Chapter 622: [Hero]
“What?”
The old demon was startled and his eyes widened in shock from Allen’s sudden response.
Allen grinned, and with a mocking expression, he continued; “This is the only thing that we and ‘that’ fellow completely agreed on. Although I am a demon, I also have a heart, only our ways are what was different. And we surprisingly think alike—”
“…??”
Allen scowled. “Just like ‘him’ I think…what you’re going after is just a pathetic, old-fashioned delusion.”
“You understand our intention and yet you still choose to oppose us? You’re acting inappropriately towards others.” The Old Demon cried out.
“As if you perverts, who wanted to slaughter even those innocent children and women, have any right to say that.” Allen snorted.
“Hmph! Even if these innocent souls bear no sin, their existence, bearing the blood of hateful Gods, is defiance that must perish!” The Old Demon growled angrily. “And you, who couldn’t accept our dream and deny our longing, will be considered an enemy of the entire Legion—if you insist on obstructing our path, you will perish as a wicked traitor of the history of the Demon Legion!!”
“Wicked Traitor?” Allen smiled wryly. “I have long been branded by such title…” he muttered with a faint smile as he looks at the sky. Helplessness and bitterness could be seen flashing on his eyes.
“Then so be it! Perish in the name of our long-awaited dream—[Thunderfiend]!!”
The Old Demon called out and a large giant appeared inside the light birdcage, descending from the heavens. It’s entirely made up of Lightning and plasma.
GrroooOOOwwwWWWllLL—!! the giant [Thunderfiend] raised its arm and smashed its first towards Allen.
In just one punch, the anti-magic shield was broken in an instant. Pieces of broken glass like things started falling from the sky like an egg cracked open. The glass-like pieces of Allen’s anti-magic barrier slowly disintegrate into light the moment it touched the ground.
“Ha ha ha haha,”
The Old Demon laughed hysterically as he watched the anti-magic shield broken into dozen pieces.
“How’s that!!? Incredible isn’t it?! Be honored that you will die under this grand power!!”
As he was speaking, the giant lightning fiend once again raised its arm high and bombarded Allen’s figure with a barrage of fists.
A series of explosion rang out as the area was covered by clouds of dust and smoke.
“Sol!!” Eerika cried out in panic.
She somersaulted in the air and swung the spear on her hand, killing three to four demons that blocked her path. Then, her body glowed in golden light and even her eyes gleamed like a pair of suns—BooommmM!! grain-like golden lights shot out from her body, killing enemies around her.
“Gah—?!”
However, when she arrived at the boundary of the Lightning Field, she was blown away by the shockwave from the lightning bolt connected on the ground. Eerika gritted her teeth, flipped her body and stabilize herself in mid-air.
“SOLLL!!!” she called out frantically and full of anxiety. But there was no response. Gritting her pearl-white teeth, she then once again charged like a madman, killing those who appeared in front of her.
Within the lightning cage, the Old Demon was still laughing madly while continuously raining down lightning along with the lightning fiend at Allen.
“Oi, you really never learned.”
As he was gloating on his power, assured of his victory, a leisurely voice echoed within the cage.
“…huh?!”
The Old Demon’s body shivered when he had heard the voice. He violently raised his head, only to see the lightning fiend’s arm was already severed from the elbow when it pulled its arm back.
“What is—?!”
“You call this thing…Domain…?”
BaaannnggG!! a deafening explosion rang out and the lightning fiend’s chest was blown away, creating a large hole in its chest. The Lightning Fiend stumbled backward and fell on the ground. The smoke and smog were also blown away by the strike, revealing Allen’s petite figure.
The Old Demon couldn’t believe it, he started stammering and stepping back in fear.
“You sure have a hard head not understanding things were…” Allen muttered with great gravity. "Electricity won't work on me. But that only means I can tolerate it. It still hurts. And sure it doesn't make me happy." he said simply. “…And congratulations, now you really pissed me off…!”
BooooOOOmmmMMM!!
Allen swung the [ Frostmourne ] and a large arc of pale bluish-white light emitting a cold chill swept through the area.
CRACK!! BAAANG!! the cage of lightning was destroyed in an instant!
The Old Demon’s expression paled and he vomited blood.
Wooosh.
“What is this—?!!”
