Turning around, Allen and the others saw four soldiers wearing terrifying expressions while walking towards them.
“Who are you!?” One of the soldiers asked. His voice cold and seemed to be threatening.
“It’s proper manners to introduce yourself before asking others, you know,” Allen replied nonchalantly.
“You bastard! Do you know who we are?!” another soldier raised his voice.
“Don’t just spout a third rate villains lines, it would make every proper Filipino soldier look bad.”
“You bast---”
“Enough Manny.” This time a heavily built soldier spoke. His eyes were serious and stern.
“Hey, is that thing real?” he asked as he looked at the Hecate hanging on Allen’s back.
“That’s not something a kid like you should be playing with. Where did you take it? Did you steal it?”
“Nope, I didn’t. It’s mine, to begin with.”
“Huh? Are you kidding me? You should give it back to us, it’s not somethi---”
“I won’t. Hecate is my partner and I won’t give her up to anyone.”
“What did you say?!” one soldier rushed towards Allen but he was stopped by the man beside him.
He then looked at Allen with an amiable expression.
“Hey kid, come on. You know these are tough times and us soldiers needed weapons to protect people like you. That rifle of yours and the gun that girl is holding, you should better hand it over to us. You can’t use those as well as we can.”
“… …” it was a good speech and it almost made Allen cry. Allen really wanted to raise a thumb up and shout, 'Good one!'.
However,
Allen spread his arms and shrugged his shoulders comically. “No need. I can protect my own life…I think better than what you can do~”
“You little brat! Jerad asked you nicely so stop being so selfish!!”
“Come on kid, just as we are being reasonable. Hand them over to us!”
“… …”
“This brat!!”
After talking, two soldiers immediately walked towards Allen but as soon as they were almost two meters, Flor who was keeping her silence suddenly moved.
Her movements were fast as she stood in front of Allen as if protecting him. Drawing her black sword from the scabbard, she then points it towards the two soldiers.
Her eyes dyed in blood as she looked menacingly at them.
“Drawback,” Flor spoke.
“If you touch this man, I will be forced to kill you.”
She looked serious and… scary…
Allen was taken aback by Flor’s sudden behavior. Not just him, even Aileen and Alicia was similar.
What is wrong with this girl? Don’t tell me she fell for Allen?
She looked like a bodyguard...
Unbeknownst to the group, at this moment, ‘Kill them!’ a voice filled with intense anger was ringing inside Flor’s mind.
“Hey, girl that isn’t a toy, you should put it down.”
Flor ignored the warning and slowly walked forward. Her presence looks menacing to the point that the soldier’s sub consciously pulled their guns.
“What is all this commotion about!?” a loud feminine voice echoed in the whole place.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
The voice caught the other people’s attention and simultaneously looked at the direction where it came from.
Black hair in a ponytail style, khaki colored uniform with coconut sized bust and a model-like figure and face. This girl is hot!
“C, Colonel Flores!” the soldiers immediately saluted to the woman.
The woman looked at them and asked, “What’s happening here?”
“Th-This kid thinks those guns are his own toys. We just wanted to confiscate it!” a soldier answered.
The woman frowned for a moment.
She slowly walked towards Allen.
Allen looked at the woman called Colonel Flores. She’s a colonel so it means she’s higher than Major William.
The woman was a beauty with glamorous black hair that if untie could reach until her waist, capturing brown eyes and a fascinating dynamite body. Her dignified expression made her more than suitable to be called a cool beauty…
She was pretty and had a young face that didn’t make you think she was older than Allen and the rest.
“Mister Allen, I presume?”
“Hm?” Allen’s brows rose up at the unexpected question. She knows them…huh…
“Yes, I am.”
After hearing Allen’s answer, the woman immediately bowed with her hands on her side.
Perfect 90 degrees and what a nice clea- I mean, view~
“I apologize for my subordinates unsightly behaviors.”
The scene caught everyone in surprised. Even the soldiers' jaw hanged as they looked at their superior apologizing to the black clothed youth.
What’s going on here? Whose that youth?
