Chapter 579: [ Intense Battle between two Monster Kings ]

A scream rang out.

It was not a human scream.

The howl was more foreign. It slipped into human hearts with no resistance and shook up the emotions within.

One wanted to reject it more than the sound of fingernails on the blackboard, but one also felt an intense feeling of guilt at rejecting it. The incomprehensible cry was difficult to accept and difficult to reject. The voice easily exceeded the limits of human vocal cords as it resounded throughout that entire forest.

“Incomprehensible! As expected of a Human who had been crowned as Monster King…!” The Dragon King who stared at the scene, aghast said without meaning to.

The monster in front of him is a very strange monster…!

Something floated in the vast battlefield like a single light in the darkness. It was a bluish-white light. A human-like silhouette stayed oddly still at 300 meters up in the air.

Wings spread from the silhouette’s back.

They were black colored wings that looked like made from pure obsidian.

Two pairs of wings with the pair above were slightly longer and bigger than the one from below. Each of those wings moved independently and ominous sparks as they moved. If one looks closely, they would realize that each of those wings held the destructive power to sever a mountain just by touching it.

“A cross breed of an Angel and a Demon, yet possessing the power of a great Dragon—indeed, befitting the title of the Monster King!” The Dragon King widened his eyes as he spread his hands, his body glowing and beautiful jade-colored scales appearing on top of his skin.

“Oh so glorious!! So wonderful!! That is my Kin! Human or whatnot, you are indeed, a bonafide… Monster King!!”

“Die, Dragon King!” The youth who was floating high up in the air had his right hand raised up towards the sky, and a magic circle expanded from it.

In the next moment – a large tornado appeared and began moving straight towards the Dragon King. With a rumble and blast, the dust, rubbles, and trees within the surrounding were sent flying into the air. This sudden unexpected situational change caused both the humans and monsters to begin screaming.

Kacha! The sound of things breaking echoed in the surrounding. The tornado that came from the sky, demolished and sent flying the trees and hills blocking its path, like a mad beast. In the countless screams that accompanied that—

“A-Ahh…”

“Aaawoooohhhh!!”

Even if it was a human or monsters, it would still be devastated by its onslaught—the magnificent forest was gradually being turned into dust.

—something like that, however, did not happen.

Within the howling wind, *Shinn——————!* the sound of a slash suddenly sounded out.

And immediately after – the tornado near it suddenly disappeared without a trace.

“—…?!” The youth who had launched that terrifying disaster, furrowed his brows as he saw that at the moment when the tornado landed – appearing in front of it, the Dragon King was standing there. His entire body was covered with an armor seemingly made from Jade scales, and it appeared as if he had just slashed with his claws – in an instant, the disastrous tornado had been cut and destroyed.

“…let’s have some fun, brother…!”

—At that moment, the Dragon King was already right in front of Allen.

The over 10m distance between both of them was erased by P’thala in just a matter of second. The casual expression on Allen’s face was now mixed with a little surprise. The Dragon King reached his hand out and pierced through Allen’s chest with his sharpened scaled claws. However, there was no pain, no impact, and more importantly, no cry of agony as the claws pierced Allen’s chest like a hot knife into butter.

Instead, of an expression pain, Allen grinned wickedly as his hand that was covered by an Obsidian gauntlet made a Kachink! sound and three silver, shiny, curved claws which were made of a special metal appeared in Allen’s knuckles.

The special metal he had used on almost all of his equipment and weapons was the one he had created imitating the fictional adamantium-vibranium alloy. Although Allen was certain that such metal was somewhere in the world, but finding it was extremely difficult. Thus, he manufactured another metal by combining several strongest metals he could find—now, Allen was certain that if there was Adamantium-vibranium alloy, it should be comparable or at least would not lose to the real thing!

Clang! P’thala grabbed Allen’s claws with his bare hands and then Bang! have a contest of strength, palm to palm, face to face.

Crack! Kaka! Crack!

They were surrounded by some weird sound effects. The sound was caused by the aftershocks caused by the power of both of them colliding with each other, causing the air to vibrate.

“Grrrr!!!”

“Aaaaahhh!!”

Muscles bulged on their arms and necks and veins that looked like earthworms appeared on their foreheads as they pushed their arms with all of their strength. Suddenly finding themselves in a stalemate, Allen grinned, “Beibei! Activate the anti-personnel weapons system!”

[ AS YOU WISH, MY MASTER! ]

And the bracelet on his hand lit up and responded to Allen’s voice. Two black disks about 20 centimeters in diameter appeared one after the other above his right and left shoulders.

Strangely enough, they had no thickness.

“What are you doing?” The Dragon King P’thala asked curiously when he heard Allen’s voice. However, Allen didn’t answer, and instead flashed a smile. “…it’s a dessert! Taste them well, Dragon King!!”

Immediately after Allen spoke, something metallic could be seen coming out from the black disks.

Although the disks had no thickness, the metal was oddly three-dimensional.

It was almost as if the black disks were some kind of window.

