exceedingly cold.

"Two teams can advance at once; have you known about the second team that will go together with us?” He replied indifferently and then continued to walk towards the front. The area was bustling with activity. Many armored talents were interacting with each other. Most of them compliment the others’ powers and abilities. They would also look surprised when they fawned over the quality of the beasts they possess.

Other than compliments for their pets and personal power, they complimented armor, weapons; even the hair clip and shoes used. As long as it's anything that can strike a conversation, even the breakfast they had eaten yesterday was made the topic,

“Yes, it’s the Thundercats…”

“Thundercats?” Ronie frowned.

“It’s a B rank group listed in the Guild Charter.”

A B rank group. In the Ninth Mountain where it was called the Home of the Players, there was a Guild established for players to have access on many things, even exchange of information, valuable consumable items as well as precious magical items are carried. Although monsters defeated drop items but it was not practical for players.

Aside from the fact that the drop rate is low, the magical items as well were extremely inferior to the ones seen and bought in the Guild Shop. What’s more, the information obtains as well as magic and combat techniques from the Guild were extremely valuable to many people—thus, all the players and adventurers registered without any fuss.

In the Guild, there was also the Ranking Record; [ Guild Charter ]—a list of top-ranking Guilds(teams) among the players. For additional information, Guilds are ranked from E to S, however, due to how powerful the adventurers in the current generation, there were no Guilds Lower than C rank. Most were C, less than half were B and only a few are those considered to be A ranking Guilds.

However, among these top-ranking Guilds, there was one who is considered the cream of the crop—the mysterious [ DAWN ], which was listed as S rank Guild, sharing the summit with no one.

No one knows what kind of Guild this was or who were the members of this Guild, many speculations occurred but there was no one who could confirm. Some even call this Guild, Phantom—a mysterious group probably that doesn’t really exist and was only there so that no one would be able to obtain the first ranking. But there was also some who had thought otherwise. The Guild is fair, it wouldn’t make such unfair treatment.

…but does [ DAWN ] really existed…?

In any case, a B ranked a group is surely a good group.

The strong man didn’t dare to speak any further. He quickly jumped off the Three-Eyed Flame Tiger and followed behind the finely-armored youth, walking towards the location of their group. Tonight was their Boss Raid, they needed to come up a good plan.

The Three-Eyed Flame Tiger growled in a low voice, then in one leap, jumped on the beast stand at the entrance and lay down softly. Around the Three-Eyed Flame Tiger, many different kinds of fearsome beasts also lay.

The finely-armored youth didn’t walk very quickly and walked directly towards the high stage of the River of Pureness. As he walked, he also looks around the place, seeing the people leisurely spent their time, he could only sigh. If their world is not in such dire state, he would actually want to do the same and relax for a while, savoring this playing time.

On the two people’s destination, he could now see a group of five sitting and doing their own things. Three females and two males, A plump man armed to teeth, at this moment were chatting loudly with another girl dressed in brocade clothes beside him while holding a handful of fruits. Laughing animatedly, he suddenly saw the finely-armored youth and his face instantly turned into a wide smile.

“Brother Ronie, how are things?”

“Prepared.” Ronie nodded indifferently. “How about in your side? Have you stocked a good amount of potions already? There should be no problem, right? We will go tonight,”

“No problem, everything is already prepared. We are only waiting for your news!”

Ronie nodded once again. “We will go with the Thundercat Guild,” he said simply.

“Thundercat? Ah, Sister Lorelei’s group?!”

One of the females who was cleaning her sword carefully as if it was her own child asked, surprised.

“You know them?”

The female nodded her head with a smile. “Sister Lorelei is a good person. We talk for a while in the Banquet and even taught me some swordplay,”

“Hoo,”

After a few discussions, the group members didn’t speak further and instead continued to busy themselves in their own preparation, while some admire the scenery and taste the wine. Right at this moment, a youth whose face was fair and clear, dressed in a yellow brocade robe, with a long red sword at his waist walked smilingly towards them, accompanied by a few armored bodyguards.

"Quick, look, Young Master Fain is here!"

"I heard that this young master Fain is a real prince in his world and he had even soloed a 4th rank Ogre without a problem?”

“The fourth Dungeon Boss, he had soloed it as well, the Illusory Scorpion…!”

“Amazing! One of the thirteen A ranked Guild; Flaming Chariot! What is he doing here?”

“I heard he had a legendary ranked weapon; Flame Edge Sword…”

“A legendary rank…?!”

The players in the vicinity discussed softly among one another, an envious look appearing on each of their faces. A legendary ranked weapon—such item is greatly coveted by many people, strong or weak. One must know, most weapon and item here were only ranked [ Unique ] at most and although there was [ Mythic ] tier weapon, it can only be counted by two hands.

