431. Doom fest (13)

-Vol 6: Dusk of An Era-

-Doom Fest(13)-

The fates of the assassins were already sealed in stone. There’s no way they could escape this doomed fate they landed themselves into. Death was the only ending they would get. The only difference would be who dies faster. Therefore, after observing their fighting and authority, Kenshin decided to kill off the girl first. She was just a helper and didn’t have any say in this mission. As for the male, he had a plan for him before he kills him for good.

The second floor had turned into rubble now, with not even a single standing wall. Even the roof was sporting many small and large holes from the effect of these hunters fighting. After all, when a few awakened hunters fight in this small space, such effect was normal. Kenshin wasn’t worried about the damage to the house, he had his [Opposites] to mend them back to their initial shape.

The battle continued for half an hour until Axel, who was only observing fight until now, sneaked an attack, puncturing the girl’s heart with his fist. A few seconds later, his outstretched fist that came out of the other side of her back glowed purple before disintegrating the girl into nothingness.

When Sakamoto saw this, he became desperate to flee. He didn’t care if he succeeds or fails the mission, he wanted to convey the message to higher-ups about the strength of this target of theirs. He was, by no means, an ordinary hunter. The guild, either should take a step back or employ better power to eradicate him. This was the message Sakamoto wanted to convey.

Coincidentally, Kenshin, too, wanted to convey the same message to them. If he simply kills them, the guild might not feel convinced and try out the same trick again. He can’t always be there to protect them, and besides, it will limit their freedom. Therefore, Kenshin wanted to use this opportunity to send back a solid message, he wasn’t someone to be trifled with.

Kenshin also knew how hard it must be for the guild to send so many assassins into the government’s territory. He was sure that that guild can’t keep sending assassins after him, it either has to take a step back or do something big. Either way, he would know before the guild finalizes on something.

“Shouldn’t we interfere with the battle upstairs?” Joy asked after drinking one more glass.

“Nah, don’t worry. My minions have it covered. You just enjoy your rum.” Kenshin shook his hand, pouring him one more cup. Even though he said this, his eyes were still glued to the screen, displaying Yui Zombie fighting against the man.

“I feel worried, though… what if our opponent doesn’t give up and continuously send assassins to hard our people?” Joy really thought deeply about this matter. Although normally he was easygoing and lazy, when it concerns his loved ones, he would take everything seriously. In the past, he only had a mother to think about, but now his little family had increased by a lot. He felt responsible for everyone.

“Joy, you! Don’t worry, I already have a solution to this problem.” Kenshin patted his chest and promised Joy. After all, these people were as much family to him as to Joy. He can’t just let anything happen to them.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“If you have already thought of this, then I will not interfere in it anymore. Ah, yes, another matter. That director, Suguro, came to our house earlier today after you left for Tokyo. He invited our party and exclusively you to a party organized to celebrate the victory of Mito over those monsters.” Joy informed.

“Oh, is that so? then we must go, why wouldn’t we go?” Kenshin agreed instantly. Why did he showcase his power? Wasn’t it to get popular? Times are going to change in the coming years, and Kenshin wanted to make a lasting impression of his team on everyone. The first step was just this, getting popular in a small city of a prefecture. There are many benefits when a party becomes world-renowned. The most glaring benefit would be getting national protection for the hunters and their family members.

Kenshin’s plan was to use his status to build a protection umbrella above his family and loved ones during the upcoming turbulent time. After all, he and his group of the small party couldn’t be able to achieve that when they will be touring all across the world on missions. For Kenshin, who always hated to be a hero, this step was very hard to take. But he relented for the sake of his family and loved ones.

The battle against that male assassin was coming to a conclusion, and Kenshin made a mental order to zombies, “let the assassin go.” At the same time employed Yui Zombie, who had the skill [Greater Concelment] to follow him. His intention was bright as the day after this assassin accomplish what he wanted him to, Kenshin would kill him off too. Nonetheless, this assassin knew too much. He will not allow him to go back and report everything in detail to his higher-ups.

“Alright, you guys go and bring back others, I am going to repair the destroyed upstairs.” After that, Kenehsin stood up and went upstairs. Now that he saw the scale of destruction with his own eyes, Kenshin couldn’t help but feel like sweating. Watching through a media and seeing with his own eyes, both were completely different. Not a single thing was in one piece, everything was destroyed to smithereens.

Shaking his head, Kenshin vowed to never make his own house as a battlefield in the future. Even if he wins, the after battle work was annoying to deal with. He continued to use [opposites] restoring everything to how they were before these assassins struck.

Sakamoto felt everything he experienced in the past few minutes was nothing but a bad dream. His confidence was shattered to pieces, and his small pride was vanquished. Not only the opponent was strong, but he was also cunning to the extreme. He even trained children in his home to powerful hunters… is that even possible?

Sakamoto could accept the woman being trained to be a powerful warrior, but what about the kids? No matter how extensive one trains them, they could never physically overpower an adult. If they used skills, Sakamoto was somewhat willing, but they really didn’t use skills. Rather only physical strength. How can children have so much physical strength?

Therefore Sakamoto made a bold guess that those kids, even that woman, all might be powerful hunters with disguising tools. Sakamoto felt the need to report this to his guild. Even if he dies or becomes a cripple, he must pass on this message. As such, playing with his life and even paying the price of one of his hands, he escaped and tried to flee. His hand was bleeding profusely but he didn’t go to a doctor, rather to a corner of an alley.

Pulling out a strange device with only a single button and a few holes in it. He pushed the only button and waited for the response to come back. This device was a hi-tech communication device that didn’t need a satellite to transmit its signal. It directly taps into the electromagnetic spectrum and operates by converting sounds waves into some other waves. It also had a dedicated receiver, which will only receive the signal from this one phone at the other end.

[^%^$&%^] a few seconds later, some gibberish was heard from the speaker in the device. Sakamoto knew now he was now connected to the headquarters.
