Chapter 585: [ Battle in Solheim (2) ]
"Come at me!"
Allen nodded. He had already prepared himself for this.
Zoom! An icy gust of wind blew by and a figure appeared right in front of Allen. The initially calm Allen was slightly stunned. He knew that he wouldn’t take advantage in this world.
However...
The speed that the Dragon King showed before and the speed he had now was completely different.
What changed?
Allen transformed into lightning in an attempt to dodge.
However, it had no f*cking use. The Dragon King continued to close on him like a phantom he could not rid himself of. Furthermore, he was much faster than Allen at lightning speed. So is he started taking this seriously? Just as Allen was thinking about it, a sharp aura came crashing down on him. It felt just like a blade was slicing down towards him,
He dodged to the right reflexively. Kacha! His black long sleeved coat became a short sleeved one. At that very moment, there was a long fissure just beside him. Probably around ten meters or so, the ground he was standing looked like it had been sliced cleanly with a knife.
Allen’s eyes narrowed. He glanced at the Dragon King and realized that he did not move. He was still standing at where Allen was before. Then, the Dragon King smiled suddenly and his tall figure appeared to vanish, but he had moved instantaneously in front of Allen with his personal sword and partner, [ Ocean Splitter ] and swung his sword down.
There was not a single wasted movement, the king’s sword dropped.
With no way to escape, Allen was cut in two. Or so it appeared, it was nothing but an illusion, what the Dragon King cut was Allen’s afterimage!
Just like [ Phantom ], this was a technique derived from that skill, crowned with the name of [ Lightning Phantom God Step ]. A movement technique that left afterimages, armed with mirage and Godspeed, his speed broke the boundary of light and sound.
“Fear the Wrath of the King!!!” Allen appeared, standing in the sky and looking down at the Dragon King. Behind him, hundreds of golden ripples appeared. All sorts of weaponry slowly gathered around Allen, all pointing towards the Dragon King.
“Ho?!” the Dragon King’s eyes darted from one weapon to another.
“Rush!!” Allen swung down his arm and all the weapons was floating around him, numbering hundreds or probably thousands, shot all of them towards the Dragon King. “This is the true welcoming party… Dragon King!!!!”

The sound of metal striking against metal rang through the air as two figures stood with blades in hand upon a hill covered in swords of every shape and imagining.
Their shapes silhouette by a sun that was stuck in enteral dawn on the horizon. Due to his Guan Dao bent in a strange angle from the Dragon King’s breathe, Allen was reverted to using Rebellion—his beloved partner. Jumping back and flipping several times in the air, Allen and the Dragon King made a distance from each other.
Even though the two warriors only had two hands, it was a battle of infinite swords. Blades flying through the air to clash with of blades, struggling for supremacy until one of the other shattered, but with each blade that was broken, another would take its place. A battle was only possible because of the two that were fighting it.
“… What a beautiful world…”
The Dragon King muttered as he once again admired the world’s convenience. Blades and swords, all in this world that has no inhabitants, it’s like it was made to host battle that would never end. One that would last for eternity!
… Until those massive gears in the horizon stopped spinning—a battle can’t stop!
One wouldn’t need to worry about affecting innocent people—one can go all out in this barren wasteland.
A Graveyard for the Brave indeed…!
“…Fighting here felt as if I was already fighting for almost a year, nonstop…”
Allen chuckled, amused. “Don’t worry. Time here is not similar to the outside world.”
“Oh?”
“A month here meant an hour in reality. When you felt you are fighting for a year, it meant that you are just fighting for half a day in reality…” Allen patiently explained. “This is a battlefield for those who seek endless battles…” Allen raised his left hand up and dozens of swords materialize around him.
“Of course, here, just like you said, I can change the laws… stamina, energy consumption, fatigue—although my power has not yet reached the level of affecting other living beings, if it was just for me, I can change them at will! Here, I am an almighty God of War that knows no exhaustion, knows no fatigue, and knows no death!”
“… …?!”
