Chapter 400: [ Protector ]
In fact, the youth floating above them seemed to be high in the clouds… and overlooking all creation. He was like a true God, the overseer of the entire world!
The killing intention in the youth's aura was like a strong tide, but it was also like a light breeze at the same time.
His silvery –snow-white hair was floating above his shoulders in a graceful manner from the back of his head. And, it left the on-lookers to believe that it was some kind of a free and graceful dust --as if it would float-away whenever the wind would blow.
“Graa –!!?” The Titan’s tried moving their hands but only four including the black armored Titan managed to get off that mountain like pressure and the weapons in their hands started falling towards Allen.
Not good! Allen is in danger!!
Witnessing this scene, Eerika was terrified as she immediately tried to turn around and flew back. But before she could do so, her shoulder was grabbed by someone. When she turned around to see, she saw Baishe was standing behind her while wearing a faint smile.
“The master will be alright,” She softly muttered. In her face, radiated a strong confidence that no matter what happens, Allen will always be fine and safe. There's nothing in this world that could harm him --such firm faith coupled with love makes her face extremely beautiful than anything in this world.
Even Eerika who was stunned by her unwavering belief and trust couldn't help but feel affected and her worries slowly calmed down. That's right! Belief! Trust! In this world, the most important thing she could do and give are these things...!!
"Alright, thank you..." Eerika's face bloomed a beautiful smile.
Baishe shook her head and smiled.
Floating in front of the City Wall, Allen looks at the incoming clubs and swords and chuckled humorously. Pitiful...
“Shinra Tensei!!” BOOM!! When Allen’s eyes revolved and changed into ripple-like patterns, the standing Titans felt as if their bodies were rammed by an invisible wall, pushing them away.
“You’re still not enough to reach the last stage. Go back from the start,” Crackle!! Lightning chains shot towards the flying titans, binding them in place.
Allen’s body started to release intense bright electric arcs and in an just less than a second, he was already standing in the middle of his own personal hurricane.
Clouds of water vapor swirled around him--winds so powerful they buffeted the monsters beneath the City wall and flattened the poor monsters, beasts, and demons that couldn’t get away in time. Monsters tried to endure the storm and threw magic attacks at him, but the storm easily knocked them aside… together with them.
This was Allen’s greatest advantage compared to Mid Gods, making him a force to be reckoned with. His varied abilities that don’t conform to one nature, makes him terrifying and powerful!
He wasn't just a normal Wind God as he can even pose as the God of Wild, or even Trickery. He can even be a God of Lightning and Storms similar to Indra.
Various abilities make up his overall power and strength that made him equal or transcends Gods that was one to two level higher than him!
“This ends your turn,” Allen muttered coldly. His eyes gleamed with ferocity and bloodlust. “… better luck next time~”
Lightning flickered around him. The clouds darkened and the rain swirled faster. Allen waved his arms towards the group of titans and monsters and blew them off with the hurricane--some pitiful groups were even flattened or electrocuted to their deaths.
!!? As Allen was watching the hurricane danced a huge greatsword filled with equal amounts of fear, hatred and bloodlust swung down on his head. A Nephilim magically appeared just above him.
Since Allen was standing just outside the Barrier to deal with the Titans, he was completely vulnerable… is that what one would think but, Allen’s keen and Godly senses had noticed its existence and had seen the attack. Thus, his opponent’s desperate gamble failed.
Allen’s ripple patterned eyes rotated and suddenly turned into blood red, with a noticeable single tomoe ate the corner of his pupils.
Leaning deep at the back, the great sword brushed past Allen’s face by hair’s breadth. Seeing the massive blade shining in a cold luster under the light, Allen's face remained indifference. As if the brushed past of death a while ago was just a normal occurrence.
Using the leaning force, his body rotated in midair and his small frame was as nimble as a cat’s. And before the suicidal Nephilim could react, Allen took a deep breath and his throat slightly bulged out.
“Water –Lightning Breathe!!!”
BOOOOMMMM!!

The fight lasted for half a day.
A huge amount of monsters piled up like a small mountain.
Fortunately, this was the Desert or else, one might fear that a river of blood might really be created at this very moment, changing a bit of landscape.
Most of the Sandwalkers had perished in the hands of the Elders while 4 out of the 6 Nephilims were killed by the combination of Allen’s tamed beasts, Eerika and the other Mid Gods. 3 of the Nephilims managed to escape with fatal wounds.

Eerika was wounded quite gravely in the fight but it was easily healed by her and Baishe--in which who was acting as a medical worker with her good water abilities. She was originally a guardian of a Lake thus, her healing abilities were quite good.
In fact, if she stayed there for a century or more and was worshipped by people, she would probably have a chance to jump the Dragon Gate and be given Divinity by Nature's Law--making her a local Snake Deity!
Of course, even if she knew it beforehand, she wouldn't regret following and falling in love with her one and only master. Baishe would forsake anything just for Allen--that was how deep her affection to him had become!
Among the summoning beasts, Baishe was one of the tops in terms of dependency towards Allen.
As for the other tamed beasts, although some severe wounds but it were not life-threatening. There were still even those that were unsatisfied with the fight and was still full of energy when they returned to the Grimoire.
All throughout the battle, Allen was completely dissatisfied since he couldn’t really fight properly and couldn't quench his thirst for battle.
In fact, all this time he was extremely eager and waiting for the high-level demons and monsters arrival but for some reasons, aside from the Sandwalkers, Titans, and Nephilim, there were no sightings of high-level demons…
What is going on here…?
Was this just a test…?
Wounded soldiers staggered around or collapsed from blood loss. Arrows were shot into the stone walls and the surrounding area was a complete mess.
