-Vol 5: A New Life-
-Conclusion(5): The Date(2)-
“This place has changed so much!” Standing inside the tiny garden, which was used to be their meeting spot many years ago, Yuki muttered sadly. Back then, she wasn’t a Foreign Officer Of DCB, or Kenshin was a powerful Hunter, they were just two normal humans who found each other in an accident caused by fate and became fast friends and soon to be lovers. This had become their secret tryst spot, as both would come here after finishing daily activities and take a rest while talking with each other.
“Time passed… it's been many years since we came to this place. Even I didn’t know this place was bought by a company, let alone you. And I live in this town all these years, and this was my regular walking road… sigh…” sitting below on the artificial grass, Kenshin sighed, looking at her while muttering these.
Girls were romantic in strange ways. To commemorate their relationship, she demanded to take her to the place where they would often meet back in those days. After reaching there, they found the gate to the small park was locked tight with a security guard guarding it. After talking with him, they found out that it was no longer an accessible public place and was bought by a hotel company, to be remodeled as a garden.
The security guard oddly turned out to be a romantic type and allowed them to go inside after hearing that it was the place where they conformed their relationship courtesy of a chatty Yuki. And here they were now…
“Back then, I am used to be a normal girl with huge dreams, and you are just newbie hunter trainee… who would have thought in just 5 years we would be again standing here, after achieving our respective dreams.” Yuki sat down near Kenshin, resting her head on his shoulders while the later rested his arm around her shoulders. They were no longer shy at being physical with each other, it already been a few weeks since they have confirmed their relationship and even done mildly one like kissing.
“Yuki, can you tell me how you get to know Aoi? Before that, what happened to that guy who came with you, your admirer?” Kenshin looked at her with funny eyes.
“Him! Well, I have sent him to help out at Leena’s office. A few weeks ago, it was attacked and was reduced to rubbles. Fortunately, there were not many casualties, only property destruction. He is there, helping her out to rearrange her office and work.” Yuki said nonchalantly, but Kenshin had other ideas.
“Attacked? A DCB office that said to be one of the safest places was attacked by someone?” after all a DCB office was a place where all types of hunters gather, and even the main officer was a powerful hunter themselves, how can such a place be attacked and reduced to rubbles unless done by especially powerful foes?
“It happened a few days after we left that place. A pair of people came searching for something and raided the whole place, of course, Leena was able to kill one, but the other one managed to run away. It was yet to be clear exactly what they were looking for.” Yuki shook her head, explaining this unspeakable matter to him.
At first, she suspected it was done by the same group of people that also tried to attack her office, but she discarded that idea as the people who attacked her office had an underlying reason, which was to save their captured comrade. The attack on Leena’s office was completely random, without any rhyme or reason. It was truly mysterious to her.
‘Don’t tell me!’ Kenshin had a certain inkling after listening to it. Of course, he wasn’t sure if it's really true or not, but the pattern was somewhat familiar. ‘Are they after Axel?’ it was the conclusion he came after thinking about it for a moment. Moreover, he found Axel near that place anyway, so it might be true that the organization to which he belongs was looking for him.

‘My enemies seem to increase as the day goes by… and I have yet to put down one.’ Suddenly his mood soured at the thought of all those unfinished enemies. At the same time, he complained a lot in his heart about how enemies weren’t coming one after another like how they do in an anime or manga.
After that, both of them engaged in a light talk before it was time for them to go to that restaurant where Kenshin had booked a private table for themselves. Yuki tipped the man with a small-dollar bill and a visiting card from her purse, telling him that if he ever needs any help, he can look for her in the address given on the card. Then they left for the restaurant leaving behind a gasping guard who had lost all his cognitive ability after reading the name and occupation on the card.

“This place is really undeserving of its reputation…” Kenshin muttered as he looked at the small bowl of soup he had ordered. He had ordered a bowl of clear soup… but when it arrived, the quantity couldn't be any more than a spoonful.
“Pfft!” Yuki giggled after hearing it, wiping the corner of her mouth with the napkin, she exclaimed “It's not that it's undeserving, you have ordered an appetizer hence the quantity. If your stomach fills with only the appetizer, won’t it be a loss to them?”
“It's like that?” of course, it was his first time coming to such a huge restaurant that had an international reputation. Unlike Yuki, who had gone to many such restaurants, he had never been to one. Even after he got a mountain load of money, he never felt the need to go one. He was perfectly content with the small restaurants that would serve enough to fill his stomach and tasty to boot at prices one-third of what listed in this place.
“Yeah, now look at the menu and order something good for both of us,” Yuki said, handing Kenshin the menu book.
They both initiated in a light-hearted conversation. It was about their past, their lives while they were still pursuing their respective dreams, and also about their possible future, about how far they can go. The conversation soon derailed to sharing their silly moments with each other's friends. And finally, the time to return came.
Kenshin drove to her home and parked his car at her apartment’s front, looking at her, he said: “There it is my princess, your castle has arrived…” Kenshin joked while pointing at the flat with his index finger. His face has flushed red due to wine they drank, but his higher physique was quickly dissolving the toxins making him sober at a rapid pace.
“Hahaa! Indeed.” Yuki laughed lightly, her face was also flushed red due to the wine, but unlike Kenshin, she wasn’t sober completely. Fumbling around the seatbelt to remove it, she tried to open the door to get out but was stopped when Kenshin grabbed her hand and pulled her towards him.
“Hum!” surprised, before she realized, a pair of lips touched hers. Her eyes widened as she realized what happened but didn’t resist, closing her eyes, she gave out a moan and reciprocated the implied feelings. She steadily circled her arms around his head, pulling him closer as they kissed like the couple they were. Pretty soon, their tongues were also involved in the act, with each asking permission to enter the other’s mouth with their eyes.
Permission granted as a fierce war of dominance was fought with their tongues as their vanguard. With no one losing or wining, they came into a truce, simultaneously exploring each other.
“Haaah! That was amazing… where did you learn to kiss like that?” Yuki asked as she gasped for breath. The kiss was so intense that it made her do something embarrassing.
“Internet and instinct!” at Kenshin’s curt reply, Yuki couldn't help but smile. Though her mind was hazy due to alcohol, she hadn’t lost her reasonings at all. Grabbing into Kenshin’s head once more, she repeated what he did just a few minutes ago.
After stopping once more due to lack of air, they both gasped for air while panting heavily. Even Kenshin with his superhuman physique was gasping, that’s how intense was their kiss. They both looked at the eyes of each other and found an undeniable emotion of desire on it. Both of them blushed simultaneously while going for another kiss, it seems they have become addicted to kissing.
After finishing another round of tongue battle, Yuki grabbed his collar, looking at him with her hazy eyes, she asked: “how about we go to my room, and we can continue this?”
Kenshin felt ashamed at not being one to propose this, but he would be a fool to reject this, especially when the green light was blinking so brightly. So he leaned towards her and lightly pecked her lips before giving a “Let’s.”
And thus, they consummated their relationship under the bright moon through the window of her bedroom. That night they forgot about each other's problem, their responsibilities. They only cared about the partner they have in their arms and the love they shared.
