Chapter 369: [ Intense battle against the Mummy Lord (2) ]
The Mummy Lord’s attack seems to be kinda simple and weak but experts would certainly know that this seemingly simple attack was carrying a terrifying power.
In fact, one could even feel the weight carried by the strike in a meter distance, but Allen stood still without even flinching. All his thoughts stayed in what the Mummy Lord had said, I think I was given a similar warning before…
Just when the strike reached the peak of its strength, its momentum ceased as Ebony returned back into Rebellion and blocked the strike.
“I don’t have anything to show to you. I don’t believe in fate!” Allen pushed Rebellion and sent the Mummy Lord staggering a few steps back.
Purple aura started to build up around the Mummy Lord, its eyes locked onto Allen like a stalking lion ready to pounce on its prey.
At this very moment, the Mummy Lord had suddenly given up all defenses and went almost berserk in the offense. In most cases, this kind of attack pattern has a high chance to strike a paralyzing fear into an opponent's heart. After all, one must not forget that even a flinch of the opponent meant their catastrophic defeat under the overwhelmingly ferocious momentum of this kind of attack.
Allen had noticed that the Mummy Lord is certainly going all out on him. the Mummy Lord’s attack was now more brutal, and above all, its strikes were infused with a terrifying amount of mana, which could deal a huge amount of damage.
Even still, Allen simply stepped back casually without flinching.
He responded in kind. Rebellion’s form distorted and slowly changed shape and become a long halberd like a long pole. With this, Allen has now longer reach compared to before and his movements turned faster that eyes could see.
Clang! Clang! Cleng! Allen had already ignored the noises from the surroundings and both of them were only focusing on each other. Siiish!! A long wound appeared on his cheek and blood splattered.
-- However, it had already disappeared in an instant.
Still, Allen had noticed that the Mummy Lord’s attack has a chance of ignoring Allen’s Logia body… How?
It was as if, his body’s powers had stopped.
Allen twirled the halberd in the air and slammed the axe blade on the ground but the Mummy Lord had easily evaded it by stepping in the side. Crackle! Allen raised his left free hand and slammed his palm on the ground, electric currents spread like a spider web.
The Mummy Lord summoned a Mummy that was over five meters tall and with it stomping the ground, the electricity was immediately cut off.
Seeing this scene, at this very moment, Allen’s eyes narrowed. The Mummy Lord’s summoning ability… I want!!
Just how many creatures does he can summon? Is it tamed or truly summons…?
The giant Mummy raised its arm and delivered a strong punch towards Allen’s direction. Bang!! Huge debris was blown away and a massive crater with a fist print engraved on the ground.
“Master!!” Voices called out one after another. They were about to come and help him when he stopped them via telepathy. This should be a sacred duel between the two of them, just as the Mummy Lord had wanted. If someone interfered, the Mummy Lord would certainly become furious.
Still, while mid-air, Allen looked around. There were still undead but the number had already been reduced by quite a number and most of the tamed beasts seemed to have been exhausted already.
The only ones that were still alright, aside from Asmodeus who were fighting with the Scorpion King and several Scorpion like guards that has similarly human torsos and Dakna who was still wrestling with the Sphinx, Baishe, Qin, Mireya, Lama, Xinghong, Fiona, Grafilia and the Luan Eagle, the others were already tired, it seems.
This must have been quite late to mention but, among the tamed beasts, the Flying Fortress, Li Meihua, and Agathi Dorhuck didn’t come with Allen into the Celestial Realm due to them having been significant roles in the mortal world. However, it’s like Allen can’t summon them as the Godly Artifact; Solomon’s Divine Grimoire had become a shortcut between the mortal world and the Celestial for them due to the connection of Allen’s several clones that has the ability to access the Grimoire.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
As long as they entered the Grimoire, Allen can call out to them, whenever.
Back to the current situation...
As each and every strike of the giant Mummy, fell towards Allen, a swirling lance of purple light spilled out from the Mummy Lord’s crook and flail, filling Allen’s vision with purple flashes; however, Allen didn’t flinch nor did he jump back any further and, instead swayed his body at will from side to side, evading the singeing attacks.
Allen made several turns before landing on the ground. Raising his both hands, two pistols materialized in each of his hands. Then, in his left eye, a black colored rimmed monocle appeared.
[ Deadshot ]
This was the complemented artifact that Allen had made for the gun type weapons he had. Focusing his gaze on the left monocle, the Mummy Lord and the giant Mummy appeared with lock-on marks on a targeting reticule (crosshairs) over the amplified image. It looks extremely like the ones you usually see in sniper scopes.
