Chapter 582: [ Defeat ]
By the time Allen noticed, it was too late and the massive sharp sword was approaching. Allen immediately stopped what he was doing and tried to block it. Lightning covered his body as he held his Guan Dao in both hands and tried to block it, but the blade was repelled. Even the lightning itself was cut—no, was it erased…?!
This…?
With True Dragon Strength far surpassed his, Allen’s Guan Dao was thrown into the air. His lungs were crushed. Allen had been focused on weaving his next attack, so was completely too slow in responding. He couldn’t put the strength in his body with how he was standing.
He’d only seen it once, but Allen cursed his carelessness. The Dragon King; P’thala swung his sword like a baseball bat and hit his now defenseless stomach. “Guh?!” Allen used all of his magic power to protect himself, focusing it solely on his torso. Dragon Scales immediately appeared, covering his body.
At the moment of impact, crimson and azure light fought against each other and sparked.
The amazing strike hit him in the pit of his stomach. It was done with True Dragon King’s strength so he couldn’t simply withstand it.
Booooomm!! Allen’s body shot off like a cannonball. He hit and battered down the trees in his path, but that didn’t stop his momentum. If he hadn’t immediately used all his defensive abilities simultaneously, he would surely suffer terrible injuries. He finally hit the eight trees and stopped, bouncing down onto the ground.
“Hah… hah… hah…” Rolling over, Allen breathed heavily. The scales on his body started to come off and fell to the ground. His state was extremely terrible. The numbness from the impact still pervaded his body and he couldn’t properly move. Somehow moving his left hand, he stroked at his bloodstained chest, checking on it. It was painful. One or maybe two of his ribs might have been broken. Fortunately, [ Lifeless Physique ] immediately kicked in, sparing him from pain and numbness.
Even so, if it wasn’t Allen. That attack would have killed him, or at least grievously wounded him.
“Shall we end it already?” The Dragon King spoke candidly, his sword over his shoulder.
Like a Celestial, he slowly descended to a few meters above the ground, giving him time to think. Allen grits his teeth and slowly stood up. His red eyes have a hint of blood falling from the side of his eyes.
“Gentlemen need to pay respect to warriors. If you won’t give up, I can’t be pathetic either.” The Dragon King P’thala grinned. “… I thank you, brother. You are the first person to have made me fight like this after a thousand years. Hundreds of challengers have attempted to do so, but none apart from you succeeded. So I thank you for succeeding, and finally bringing a change to my never-ending stagnation in this place… … even if it’s just for a little amount of time." After ending his speech, the joyful Dragon King suddenly inhaled a deep breath and then opened his mouth wide.
“… As thanks to you, accept my gift~”
Inside his mouth, an incredible amount of magical power began to accumulate and compress. Under the compression, the mana began to distort space, and the air took on an unreal and strange appearance.
Looking at this, chills ran through Allen’s body.
He had a premonition of certain death.
If he did not move instantly, he would die.
And even if he did try to escape, his death was still extremely likely.
And even if he did try to escape, reaching a game over was still extremely likely.
Using [Sense Area], he grasped the unimaginable scale of the attack. Even if he used [Teleportation], he could still not avoid the range of the attack. Though, one of the reasons why he couldn’t do just that was because, behind him, was a few signs of life—Mireya and the others, including those hidden cultivators.
Thus, Allen realized that an unavoidable, fatal attack was about to be released right at him.
"To start ..."
"Kaa ....." Instantly, Allen leaped into action, setting up his defense while the Dragon King prepared to attack. Using [Black Hole], he created countless layers of vacuums by influencing gravity. The power of the field was enough to distort light, and slightly attract any organisms towards it. If an organism was to get too close to it, they would be ripped to shreds.
Allen had to resort to using such a formidable attack as part of his defense. With its help, he was also able to attract a huge mass of metal under the ground. The size of it was huge, easily weighing several hundred tons. Thus, Allen used his lightning to cause magnetism and secured the lump of metal. Then, using [ Necromancy ], Allen formed three-meter thick bone gates in front of him.

The size and layers of his present defense were more than enough to prevent the attack of any enemy he had encountered previously. A normal attack would not even leave a scratch.
However, he still had a bad feeling that it wasn't going to be enough.
[ Dragon Scales ] [ Angel’s Halo ] [ Angel’s Prayer ] [ Anti-Magic Barrier ] [ Demon’s Armor ] [ Bone Armor ] [ Demon’s Gate ] and many more abilities he had, all were activated in an instant. Even the barrier engraved in his armor was activated at full power.
Now he looks like a Transformation Hero.
Even with all of this, Allen did not think his defense was perfect. However, it was the best he could do in the short time period before the Dragon King’s attack. He had a premonition—that as long as he would able to endure this attack, surely he would have a chance of defeating the Dragon King; P’thala!
RROOOOOOAAAAARRR—!!!
