Chapter 749: [He wouldn't do that!]

“I guess, that shows how much stronger their opponent was. I heard those giants can easily annihilate a country or two,”

“Pan, what are you doing?”

Lightning turned towards Pan, the {Resting Rockbreaker} that had evolved from the {Rock Panda}.

It was hiding behind Yun even though its defense would not easily be penetrated by this kind of heat.

The yellow mouse's expression turned weird seeing an over two-meter-tall Panda covered by a thick, rock-like hide that seemed like even the sharpest weapons couldn't be pierced through, hiding and cowering in fear.

“Well, I hate painful things~” Pan growled.

Its panda-like appearance looked extremely comical as it shrugged its shoulders.

His collarbone and knees were covered by obsidian-colored rock and the flame-like Mohawk on its head running through its spine gave it a very cool and badass appearance.

Unlike the last evolution, it had shrunk considerably, standing now at a height of over two meters, less than three. Its chubby appearance was hiding a power that could crush a boulder with just a slap.

And with its innate heat and fire resistance that enabled him to swim in a lava pool that was much hotter than the surface of the sun, the Flaming Griffon Lord’s heat wouldn’t even singe a strand of its hair.

And yet, it was hiding behind Yun?

Lightning can only shake her head and roll her eyes.

“It’s fine. Father always tells us not to overexert ourselves and make sure not to receive any injuries.” Yun muttered with a gentle voice.

{Kakaros} is a tentative name of her current race. She currently looked like a giant, blue-purple and green serpent with its long body.

She's a ferocious monster, having a smooth, white underbelly, in contrast to her beautiful, patterned scales and webbed ridges that span across her back.

With her being a true Dragon Specie, she possesses fin-like appendages, which have been classed as "wings" found on the sides of her neck, and spines are lined all along the sides of her body.

She has three horns on top of her head, with one of her horns, at the very center being much larger than the other. On her forelegs, was a fluffy, cloud-like fur and her claws were golden. As she moves, her body crackles with golden-blue electricity.

It was said that as she moved, she could change the weather and make it rain or fill the heaven with thundering clouds.

"I don't suppose that's what master meant by not allowing to be harmed, you know—hiding behind a girl during a battle, even though you know even the sharpest sword can't easily pierce your skin,” the yellow mouse shot back.

Pan was a scaredy-cat, same as Grim, even though he was rather strong. When combat was imminent, this is how he usually behaved.

Although he can't fight, his offensive capabilities are not well developed due to his laziness, Allen didn't force him to learn, for Pan, already is considered one of the strongest.

He can easily endure even the most frightening blows, and tank the strongest explosions. He would ignore the attacks of lesser deities like they were nothing and would grapple with the greatest dragons.

The only problem, however, is his weak-willed personality.

"It will be alright because he always acts that way. Nevertheless, when the chips are down, he will still fight honorably. Even though it will make him a little tearful."

“……Isn’t that just an act of desperation?”

Lightning needlessly pressed on, rolling her eyes at Yun who always defend the cowardly panda. Though, she might be one of the reasons why this panda was incredibly spoiled.

“Come on! Don’t be like that. Pan is still our brother. It’ll all be good and fine as long as it works out in the end.”

Despite how hard he was trembling, Pan was still in the middle of the battlefield, not hiding or running away. This speaks volume.

The others did not appear to agree with Yun, who believed that Pan's presence alone was evidence of his bravery. Though they undoubtedly didn't think of Pan as a coward, they still didn't think he was trustworthy.

“Well, whatever… as long as he wouldn’t bring shame to our master,”

“Hey, I wouldn’t do that!” Pan cried out.

Shaming his master is much graver than shaming himself!

Even if he needed to crawl in the mud, he would never dare shame his master!

That is Pan’s pride.

One can only sigh, though, at the way his massive bulk still trembles despite the sincerity in his words.

… …

The dazzling red flame burst across the clear blue sky.

It consumed the sky like a wave of flames.

Instantly, the temperature of this entire area rose significantly.

It even almost surpassed the heat coming from the surface of the sun.

Many naively raised their heads to look at the horrific surge of flames that had swallowed the entire sky like a cyclone of destruction, both within Asgard and among those on the battlefield, be they Monsters, Demons, or descendants of the Gods.

The scorching flame wave continued to make everyone perspire a lot, even if Qin and the others were still thousands of meters away from their battlegrounds.

There was total silence from Asgard.

Their fighting appeared to have stopped even on the battlefield. All of them stuffed their saliva into their parched mouths. Anxiety and fear shoot through their entire body, and panic emanates from deep within. This land may have been destroyed into a level plain if the flame wave had been a little lower above Asgard.

“Is this the destructive might of a Griffon? How terrifying!”

Everyone shivered and groaned weakly in their hearts.

The flame wave erupted violently outward, becoming an energy ripple in the blue sky.

The center's explosion dealt a devastating blow to all nearby living things inside a predetermined radius.

Some unfortunate creatures burnt alive, while others turned to ashes.

It was like standing in the center of molten magma—so frightening, all the warriors felt as if their lives were hanging on a thin thread.

Fortunately, it was not eternal and only lasted for several moments.

The crimson flame waves leisurely spread out to a radius of a couple of hundred meters before they gradually began to disappear.

In the sky, two humanoids and a giant monster had gone into a dire state.