“I can change my gear of fate and time and restored it back to the way I wanted it to be. Wounds, injuries, fatigue—even without my regeneration, as long as I will it, I can return my body to its peak condition with no side effects whatsoever!” Allen grinned impishly, proud and confident. “Solheim! The World of the Brave! Only the brave will stand up against the Demon King, the ruler of this world even if they know despair—don’t you think so?”
“What a typical but strange world you got here!” The Dragon King laughed but then his eyes turned strange and complex. “So you meant that as long as you are in this world, you are almighty—that you can battle even for centuries or for eternity?”
A strange tone could be heard in his voice.
“Ah, that is the aspect of my world! The real nature of [ Solheim ]!”
“I never heard of such complicated but elaborate personal reality!” The Dragon King smiled faintly. “… a world only for one? Now that is strange…”
“…Hm…?”
“Even if you manage to create a world of your own, there’s always been a limit. That is normal! Have you ever seen such a world like yours? Time, space, and even physical manifestation were controlled at the same time?”
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
“What are you talking about?” Allen frowned.
“…Mid Gods create their personal reality but that world has yet to able to manifest in reality. However, when reached the High God realm, they would be able to make it real. That the world you created would really manifest in reality… and you will then become a True God, creating a new real world…!” The Dragon King looked around Allen’s world. “Do you know why is that?”
“… …”
“Because Mid Gods were only able, no, it should be allowed to understand a fragment of the world. Like a small part or function, you were only allowed to see up to that point. If you managed to understand the world entirely of its functions, you will then become a true High God, able to create a world… But no one has yet to reach that point! Some came close but transcending that part is the real difficulty!”
“Luck, Opportunity, Power—these are only some of the factors needed. There were still some unknown boundaries that needed to be breached in order to become a real High God!” The Dragon King explained. “…thus, in this world, in this Thousand Worlds, there’s only ‘One True God’… the only real High God!”
“I can’t understand what you are talking about. Aren’t Odin, Zeus and the others, High Gods as well?”
“No… they are not!” The Dragon King shook his head. “If you want to classify them, then they should be called; Pseudo-High Gods. One that had managed to reach the Boundary but couldn’t completely cross!”
“… …”
“All their worlds present in the form of Myths and Legends…thus, they became real immortals just like the ‘One True God’ They had their own world that would never be erased even if the ‘World’ ‘reset’ because all of them had managed to engraved their worlds in the history of many worlds, giving them life!”
“It’s one way… but not the correct one.”
“Only a true Creator can be called a real: High God.”
“Then, what’s the correct one?”
“Who knows~ if I know it, I would have become a real High God long ago.” The Dragon King chuckled. That’s logical. “… There are many ways as stars in the sky. But there’s only one ‘real’ one…”
“… …?”
“That is why, in this world, all the Mid Gods has the ability to create their personal realities but… never as illogical as yours.”
“What do you mean?” Allen tilted his head, seemingly understanding but at the same time, couldn’t. Is something wrong with this world then?
The Dragon King smiled wryly, “Just like what I had said just now. Mid Gods are only able to understand a part of the World’s function… those they understand, they are able to incorporate it into their own world.”
“…most Domains, even mine in that aspect, were more like an illusion, an image of a false world. It was a real world but at the same time not…”
The Dragon King opened his palm and a transparent image of a dragon spreading his wings appeared. “For example mine, aside from the ability that all Domain Creators share, an access to an almost endless supply of energy—this was only allowed because you have a world inside you, so all the energy in your world, of course, can be used by you, it’s world apart compared to other creatures—Is the fact that every domain has an ability that only the creator can use and control at will. It’s an aspect of the created world—the foundation of one’s desire, character, delusion, well whatsoever. In any case, it was the part that you had gained an understanding of…a function of the world’s law.”
“…As for mine, I can control the sky in my own world.”
“Control the sky?” Allen tilted his head, confused.