Without any warning, the Dragon King released his blistering attack, [ Dragon King’s Flame End ] which could not be controlled upon release as it was too powerful. This attack possesses the power to decimate an entire continent in an instant! Even Gods and Demon Gods fear such power—this was also the reason why Dragons are always said to be even mightier than Gods, that they possess the title of being [ The Strongest Race ], that they possess the power that could destroy even the world…
[ Dragon Race ]
…and most of all, in front of him right now, was one of those considered a King of them, all the while being crowned as one of the strongest monsters in the world—standing in the summit that even Gods and Demons wouldn’t dare to disturb: [ Monster King ]
… ROOOOOOOAAAAARRR—!!!
And with every flash of lightning that lit up the whole region, the entire area exploded with a storm of crimson flames, reaching Allen instantly.
".......?!"
The resulting impact battered Allen, and he struggled to maintain his balance. His teeth began to crack, but he paid no attention to them.
The lightning-fast attack was so incredibly hot that it evaporated everything it touched, even the air it pierced, distorted as if it was going to break like glass. The dense layer of vacuums managed to take away some of its momenta, but the sheer force of the attack pushed it through.
The huge mass of metal held for 10 seconds before it too was consumed.
Amazingly, the heat surpassed the absorption limit of the metal, and it began to distort in shape.
This caused a small gap in the mass of metal. The small hole was enough for the flames to burst through and consume the metal from the inside out.
Allen’s Gate of Bones also met the same fate.
Having smashed through his first three layers of defense with only a small loss in power, the flames reached Allen’s last layer.
“Damn it!!” Allen cried out in anger.
In an instant, Allen waved his hand and a two meters, coffin-like, large shield in front of him. With an angry cry, he thrust his left arm and linked it to the shield.
As he poured his magic power, several small parts separated from the edge of the coffin-like shield and hovered around Allen. Then, these small parts suddenly emitted a transparent wall dyed in golden as it enveloped Allen in a prism-like formation.
BaaaAAAAnnNNNggGGG—!!!!
Just a few seconds after Allen took out his last defense, the Breath arrived. The impact accompanied by a tremendous roar and the heat wave released melted the ground around the large shield. Even the force field around him was cracking, issuing ‘ka ka ka’ sounds like a submarine beyond the safety deep layer of the sea.
“Guu! Ooooo!!” Allen let out a roar filled with spirit as he resisted the Breath’s pressure. Before one was aware, Allen’s body and the large shield let out a bright red light. Aside from the special force field, the shield wasn’t just a normal imitation from fiction shield as Allen made it more durable and stronger than the normal Fin Funnel Barrier. It has features, such as [ Mirror ] a type of power that reflects the attacks back to the enemy, [ No Pain No Game ] the ability to become more durable and stronger after being damaged and [ Infinite Defense ] an ability to increase the shield’s defense as long as he imbued it with magic power.
Such an item was nigh indestructible, and yet the flames still surpassed the amount of heat it could absorb as well as the damage it could reflect. The [ Mirror ] was not able to put up much fight as the damage seemed to be greater than what the [ Mirror ] can carry and reflect.
Even [ No Pain No Gain ] and [ Infinite Defense ] was being crushed as the Breath seemed to carry the greater power that they could endure. So after resisting it for a while, Allen’s defense was penetrated as the large shield received a direct hit.
Even so, the large shield still endured the Breath. The power that penetrated Allen’s Defense and heat gradually melted its surface, and it’d fall apart at any time, but Allen still maintains it using [ Creation ], restoring it time and time again. He wouldn’t let any more breakthrough than this.
His imposing manner and unmovable strength were slowly being defeated by the pressure, as he gradually being pushed back. Even still, Allen gritted his teeth and propelled himself with the power of the wind, pushing him using [ Wind Manipulation ]. Even Sand and the Earth stood up like tentacles to disturb the breath, all while attacking the Dragon King but to no avail. The Dragon King was finally showing his prestige and the feathers floated around him, attack those who came near him.
The crimson flame then reached the black aura that covered Allen’s armor. Although his body and armor had been reinforced with a plethora of abilities and it provided some resistance, it couldn't suppress the attack completely.
The aura scattered, and then the armor began to melt. The flames met the ability-enhanced skin of Allen.
Although he had always imbued his skin with large amounts of abilities, it still wasn't enough, and the flames finally overcame his last layer of defense.
The strong smell of burning flesh permeated the air.

Mouth agape, Mireya, Qin and all the people standing almost a kilometer away from the battleground of the Kings, looked to the sky.
Whether it was Allen’s family, the hiding human cultivators, or the Dragon Kings servants as well as all the monsters within the vicinity—all were focused on a point in the sky.
Of course, they had halted their fighting. Now wasn’t the time for that.
While Mireya and the other tamed beasts had so much trouble with the Dragon King’s servants, a sense of unease had endlessly grown in Mireya’s chest.
It had finally been realized.
Borne fruit in an unimaginable way.
Suddenly.
Truly suddenly, an absurd amount of magic power surge overhead, filling the heavens.
Mireya, Qin, Fiona, Grafilia, Lan and all of Allen’s tamed beasts, all had pale complexions as they suddenly looked to the sky.
And then, they witnessed it—
