Chapter 438: [ Two Conflicting Energies ]
At this moment, the ‘Death Zone’ had been named to the Blood Desert Oasis outside the city.
In fact, even a Mid Gods in the City wouldn't have the courage to enter this zone and seek for the source of this anomaly! Even though everyone was curious about the origin of this explosion and strange magic fluctuation, no one was willing to risk their lives by entering into this forbidden zone!
Being too curious can lead to one’s own doom!
This has always been the way the world reacts in the face of danger!
In the face of such extreme danger and threat of life, even the usually proud and arrogant Deities had started acting like ants!
~ Inside the Palace located within the City ~
A white-bearded man was standing under the roof of the building with two other men beside him; namely Abila Lygos and Artora Dilan.
"Such power..... I'm afraid that this being has already transcended the level of Mid Gods...." The Marquis of the Water City; Duwei Lygos’ face clearly reflected the shocked state of his mind:
“If I’m not mistaken, the only one who could possess such power is the Monster King of the Blood Desert; Hanjin! Just what kind of person actually dares to disturb it?
“A Monster King!!?”
Abila Lygos’ pupils slightly shrank as he swallowed, “Those monsters…?!! Who dares to tug on its whiskers?”
From the blue sky above, the violent waves of energy continued to create repeated muffled thundering noises. Even though the city was far from where the battle took place, Duwei’s ears still started to feel uncomfortable.
Duwei focused intently on the far skyline where green and red seemed to fill the air. The lazy white clouds were also no exception as they were dyed a shade of the two colors.
Another thunderous roar blasted into their ears, causing the two people behind him to swallow hard. The pressure from the energy in the sky actually caused their legs to shiver.
“But still, the monster king Hanjin should have been in slumber for the past hundred years?” Duwei’s headache grew worse. That monster king’s power was extremely high. Thus, the only thing he could do was sign a non-aggression pact and yet… why did it appear now?
“I really don’t know how courageous one can be to confront such monster.”
“However, isn’t young niece Rena within the forest? In addition, I had just received a report stating that the Torta is bringing the youngest niece and nephew to train in the outskirt of the forest… what should we do?” Abila suddenly remembered something and become worried about death.
Both men beside him were very surprised. Duwei immediately ordered: "Send the soldiers and look for Rena and the others immediately! However, don’t dive too deep into the forest; we don’t want to cause an unnecessary feud between us and that monster king!"
"We understand!" Abila and Artora nodded their heads. Then, they quickly disappeared.
~ Outside the City ~
A large ship was approaching the Water city, but faced with this anomaly, all three of them immediately issued an order and the members immediately pulled out their weapons and stand guard. Their expression was extremely serious and even a hint of dread appeared on their faces.
Divine Martial Continent's princess hobbled down her room, wearing a veil to cover her face, and joined the elders: "Third Grandfather, is something wrong? What was that explosion just now? Did something happen?"
The three middle-aged man standing at the center of the crowd had both felt the world-shaking momentum, and had spontaneously looked at each other, and had seen the same look of horror in each other's eyes!
One of the middle-aged men stuck out his finger and started poking his beard: "That explosion, as well as those auras we sensed earlier, was clearly due to fighting; however, these two people to create such a massive commotion, then their strength would be far too much to compete against. I can't imagine someone strong enough to produce such astonishingly terrible force.... Can you think of a possible source? Brother, it could be possible that this person is a peak of Mid God realm....."

Then, he paused, shook his head, and smiled: "If that's the case then we are like..... Lambs in a tiger's den or even worse...."
The other old middle-aged man wrinkled his brows and replied: "If this presence is a tiger, then we are certainly more than lambs...... don't you think that you should seek a better metaphor, perhaps something with dragons in it?"
The middle-aged man was speechless for a long time, and then he said: "Third Brother, I have never sensed such a terrifying existence in all my travels.... I afraid that these people had already transcended the peak of Mid God...."
The other middle-aged man sighed: "Judging from the monstrous auras… I think they are Monster Kings!”
“What!? Monster Kings?! How is it possible!!”
“If I’m not mistaken, in the Blood Desert Oasis, there should be a Monster King, ruling that area.”
“But then, the one who was competing against it… is it another Monster King? How is it possible that two Monster Kings would appear in one place?” There was a saying, in every ten million miles, there will always be one Monster King!