“Yeah… thus, I gained the title, Monster King of Azure Sky.” The Dragon King responded. “In my world, as long as I forbid it, apart from me, no one can fly or use the sky. Everything in the sky is mine, and mine alone. Air, wind, clouds, temperature, weather and some other things, they are mine to control at will. Even those who think they had owned the sky, will their wings be plucked by me and fall into the ground like bugs. That is my [ Forbidden Sky ]…”
“… …” Allen’s eyes widened.
Although he had become a true Mid God and created a Domain of his own, in fact, his understanding and knowledge in regards to Domain and Domain Battles were still poorer than one could imagine. It was just his own self-thought. In fact, it was already a huge miracle he was able to create it without one teaching him. In that sense, he was indeed a genius, though a monster genius!
Still… now that he says it like that, in the case of Hanjin, that Monster King was able to use the Lava and Magma in his own world like it was his own limb. Then, it means that his fragment of the world was his ability to control the lava and magma oh his [Harsh Wild].
Now that I think about it… how did I manage to win…?
Well, not that I won though. I was completely defeated by him…!
“However, yours is completely different…” The Dragon King sigh. The way he looks at Allen was like he was looking at something incomprehensible… something, mysterious yet ridiculous at the same time.
It ticks Allen off…!
“The Tower behind you, that massive tower that looked like the Ancient Tower of Babylon. I can feel living aura inside it so I know that unlike this battlefield, there was a proper world inside that Tower. A world that can allow living beings to live… in this case, it was like a world inside a world… truly marvelous!”
“But that thing that confused me is that… how are you able to affect Time, Space, Physical Reality, at the same time? This is not just a mere illusion anymore but more like a real world…” The Dragon King fixed his gaze at Allen. Feeling dumbfounded at the sudden realization.
This was the most exquisite world he had seen… in fact, it was far comprehensive creation than his own…
But this should be impossible…!
Allen was just a 1st Grade Mid God while he was 3rd Grade Mid God.
That difference in Grade is not something that could be cover so easily.
“Reality Warping… it’s not restoration but more like, you change reality… isn’t it that?” The Dragon King’s tone turned solemn. “It’s not controlling elements anymore but warping reality and controlling laws within the world like a True God…”
Woooosh. As he was speaking, suddenly his figure disappeared. Even in Allen’s Godly vision couldn’t catch the Dragon King’s movement as he suddenly appeared before him. Furthermore, since he wasn’t expecting the Dragon King to attack like this so sudden when they were just talking casually, his movements delayed and his counter was a bit too late!
Bang!!! The Dragon King swung his [ Sky Splitter ] down at Allen. As if an action out of reflex, Allen’s arms holding Rebellion move but he knows it would be too late. Thus, “Defense—Higher! Negate—Blade Damage!” Boom!! Allen’s body that was hit directly by the sword sending him flying to the ground like a launched cannonball.
Whiiz! However, before he could crash, Allen’s body flips and stabilized his body in midair, before landing on the ground. But still, the impact caused by the Dragon King’s attack was still able to cause him to cough up blood.
“See… as I thought,” The Dragon King smirked. Allen’s body, even though struck by his attack directly, the force of his attack was reduced—no, it was negated. However, probably because the Dragon King’s strength and power were far stronger than Allen, the entire attack wasn’t completely negated. But even still, the leftover impact still caused damage to Allen—but that wasn’t the problem here!
“You, you are changing the laws just way you wanted them to be!” The Dragon King declared. Even though he looked calm but inside, he was actually completely dumbfounded. This completely deviates from the logic he had believed all this time!
“I had noticed all this time. Although you are able to contend against me because you are within your established domain… but your power and strength jumped many times over what was the norm! Speed, Strength and Perception—”
“…This is not a mere creation domain! This is already creating a world! A world where you are the sole ruler!”
“… …”
“Just how did you do it?! How are you able to absorb much functionality in your present status…?!”
“…I don’t know…” Allen frowned. He shook his head. “I only created what I wanted to create… that’s all…”
That’s what the truth.
