93. Setting Out

-Vol 4: To The North Pole!-

-Setting Out!-

After Vera finished her speech, she instantly proceeded to divide the groups. With the help of information available to her, she divided groups according to the strength and weakness of the hunters. It was arranged in such a way that they perfectly balanced each other.

Among the people he came to know under this short amount of time, Paitoo was with the oily skinned man. Natasha was with another man, from her contorted face, it was not hard to guess that she was unsatisfied.

As for him, he was with the division leader herself, Vera. He didn’t know if it was good or bad, but at least he wouldn’t face any accident with her around. The looks those hunters gave him were also very painful too. But the weirdest one was Natasha, who had a look of disappointment towards Kenshin.

Finally, after everyone set out, it was time for him and the leader, Vera to set out. As per her prior order, he was waiting for her outside as she had some business to do.

Kenshin’s eyes darted everywhere as he curiously looked around. It was a new place for him and every person walking around here was a strong hunter. He met a few strong hunters whose pressure, although not as fearsome as Vera, still something he couldn’t handle at the moment. After all, they are all higher cader officials of DCB here in Russia. It’s no wonder they are strong.

Kenshin nodded his head and accepted it. Had he not get the system, he wouldn’t have figured out what his skill truly does. Hence he wouldn’t have the qualifications to be here, like all those hundreds of thousands of hunters who didn’t have the qualifications too!

Although he didn’t believe in luck, he has still believed that it was a sort of divine intervention that he got his System. Till now he was not sure why and from whom he got it. The events of that night was a real mystery to him.

The appearance of the system, then being saved by Aoi…all these things are too coincidental. He was pretty sure that some sort of fucked up plan involved here and he was a mere chess piece in it. Although it made him endlessly angry and frustrated, he couldn’t do anything either. It's not like he could go to Aoi directly and ask her about it, can he?

His only option was to wait for the shit to happen while making preparations from his side.

Kenshin then checked himself again. He was wearing the same thing in what he came here in, only with a small addition of a long bag behind him. It held his newest long sword.

Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.

He had paid a total of 10000 G for it to the system.

The items he gathered from dungeon break incident, sold it all to Suguro for more than a million golds. With that money, he bought a few necessary stuff from the system. The prices of dungeon related stuff were very low in here than outside. Then he paid more than 20000 G to mend the armor of Roxe. It was in tatters after suffering two explosions from his Exploding Domain.

He could have bought a new one, any armor with similar properties as it was more than 50000 G in the system store. Besides, that blood armor had a property that he very much wanted to have. It didn’t show that property when Roxe wore it, but when Kenshin scanned it after killing Roxe, he found that hidden option. In certain cases, that ability could be a game changer.

As for skills, there was one skill he liked very much. It was a skill he gained after forming that contract with Core. The name of the skill was Create Dungeon.

It makes a sperate space that acts as an extension of Ekla’s garden. Although it didn’t seems like much, but to Kenshin, it was a useful skill. Because by using this skill, he can get all the buffs he was supposed to receive while inside Ekla’s garden, especially that 500% boost to all stats. He can even bring out Core temporarily to help him in the fight. Though he didn’t have fighting abilities, he can limitlessly spawn monsters.

Strategically, Kenshin was sure that he could keep up with a high-level hunter up to 50 levels higher than him and fight to a standstill. But even with all that he felt helpless when facing Vera, from this, he can conclude one fact and that was she was way too strong than him. She might even be 100 levels higher than him.

It made his heart ease a little. At least he would be safe.

An hour and a half later, finally Vera appeared in front of him. At that time Kenshin got a huge shock.

Vera no longer had that commanding and cold attitude that she showed to them a few hours ago. She had a light smile and a welcoming aura around her.

Seeing Kenshin’s large eyes, she laughed loudly.

“What? Surprised! Huh!” she asked while lifting her brows.

“Yeah!” Kenshin nodded honestly.

“Haha! Don’t worry. It was because I wanted them to listen to me without useless banters. This mission is very important and should be executed as soon as possible, with useless banters, I don’t want to waste time.” She said while signaling him to follow her.

Kenshin followed her, and soon they find themselves in a garage tent where many military-issued vehicles were parked.

“We are going on that” Vera said while pointing towards a GAZ Tiger parked to a side.

“Do you know how to drive this thing?” Vera asked looking at Kenshin.

“No. I am sorry.”

“It's okay. I will drive then. At that time, you will be on the lookout. Your report says that you have a special talent to scout out monsters, we are going to depend on that. Besides, it has a special radar that can sense monsters’ radiations from a mile away.” Vera explained while opening and closing its doors to check out if everything is okay.

“Okay.”

“Hmm! Everything seems to be okay. Get in.” She said and hopped on the driver’s seat. Kenshin also followed her and sat on the front seat. The insides of the vehicles were looking very high-tech. There were so many switches that it made his head spin.

“Let's go.” With a shout, she started the car and drove towards the gate.
