“Gggyaa!?”
“Gruaaaa!?”
“W-wha………!!?”
Lightning poured down, ripping up the ground. The blast sent the monsters and humans alike flying away.
Just like a cascade from a waterfall, the debris and shattered stones rained down after the initial explosion that blasted them away.
When the clouds of dust and dirt finally settled, every people finally spotted a black clothed young man standing in the center of a large crater.
A completely normal looking youth wearing black pants, a short-sleeved T-shirt with printed neon painted skull, a black fur lined parka and black fingerless gloves covering his hands.
He looked slender but physically fit, with toned muscles not normally seen on average boys of his age.
The youth was very normal no matter what angle you looked at him, if not for the zapping sound of golden sparks echoing the whole place.
Rather than a stun gun, as shiny black hair swayed, sparks flew from it like an electrode.
The moment a plastic bag in the wind passed by his head, it was blown away by golden sparks reminiscent of an interception device.
“How unsightly…you people are so unsightly.” The black clothed young man murmured as he looked at the scene.
Is this what he wanted to protect…?
Men, women and even children groaning and crying in the ground with shoe prints on their faces and clothes.
Such scene, who would feel delighted…?
Right after hearing youth’s words, all of the surrounding people went silent.
Looks of shock and astonishment, as well as fear, appeared on everyone’s faces as they watched the impassive face of youth standing nonchalantly in the night.
“Graaaah!!” A monster emerged from the darkness and jumped towards Allen.
Looking at the monster, Allen found it familiar.
It resembles a hornless goat with a pair of very large ears, gray colored fur, and large beaded crimson eyes. It looked like a wild animal with a size of a small bear and a row of spines embedded from neck to tail.
It was jumping at Allen backward with its head lowered between its hind legs and with its butt facing Allen, it emits a very nauseating smell.
A [ Sigbin ].
It was an infamous monster in Philippine Mythology.
“A Lv3 native monster…”
A native monster is monsters originated from the same land it was seen and it where it originated.
Normally, they birthed from the myths and legends made by the people living on a particular land where they stayed.
“Kyaa!?”
"Look out!”
Anxious screams resounded from the background but Allen ignored it as he raised his hands in front of his chest.
In his hand was a Beretta 92 pointing mercilessly at the incoming monster.
Bang!
A single sound and yet if one looks closely, at the monster’s belly, two bloody holes could be seen as it fell on the ground.

It was still alive, squirming like a pig being butchered. The monster turned its head and saw Allen nonchalantly walking towards it and was too terrified it started crawling away in fear.
Gryaaahh!!
It growled at him but it wasn’t threatening but more like pleading for its life. Its eyes were moist as it crawled away while looking at Allen.
“Quiet.”
Groo… the monster immediately obeyed but its body was still trembling; probably due to fear or pain.
It really looked pitiful (;一_一)
Damn it! Why did it look so… cute!?
“Oi!”
Grooaa!!
“If you don’t want to die then submit to me!”
Ignoring the bewildered background, Allen told the monster.
The monster seemed to understand that it was being pardoned as it looked quietly at Allen for a moment.
Groaa! It growled towards him. It wasn’t threatening but instead, it seemed to be saying something.
Allen seemed to feel that the monster was asking if he really meant it.
[ Monster Empathy ] one of the Lord class [ Monster King ]’s innate ability. It was an ability to sense and understand the emotions of monsters and vice versa.
Using this ability, Allen managed to successfully create an empathy link between him and the monster.
Although he was still not on the stage where he can influence others but through this link, he could sense, feel and understand the emotions, feelings, hopes, dreams, desires, and fears of the counterpart. And that is the monster.
Allen grinned. Extending his arms, he pointed it towards the monster. “[ I’m the monster king. All monsters shall submit to my will! ]
Grooaaarrr!
The moment the monster [ Sigbin ] growled in response, it was then covered by a golden light.
Crackle! Crackle!
And then, when this golden light subsided, it was then replaced by sparks of lightning, crackling like playful snakes where it lasted for a whole minute before it finally disappeared.
The originally gray colored fur was now dyed silver with several golden lightning marks that looked like tiger stripes.
The two bullet holes it once had had now disappeared as it slowly stood up and walked backwards towards Allen. The moment it arrived at Allen’s feet, it immediately rubbed its head affectionately.
‘My.. …Lord’ Allen heard a voice.
It was hard to find out whether it was male or female… though it was not necessary.
With one of [ Monster King ]’s innate skill [ Monster Telepathy ], Allen could telepathically read the minds of monsters tamed by him and communicate with them. He was also capable to control the minds of the monsters to do his bidding.
Allen nodded his head.
Another part of his ‘Family’.
As of now, there are already three monsters he officially tamed; [ Lightning Mouse ], [ Titan Ape ] and the new kid, [ Sigbin ].
“Allen……”
Suddenly, a voice called out to Allen after taming the [ Sigbin ].
The one who called out was Aileen with her expression strangely tense.
Beside her were Flor and Alicia who was also looking at him curiously and Lt. Colonel whose face displayed a shock expression.
All of their expression was looking at the monster rubbing affectionately at Allen’s feet as if it was a dog or a cat.
“That…” Aileen pointed at the [ Sigbin ].
This was natural.
Although she knows that Allen has a tamed monster [ Lightning Mouse ] but she didn’t know that Allen could tame a terrifying monster like the [ Sigbin ].
In the first place, the [ Lightning Mouse ] was a very cute monster that seemed very harmless so maybe Allen managed to tame it because of its docile nature…
But a [ Sigbin ]? A horrifying monster that just now was happily killing people…?
That would be impossible…or that should’ve been but Allen managed to easily tame a monster like that. What’s going on here?
“It’s fine now… it’s harmless~” Allen smiled.
However, for the people who were watching Allen just now, this smile seems to be scary… for some reason.
The place which was filled with terrifying monsters that killed and massacred everyone, including the soldiers was now reduced to nothing but a crater.
Blood and Gore could be seen in every corner.
This was the happening that occurred in slightly less than a minute.
And the cause of this was a single existence…
Enveloped by darkness, the existence of a black clothed youth at the very center of the crater, with the helm of his black parka fluttering like wings, standing together with that very monster that killed their brethren caused not awe or amazement but instead… fear.
That is right.
Many looks of terror were directed at Allen.
Those who were directing such looks at him were exactly the soldiers and civilians whose lives were supposed to be just saved by him.
But this was natural.
Humans tend to fear the unknowns.
They hated and feared that something which they don’t understand.
Allen possessing a superpower that could control electricity, wipe out a group of monsters in one move and could even tame a terrifying monster like the [ Sigbin ] was that very such existence.
To fear the existence that transcends your understanding is the correct reaction as a living being after all.
That was exactly why they were scared.
Unknown like him was a suspicious character.
He might be a monster himself!
There was no way an existence that could freely control a terrifying monster could be someone upright.
He wasn’t a normal human!
That was what they thought.
That was why Allen ignored them.
With all those years of fighting alone in his previous world already steeled his mentality. He never needed admiration from strangers…all that was important is for him to do what he needed and wanted to do.
That is his code!
“Lt. Colonel Mayla, I leave this place to you.” Without waiting for a reply, Allen transformed into lightning and disappeared.
