-Vol 5: A New Life-
-Rescue Sucess-
After coming out of the underground, Kenshin looked around for a few more seconds to confirm that everything’s clear and left a breath of relief. That plump demon scared the shit out of him. With just a punch, she killed a zombie with stats higher than his. If it was him, what would have happened? Just think about this made Kenshin shudder in fear.
After that, he looked at the two middle-aged zombies who were standing straight like a statue. Kenshin gave the zombie who was revived by [Respawn] a look. According to his skill’s notification, this zombie would never take damage to its face in the form of a punch. If so, he wanted to check out the truthfulness.
“Zombie 1 come here for a second.”
“Yes, master!” the zombie came forward and stood in front of Kenshin respectfully. To them, Kenshin was their creator, so he was their god. If he demands something, they will do it without any thought. It was loyalty ingrained of their very being, the loyalty they had towards their creator.
Kenshin clenched his fist and pulled back his punch. Looking at the zombie, he said: “Be careful, I am going to punch you in the face.” Then he with a twirl of his body, he landed a heavy punch to the zombie. The force was so high that it made the zombie fly and land a few meters away. But he quickly got up and came running at Kenshin as if nothing happened.
As for Kenshin, he had a wide-eyed look plastered on his face with his mouth hung loose. Looking at the perfect health zombie, he took a deep breath and checked his system. Above Zombie 1’s head, there was his HP, and other stats were displayed, but not a single point was lost from his total HP. Kenshin knew how much power packed in his punch, for that much force to not create single damage, it was really amazing.
‘This skill was so sick!!’ it was his conclusion after this incident. After seeing the description, he didn’t dare to believe it, but looking at it now, he found that except for believing, he had no other way. Kenshin knew zombies won't feel any pain. They were already dead, how can dead feel pain? So, he wanted to do a few more experiments.
Looking at Zombie 2, he said: “Zombie 1, go and stab Zombie 2 in the heart until he dies.”
“At your command, master.” Zombie 1 grabbed his Katana and went for Zombi 2’s heart. Since it was his master’s orders, Zombi 2 dared not disobey. He allowed Zombie 1 to stab him to death. He already died anyway.
A minute later, Zombie 2 fell to the ground and faded into fine ash after his HP reached rock bottom. After he died, Kenshin immediately used [Respawn] and revived him. As usual, an accompanying statement appeared to like what happened with Zombie 1.
[Since Zombie 2 died due to a sword to his heart, he will become invulnerable to all stab damage to heart for the next 72 hours.]
After reading it, he came closer and stared at Zombie 2’s heart, then he said: “Zombie 2 give me your sword for a second.” Hearing him, Zombie 2 handed him his sword and waited patiently for master’s next orders.
After receiving the sword, Kenshin examined it for a second before thrusting it to Zombie 2’s heart. The sword entered without any obstruction and came out of the other side. Zombie 2 stood calmly, not showing any discomfort. He can't feel any pain anyway. After thrusting the sword, Kenshin calmly observed his system, but there was no change in the health bar of the zombie, its as if there wasn’t a sword sticking out of his heart.
Stolen novel; please report.
“This is too sick!” Kenshin couldn’t keep his voice down. All kind of possibilities began to appear on his head. He started to think that if he made these zombies invincible to almost anything, they won’t they dominate any enemy? At this time, Kenshin felt his future would be smooth sailing. Before his thoughts got wild, he remembered the motive of this fight. That one million gold coins had already been added to his account, while he had saved the mystery box for later to see what’s within.
“Let’s go and help Ena to battle against the remaining one.” Kenshin ran towards the battle with Zombie 1 and Zombie 2 following behind him closely.
On the other side, the battle against the necromancer was at its climax. The seemingly unassuming man turned out to be a powerful magic skill user with a rare skill like necromancy. With his debuffing skills and skeleton summons, the battle became arduous for Joy. But with the help of Ena, they had managed to pull the battle in their favor. No matter how powerful the necromancer was, he couldn’t take the joint assault of both Joy and Ena and be on the verge of collapsing.
Now his only support was the two other people who were fighting with the other hunter. He hoped that they would finish this battle sooner and come there to help him battle against these troublesome enemies he was facing.
“give up. Necromancer. Just surrender.” Joy was still sticking to their plan. Ena suddenly ran around Joy and arrived in front of an unprepared Necromancer with her hammer blazing. But then a boney shield appeared out of nowhere and blocked the hammer, but the force still managed to throw the man a few meters behind.
“Surrender? Don’t be ridiculous. Didn’t you feel that mass of negative energy just now! Let me tell you, it belonged to one of my companions. By now, your companion might have been already dead, and his soul would have been swallowed by my companion.” The necromancer smirked and boasted. He indeed felt it when the vampire woman transformed into that plump demon. As someone from the same organization, he knew exactly what happened, and that’s why it made him very apprehensive.
“Hmph! Don’t lie. My boss is still alive. He might have already defeated the evil energy.” Ena shouted angrily with flames coming out of her ears. She pulled her hammer, from the ground and smashed it against it, creating a large dent on the concrete.
“Haha! Keep telling your self that. I know how powerful my companions are, there’s no chance your friend would survive.” With a laugh, Necromancer wiped the corners of his mouth. A small, almost unnoticeable trace of blood was flowing from his mouth. The girl’s blows were no joke. Just now, he felt all his internal organs shifting. Throughout this fight, he was avoiding any and all direct contact with the girl, even if her blows were to be blocked, the accompanying force still did much damage.
“Ena, you should go and check up on Kenshin. I will handle him for the time being.” Joy said as he came closer. After an injury, he was just sitting on the ground while the girl fought. A few minutes ago, one of the skeletons sneak attacked her, trying to stab a boney sword into her head. Joy, who saw this, came running to stop it. But he miscalculated his kick, resulting in the sword penetrating through his thighs.
“It's okay. Nothing has happened to the boss. He was very much fine. I think he will be here in a few seconds to help us out.” Ena said without looking back. She was a little different from the two middle-aged men that Kenshin created later. When he created her, he was thinking of Ellie, so Ena was formed with a personality close to that of Ellie. Of course, Kenshin was still unaware of this.
“Hmph! Keep thinking that.” Necromancer didn’t believe in what Ena said and thought that she was simply showing a brave front. He very well knew exactly what that negative energy meant, even someone who had gone through 3rd awakening couldn’t necessarily deal with it, let alone a hunter who wasn’t even gone through his first.
He firmly believed that other hunter to be dead by now and his help would be coming soon. It’s the reason why he was still hanging on despite completely exhausted.
“Okay. I have secured the box. Ena, Z1, Z2…finish him off.” Suddenly a voice was heard from Necromancer’s behind. Turning around, he saw the other hunter who should be dead right now was standing with the box in his hands. On his, both sides tow middle-aged men who looked identical stood holding two identical-looking katanas.
“Impossible! How can you be alive?” necromancer shouted in surprise. He didn’t dare to believe what he was seeing. He didn’t dare to believe that this young man had successfully defeated ‘that.’