The surroundings showed evidence of an intense battle, with bodies from the attacking monsters and defending soldiers everywhere.
Outside the wall, the corpses of humans and carcasses of monsters were scattered all over the ground. People were extremely busy and some of them were even hugging corpses, crying; some carried corpses and quietly left.
Outside the walls, in the blood hardened sand, a young beautiful girl was crying while holding a man that was lying peacefully in a pool of blood. Judging from the ages and expression on the girl’s face, one would be able to guess what their relationship was.
But this wasn’t the worse.
What was the worst and most horrible thing was that most corpses aren’t intact and some were even not complete. Probably already eaten by monsters…
As Allen was watching all of this while being surrounded by his tamed beasts, “Mr. Allen! Are you alright?” someone called out to him.
At the top of the City wall, princess Anahita along with his bodyguards run towards Allen and the others resting place. Allen even saw a familiar face among them.
Aytan Paria.
Aytan look at Allen, when she saw him looking at her, she hurriedly cast down her gaze. Her face reddened in blush. Her head hung low as she found it completely impossible to look up and make any sort of eye contact with Allen.
When she saw him, her exchange with Allen at that time appeared inside her mind clearly as if it had happened just a while ago, making her embarrassed and shy.
Just what are you thinking... Aytan bit her lower lip and shook her head in silence, trying to erase the nonsensical thoughts forming inside her.
“Yep,” Allen smiled and shrugged. How wouldn’t he be alright? He did nothing during the battle but watch.
He stared at Anahita and the others.
Anahita was panting a bit and even her appearance seemed quite haggard. Her armor was covered with scratches and signs of being torn by a sharp claw. There was even a dent as if it was rammed by a massive and heavy something whatsoever.
As for most of the soldiers and warriors, they were already sitting on the ground. Allen can even see a woman with her legs straightened while her palms supporting her body, barely keeping herself from keeling over. Her grip on her sword was loose.
But she didn't say anything and just smiled weakly, exhausted. Some people were trying to help her and yet she refused, pointing at other people who were worse than her, making them receive help as quickly as possible.
This gesture really moves people, even as battle-hardened as Allen. Time like this makes the world beautiful beyond compare...
“How about you, Princess Anahita? I’m happy that you seem well,” Allen returned her attention towards Anahita and smiled faintly.
Grim, as usual, didn’t care about her surroundings, turning and wriggling within Allen’s bosom. She only glanced at Anahita and the others for a bit before putting her cute paw in front of her mouth and yawn.
“Just as you can see, I’m alright…” Anahita responded with a faint smile. And to Allen and the others surprise, Anahita, along with the people who had followed suddenly bowed towards him.
“Mr. Allen and all those friends of yours, of course including Ms. Eerika of the Norse Clan, I, Anahita Rajavi, Daughter of the current lord of the Aryan Clan, thank all of you, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you!”
““““THANK YOU!!!””””
All the people stood up and thanked them, and there was even a pretty little girl who walked over and gave Allen a little flower.
Eerika, Baishe and the other women bowed in return and smiled warmly. The other tamed beasts also seemed to have understood that they were being thanked and clumsily bowed, in their own respective yet unique way. Although the most eye-catching was none other than Grim who suddenly woke up after seeing everyone bowing to them.
The shameless cat immediately acts smug and raised her head proudly while purring and nodding her head. Fortunately, no one really minded her behavior.
Allen, on the other hand, could only smile wryly, "No need for thanks? Besides, it wasn’t me who had done something. It was them,” he gestured towards all his beasts.
Truthfully, Allen didn't like being thanked. After all, he had felt he really didn’t much today. He was just sitting on the walls, watching. However, Anahita and the others didn’t think the same.
Aside from the fact that these beasts were Allen’s servants, Allen’s actions during the battle weren’t left unnoticed.
“Mr. Allen, being humble isn’t always good.” Anahita smiled faintly.
“From today’s battle, the warriors had managed to defeat all the enemies with all they had and dove into the battlefield, leaving the walls and the people they cherished greatly without worry was because of your existence.”
“… …”
“They can put all their attention towards the enemies because they know that protecting the families behind them was someone worthy of respect, trust and belief.”
Allen thought that he had only done the least thing during that battle but for the others, it wasn’t that simple. Allen had protected the barrier and walls that caused a miracle to happen.
The barrier didn’t deteriorate even the least bit with those kinds of enemies. The walls weren't even damaged and there were no casualties that happened within the walls. The city was safe as all the people hiding within as well.
And the reason for it was none other than Allen!
Because of him, the casualties this time were reduced by a large amount!
“That’s right young lord! This flawless victory is all thanks to you, young lord!” An old man, one of the Elders of the Aryan Clan who looked about forty with a stout build said with a hearty laugh.
He showed no hint of fatigue as he rested his bloodied sword on his shoulders.
Unlike his weapon, there wasn’t any blood on him. He was really something else, strong and capable which would explain why he still looked so energetic.
And it was then followed by many more similar flatteries.
“You are the protector of the City…”
“Come on, stand up. You are one of the Heroes today~”
… … And much more sickeningly sweet words came from those old geezers from the Clan.
Seeing their current appearance, it seems like their battles didn’t go smoothly as well. Still, all of their faces radiated warm and sunny sky, as if that intense battle a while ago was already a past.
Allen can only shrug and smiled in response. Their serious attitudes caused Allen to feel a bit giddy and feel a little embarrassed.
Well, the world is indeed full of problems like the world can’t live without enveloping everyone into darkness.
There might be no stars or moon in the sky but one shall never forget… that night always came to pass and the sun will rise and smile.
That is why, if you don’t want to cry and grieve then get up, smile and do something--not just moving on and forgetting... but moving on and expecting.
And that was how the Aryan Clan’s first day of battle ended.