The youth dressed in a yellow brocade robe, Fain Starcloud, heard the discussion around him, and a somewhat delighted expression appeared on his face. Following which, he directly made his way over towards Ronie’s group and lightly bowed at them as a sign of greeting.

"Starcloud Family of Blueworld Star, Fain Starcloud, expresses his fortune in meeting Young Master Ronie Alsain and the members of New Hope Guild!"

“Young Master Fain, what an honor to meet you. Is there something we can help you?” Ronie slowly stood up and smiled.

“Young Master Ronie is direct,” Fain smiled unmeant. His gaze then roam towards the group and suddenly he found who he was looking for, “Actually, I came here for one reason… Miss Kris Tian, have you been well since our last meeting?” he asked.

Hearing his words, Ronie in front of him finally understand what he was here for. Another one who wanted to try their luck~ Thinking like this, Ronie shrugs casually and step aside, sitting on his former seat. As for the other people in the group, they just sit back and watch the show. They know full well what kind of character their precious friend has…

Who cares if you’re a prince?

Even if you’re a King or an Emperor, a mere glance is already miraculous.

However, seeing Ronie stepping aside, Fain smiled happily and walked towards Kris Tian who was sitting on a large rock, quietly reading a book.

“Miss Kris Tian, I have come with a gift, hope you like it,” he muttered politely. However, Kris Tian’s expression was ice cold. Without even taking a look at Fain, she remained seated on the stone boulder and lightly flipped the page of the book on her hands.

Seeing Kris Tian’s attitude, Fain could only smile bitterly, He only shrugs and waved his hand, calling for his bodyguard out. Two people were carrying a large rectangular chest. When it was opened, several pieces of magic items, jewels, weapons, and armors could be seen inside of it. It was dazzling that even the males and females alike in the surrounding can’t help but suck a cold breath—what a wealthy son of a b*tch!

“It’s just a humble regard, I hope you don’t—”

“Please take it back,”

A cold voice rang out. Fain’s words were immediately stuck on his throat.

“No, this, won’t Miss Kris Tian reconsider?”

Tack! Kris Tian closed the book on her hand and turned her gaze at Fain. “Please take it back.”

A light gust of wind blew across. Fain felt a desolate sense of chilliness. Considering his real status, there weren’t many people he had taken the initiative to greet, much less allow him to treat others like this. But, this girl of unknown origin in front of him didn’t even bother to look at him.

This was an indifferent form of disregard, and furthermore, it was in front of so many people. Fain’s expression changed slightly and gripped the sword on his hand. His chest rose a few times, but, ultimately restored the smile on his face.

“Miss Kris Tian, I know that you know what I do feel for you, can’t you give me a chance?”

“No, and there would never be.” Kris Tian frowned. “Please,”

The smile on Fain’s lips cramped.

"Since lady Kris Tian loves peace and quiet, then I shall take my leave! However, I wouldn’t lose heart and give up,"

Fain once again bowed like an aristocrat and smiled. However, when he was about to leave, Kris Tian called out to him, “Please take your things away,” she said indifferently.

Without waiting for a reply, Kris Tian jumped from the stone boulder, dusted her clothes and turned around. She doesn’t want to stay here any longer.

"Oh? Such a good seat with nobody sitting on it? This is really my blessing!"

Right at this moment, a clear voice suddenly rang out from behind Fain who was about to call out to Kris Tian. Fain frowned from being cut off his words and turned around. However, no one noticed that the leaving Kris Tian halted when the voice appeared.

Fain frowned in displeasure as he turned around and saw a black-clothed youth with silver hair and strange red eyes, walking towards them while smiling. Handsome and suave, possessing a casual air and yet also exuding a power that seemed to be looking down on anyone. It’s as if, every people here, no one had registered on his eyes as he moves nonchalantly through the people and towards their location.

Another rival…?

Many people thought as they look at the youth making his way through. Would they actually see a show of two peacocks fluttering their tails today?

However, the black-clothed youth completely ignored the surrounding and walk towards the stone boulder that Kris Tian had sat just now. Seeing this, Fain’s eyes narrowed and expression turned dark. Just as he prepared to act to prevent this, he suddenly realized that there seemed to be no need to do so.

Considering Kris Tian’s personality, don’t tell me she would really allow somebody to sit calmly to the place where she was just at? Isn’t this like flirting at her?

The edges of his mouth curved into a smile. Thinking of Kris Tian’s coldness a moment ago, and thinking that the new person had overestimated his own capabilities, he suddenly felt that watching the tigers fight from the sidelines wasn’t actually a bad choice. Even though he didn’t know whether the new person would be a tiger.

But ultimately, he could still take the opportunity to find out, how much patience this girl, known as the cold Asura among the players, actually had.

"Hey, are you sitting or not? If you are not, please make way!"

Just as Fain became secretly delighted with his thoughts, he felt a burst of strength on his shoulder, then, his entire body was pulled up by this strength and his body leaned back.

Plop! He fell on his buttocks.
