He could move the wings… but should he flip it like crazy?
“Okay…I won’t know until I try…”
Allen took a deep breath before closing his eyes. He tried sensing the wings on his back like it was his own limbs.
And true enough, the wings started moving.
At first, they moved awkwardly, but as they became synchronized his wings started moving as one.
"Oh, yeah, I think I’m getting the hang of this..."
Once he said that the muscles in his back started to quickly contract. With that, his wings began to vibrate and he could even hear a humming noise.
"Oh."
Suddenly, his body started to float. His wings madly flapped as he rose slowly until about one meter off the ground.
"Whoa!?"
However, once airborne, Allen lost control and shot up like a rocket.
"Wa...Wa...Wa...Time out! Time out!"
Allen’s body immediately became smaller and smaller, his screams quickly becoming too distant to hear. With the rustling of leaves, he quickly disappeared beyond the distant treetops.
"......"
Silence descended in the forest.
“Gyaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!” but it was immediately covered by a miserable scream breaking the silence of that place and echoed through the endless sky.
The voice was filled with fear and anxiety that it caused all the monsters within the forest cowers in the ground after hearing it.

High up in the air, a distressed looking black clothed youth was flying while flapping the pair of butterfly wings on his back.
A couple of hours have already passed ever since he started his flying session. At first, he crashed on the ground, the trees, the bushes; so many times he could count off. If not for his unique and awesome lightning body, he would have already suffered so many injuries and broken bones.
Even his black parka was already looking a bit worn out.
Fortunately, his hard work finally paid off. With so many trial and error, he could finally control the wings far better than before and could fly properly – albeit, kinda slow unlike the Insect Queen; Alkrasha.
As Allen was flying in the sky, only the sounds of some monster’s roar or birds chirping and the whispers of leaves could be heard, and the morning peace and calm once again returned.
--- ---
It's time to fly out of this forest.
Allen thought as he surveyed the entirety of the forest where he was at. As expected, looking from a high place, the forest is really big, almost never ending.
There were also monsters scattered everywhere, big and small.
"Well let's get out of here!!" Allen whispered.
As his wings fully extended themselves, he kicked off the air, racing toward the horizon. It’s as if there’s an invisible platform in the air when he did it so, and his body slowly accelerated.
His field of vision gradually widened until he saw the entire world under the sky stretched out before him, offering the sense of endless freedom. With additional super enhanced vision from his compounded eyes, he could see everything in every direction, clearly.
This was far greater than his former [ Enhanced Vision ] skill that only literally enhanced his vision, but now he could see clearly, many directions at once.
"Ah..."
Flying toward distant heights, Allen gave a cry of joy. What he felt now was irreplaceable.
He let out a whoop.
Since ancient times, man has had the desire to fly like a bird. They even thought of flying using a piece of metal just to fulfill those dreams.

But in this kind of world, flying isn’t impossible anymore. Even without humongous wings made from steel, they could still fly and wander in the vast sky.
No matter what kind of ability was it to be able to fly, whether it looked like wings of an insect, a cockroach or even wings only made of bones, is not important. As long as one can fly freely as the heart desires would be worth paying any price.
Allen’s slight fuzzy feeling from being crashed a few times was returning as the adrenaline rush faded rapidly allowing him to drop his guard some and freely enjoys the feeling of flying in the sky.
He felt extremely liberated as the wind brushed on his skin.
“Well, flying monsters usually were the only ones enjoying this kind of privilege… though I guess; I’m not the one to say.”
On the other world, Allen was able to fly by equipping his Flying-type tamed beasts, giving him an ability to fly. However, this was only for a short time as it always drained a huge amount of magic power.
And so, although he liked the feeling of flying, Allen refrained from using this kind of ability as much as possible.
Time rolled on, and three days quickly passed, later.
During these times, aside from sleeping and taking a bath in river and swamps, Allen stayed in the sky.
He was now getting used to flying using his butterfly wings, and he could already manipulate them quite easily.
It was the still the usual day. However, just as Allen lost all sense of tension, and continued flying- He suddenly felt a chill crawl on his spine. Allen was startled at first, but he immediately realized that this was his insect senses, sensing danger.
And shortly, from underneath the side by side growth of dark green trees, flashed a point of crimson light.
“Sh*t!”