It’s a saying that shows how apart the Monster Kings are as they would never cross other Monster King’s territory.
“I don’t know… what I only know is that we need to be careful this time around. We simply cannot afford to take even one wrong step or cause bloodshed without reason, otherwise, I'm afraid that these monsters might not allow us to return back to the Divine Martial Continent alive!"
"Third Brother's words make a lot of sense, so we'll do as you say..." the middle-aged man frowned: "Anyway, it's not like these monsters would be running around in streets and marketplaces... as long as we avoid going deep into forest, we would likely not encounter them."
"Even still, I never thought we would have a chance to encounter a legendary being such as a Monster King on this trip! These monsters, even Mid God powerhouses dread them and would never dare anger them.” Their two pairs of eyes continued to stare at the vast forest beside the Water City with a sense of fervent passion inside them.
The entire forest was shaking and the ground was trembling. That was where the miniature sun has bloomed. At such close proximity to the explosion, even a Mid God would have difficulty completely enduring such a terrifying destructive force.
Following the slow flow of time, the fire wave that covered the center of the forest finally began to dissipate. A complete mess appeared in one’s sight.
When the flames and smoke cleared, the entire area looked like hell.
The smoke dissipated and the enormous open ground appeared to have undergone an earthquake. A massive crater had appeared as if a nuclear bomb had exploded.
On the dry ground, numerous cracks rapidly spread like spider webs, but they were immediately enveloped by crazily ignited flames.
Most of the originally towering large hills near the battleground has collapsed. The large trees and boulders were also blasted until only a small piece was still inserted into the ground surface. The remaining portion was all broken into powder by the terrifying destructive power of the fireball.
The massive and abundant forest had been directly turned into ruins.
There were still the groans from the monsters and beasts that had managed to survive, repeatedly ringing out amidst the blazing flames.
After several minutes, the flames slowly burned out, completely revealing the devastated forest.
The sound of the miserable screams of monsters and beasts alike that was late to escape had become quieter. Though, through the layers of flames, the winged tiger king could still see figures desperately rolling in the flames for their lives.
It then turned its head around, and its heart flooded with deep reluctance.
At the moment the smoke and dust disappeared, Allen, who standing on the ground, also appeared.
And the moment the winged tiger king saw him, the monster king couldn’t help but tremble in shock.
Allen was standing nonchalantly on the ground. His hair and some part of his body were in flames but it’s as if the flames weren’t hurting him at all.
This is impossible!! The winged tiger king’s pupils shrunk in shock.
Its pair of eyeballs went into a violent turmoil; its face was full of disbelief…
Impossible! Definitely impossible!
He clearly only has peak Lesser Deity power, whereas I am a peak of Mid God! How could he be possibly unscathed against those flames…!!?
This is impossible, absolutely impossible!
However, even if it was unwilling to believe it, the truth was right in front of its very eyes. The opponent’s power was clearly inferior to it, yet the intensity of his magic power was nevertheless, far superior to the winged tiger king.
“How can you be fine!!?”
Allen smirked. Through his assimilation of the Firebird; Bennu, he discovered that his body had gone through a major change.
The change did not only make his body immune to fire; it also made his body highly compatible with fire more than before. As the winged tiger king launches a miniature sun-like fireball, Allen didn’t do anything and instead just stood there. Nothing happened to his red cloud printed windbreaker and his silvery white hair swayed in the air, making him look extra cool.
“Aren’t you a human!!? Even descendants of God of fire would die in that kind of power and yet…how is this possible!!? You, are you pretending to be weak? Are you actually a High God with the divine aspect of Fire?!”
However, when these words went out, the winged tiger king suddenly saw that amidst the blazing flames, snow started falling. Not in the entire forest but only above Allen, as if protecting him from heat.
Snow in the clear blue sky!
How is this possible?!
He was certainly a fire god but why does he have conflicting energies within a single body?
In theory, biologically, a human with multiple attributes or conflicting attributes was almost impossible to appear. Men aren’t immortals, even gods.
Nature has its law and rules.
It would be different if the elements are complementing each other but conflicting elements in one body…?
That is quite difficult to achieve because conflicting elements will clash with each other and as a result self-destruct and destroy your body along with it.
That is the rule of nature!
