Chapter 399: [ You dare scare my cat?! ]
The monster horde was recovering from its shock. They then distanced themselves from the giant scorpions --terrified of being eaten and devoured alive. However, the normal monsters and demons know that they couldn't do anything to them so they turned their hatred and anger towards the human city and once again rushed towards the City wall. Still, the warriors and soldiers were still in a panic.
Seeing this scene, the Elders immediately made their move.
Their auras simultaneously burst out, giving an invisible oppression towards the crazed monsters, causing them to tremble and shake. But this was war and monsters know they would be able to escape nor retreat even if they wanted to--their eyes gleamed in ominous blood color and the only thing in their mind was... KILL!!!
Their fear and dread instantly turned into resolution and become even more monstrosity!
"Hmph! Damn beasts!!" The Elders snorted in contempt. However, the most dangerous monster among them were still; the Sand walkers! Thus, they flew towards the giant scorpions without hesitation and attacked. They can’t let those monsters get close towards the City Wall and continued their slaughter.
As for the City Walls safety, there was already a reliable guardian there. Thus, worries weren't needed!
"OOOOooooooohhh!!!!"
"Follow the Elders!!!"
"Fight!!!!"
Seeing the Elders entering the battle, the soldiers and warriors finally regained their composure and intercept the rushing monsters, continuing their battle with much higher morale and spirit. Even still; none of them dared to join the giant scorpions and the Elders battle.
With their strength, they would just be a full course --worst was, they might just turn into a baggage and drag down the Elders in their battles!
However, at this moment, the size of the monster horde finally shown its advantages as the group of defenders was slowly being pushed back slowly.
And worsening the situation, Graaaaaahhhhhh!!!! Giant winged humanoid monsters descended just in front of the City Wall.
With distorted faces, black angelic wings and large horns from both sides of the head --These monsters were similar to humans but with an ugly appearance, similar to that of demons.
Nephilim!! Seeing them, Allen’s eyes narrowed. In fact, he was also a Nephilim but his kind was of different from these monsters. When he was Solomon, he was a real human bestowed by the power and grace of God.
The God gave him a power similar to that of Angels but since he was originally a human, he was considered half –angel half –human. And this had followed him when he was reincarnated becoming a human person named; Allen.
This caused him to become a Nephilim!
But the monsters in front of him were none other than those, real offspring of the "sons of God" an Angel, and the "daughters of men", a Human, making them a hybrid. A terrifying distorted existence.
However, this act was strictly forbidden by laws of Heaven and the punishment was the death of the celestial parent along with the child.
Many had been punished and killed. But those that managed to survive had bred a huge hatred for the heavens along with the True God.
They abhor Gods!
Due to their immense hatred, they desired the Celestial’s destruction that had denied their existence. They kill for revenge!!
Allen can’t say he doesn’t sympathize with them nor would he say the True God’s punishment was undeserved. He doesn’t have that right… nor does he have any interest to do so.
Justice comes in many shapes--of course, colors as well!
Justice doesn't mean it was good and correct, there was also justice in evil! However, who justice is always good and not evil? Who can say Justice is always evil and not good?
No one can differentiate clearly --one thing for sure is that Justice can only be defined in the eyes of those who carried it!
Thus, Allen was not interested in caring whether the God had done was right or wrong.
“I’ll keep them away,” Allen was about to react but before he could, Eerika finally stepped forward. Her eyes were sharp and firm, as though she had decided on where her sword would point to.
Since the Elders of each clan had gone towards the giant Scorpions, Allen, as someone who possesses the strongest power in the remaining people within the City wall, he would be forced to fight them.
But as if Eerika can allow that!
In her eyes, Allen’s power was still unstable! Who knows how he would fare against the Nephilim!
Thus, she stepped forward.
But there were six Nephilims, Eerika alone was insufficient.
Allen saw Eerika’s intention and didn’t say anything. Time like this, a real gentleman should know when to retreat or advance. And Allen, as self-proclaimed gentleman decided to retreat or else he would hurt her feelings.
Although he wanted to fight but making a woman worry for you wasn’t his style. Since she wanted to play, as a gentleman, he would fully support her.
Allen gestured towards Rebellion. When she came over, Allen’s right hand had already reached out towards her chest. In an instant, Rebellion’s chest glowed with a golden light and several light beams flashed.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
The moment Allen withdraws his hand; several figures had already descended around him.
“““Master!”””
Baishe, Dakna, Qin, Lama, Mireya, Grafilia Wolfram, Fiona, Laura, and all of Allen’s tamed beasts appeared standing around the Watchtower.
Smiling faintly, Allen waved his hand, “Go and have some fun. The playground is all yours but, be careful,”
Roooaaarrrr!!
Raaawwwwwrrr!!
Arrrroooaaaa!!!
The tamed beasts happily rushed towards the battlefield while Baishe and the other women accompanied Eerika towards the giant Nephilim.
Grafilia Wolfram, Grim, Laura and Rebellion, on the other hand, stayed with Allen. Grim, in particular, was never interested in boorish things like fighting. She just curled up in Allen’s arms and slept without caring on the surroundings. For her, it was the safest place in the entire world.
In the battle, countless dots of golden light suffused from the sun and quickly gathered onto Eerika. A golden halo enveloped the girl and her body ignited in a column of light and heat. It was as if the spotlight was shining on her, giving her a very cool appearance.
"Sun Beams!!"
Eight beams of light shot out from Eerika as she darted past all the monsters and titans.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Eight deafening explosions sounded and amidst them were the screams of the monsters and even a Nephilim was swallowed whole. Mushroom clouds of smoke rose up as the entire area was covered by explosions!
BANG!!! The immense reaction created by the collision of power left an enormous hole in the ground blowing dust and debris into the sky.