The blow received by the Twin-headed War Giant, which had a huge body, was undoubtedly the most severe among the three due to its size and its position being the target of the explosion itself.

Because of the destructive flame wave that swept out, over half of the tough skin on the Twin-Headed War Giant’s body had been completely turned into burned mangled flesh. Its body, burned black, had bright red blood repeatedly seeped and dripped down as though it was raining.

Its impenetrable defense had been completely broken by the attack, and even its incredible healing factor couldn’t catch up with its injuries.

It was lying on the ground, crying in pain and agony as its body scorched, and burned in flames, like a lump of grilled meat!

Terrifying...

Under the broken skin, a couple of horrifying wounds that were visible to the naked eye extended outward and almost covered its entire body.

At one glance, one appeared to be able to faintly see the dense white bones hidden within.

Three of its four arms were completely shattered by the explosion, while the remaining arm barely had half, its blood flowing freely. It was no longer possible to discern the mockery in the massive triangle-shaped eyes. Replaced, was an absolute horror as it gazed upon the two women. Not a shred of pride or conceit remained in its wretched, ugly expression.

It began to fear...

The pests and insects it ridiculed before, had now turned into predators that can take its life, and devour it whole.

As for Fiona and Mireya who were a bit closer to the explosion, before they knew it, they were already encased within a sphere of bright golden light.

Fiona and Mireya stared at each other, bewildered. Neither of them didn’t know where this orb of light that had protected them came from.

Fiona was certain that the attack wouldn't harm her because of her resistance to heat and fire. While Mireya may use her ability to control ice to defend herself.

Nevertheless, Fiona still stood in front of Mireya to shield her; however, she soon discovered that she was already inside the golden ball of light, shielding her from any harm before Mireya could launch her magical defense.

Who cast it…?

“Phew, I managed to make it in time!”

Fiona and Mireya heard the soft voice and simultaneously turned around, only to see a few thousand meters away, there was Elena Balder standing beside Qin, similarly being encased with a golden ball of light.

““Lady Elena?!””

“Hello, thank you for your hard work,”

Elena Balder smiled at Fiona and Mireya lovingly.

She liked these people.

Strong, courageous, brave, loyal, beautiful, and still many more virtues and characteristics they possess that she finds very likable. Of course, she liked them even more knowing they were the family of her beloved.

“AaaarrrrrggghhhhhhHHHHHHH—!!”

“?!”

“What the—?!”

Suddenly, the Twin-Headed War Giant let out a roar, intimidating Mireya and Fiona. Caught off-guard, they were petrified by the howl of the chaotic giant.

After taking a great deal of damage, the Twin-Headed War Giant lost control and went berserk. Drool spread across its two jaws and its eyes turned scarlet.

Fresh waves of red specks launched from the monster’s body, encasing it in a pulsing spiral of light.

Its wounds healed quickly as if its wounds were being erased by an invisible hand.

The War Giant becomes enraged.

The War Giant turned its fear into rage... its humiliation...!

It then directed its venomous look toward Fiona and Mireya, particularly at Fiona for causing it so much suffering.

Its hatred of her was so immense it desired to tear her to pieces.

Mireya and Fiona were petrified, under the influence of the fear status. Because of their proximity, they were unable to escape and defend themselves from the terrible effect of the giant's skill.

Even with their power, it was difficult to break free from it- it's a power to be expected from the Tools of Apocalypse the {Twin-Headed War Giant}! One of the monsters that almost destroyed Olympus.

The giant's body regenerated in the blink of an eye and with frightening rage, rushed towards the two women.

“Fiona! Mireya!” Qin’s eyes widened in anxiety.

Elena cried out in shock as well and the two hurriedly rushed to save them.

However, even with their fastest speed, it would be too late. The distance of the two- Mireya and Fiona, from Twin-Headed War Giant is too short, it was impossible to save them in time, even with Qin’s Lightning speed.

The Twin-Headed War Giant, desperate attack had truly caught them off-guard!

Just as Mireya and Fiona eyed the rushing giant hand that seemed to cover the sky in desperation, a figure appeared.

“You dare!!”

It sounded like the voice of thunder.

A scarlet figure with a chilly look stood just over Fiona and Mireya. She was breathtakingly beautiful, with long, fiery red hair that reached her waist, a stunning body, and an exquisite, noble, and refined character akin to that of a fairy tale.

She was so beautiful that it seemed as though she were a powerful goddess from another realm, making the princesses on billboards appear as thin as paper.

Her hair appeared to be woven from a blazing fire as it swayed in the air, striking against a face as flawlessly pale and exquisite as a work of art created by a master.

The threads cascade down her spine, coming to a rest in a row around her hips. So tousled by the wind, her long hair looked matted and dull. In a way, it gave her a wild look, like her soul was untamed.

Dakna; the Infernal Dragon Empress.

She was so strong as a True Dragon that in terms of firepower, she may be ranked just behind Allen and even higher than Asmodeus.

She was one of the strongest of Allen's tamed monsters; her speed was faster than Qin's Lightning Speed, her durability could rival Pan, and her power was not even close to Bulan's.

Dakna erupted in rage at this very moment, her visage full of predatory fierceness and hatred that seemed to manifest as flaming flames; “Dare to strike my family—you’ve made a grave mistake, Beast!!"

"...{Fiend Prison}!!”
