Chapter 109: [ Blue Flames ]

Chapter 109: [ Blue Flames ]

That is right, Allen first tried copying the moment he had climb on its back at the start of the battle, but sadly it failed but who would know the third attempt succeeded. It was when he had caught the bird from falling.

And most importantly, it wasn’t a weak and inferior skill but its strongest skill [ Blue Flames ]!

He was really lucky, not only he had acquired a good monster but also he had managed to copy a very good ability.

Allen raised his hand and concentrated. In an instant, he felt something surging inside his body… mana.

Woosh!

Allen’s hand begun to light up and blue flames started dancing along his fingers. Looking at this blue flame, his face lit up and an ecstatic smile bloomed on it.

“Young master, that’s…” Madam White who was always paying attention at Allen noticed his hand and couldn’t help but exclaimed. This blue flame was very familiar, isn’t this flame similar to that blue bird?

Madam White’s voice attracted the others and their attention turned to Allen.

Beautiful blue flames danced on Allen’s hand, like a precious Lapis Lazuli, the blue flames were more like a precious crystal than a flame. If not for its constant swaying as if it were alive, they wouldn’t think it was a dangerous flame.

“What is that? That looked like the blue bird’s…” Ga Zuquan felt curious.

“Did you copy the blue bird’s ability?” As expected of a master, Gao Butian’s intuition was impressive.

Tang Yu, on the other hand, looked at the blue flame with amazement. She was entranced by its beauty.

“Kind of,” Allen replied with a smile. He moved his fingers and the blue flames run through it.

As if holding something, Allen grabbed the blue flame and throws it towards the nearest tree.

Boom!

A small explosion echoed and the tree started burning instantly!

Watching this incredible scene, Gao father-daughter pairs as well as Tang Yu, all their jaws hung open. A huge tree was burned to a crisp in a matter of seconds, just looking at this anyone could see how destructive that blue flame was.

“Wow,” Gao Zuquan let out a gasp in admiration.

Allen clenched his fist and the blue flame disappeared. He had another power he could use, not only lightning but with this blue flame, he had become stronger once again.

“How did you do that?! Did you have a skill that can steal or copy a skill from other people?” Gao Zuquan asked curiously.

If so, then that skill was really enviable!!

Allen just gave a faint smile and didn’t reply. Skills are something other people treasure and it’s not something they just told to others easily. They were considered trump cards!

The more skills you got the more trump cards you have to use in battle!

Gao Zuquan pouted in annoyance since Allen just ignored her but she just can’t act like a spoiled brat because they were not that ripe yet.

The group continued walking until they found a good place to stop and rest.

--- ---

When night appeared, the snow once again started falling.

Covering the entire forest with blankets of falling snow, it gave off a wonderful scenic view.

It was a bit cold, so Tang Yu and the others started a fire using dry wooden branches.

Leaning at Madam White’s body which was coiling around him, Allen stared up at the snowflakes falling from the sky. His heart was very peaceful.

The snow settled on top of his body, but Allen didn’t notice it at all. He was originally impervious to the cold because of his unique body constitution but now with the additional blue flames that seemed to be constantly burning inside of him, Allen has never been comfortable in cold like this.

Right now, Allen was in an excellent mood.

“Hey, brother Ye, have some wine.” Gao Butian walked towards Allen and warmly offered.

The way he called Allen also changes. This signifies that he had seen Allen not as a younger generation but as an equal or maybe even higher.

Allen’s power and ability already made him look at Allen in high esteem!

“Thanks.” Allen accepted the jar and took a large gulp. Although he was still considered to be a minor but still, he was a person that had lived two lives. Drinking alcohol isn’t something new.

A warm current flowed through his throat and then to his stomach. It was sweet at the same time a bit strong.

Crackle! Crackle! The sound of woods burning could be heard, and Allen lay back on Madam White, while at the same time enjoying the strong liquor.

Under the glow of the campfire, Allen’s face was half-lit, half-shadowed. The smell of something being roasted wafted the air. Tang Yu and Gao Zuquan was roasting some meat and mushroom.

After a short moment, Tang Yu stood up and slowly walked towards Allen. She was holding barbecued meat; one seemed overcooked while the other was slightly better. Tang Yu gave Allen the latter while she took the former.

“Thanks,” Allen said his thanks before started eating.

Tang Yu silently sat beside Allen, scooted closer and before started eating her meat.

“Brother Ye, what will you do next?” Gao Butian who was sitting not far away from Allen asked as soon as he finished eating. “Are you going straight to the capital?”

The red flame lit up Allen’s face. “Probably.”

“What are you going to do there? The Capital is a bit chaotic right now. Although the Capital was under the government’s rule, however, all the different Martial Sect started appearing one after another, walking and behaving like kings. You will only find trouble if you go there~”

“Hm, I’m going to meet some old friends and since I’m there I’ll just settle some things on the way.”