Allen exclaimed, swinging rapidly to the left. Immediately after, series of gunshots echoed in the surrounding and from the ground, three vicious lines of something shot forth, passing through the gaps left by the leaves of the tree towards him.
Fortunately, he was flying much higher and with his fast reflexes, he managed to avoid it.
There wasn't any time to appreciate how close things’ been, though, as another series of gunshots once again bellowed.
“What the f*ck!” Allen couldn’t help but cursed out while flying in a zigzag fashion, trying to avoid the incoming bullets.
When those angry cursed echoed in the whole forest, the attacking suddenly halted, giving Allen a moment to catch a breath.
“What the F*ck are you doing!? Attacking suddenly, do you want to die!?” Allen’s curses rained from the sky.
He didn’t attack back because he knows that the ones who attacked him weren’t monsters but humans. Only humans would use a gun.
Immediately after, whispers could be heard from the ground. Although it wasn’t clear Allen could roughly guess what they are saying.
They should be discussing me being human…
“I’m a human, you idiots!” Allen cried out as he slowly descended.
When Allen landed on the ground, he couldn’t help but wrinkled his brows. There were more than a dozen of people and by looking at them, it seemed like most of them were soldiers and the rest looked like hunters.
“Nín shìfǒu shì rén?” (Are you a human?)
Mandarin…?
Judging from their Asian looks and language, it seemed like this place was the mainland.
Mainland China, also known as the Chinese mainland or simply the mainland. It is the geopolitical area under the direct jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China (or PRC).
“Nín shìfǒu shì rén?” one of the Asian youth carrying a rifle repeated his question while looking at Allen warily.
“Ya.” Allen ignored their vigilant looks as answered in Mandarin while recalling the wings back.
The people were surprised at Allen who answered in Mandarin.
“Nǐ tīng dé dǒng wǒ shuō shénme ma?” (Do you understand me?)
One Chinese soldier asked. His face colored with surprise.
Allen doesn’t seem to be a Chinese from his appearance and he was just speaking English just now. Although he doesn’t look like an American and his face was a bit Asian, but he was definitely not a Chinese.
“Shì, wǒ tīng dé dǒng.” (Yes, I can understand you.)
“Nǐ huì shuō Zhōngwén ma?” (Do you speak Mandarin?)
“Huì, yī diǎn diǎn.” (Yes, a little.)
Allen answered their question in Mandarin… quite fluently that it surprised the people looking at him.
The [ Dawn Alliance ] was consisted of not only of one race but also with various different races. Filipino, Chinese, Vietnamese, English, Japanese and much more.
As one of the leaders of the [ Dawn Alliance ], Allen learned how to speak different languages… albeit, reluctantly.
Allen was the youngest of the ten kings and leaders of the Alliance. His education attainment was also the least compared to the others. Because of this, Maria who liked looking after people and Mia who possess an IQ higher than the others took the responsibility of looking after Allen.
With Mia and Maria supervising his education, Allen has no choice but to do it. He spends so much effort to learn various things that a normal school couldn’t teach him, just to end the Spartan like teaching immediately.
Because of this, Allen could speak and understand different languages so easily.
Because of his time in [ Dawn Alliance ], even though he was a certified Filipino, he always speaks in English as that was the language used in the Alliance.
It became a habit.
( In Mandarin… )
“Who are you? And why are you here?”
“My surname’s Ye, given name Wushuang, I'm a traveler and I’m just passing here when you suddenly shoot me.” Allen’s voice was sharp.
No one would feel good after being shot.
The soldier felt flabbergasted and looked awkward.
“See, sir…I’m really sorry…” A youth wearing a soldier uniform raised his hand and stepped forward.
“I, I thought that you are a monster…I, I never thought that is actually an esteemed superhuman… I’m sorry.”
The youth around the early twenties bowed his head. It seemed like they know about Superhumans…
Well, that’s not surprising.
“Well, whatever. It’s also good that you are here… now then, could you lead me to the nearest city…”
“Of course, please let us lead you to there.”
Well, they certainly are respectful.
Allen was taken aback by their attitude at him that seemed to be those from a lower rank to a higher rank person.
It seems like Superhumans are being respected here in China.
If you just look at them, possessing supernatural abilities, of course, they would feel either respect or fear and either would raise their status in their eyes.
There were no ordinary humans, anymore. They would surely think like that.
They will become an object to be idolized or to be feared, beings that could protect them or kill them at the same time.