“Nah, its fine. I don’t really care, more like you know me Miss…”
“Ah, sorry for my late introduction. My name is Mayla Flores, Lieutenant Colonel of Camp Leon Kilat! Pleased to meet you, Mister Allen. I heard so much about you from Major William!”
“Oh is that so…” Allen nod.
He then playfully bowed like an aristocrat on medieval movies.
“I heard people often say that a beautiful woman delights the eye… now I know why. It’s my pleasure to meet a beautiful woman such as you, my fair lady.”
Looking at the noble youth, all the people were taken aback. Hitting on the Lt. Colonel…?
“Fufufu you’re just what I heard from Major William.” Lt. Colonel Mayla was also surprised but she held herself pretty well and immediately recovered.
“Oh my, I hope that he didn’t say anything weird, or else I might cry tonight. I might ask for your consolation at that time~” Allen teasingly said.
“Unfortunately, not. I hope my subordinates didn’t offend you. If they did, please forgive them in my favor.”
“Oh, certainly not. I also apologize for my companion’s rash actions; she’s actually a good girl.”
Colonel Mayla smiled bitterly after hearing that. Good girl, huh?
If someone who can radiate a killing intent as intense as her could be considered a 'Good girl' then, this world is surely crazier than she had imagined.
She then turned around and faced the other soldiers.
Her smiling face reverted back and became that of anger. “What are you waiting for!? Go back to your stations!”
““““Y, Yes ma’am!!”””” after saluting, the soldiers immediately turned around and run. They suffer too much shock in one day.
The demon-like colonel was smiling on a youth and treating him with respect!?
Will the world really end today?!
“Anyway, Major William still needed to do something so I will be the one escorting you… is that okay?”
“Of course, that won’t be a problem.”
“Then, let’s go.”
Aileen, Flor, and Alicia were looking at the two in a daze.
It happened so fast, just who the heck is this woman? She’s so chummy-chummy for someone who is just meeting for the first time!
“Uhm…” Alicia tugged Aileen’s shirt.
“That girl, she looked like she was looking at her idol…”
“What?” Aileen was taken aback and couldn't help but stop in her track.
“…You know the skill I got. After using that crystal just like you told me, I started seeing lights around people. Black, blue, green, yellow, pink many kinds of colors. In addition, I kind of know what it meant or something.
For example those, they were covered in black lights. They were feeling fear and grief.
There also those in covered in yellow-green like those people. They indicate sickness and cowardice. Some were sick and some were frightened.” Alicia patiently explained.
“Then you’re saying…”
“That woman just now… though it’s not red, it’s almost light pink. I have the feeling that, that woman feels adoration or something along those lines when looking at Allen. As for the reason, I don’t know…”
“I see, hey what about me? What can you see?” Aileen took interest to Alicia’s ability. It seemed interesting~
“Blue…it’s confidence. You’re radiating with confidence.”
“Is that so?” Aileen seems to like what she had heard as she crosses her arms while nodding.
Her face wore a grin. She seemed to be satisfied with Alicia's answer.
“Then what about that girl?” She points at Flor who was following Allen quietly.
“She’s…black.”
Aileen was slightly taken aback as she asked, “Black?”
“Mystery…In fact, I can’t understand it at all. She was covered by black lights all over, but I can’t feel anything through them…”
“Now that’s worrying…what about Allen?”
Alicia looked at Allen. Her face wore a strange expression.
After a while, she shook her head. “I can’t see anything.”
“What?!” Aileen frowned.
“I can’t see any lights coming from Allen…”
With those words, Aileen couldn’t help but frowned as she looked at the black clothed youth’s back.
There are already many strange things around Allen…now this is included.
The ability to see aura and the feelings around them. It was certainly an interesting ability… but she couldn’t see him?
Allen, what are you?
You are moving too fast. You’re strength; just what stage will it reach?
What did Mia notice?
Allen’s secrets… Aileen’s mind was filled with thoughts.
It was certain that she trusted Allen but at the same time, she just couldn’t help but feel worried.
His actions until now, just like those in school, as if he was walking on a predetermined route. His actions were like in a play, following a script.
It seemed like he knows that the apocalypse is coming. But how?
His ability to perceive and survive through any problems and his strength that is increasing in a very fast pace…
Allen…
