-Vol 4: To The North Pole!-
-The Mastermind-
[3 out of 7 pentagrams are destroyed. 4 more to go. Good Luck!]
After this notification popped up, Kenshin knew better than to hang around there. Although the earthquake won't harm him, the enemy could. He had seen it earlier how these people reacted when these pentagrams were broken. He wasn’t going to risk it.
While using his ability to its maximum, he ran away from there towards the next spot marked in the map.

Inside a luxurious room, there was a queen sized bed on which a girl as beautiful as a doll was sitting with her legs crossed. In her hand was a book that looked like a fantasy novel while on the other hand, she was holding an apple, taking bites from time to time. Her gorgeous white hair was tied in twin tails, together with her light makeup, she looked absolutely beautiful.
Suddenly the door opposite her bed slammed open, and a man dressed in a black battle garment with a long sword hanging on his waist stormed in. He had green hair that was long enough to reach his ankles, which he tied in with a red ribbon. He had a narrow face which was currently contorted in extreme rage, his green eyes were currently widened with red veins visible on his white sclera. There was a triangle like a tattoo on his forehead which was glowing a sickly green colour from time to time. From just one look, anyone could tell that he was incomparably handsome, the type who make a girl fall for them with just a smile.
But currently, this handsome man’s face cant be any more ugly for his eyes were twitching madly, and his rage was visibly changing his physical appearance.
“You lied to me!” the man came in front of the girl and shouted at the top of his lungs. But the girl didn’t even faced him and continued with her book.
“Listen, you…when I am talking, you should face me…or else!!”
“Else what? Ade’el! What can you do?” the girl looked mockingly towards the man. Then she took a big bite from the fruit she was holding and continued to her book.
“You should stop deceiving your cronies and come clear with them. Besides the game you are playing nowadays, let me remind you that it is a very dangerous game. You are nowhere ready to handle that kind of power, and what makes you think that I lied to you?”
“Then what about the current situation?” after hearing the girl’s rebuke, the man calmed himself down enough and started to think everything carefully. As for coming clean with his cronies, it was already too late for that.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
“How many times I have to remind you that my powers aren’t absolute. What I see is a probability, and probabilities can always change. It is your fault for taking it for granted and not prepared beforehand. Ade’el, just remembers that, if it isn’t for these chains, currently you wouldn’t have been shouting to me like this. Sooner or later…I will make you pay. Just you wait!” although she was threatening him, her face still maintained that calm posture as if she was talking about the weather.
Hearing her words, a smirk appeared on the man’s face. He retrieved a monocle from his chest and placed it in front of his left eye, his face instantly returned to a calm persona.
“I am hearing the same thing for past two hundred years, and you are still here, and I am still alive. Haha!” with a last mocking laugh, the man walked out of the room. The moment he was out, his smiley face instantly disappeared and replaced by a serious face. After talking with her, he realized the biggest flaw in his plans. It was that he was completely dependent on her ability, it was to the point that making his subordinates believe that it was actually him who had such ability.
He then retrieved a red crystal from his pocket and applied some of his golden energy to it. It instantly began glowing. After a few second the holographic figure of a cloaked person came into view.
“Venessa, change of plannings, we are moving to the third step at this instant. Prepare the teleportation array, I am coming. We have to open the gate no matter the consequence. I don’t know who it is that’s becoming a hindrance to our plans, but it would be better to move on to step 3 rather than wasting our time on him.”
“Understood leader” after that the figure vanished and the green haired man, Ade’el, sighed while holding his head in worry.
‘I don’t know who it was disrupting my plans, but I swear if I get hold of him, I will shred him to peace.’ Ade’el thought while walking hastily towards somewhere.

“Acho!! Aah! Looks like someone talking about me behind my back!” Kenshin mumbled while walking through a long dark cave. The location he was currently in was the farthest point showed in the map. Why he was all the way here? Well, that was because, when he reached the nearest points shown on the map, he found it was located in an extremely hidden place with many cloaked individuals guarding. It didn’t take him a second to realize that it was actually the main base of the enemy.
Although he didn’t see the exact base, he deduced that it was somewhere underground and cave before which so many cloaked people were standing guard must be the gate. Although he discovered that, he didn’t have the guts and the mood to go inside that. As such for safety reasons, he decided to go all the way to the furthest point and start from there. But after reaching that point, he discovered how hard it would be for him to destroy that pentagram.
Why? That was because this pentagram was actually deep inside a twenty-meter deep frozen lake. He didn’t know how those guys managed to do it, but it would be hard labour for him to destroy that pentagram, well unless he finds another way. After an hour of searching and fumbling the map, he finally found a possible way. Absolutely a km away from this place was a cave. Below that cave was an underground tunnel that goes just below this frozen lake. He didn’t know who dug that tunnel or for what purpose was it present there but it would help him with his task. But there was a problem, the tunnel was infested with some kind of animal. He didn’t know which animal but its number was huge, like in millions.
Again after contemplating for a few minutes, he gritted his teeth and decided to tread through the tunnel and blow the pentagram from below.
As for those animals living in that cave, he would cross that bridge when the time comes.