Lock-on mark was nice and extremely convenient.
Bang!
A fire was shot.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
But Allen didn’t want to end there. Allen shot the two guns simultaneously and in just an instant, nine shots were fired. Allen the red marks on the monocle were perfectly shot.
The giant Mummy’s movements halted as it uttered a deafening groan.
For the last shot, “Reload, Explosion!!” Combination magic with his ability [ Explosion ] and his lightning.
Allen aimed the two guns at the giant Mummy’s chest. Crackle!! Allen’s shoulders trembled.
The sparks electrifying his entire body were no longer contained within and more and more bluish-white snakes of electricity started arcing from his and into the two Demon slaying pistols.
“Eat this!!” Allen’s rippled patterned eyes glimmered menacingly and he pulled the trigger.
BANG! BANG! After pulling the trigger, a bullet came out from each muzzle but for some reason, the moment they were fired, the two bullets merge, transforming into a huge meteorite fireball.
The Mummy Lord saw the incoming menace and couldn’t help but become startled. It hastily jumped from the giant Mummy’s shoulder to escape the brunt of the attack.
BANGGGG!!!!
The giant Mummy’s chest exploded with a loud bang! as if a nuclear explosion had just happened. Even the nearby, monsters as well as the poor Baishe, Qin, Lama, and the others were blown away by the shockwave.
The entire ruins shook as if a great earthquake had just occurred causing countless rubbles and sands from above to constantly fall down, flattening the pitiful monsters that couldn’t avoid.
Though what’s most eye-catching was that, even the caster itself, Allen, was blown away towards the opposite side, crashing into a standing pillar, breaking it apart. If not for the Dragon Scales, he would certainly have received a considerable amount of damage.
“The heck!?”
*** ***
There's no end to this.
That youth’s servants had probably defeated several dozens or hundreds of undead and monsters already and yet the number seemed to have not been reduced at all!
The enemies’ number was beyond expectation.
Not, it’s not that. Those that had been killed and defeated will always stand back again and fight. There’s just no end to them.
Watching the battle from afar, Anahita stared with a pale face as to what was occurring in front of her.
She was scared of the situation and thus she hid herself at the entrance of the ruins as to be able to easily run away when needed. However, although this was her plan but at this very moment, she could only stand there, watching what was happening in front of her with wide open eyes.
Seriously…
What the heck is this…
She had ever expected the power of this monsters –no, that mysterious youth’s servants to be this terrifying. In just a matter of minutes, they had probably killed more than hundred already.
Although it was not much since the opponents were just undead, but judging from the undead appearance, they were not just simple undead monsters.
Then, her gaze went towards the demon who she had thought as an enemy just a while ago. She was fighting the Scorpion King along with the Royal Scorpios, a group of royal guards that would be summoned to protect the Scorpion King if necessary.
Although not as strong as the Scorpion King but, even she herself wasn’t confident enough to contend against three to four Royal Scorpios. But that demon was fighting not just the Scorpion King but also, all the eight Royal Scorpios without much trouble!!!?
And then, another thing was the appearance of the Sphinx as well as the descendant of the Dragon clan that was always elusive and evasive clan.
Dragon Clan never liked associating with the outsiders due to their nonsensical pride and ego.
But for a descendant to be here… and most of all, not just one. That white dragon lady as well and even that Qilin and that mythical blue bird… just how come that youth have so much mythical and legendary beings as servants?
This is really unbelievable!!
Good grief, I've had enough of absurdity today –is what she wanted to say but every time she turned her gaze and watched the fight between that youth and the Mummy Lord, her brain can’t help but turned blank.
That youth was actually contending against that Mummy Lord…!!
That monster that even sent fear from the other Mid rank Deities on her clan!
Thinking about it now, what she said to him before the fights were certainly nothing but a joke. And in his view, she was probably just a nobody trying to be someone special –that made her mood plummet.
Damn! That was extremely embarrassing!!
As Anahita continued to watch the intense battle between the Mummy Lord and the mysterious youth, her mouth could not be closed time and time again. When the Mummy Lord summoned a giant Mummy, even Anahita started panicking. However, this was short live as a few moments later, something happened that made her unable to believe her eyes.
Her last vision was a huge ball of fire that spreads through the entire place. It was extremely hot.
Although she was standing several dozen meters away from the battle, still, she was blown away due to the impact. And before losing consciousness, her last thought was, ‘I'll say this again, I've had enough of absurdity already.’
