Chapter 413: [ Bet ]

Chapter 413: [ Bet ]

They could swear that they hadn’t blinked even once, and the young lord; Allen had been standing right there without moving an inch from that very spot…

However, Allen had completely changed after that flashing halo of light.

His initial appearance of a handsome amiable and very friendly young man – full of vigor and heroic aura – had surprisingly turned into a demonic handsome youth that seemed to carry an irresistible charm and attraction to even to the same sex. However, contrary to the former, his appearance right now was colder and indifferent more than the former.

His silverish-white color hair that was stained with blood turned shiny once again, as though beautiful flowing clouds. And there were two curved horns at each side of his head, pointing in front. His stature was tall.

A very beautiful, glossy black pair of angelic wings spread on his back. They were like pieces of art from a master artist and sculpture. The silver hair, horns, and fallen angel wings suddenly added a sinister handsomeness to the delicate-looking Allen.

His eyes flickered as his black coat fluttered in the breeze. He was smiling as warmly as the sun, as if trying to pretend that he was the ‘good guy’ from before but, the vibes that were coming from him made people feel that it was more like a cold gale from a desolate forest…

It was like he had grasped the absolute power and authority to kill.

It seemed as if everyone was beneath him. In fact, Allen seemed to be high in the clouds… and overlooking all creation. He seemed like an individual who was standing solitary on a lofty summit — cold and lonesome.

He was released, whether it was intentionally or unintentionally an enormous amount of killing intent that could make even high-level demons tremble.

His current appearance would certainly scared and terrified every people who saw him but for some reason, him, standing there while being suspended in the hair give all the people, especially women, a feeling as if this was beautiful scene had come straight out of some fairy tale.

It certainly differs from the reality.

But not all share the same thoughts.

Lord Rajmud felt a pang of frustration. He couldn’t even speak for a long time.

He had heard about Allen turning into a demon –like existence from the other Elders that had met him first. However, since he had confirmed Allen’s Dragon aura, he and the other Elders had always thought of him as only a Dragon, or a Dragon demi-human and a not a demon.

After all, when transformed into their human form, there were some Dragons who transformed into that of an existence similar to demons due to their horns and bat-like wings. And the most existence that was often being mistaken to was that of Darkness Dragon tribe.

Demons and Dragons… both completely different races and existence.

Dragons can be said to be humanity’s enemies like demons but no one would dare try declaring them as an enemy outrightly. Unlike vile Demons, Dragons are aloof in the mundane world and wouldn’t care about humanity. As long as their tails were not carelessly stepped on, they wouldn’t cause any problem.

And Allen who had a magic power extremely similar to that of the Dragon kind, Dragon eyes, aura, scent and even physique… it was only natural for them to think that he was a real, or at least even a descendant of a Dark Dragon.

But now… seeing it with their own eyes, the Elders might still harbor some doubt but Lord Rajmund would not make the same mistake.

A Demon!!

And not just a normal Demon, he was a very high-level, Fallen Angel! And judging from the color, appearance, and luster of his wings, horns, and markings… he was a pure Fallen Angel!

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"I didn’t hear about this!" Lord Rajmund clenched his teeth, and sucked in a mouthful of cold air as he said, “For the young lord to be a demon –!!”

“We, we also didn’t expect this…” the Elders sucked-in cold air. Their mouths and eyes got crooked in disbelief.

“But –”

“So what if he was a Demon?” As they were talking about each other, an irritated female voice suddenly rang out.

“What?!”

“Lady Eerika, you have known about this?!” Lord Rajmund narrowed his eyes.

“Of course, but so what?” Eerika sneered. “I’ll tell you this beforehand but Sol is not just a mere Demon. And most of all, he isn’t an Ally of the Demons and instead their enemies. He came here to find his brother and end his brother and the demon’s ambition…”

“What can you say to prove that… ey, Lady Eerika?!” Lord Rajmund glared at Eerika.

But Eerika didn’t step back. “Who do you think is protecting this City and fighting alongside you?! Huh, Lord Rajmund?!”