“What the heck is that?” The Dragon King exclaimed in shock.

The metal resembled a muzzle as it turned and pointed at the Dragon King’s face. And from the left hole, a bluish-white light began to shine. At the same time, a low-pitched sound making the air itself shake came from the right.

“Farewell!”

At the same time, several blue beams shot through from the muzzle.

The Dragon King’s eyes widened in shock.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

However, “Tsk! He got away!” Allen cursed as he immediately jumped back. His eyes narrowed while feeling the numbing sensation from his hands.

“As expected of the Dragon King…!”

“Those were some nice toys!”

“…?!!”

When Allen heard that voice directly behind him, the sound of the wind being sliced accompanied it.

The Dragon King hadn’t just circled around behind him in that instant.

A long bluish sword with a feathery hilt was already moving horizontally for Allen’s neck.

“…!?” He didn’t have time to turn around. Allen dropped his waist down and just barely managed to avoid the strike. Or at least he thought he had. He felt a hot pain near his ear. In the corner of his vision, the tip of his cannons’ muzzles was cut off, falling into the ground.

Clang! Then Allen heard an odd noise. Following the trajectory of the horizontally swung sword, an unnaturally blank object appeared. It was the wreckage created as a side effect of severing dimensions. It naturally started to fall straight down towards Allen with a weight greater than a mass of steel the same size.

Shit…!!

Allen immediately teleported away from the falling object.

But an unpleasant vibration reached his gut.

“Too slow, idiot. That’s just going to get you sliced to pieces.”

With a roar, the Dragon King swung his sword.

The vertical swing from top to bottom created a giant dimensional slicing attack stretching in a straight line 20 meters from the sword. It was a route that would separate the top half of Allen’s body from the bottom half. And Allen would never doubt that sword could do that even with his current nigh indestructible body!

“!?” Tsk—clicking his tongue, Allen’s eyes narrowed as he immediately held out his right hand. “Begone!”

With what sounded like a whip, the created slicing attack disappeared partway.

It…disappeared?

Without hesitation, Allen somersaulted in the air and then shot himself like a cannon bolt towards the Dragon King’s direction.

“Draaaagooon Kiiiing!!!”

“Human King, you will die today for sure, and I will also make sure that by the time I am done with you, you will be left unable to even beg for your life!” The Dragon King grinned fearlessly, revealing his steel-like teeth and his handsome face slightly twisted fiercely. His face covered by shining blue colored scales that gleamed beautifully under the light.

“Humph, don’t be so full of yourself, Dragon King! There are several others who want to kill me, so you alone are nothing but inconsequential!” Allen sneered and said.

One could see that both sides no longer cared to give a face to each other. There was nothing that could ease them now.

“Then let’s see about that!” The Dragon King roared. The long sword in his hand swept out a terrifying sword light that rushed towards Allen at a tremendous speed. It crossed the expansive sky, rippling along the way, while it seemed as if the world would be broken into pieces any time now.

Both people, including the Dragon King’s subordinates and Allen’s Family, were present in the surrounding and all of them held their breath in astonishment. This battle is something they couldn’t interfere with or join—a battle completely out of the ordinary!

Allen snorted coldly. “Dragon Slayer—Cutting Crescent!” He swiped his hand in the air and in instant, an over 1.8 m long black-silver metal pole. At the top of the pole was a blade which was very deeply curved. The moment it completely materializes, the entire weapon can finally be seen—a Dragon head Guan Dao.

The blade was dyed in silver with a strange ink marks tattoos on its surface. There were rings along the length of the straight back edge of the blade. The Kwan Dao or Guan Dao is a type of Chinese pole weapon. In Chinese, it is properly called a Yanyue Dao literary known as ‘Crescent moon blade’, the name under which it always appears in texts from the Song to Qing dynasties such as the Wujing Zongyao and Huangchao Liqi Tushi.

It is comparable to a European fauchard or glaive and consists of a heavy blade with a spike at the back and sometimes also a notch at the Spike's upper base that can catch an opponent's weapon. According to legend, the Guan Dao was invented by the famous general Guan Yu during the early 3rd century AD, hence the name. Due to his large stature, he was able to wield such an imposing weapon and developed the Guan Dao into a versatile tool. Guan Yu's Guan Dao was called "Green Dragon Crescent Blade"

Allen brandished the Guan Dao from his hand and instantly shot it up into the sky. It pierced through the sky to face the astonished Sword light that had been shot by the opposite party. Although Allen’s halberd or spear technique was not profound as it was not obtained as an extraordinary inheritance or mastered in the most peak by him even in the previous world, yet the sheer might use by him in this attack had more than compensated for all that.

In fact, the power displayed by this Guan Dao this time was far more terrifying than that of by the Dragon King.

Previously, Allen had learned martial arts and weapon mastery in the previous world. There, he had studied all sorts of martial techniques as well as the so-called avenues of the martial arts. Although he could not become proficient in all of them due to his power as a tamer at that time—a jack of all trades and master of none type combatant. However, his current tyrannical strength was more than enough to balance out what was lacking.