“Settle some things?” Gao Zuquan asked.

“Yeah, in any case, the capital is just a shortstop. After I finished doing what I needed, I will leave.”

“So you’re not going to stay there?”

“Un,” After replying, Allen didn’t speak anymore and just leaned at Madam White while closing his eyes.

Seeing Allen didn’t have any intention to talk, Gao Butian and Gao Zuquan also started preparing to sleep while Tang Yu lied beside Allen and hugged his waist. Her movements were natural as if she has done this numerous times.

These actions fell to the Gao Father-daughter pair’s eyes but they didn’t say anything.

The group didn’t need someone to watch for the night; in the first place, apart from Allen, Madam White was present. Even if she’s sleeping, she would still be able to notice if something happened in the surroundings.

Time passed.

--- ---

In the middle of the night, Liu Muxiao was walking along the silent but dark alley.

Completely unlike the bustle of the day, the nights were silent as death.

The whole city during the night had an especially bad public order that even the guards wouldn’t be wondering there if they didn’t have any business. Martial artists who stayed inside the city often look for trouble or a fight, wanting to proclaim their power like elementary children competing as who’s little brother is longer~

Not to mention, because of the destruction of the electrical facilities and towers, none of the streetlights were lit, making the moonlight the only light source in the night.

Liu Muxiao was walking in that kind of place, a street covered by darkness as if it was hiding something.

Finally, she arrived at her destination. And there, in front of her were several people, hacked to pieces and going cold, laying in a pool of their own blood.

The corpses have been cut viciously. Something that looks like a giblet is even coming out from some corpses……

If a normal person saw this scene, they would certainly vomit out the thing inside their stomach on the spot.

But Liu Muxiao was different. She didn’t even bat an eye after seeing the horrible carnage in front of her.

“—as usual, you really do have a nasty hobby, Sun Lingling.” Liu Muxiao looked at the corpses and then towards a dark alley between two buildings.

“Why don’t you come out, I know that you’re still here.” Liu Muxiao stared at the darkness while muttering indifferently.

At this moment, a woman covered by black from head to toe, with her right hand holding a black sword, walked out from the dark alley, as if she just appearing from the night, and quietly approached Liu Muxiao.

“Who are you?” the black clothed figure asked with a cold tone.

“I am Liu Muxiao, a disciple of Heavenly Cloud Mountain Sect.”

“Oh, it isn’t the princess…” the black clothed figure called out. She seems to realize Liu Muxiao’s identity after hearing her name.

“What are you doing here? I think it’s a little late for a sheltered princess to be out in the city… especially a killer might happen to pass by.”

“Sun Lingling, no need to pretend. Since I know your name, of course, I also know what you have been doing all this time… [ Blood Ghost ].”

Hearing those words, Sun Lingling atmosphere instantly coagulated as if there were dark shadows swirling around her.

Swoosh! A gust of chilly wind passed by.

Sun Lingling raised her hand that was holding the black sword and aimed it at Liu Muxiao.

“I have intended to do it later but princess, it seems like you have reached the end of your path. Why don’t I use your blood to mark my path instead?” the black clothed figure; Sun Lingling stared at Liu Muxiao, a surge of an aura of battle-lust erupting forth from her.

“Do you really want to kill me?” Liu Muxiao wasn’t fazed by Sun Lingling’s killing aura and instead under her silk covered face, she was smiling.

“Do you know what would happen to you if you kill me?”

“What? Do you want to say that I feared your Heavenly Cloud Mountain Sect? Laughable!” Liu Muxiao’s words caused Sun Lingling to be unable to control her laughter. She laughed so hard that tears started appearing in the corner of her eyes.

“I never thought that the princess of the famous Heavenly Cloud Mountain Sect also knows how to joke…”

“Sun Lingling, I’m not talking about the Heavenly Cloud Mountain Sect but, about Allen’s reaction if he knows that you have killed me. Can you still go back to his side after killing me?”

Sun Lingling frowned. “Allen, Ye Wushuang… Liu Muxiao, don’t you dare use the name of my master so casually or else I will cut your head right this instant!”

“As expected, you also regained your memories. Unfortunately, Xue Ling never did… I wonder why.” Liu Muxiao ignored Sun Lingling’s threat and spoke her thoughts aloud.

“Liu Muxiao, Lady Xue Ling, did you met her?”

“I did, but unfortunately she has no memories of you, me or Allen. I wonder, did God also send you here?”

“… That’s none of your concern.” Sun Lingling spoke with a cold tone. “Seeing that we are acquaintances from the previous world, I will forgive you for using master’s name but there’s no second time. If you carelessly utter his name in front of me, I will rip your life away, remember that, Liu Muxiao!”

