Chapter 229: [ Bakunawa ]

Chapter 229: [ Bakunawa ]

“Let’s go,” Sara said as her eyes narrowed.

Aileen and Jayla grabbed Mireya’s arm and started walking away.

Mayla tried calling them again but before she could say something, a gust of wind appeared and followed by a huge dragon, landing on the ground, while on its hands was a long motionless snake – whether it was dead or alive was unknown.

“The Young Master is waiting in his room.” A deep voice appeared from the Dragon’s mouth.

The Dragon then landed and made Sara and the others climb on its back before flying away, leaving the dumbstruck and astonished people.

... ...

Thoughtless words can kill…

Thoughtless words can shatter bonds…

Words used carelessly, as if they did not matter in any serious way can deal irreparable damage.

Sometimes, people just say something without even thinking the consequences of what it will cause, just to inflate their own egos, showing that they are right and amazing not knowing that they had hurt someone.

We can talk as God gave us mouth but, sometimes, before we open our mouths, we need to work our brains first. As what Anthony Liccione once said, “A fool is made more of a fool when their mouth is more open than their mind.”

Think before you talk, as a slip of the foot may be soon recovered, but that of the tongue perhaps never.

... ...

... ...

As everyone was shaken mentally, Allen was waiting inside his room, playing with the Demon Golem’s Core in his hand; a brown sphere around 5 – 6 inches radius.

This was a good material, better than a Monster Core as it contains unlimited amount of mana since it can absorb mana automatically.

As long as one changed the mana inside it through inputting your own mana, the Demon Golem wouldn’t appear again.

This core is good for an energy source.

As Allen was thinking as to what he could do about the Demon Golem’s Core, at this moment, Sara, Aileen, Mireya, Jayla, and Dakna appeared, passing through the open window.

“Husband!” Mireya called out as she throws herself to his embrace.

Allen caught Mireya and started stroking her head. Mireya pressed her face against his chest as she slowly looked up, her beautiful eyes looking at Allen.

“Did you have fun tonight?” Allen asked, staring at the Sara and the others.

“Quite so,” Aileen grins, not minding the intimate couple in front of her.

Sara shrugs as she started walking towards Allen, sitting beside the two. Jayla, on the other hand, grabbed the chair beside the window and sit. She activated the player plastered in the wall and picks a CD and inputted it on the player.

In a short moment, a beautiful song was playing;

Oooh

We're no strangers to love

You know the rules and so do I

A full commitment's what I'm thinking of

You wouldn't get this from any other guy

Jayla nodded her head in satisfaction as she leaned on the chair. She suddenly noticed the others gazes were directed at her and couldn’t help but chuckle, “Relaxation…?” She muttered.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

Aileen winked at her as she dragged another chair towards her while Allen and Sara shook their head in amusement.

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling

Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up

Never gonna let you down

Never gonna run around and desert you

Never gonna make you cry

Never gonna say goodbye

Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

"Never Gonna Give You Up" It was a song by Rick Astley which was released in 1987. This song was written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman.

While listening to the music, “Sara and Jayla, you two got stronger?” Allen suddenly noticed something. The aura coming from the two women had suddenly changed and seems to have gotten stronger.

“Yep, I leveled up during the battle!” Sara happily announced. “I’m now Lv7,”

“I did as well, Lv5,” Jayla answered proudly.

“Congratulations,” Allen reach out and stroke Sara’s head which please the latter. He then turned at Dakna, “The snake?”

“It’s outside, Master…” Dakna answered respectfully.

Allen nodded, kissed Mireya’s forehead, “Wait for a moment,” and stood up. He then started walking, “Dakna and Draia,” He called.

“What?” A lazy Voice appeared and Draia who was lying on the couch inside the room slowly stood up.

“Come with me.”

“I’m not your servant,” Daria scowled. “Sister,” Dakna pleaded.

“Fine,” Draia sighed helplessly. Although she wasn’t showing it but she actually loves her sister very much.

She was discontented from her becoming Allen’s servant but if it was what she wants then she has nothing to say and let her be. Still, she didn’t want to leave her sister in Allen’s hand alone. That is the reason why she was following them, to guard her sister from Allen, this son of the Devil’s wicked hands.

In a flash, the three people; Allen, Dakna, and Draia appeared in the Garden. There a huge snake was lying, unconscious.

There were many people around, standing not so far away while watching with curiosity and interest.

At first, they were startled and shock to see a Dragon landing in the Garden while bringing a dead or probably unconscious huge monster, even larger than a Titanoboa but then since it transformed into a human while bringing three familiar women, they started getting curious.

Allen walked towards the unconscious Bakunawa. Looking at it closely, it has a red tongue, whiskers, and gills like a fish and two sets of wings. One is large and ash-gray while the other is small and is found further down its body.

In Legend, the Bakunawa wanted to swallow the moon in the sky, causing an eclipse.

During ancient times, Filipinos believe that there are seven moons created by Bathala, the God of the World, to light up the sky. The Bakunawa, amazed by their beauty, would rise from the ocean and swallow the moon's whole, angering Bathala and causing them to be mortal enemies.

To keep the moons from completely being swallowed by the Bakunawa, ancient Filipinos would go out of their homes with pans and pots and would make noise as if celebrating the new year, in order to scare the Bakunawa into spitting out the moon back into the sky and probably hope that it will fall asleep.

There were many legends related to the origin of the Bakunawa – though whether they were real or not is unknown.

Allen crouches forward, reaching his hand and feeling the scaly face of the Bakunawa.

Despite its monstrous appearance, Allen thought that the Bakunawa was extremely beautiful as its dark blue scales, almost similar to his Leviathan form, was shining in the light.

“Wake up, my new friend,” Allen muttered in a very soft voice. His tone was as if he was waking up a child from its sleep. “Wake up,”

There was still no reaction. People even thought that the huge snake was probably already dead, if not for the slightly moving body that seems to be caused by breathing heavily; they would have already assumed it was so.

But Allen didn’t care and still waited patiently.

At this moment, all the Superhumans and several soldiers from the battle that had happened in the City Gates a while ago led by Mayla finally arrived. They were attracted by the crowd and went out to look, only to find Allen with three women and lastly, the huge snake monster; Bakunawa in the center of the garden.

“What is he doing?” one of the Superhuman asked Mayla.

“I don’t know,” Mayla shook her head as she continued to watch Allen. Truthfully, she wanted to approach him and apologize for her subordinates actions and words but since he seems to be quite occupied, she waited patiently.

Then, finally, the Bakunawa twitched and ever so slowly, opened her big eyes revealing the beautiful lapis lazuli gem-like, pupils of the monster. When it saw Allen and the others, it seems to have seen a ghost as it immediately stood up, slithering away.

The sudden movements alarmed the soldiers and Superhumans, after all, this was the garden, and here was the headquarters of the Philippine Army. If it went crazy, many people will surely die and the place will become a mess.

However, Allen seems to be ignorant of their worries as he nonchalantly stepped forward, approaching the frightened Bakunawa.

Shaa!! The Bakunawa let out a threatening cry but it didn’t dare attack the human in front of it. Even now, it can still feel the threatening gaze of the Dragon it fought a while ago and for some reason, it doubled in number!!

“Hey there friend,” Allen greeted with a faint smile and amiable kid-next-door expression. “Mind if we talk a bit?”

The Bakunawa slithered backward, glaring at the seemingly harmless human being and for some reason, the danger it felt coming from the human was much, much stronger than the Dragon a while ago…

How is that possible!!?