!!? The eyes of Lord Rajmund, as well as most of the Elders, grew wide.

One of the Elders lower lips stammered and was at a loss for words.

Lord Rajmund did not speak. Truthfully, after realizing his real identity, he was not someone they were willing to be grateful to, and it was the truth that he was somehow related to the Demons.

And it was something that can never be let go even after a hundred years.

“Truthfully, I don’t care whatever you think of him or even if you don’t want to acknowledge his effort but, I won’t allow anyone to talk bad about him.” Eerika’s eyes flashed a killing intent, shocking Lord Rajmund, and the other Elders. “If you tried hurting him, then you will be waging war to the Norse Clan…”

“Is this the Norse Clan’s decision or your decision… Lady Eerika?” The moment he had heard the word ‘war’, Lord Rajmund’s eyes flashed a killing intent that was not the least bit inferior to Allen and the pressure almost even caused Eerika to fell down on her knees.

“This is not a joking matter. Declaring ‘war’ among the Clans is a –”

But Eerika held on and glared at Lord Rajmund, “I am not joking!”

She knew this day would come sooner or later. These bastards, just because of his appearance, they were panicking in their hearts, while their minds had gone completely blank, forgetting the past deeds he had for them…

!!? Lord Rajmund’s eyebrow twitched in surprised.

“My mother, the current leader of the Norse Clan, although still unofficial, but she had already given her words. Sol, is the precious Einherjar of the Balder Clan and whoever dared touched him will be declaring war against us…!!”

This claim can really make people go sh*t…

“… …” For a while, Lord Rajmund didn’t know how to respond. If what Eerika said was real then just how is it for a whole clan to declare a war for a single man… well, not really a whole clan since it would be Elena Balder using her position but still… Is this worth it…?

And to give an outsider much less a devil the title Einherjar…

Einherjar, for the Norse Clan, was a very important title bestowed to only a few people. This also meant that the one holding this title was a very important asset for the Clan, at the same time, a powerful warrior that can take the lead whenever the situation or circumstances turned extremely dire.

“How are you sure he is that worth to trust…?”

Eerika’s cold and indifferent face changed into a warm smile typical to a maiden in love. “I don’t need to make sure… what he wanted to do, what he says and desires… I will believe all of them, that was the decision I made during that night when I saw him disappear into the darkness, never to know when will would he return.”

“… …”

“I would never once again doubt him… my mother chooses to bet on this as well,” Eerika smiled. “Well, in any case, after this is over, Sol would not stay for much longer in this place. You can rest assured; Sol would never have interest in this city…” She added as she turned around and walked towards the front, wanting to see the battle much close.

Lord Rajmund can only frown but he didn’t respond.

Eerika took back her gaze from these people and watched the young man who had appeared to be the focus of attention of the entire place.

No matter what other people say, for her, Allen was a Hero.

Using his own strength to turn the tide. This kind of pride was what a man, a hero should have. Eerika pursed her lips up and thought in this manner. After which she quietly moved slightly.

The different types of gazes in the outside world did not affect Allen in the slightest. At the moment, he was completely focused as he stared at the shocked enemies in front of him.

"You, you’re a Demon?!!" Bleeze and the other Demons were gob-smacked. Even Bleeze’s complexion turned deathly pale, and his entire body began to tremble.

“You, you traitor!! Why are you protecting the God Clans!? Aren’t you a Demon!!?”

“Take yourself out of the gutter, trash.” A husky voice that sounded as if trying to suck you in responded. “This king may be a demon but this king is not like you! What you are doing are just normal extinction and destruction…”

“Ancient Demons, those seek destruction and pain is long lost. Even now, there were Demons who desire peace and quiet. But what are all of you trying to do? You are disturbing that very peace we desire!”

… !!?

“And this king won’t let that get away! Just how many lives have you destroyed just to satiate your unending egos? Feeling of superiority…?”

The lives that lost in the previous timeline…

The loved ones and important friends that I had lost…