The Old Demon’s expression greatly distorted and fear crept into his heart when suddenly he found himself in an unfamiliar place. A clearing full of swords stabbed in the ground appeared in his view. In that instant, the area turned into a winter wonderland!
From the sky, snowflakes fall seemingly endless and the wind the blows were biting cold.
Allen’s very own Domain—a bit different from the original.
“Where… is this?!”
You could be reading stolen content. Head to Royal Road for the genuine story.
The Old Demon’s heart was full of restlessness.
“This is a real Domain…” Allen’s voice appeared. “You are, well can be considered a pseudo-Duke Class for able to at least lay down your foundations. But too bad, against a real Mid God, it’s not yet enough. You are just like a clown, dancing comically.”
“How dare you—!!”
“I dare, what? Bite me?” Allen smirks. “Pulling the opponent into your own domain and forcing a home front battle where you are advantageous, that’s how Mid Gods and Duke Class Demons fight!”
“… …”
“But you… you are yet to understand what being a Mid God, no…being a Duke Demon truly is…”
“Real power in the Demon Legion… indeed starts in being a Marquis. However, they are nothing but weak pawns. The real power in the Legion starts, from Duke, Prince, the Four Heavenly Kings, and lastly…being the King of Demons, Emperor of Hell…!”
Allen muttered as he shrugged his shoulders, his eyes flashing a mocking expression.
“And you… a pitiful Marquis dared to scold and humiliate one of the Princes…? Just because you are great doesn’t mean you are strong… seriously, why did Mammon put you in front? Does he really want to win this war? Or was it because lacking in manpower…” Allen chuckled in amusement.
“SHUT UP!! You traitor, you don’t have the right to say his Excellency’s name so casually!!”
“Oh really? Just mere Mammon? Even if it’s Lucifer, he would not mind me calling his name so casually.”
“Wha—just who are you?!”
The Old Demon’s face instantly changed. His finger pointing at Allen was shivering.
“Have you still not realized who I am?”
“…?!”
“….Well, not like you need to know it. After all, there’s no point since you would die in any case…”
Allen’s lips curled upwards but his eyes weren’t the least bit smiling. He spoke in a cold tone, his expression cold as though he was in an incomparably lofty position. His voice when heard would make one believe as though whatever he said was a matter of fact!
Allen laughed softly. He then slowly lifted his head and looked coldly at the Old Demon, who was looking pale. Allen’s eyes were burning with a snow-white flame. He stomped his feet and the white-colored flame raged. He then disappeared into thin air.
A voice rang out as he disappeared into the flame that had swirled out.
"It is time to end this fight.”
Allen coldly looked at the Old Demon, as though he was gazing at empty air, without the slightest emotions.
The Old Demon was shocked and moved back aggressively.
Swish.
A palm that was burning with snow white-colored flame pierced through space and caught the Old Demon by the throat.
“…regret in the abyss that you had angered me!”
In that instant, the old demon knew he fucked up!
The gap was obvious!
"This is impossible!"
He can only covered his left chest and stared at the space where Allen had disappeared in disbelief. Other than fear in his eyes, there was also humiliation.
He has always been prideful and dominating. He was certain that he has achieved all there has to be achieved as a Marquis level in the Demon Legion. Out of all the Marquis level Demon Experts in the Legion, nobody was worthy enough to be his opponent. However, he has been defeated by so easily at that. This filled his heart with shock and disbelief.
It was obvious that he really was capable, as he easily defeated countless Marquis Demon Experts to reign on the top.
He was even capable of standing toe to toe on many God Clan Experts, including the War God; Eric Thor. However, compared to the Monster before him, he was lacking. Especially when up against an enraged Allen.
Right now, his heart was filled with regret. He hated himself for provoking this monster. He should have let the others test the water and escape when things become messy. However—
It was useless to say anything now.
It is too late to say anything now.
Before he could react, the last thing he saw was a black coat and long hair swaying in the wind…

“Light Annihilation!”
“Sweeping hope, Vanquishing Light!”
Every move that Eerika made was a wide-range attack. With the glowing chain of mass destruction on the spear end, the Blue Star Destroyer Spear was like a Flood Dragon diving in a sea of blood. Wherever it went, blood would rain!
Within the chaotic rush of clashing forces, the spear was absolutely the best weapon!