BaaAAnnnggGGG—!!

The golden beam of the Guan Dao coated by electric sparks instantly collided maliciously into the majestic Sword light of the Dragon King, causing a huge pressure that crushed the space. It resulted in an immense shock wave that set off energy storms in all directions.

!!!? The moment the Dragon King saw Allen’s attack, his eyes immediately sparkled in wonder while his already fierce facial expression turned a look of one of that of appreciation and excitement. This power—even if he was far below but if he was careless, he would be dead if that hit him! As expected of a Dragon Slayer Weapon, the weapon alone can intimidate every Dragon species!

RooooOOOOAaaaaAAArrRR—!!

He gave out a loud bellow which vibrated throughout the surrounding space.

An icy-cold and piercing killing intention suddenly blasted out from his body and scattered everywhere.

The people present in the surroundings immediately felt this intense killing intention and quickly drew a few steps back. His killing intent was so frightening that some of the spies with comparatively weaker strengths felt as if they would be shattered into fragments. The Dragon King was really excited—as it was already too long since he had felt this war!

"Human King, you really made me happy!!" The Dragon King shouted ferociously with a touch of callousness and arrogance in his tone. His aura enveloped the world itself just like a vast ocean and swept towards Allen to engulf him completely.

“Fight meee!!!” The Dragon King cried out aggressively which shook the space before shattering it into pieces. His grandiose imposing aura swept across and engulfed the surrounding area as he rushed towards Allen. At that time, he looked exceptionally scary, like a mountain hurling towards Allen.

"Get lost!" Allen also roared loudly. The golden divine cloak attached to his armor swayed in the wind. He also burst out his body with magical power. He swept out his Guan Dao, rocking the entire space in the vicinity. His aura engulfed the opposite party’s imposing aura. The golden tide that he had swept out had already blotted out the entire sky.

BooOOmmmMM—!!

Both sides collided with each other in midair like two stars. In that split second, a large area in the surrounding space crumbled down while the dazzling light spread out in the horizon like millions of arrows made up of Bladelight, streaking across the sky at once.

In the face of such a terrible collision, whether it was Allen’s family and tamed beasts or the Dragon King’s subordinates, all withdrew as far as possible, so as not get swept away by the aftermath of this collision. Even though they were the leaders of their respective domains, this collision was too dreadful for them to withstand.

BaaaAAAAnnnGGGG—!!

After the collision occurred, the energy waves swept out and shattered the surrounding space, shocking everyone in the process. Just what kind of force was this attack comprised of that it led to such a terrible collision?

What kind of realm do these two people possess to have such power?

Bang!!! A figure was instantly sent flying out of that group of dazzling light. Unexpectedly, it was not alone. There were two figures, one was flying away while the other was chasing madly. The one who was flying was the Dragon King who was laughing happily while Allen chased him out with a fierce expression.

Midair, Allen twirled the heavy-looking Guan Dao and then pointed it towards the Dragon King P’thala, slightly downward. Then, with a sonic boom behind him, his figured blurred as he shot towards the enemy. The sound had already surpassed the level of explosions and sonic booms; it was no longer within the acceptable human range. It was the world’s cry of agony. Every single aftermath of this cry was lost in storms or gusts of winds that uprooted the trees within the forests, causing the large rubbles on the 4th level to tremor and bend the ground like sugar.

Even the surrounding battles of Allen’s group against the Dragon Kings group couldn’t help but stop their respective battles and stared aghast at the inhuman duel.

“…amazing…” Who knows who had muttered it but every person present in the vicinity couldn’t help but be dazzled by the raging colors that exploded burst like fireworks in a festival!

Allen Bando; Foreign Monster King of Envy and P‘thala, the native Monster King of the Azure Sky.

The sky is the limit, the two Monster Kings clashed. This was everything that was happening, overwhelming the entire surrounding.

"Hhhhhhhaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!" Allen let out a loud cry as he used a Godspeed.

Magic and Supernatural Skills, as well as Ultimate Martial Art—even a God would be killed in an instant!

Ultimate Move—Hundred Thousand Asura!!

No matter how great the numbers or how strong the person, no one should be able to survive it.

The Dragon King; P’thala’s Blue claymore and, after trading a few hits, it was clear to Allen that the Dragon King, isn’t just pure strength and power and likely knew as many powerful abilities as he did, possibly even more. Since P’thala was not an ordinary member of the Monster King Council, he was even able to cast ordinary magic spells.

To bypass this, Allen used water, lightning, earth, fire, darkness and even light attributed magic abilities, but the Dragon King immediately changed his defensive stance. The huge amount of magic clashing between them continued to change, and in this supersonic battle another element was currently underway: A mental battle called "reading the moves".

Science and supernatural.

Body and spirit.

Breathing and habits.

Chaos and order.

Their weapons continued to clash with each other, sending sparks flying. In this battle between two Monster Kings, one thing was glaringly obvious.
