Chapter 261: [ War in Forest of Night ]

Chapter 261: [ War in Forest of Night ]

A dozen miles away from the city formerly known as Vatican and was currently known as God’s Land, an intense war was currently occurring!

The Church and the Allied forces against the sudden appearance of the Night King, Vampire Lord Dracula and his kingdom Transylvania, the Lycanthropes and lastly, the Witches.

In addition, unlike the Witches, Vampires and Lycanthropes have formed an alliance against the Church, thus the fight was so intense.

Standing in the frontline and leading the soldiers and hot-blooded warriors were the former Dawn Alliance Kings;

The Noble – Mark.

Poseidon– Daniel.

The Hellfire– Yoyo.

Hades – Bernard.

... And lastly the Church’s Holy Maiden; Maria Earlstein.

Among them were a group of paladins and Templar knights of the Church and warriors from different organizations.

The former kings and other organization leaders were inside an extravagant tent and were currently enjoying dinner while making plans.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

In that instant, the sound of the bells echoed. It was as if the emotions of the entire camp had been roused.

They immediately rushed out of the tent. Along with the stream of people, he rushed and surveyed the eerie forest in front of them.

The Forest of Night.

It was a vast forest. However, only trees with no leaves can be found here.

There’s no green only black fog covering the entire forest. Hanging on the branches were skulls and skeletons.

There were also spikes found around the surroundings with skulls at the tip – it’s as if it was the remnant of the history that made Count Vlad the infamous Count Dracula into the infamous Vlad the Impaler!

This place was called the Forest of Night, the never awake land as in this place the sun would never shine gloriously.

The entire area, around the Vampire Kingdom Transylvania was covered with black fog and dark clouds that seem to protect the kingdom from the light of the sun – creating a gloomy and eerie scene.

In the horizon, shadows were approaching.

Mark did a rough calculation of the enemy’s numbers and found that they numbered around a hundred.

– “Vampires!” Mark called out as his eyes glowed.

Vampires had appeared once again.

Pale faces and black cloaks hung to their bodies, like some sort of dark nights…

As Mark and the others watched the scene they saw people shooting their guns, swinging their weapons and shooting spells one after another.

A war had once again begun!

Soon the Vampires that was killed fell down and turned into piles of dust and ashes.

“Form ranks!” One of the Paladins shouted.

The warriors immediately responded and came together, their military training kicking in. Shields locked, they marched into battle against the Vampires and Werewolves that had arrived.

A Templar Knight wearing silver helmet and spear shouted, “Ready!” And then, a hundred spears bristled.

“Fire!” The moment the signal was given, the spears sailed through the air – a wave of death cutting through the armed monsters of the Night.

Looking at this, “They just never get bored of this, do they?” Daniel couldn’t help but yawn.

“They were already pushed over and over and yet all of them still run towards this place like a bunch of lunatics. Even if they succeeded in attacking and killing most of the soldiers, they would just be annihilated in the end,”

“Well, they’re here just in time for us to hone our skills and levels,” Yoyo said with a smile.

“Compared to weak monsters, it’s more interesting to grind high-level ones like Vampires – they give a quite high amount of Exp.”

“Speaking of monsters, I recently heard an interesting rumor that had something to do with us….” Bernard said with a mysterious expression.

“What sort of rumor is that?”

“From what I heard our dearest little bro turned into a Monster King…” Bernard paused for a moment.

“Do any of you here have any news about this?”

“Allen… huh,”

Mark sighed.

“That guy huh… the previous world’s worst criminal in history that gathered countless monsters together, fighting and overthrowing kingdoms that mess with him…” Daniel narrowed his eyes then he massaged his temple his hand, “I’m having conflicted thoughts about him. I know that we must not let him walk down that path again… rather his abilities should be used to maintain peace…”

He was a madman… a strange guy. That was the impression Daniel has for Allen.

Before he joined the Alliance, he was a lawless guy that doesn’t conform to any rules.

Unlike any organization, there was nothing that binds him and his rule was … himself!

When he found a strong monster, he fought it simply to relieve stress. For him, it was of the pleasure of finding a slightly stronger enemy.

When he explores dungeons and ruins, the owner doesn’t matter he will just come and go.

He doesn’t trust people and rather trusts what a monster says than human words.

He didn’t need the advice of other people but rather directly experience and solve it himself.

He was slightly arrogant and selfish but he never picks a fight first and will respect people who respect him.

Nevertheless, Allen was the best there could be!

It was a constant challenge to be the person that constantly made their own path.

He walked the path the others usually did not take and hunted.

That is why he can always give unexpected surprises to people… including them. He was certainly a super unstable element that broke all conventions.

And now that he seems to have returned to his former self again… Daniel can’t help but have a headache…

In all of his life in the previous world, dealing Allen’s vagabond and anti-hero life was one of the hardest he had.

In fact, he wasn’t the only one as most of the Kings came from different organizations so naturally, they too have been sent to deal with him… but it only resulted in numerous headaches.

Travelling back in time had only been a joke, but who could have known they would actually go back in time?

This joke had ended up becoming a reality!

And worst, their headaches too had come back!

“… Still, I doubt any of us can defeat him right now…”

That was Daniel’s own opinion after gathering more information and news about him. They even saw the video containing the infamous; Thunder Emperor of China – Ye Wushuang.

Even with just hearing the name, who wouldn’t recognize him when that similar name also wreak havoc in China in the previous world?

That man almost turned the entire country upside down…

Mark and Daniel had once thought of stopping him, after all, comparing strength, they held the advantage against the Beast Master – but who would expect for him to acquire much destructive power in just a short amount of time!?

And now, he was hailed in the monster world as the Monster King… though for some reason this event didn’t seem to be so surprising to them…

He was always an eccentric man whose inclination greatly leaned towards monsters.

However, his power should be quite astonishing if he was crowned as a Monster King… It’s not good to say this and it seems impossible seeing only less than a year has passed but…

Did he possibly already transcended from Superhuman Realm?

It’s vexing but such notion can’t be eliminated. One must know that Mark and the others were still Lv7 – 8, probably Mia too wouldn’t be far off in level. But how could he possibly already pass Superhuman Realm…?

In only one year, how could he manage to raise his level so quickly?

They had even visited Japan a few months ago, hunting for more destructive abilities but they only found some.

In terms of Country Culture, Japan is one of the leading nation that possesses a vast diversity of power - though, Mark, Daniel, and Yoyo only found four Special Crystal that contains such things.