Of course, the requirement was to have an incomparably thick magical power and endurance in order to support such terrifying killing speeds!
—But these were two aspects that were no problem for Eerika; she lacks anything but not them! Her blood vitality was potent, and every breath she breathed out formed large snakes in the air that lingered on.
“Die damn it! Don’t you dare block my path!!!”
Eerika gripped the glowing crimson chain, the spear point drawing a huge half-moon arc. Blood spattered all over her, covering her entire body in deep crimson shade. The veins of her body bulged out, just like twisted scarlet earthworms as she desperately rushed towards the black dome-like thing that seemed to be covered by dark thick clouds swirling around like a thunderstorm!
What is happening there?!
Why did the thunder and lightning stop and disappeared…only to be replaced by thick dome-like clouds?
Is my Sol, alright?!
Sol…please, please be safe…!!
“…I said leave me aloneeeee!!!”
Eerika cried out in anger and anxiety as she rushed towards the sea of demons and monsters.
Puff puff puff! The other Asgardians, especially those the same age as Eerika took the latter as the spearpoint and courageously slaughtered their way forward. Within hundred to two hundred feet of Eerika, vicious demonic beasts and demons were simply unable to approach. Once they did, they were completely destroyed by the spear light!
Eerika’s anger was burning up. Her messy golden hair was crazily hanging down her back and her body was still releasing heavenly lights and blinding those who dared to look directly at it. Rays of golden light draped down.
Eerika has certainly become anxious, the more she does so, the greater her power becomes. She bravely shot towards the horde of demons and monsters without caring about her surroundings. Even if there was an occasional third-level and fourth-level vicious demonic beasts that appeared, it was still no exception. It would be just like an ordinary vicious beast, instantly slaughtered by Eerika due to her fury!
“This is too fierce! When did Eerika become so strong?”
“The enemies that she has killed by herself are more than the rest of us combined!”
Alva’s current was just enough to reach the peak of the Emperor Realm and breaking through the Lesser Deity Realm is already at hand due to this war, and she also fought with a sword, so her killing speed was not up to par compared to other geniuses of the clan such as her brother Troy, Fell, Harold and several outstanding youths of the Norse Clan.
As she saw Eerika rush into the depths of a pack of vicious beasts and demons, and be no different than a tiger within a flock of sheep, she couldn’t help but envy.
“This is love…” Mair muttered with a wry smile of amusement. She watches Eerika’s figure rushing desperately towards the dome-like thing covered by thick thunderclouds.
Although the current Eerika’s appearance was currently a mess, and her expression full of anguish, worry, anxiety and other complicated emotions—but in her eyes, she was sparkling for some unknown reason…obviously, other than the golden light emitting from her body due to her powers.
“Love…huh,” Alva smiled bitterly.
Such thing actually never appeared in their minds up until now. After all, they are the golden generation of the Great Norse Clan, with hopes and dreams bearing on their shoulders. Their fame and prestige even spread through other neighboring clans—and such, things like love was far-fetched for them.
Of course, other than those men who possess two brains in their bodies.
As for most women standing in the summit of admiration and worship, they are aloof and cold in this kind of worldly affairs. Even the outstanding men in their generation couldn’t appear in their eyes, what says other people?
Their visions and standards are just too damn high… it broke many hearts~
…however, surprisingly, the one standing in the most peak of such mountain, the always callous and cold in this aspect of maidenhood and seemed to be the farthest in the makings of such type of affection, was actually the very first one to fell—and was now even, probably, already a V.I.P among the foolish ‘Can’t-live-without-him’ type of hopeless women in love, giving no other opportunity for other men to try and brave the stormy sea…
“…I guess that’s just how huge the charm of that monster possesses…”
Alva sighs as she sent another sword wave, killing a bunch of enemies in front of her.
“You’re saying as if you are also not moved…” Mair smiled impishly.
“Don’t speak in a venture, Mair! I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Alva glared at Mair.
“Oh really… but did you forget, there is nothing my eyes can’t see…”
“Shut up!” Alva scowled and she angrily cried out. “Disgusting as always. Besides, I’m not the same as that girl… even if you ask other people, probably you, yourself as well—admiration and fear, it’s impossible for someone to not feel something like that when he brazenly displays such difference between him and us…!”
“… …” Mair smiled meaningfully. “…probably…”
… …