“You still resent me, didn’t you?” Liu Muxiao said with a somewhat helpless tone. “Is that also the reason why you started hunting every disciple of the different martial sect? Revenge for what happened in the previous life?”

“Liu Muxiao, don’t act like you're innocent. Killing me and Lady Xue Ling, do you think that I would forgive you and those scumbags who think that they had owned the world?” Sun Lingling swung her sword in anger.

“What about the sufferings you have given to us by your beloved Heavenly Cloud Mountain Sect? Did you really think I would forget all those grievances?”

Liu Muxiao paused for a moment, then she started; “First of all, I didn’t kill you and Xue Ling! Second, I didn’t participate in chasing all of you down and I even tried to stop my father from doing any actions against Allen.”

“Lies!!” Sun Lingling roared in anger. “You as the Holy Maiden of the Heavenly Cloud Mountain Sect, tried helping us? Impossible! Didn’t you also participate in that one battle? You even fought with master and you said you didn’t participate? If you want to lie, do it to some naïve little kids who don’t know anything!”

“I fought Allen because I couldn’t stop the battle! Didn’t you even saw me, pushing Allen away when my father suddenly appeared and tried to stab him? I was fighting him so that I can protect him!!”

Sun Lingling was dumbstruck. Indeed, she had seen that happening but she just ignores it since she couldn’t think of any reason as to why would Liu Muxiao help them. “Lies! You’re lying!! Why would you help us when your family and sect wanted to kill us? That’s not possible!!”

“That’s…” Hearing Sun Lingling’s question, Liu Muxiao couldn’t help but become silent. For some reason, she was hesitating on something.

“See, you don’t have any reason! So don’t lie in front of me or I will really kill---” seeing that Liu Muxiao couldn’t answer, Sun Lingling snorted but before she could finish what she was saying, she suddenly heard Liu Muxiao, making her eyes hidden behind the black silk widened in surprise.

“Because Allen was the father of my child!” Liu Muxiao muttered under her breath.

The night was silent and there was no any kind of noise, so even though Liu Muxiao lowered her voice, Sun Lingling could still hear her clearly. But this unexpected answer, made Sun Lingling felt dumb.

“What, what did you say?!”

Liu Muxiao sighed. With a trembling voice, she answered, “Allen, was the father of my daughter.”

“Im-Impossible!!” Sun Lingling lost her reason and yelled in a very loud voice. She couldn’t believe what she just said and even wondered if she had heard it wrong. “You have a daughter?! Allen was the father?! That’s impossible!! Even if it’s a joke, don’t you ever dare say those kinds of lies to me!!”

Sun Lingling swung her sword and a transparent blade-like wind came out from the sword’s edge, striking a nearby wall, creating a huge crack!

This was the tasteless joke she had ever heard. And she was angry about it!

“Do you really want to die, Liu Muxiao?!” Sun Lingling roared in madness. Behind them, she can hear some shouting and scream as well as there was some kind of people anxiously running towards them. Surely, they were the guards and police doing their night patrols. But Sun Lingling and Liu Muxiao ignored them.

“I didn’t lie, what I said is real.” Liu Muxiao helplessly sighed.

“You are still saying that?!”

“Sun Lingling, do you really think that I’m the kind of woman to lie about something like this?”

Liu Muxiao’s words stump Sun Lingling. Certainly, this claim could make a woman lose their pure reputation. It would question their pureness and chastity…

For someone who was renowned as the Holy Maiden of the Heavenly Cloud Mountain Sect, if someone knows this, she wouldn’t only bring shame to herself but also to her sect and family!

This isn’t something to be uttered carelessly!

But, are Liu Muxiao’s words really true?

Sun Lingling couldn’t believe it.

“Does master know of this?” Sun Lingling asked.

Liu Muxiao shook her head. “He didn’t, more like he couldn’t remember. When Allen and I met inside a forest, we were trapped inside an illusion created by a *Daji. What’s more troublesome is that it was a lustful fox demon! When we're trapped Allen and I was poisoned by a very strong aphrodisiac… and that was when it happened. Allen was still holding out but I already couldn’t… the Daji was tempting me to do it and in the end, I couldn’t withstand the temptation and pushed him down.”

Liu Muxiao’s voice become even fainter and anyone could feel the sadness emitting from her. “… after that, things went well, Allen woke up and managed to kill the Daji. Allen swore to take responsibility but who would expect, the Daji was still alive and with its last bit of power, she put a curse on Allen, as someone who had killed her. A curse that would make Allen forgets about me and never able to remember me…”

Sun Lingling’s entire body trembled. She couldn’t believe Liu Muxiao, but if what she said was real then… isn’t she extremely pitiful?

At this moment, a group of people wearing uniforms and holding guns came and encircled the two women. They were screaming about surrendering and putting hands on the back of your head or something along those lines but Sun Lingling could care less.