Mireya and Baishe, as well as the others, took action as well. Their bodies shuttling back and forth to dodge as well as to attack the Nephilims and the monsters underneath.
A small blizzard whirled around the battlefield, swallowing monsters and demons, throwing them away like garbages.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The icicles exploded, causing only a slight pause in the movements of the two Nephilims.
Several monsters and demons fell amidst sprays of blood.
Ahead of them were Dakna and the Griffon; Fiona, wielding their claws in a dance of death, not the least bit inferior to the others. They swung, spun, cleaved their foe’s bodies and tore limbs apart, knocking them down. They did not seem worried at all, and their movements were relaxed and casual unlike the other Godkins and warriors laying their lives on the battlefield.
Bodies were piling up around them like a little mountain. They looked like the real monsters compared to those ugly ones frantically and desperately rushing towards the city wall. Calling them war monsters was still understatement as blood formed like little rivers around them.
Even Dakna’s beautiful crimson battle dress with a bit of silver armor and Fiona’s soft fur, all were drenched in blood and yet, they didn’t mind. They slaughtered and slaughtered without caring for any thoughts.
Then, three Nephilims and a Giant Scorpion appeared in front of them, respectively. But these two wild-like beasts simply took a step back and once again rushed like mad lions.
Dakna turned into a giant Dragon and wrestled against a Nephilim while Fiona brandished her claws as if trying to tear apart the giant scorpion apart.
The griffon did not even look behind at the enemies circling behind her — she simply put all her attention on the giant monster in front of her.
As the monsters and low-level demons seek for an opportunity to land an attack, Lama, and Mireya and along the other tamed beasts including Lightning and Silver, protected Dakna and Fiona’s back as rings of fire and ice encircled the area within ten meters in radius as if giving them a good arena.
Boom!!
A ray of light shot out. The lightning struck a monster that looked like a combination of a boar and a bull, causing fresh blood to splatter around.
The monster, suffering from the heavy damage, took a few steps back and roared. It widened its mouth and charged towards Lightning. But before it could come into close, three bolts of lightning appeared out of the thin air, shooting towards the monster.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The three bolts of lightning penetrated the body of the monster, immediately making its blood splatter around the area. The boar –bull-like monster painfully wailed, but at this very moment, Silver finally strikes. With claws glittering with electric arcs, it slashed at the monster, severing a huge chunk of meat from its neck.
The monster pitifully fell down. Dead!
Silver roared with excitement as Lightning jumped towards its back, wriggling its fur ball –like body as if dancing. Both of them were excited and happy.
This was certainly a festival of exp!!
An eat-all-you-can Exp buffet!
Everyone was extremely busy but not even a bit of anxiety and unease appeared within their eyes. In fact, a sense of joy and excitement -like little kids visiting an amusement park for the very first time, they went wild!
Allen watched the battle while paying great attention towards his tamed beasts. He was already prepared to act and support them when he found it necessary.
As he focused his attention at the battlefield, at the north end of the battlefield, the enemy vanguard broke through the group of entangling monsters and high humans—a warrior in black armor leading a battalion of giants with huge bronze axes and iron clubs.
Hundreds of other monsters poured out behind them.
The group of titans divided and streamed towards the City Walls, wanting to smash broken the protective barrier. When they were halfway across, the Godkins and High human warriors blocked them desperately.
A huge circle of sands in front of the City wall erupted in fire, incinerating many of the monsters instantly.
Others flailed around, engulfed in crimson flames.
But the group of Titans led by the one in black armor didn’t the least bit cared about these party tricks. They charged towards the City wall, walking straight over the gathered monsters and defenders, swatting and smashing all those who dared to block them with clubs and arms.
Even monsters were smashed to a pulp!
A huge firebomb exploded right on top of the black armored Titan, but just raised its rectangular shield and block the fireball away.
Finally, in just less than a minute they had already reached the City Wall.
ROOOOOAAARRR!!! They let out deafening roars one after another; even Grim who was peacefully sleeping was startled awake. When she saw the titans roaring in excitement, grim's adorable face distorted in anger as she brandished its claws in anger with a 'meow! meow! meow!' cries.
However, after seeing the Titans completely ignoring her, the Grim showed a shocked and hurt expression. She angrily turned around and climb at Allen's chest, clawing it lightly. 'Meow! Meow! Meow!' she cried, tears started falling in her adorable doe eyes.
Master, they startled me! My ears hurt!! Grim cried at Allen pitifully while one of her arms was pointing at the excited Titans.
Allen smiled gently as he petted the little cat's small head with affection. "It's okay, master's going tp punish them, immediately! Don't cry, tears don't suit my lazy cute grim..." Allen smiled teasingly.
"Meow! Meow!" -I'm not lazy! Grim cried out, clawing Allen's chest with its paws. Of course, her sharp nails weren't present.
As for the Titans, all of them raised their weapons in the air. The people in the City Wall look at this scene with despair but suddenly, when the Titans were about to smash the protective barrier, their bodies froze.
“Hey, hey, you dare scare my cat?!!” A leisurely yet cold voice rang out.
Then, an extremely powerful pressure started to emanate in the area.
This force pressed upon everyone's minds and left them to tremble. Even the people standing on the City wall as well as the monsters beneath the giant Titans started shivering as the aura swept over the entire place.
After that, a person suddenly appeared high above in the sky. This person had seemingly appeared without any prior indication. That person was dressed in a black coat. He had silver hair and red blood eyes. He was floating in the air without any wings or device.
He was smiling warmly but everyone could sense that there was a world-shaking murderous aura behind that slightly closed and smiling mouth…
It was like he had grasped the absolute power and authority to kill. It seemed as if everyone was beneath him.
"Dare to scare my cat! You deserve death!!!"
