-The Dungeon Break(2)-
In was the middle of the night when the entire Mito was sleeping, a hooded figure was running so fast that afterimages were visible. Since the road lacked any obstacle or people, the figure was easily navigating through it. In fact, this person’s running style was weirdly similar to gliding.
This hooded person was none other than Kenshin. By training all day, he had managed to learn two more skills.
Unarmed Combat Expertise and Highspeed Movements.
As the name suggests, the first skill encompasses all the moves performed without the use of a weapon. The skill was now at level 2 and increases 1% ATK when he was not holding a weapon. It increased by 0.5% per level, whats more, this can be stacked with Sword Mastery skill he learned earlier, providing 2% total ATK buff.
As for the other skill, it was a little tricky. Kenshin hadn’t actively tried to learn this skill. It suddenly appeared after he managed to learn Unarmed Combat Expertise. He had a faint inkling from where this skill appeared. All those highspeed training he did after realizing that he was not getting tired attributed for this skill. This skill does two things to him, one, it increases his perception and reaction time. Two, it reduces friction between his body and any other physical entity around him. For example, right now, while he was running at a very high speed, the air resistance he felt was near negligible. Currently, this skill was only level 1 and provides a 1% increase in perception and decrease in friction, but the difference it made was huge.
As for why he was running in the middle of the night, it was because an emergency had occurred. A few minutes ago Suguro had called him, bearing a very bad news. The dungeon was behaving very strangely. From this sentence alone, he realized what was happening. It was as Core said, the dungeon was going to crumble.
Hearing this, he immediately sprinted towards the dungeon. What had him surprised and a little anxious was that it was all happening earlier than anticipated. Core predicted all this to happen after three or four days, but the situation deteriorated only after a day. It proved that core was telling the truth, someone was behind all this. According to Core, only a conceptual being like him can do it. If this was true then the culprit was a core of another dungeon. The only problem was this new core was more powerful than Ekla’s core, making him unable to fight it.
With every passing second, Mito was one step closer to destruction. Kenshin hastened his pace, becoming a blur even to a highspeed camera. His +40 points of agility were not for show, added to it was the new passive skill, and the speed becomes phenomenal.
A few minutes later, Kenshin reached his location. He was a little out of breath, but overall he was not tired by much. Right now, Ekla’s Garden was surrounded by the military cordon, restricting everyone’s access save for government officials. Some hunters were standing nearby, showing their discontent, but these military men were not easily swayed.

Kenshin walked hastily towards the office. Just when a military man was about to halt him, he flashed his DCB license, making him perturbed for a second. Then that military man gave him a nod and allowed him to enter.
Seeing him enter elicited some of the hunters nearby. They showed their discontent even more violently.
“What the hell!? You military dogs, how can you allow him to enter, but not us?” a brash hunter shouted loudly as he stomped on the ground, making cracks appear everywhere.
“You dogs! How can you be this partial?” another one shouted.
“If this was how you are gonna behave then don’t blame us for not respecting the government!” a burly hunter shouted while slamming his overly big ax on the ground. A blue glow appeared around it before the ground near it separated into two.
When Kenshin, who was not far from them heard this his brows furrowed in frustration. These military men were not hunters, they were only normal humans, but still, they were here, doing their duty and safeguard the dungeon. Whereas, these hunters were being brazen and threatening them with their power. In fact, these hunters were the first one to run in the face of this approaching trouble but they had the gall to threaten these military men who were only doing their duty diligently.
He couldn’t take it.
Turning around, he used a skill that was best suited for this situation.
[Ding* you used the skill Death Stare]
[-19MP][-5 WIL]
Suddenly a cold wind blew through all the rioting hunters as shivers emerged from their very spines. A kind of primal fear rose from their hearts; they felt like they were being stared at by a grim reaper, ready to reap their lives. They started to feel nauseous while their body stopped moving as if it was paralyzed. Some of the weaker minded ones had already lost their consciousness.
It was the first time, Kenshin used this skill. He even used his WIL to enhance it further. The effect it had was astonishing, to say the least.
At first, the military men were all surprised and a little alert, but finding the cause of it which was due to the purple glowing eye Kenshin, they relaxed. The captain of the military forces gave him a respectful salute, nodding towards them, Kenshin went on his way.
After a few seconds, the effect of the skill had worn out. But none of these rowdy hunters dared to move, they even not made a single squeak. That’s because they had seen Kenshin’s glowing eyes and after that, they realized their condition just now. A seed fear was planted in their hart, even after Kenshin left, this fear remained. It will probably remain till the day they die.
Even the taunting stare of these military men did nothing to make them misbehave. Some of the hunters even left the place hastily, afraid that Kenshin would come back again.

Kenshin ran towards Suguro’s chambers and knocked on his office’s door. On the way, he had seen how all these employees look grave and nervous. He realized that the situation might have already escalated out of their control.
He was even more determined to accept Core’s proposal right now. He wants to do everything in his power to stop this approaching tragedy. Although it was already too late, he didn’t want to give up just yet.
Afterall, Mito was his home.
