-Vol 3: Enemies in The dark-
-Doi’s Shock!-
In the spacious room, Kenshin and Doi sat looking at each other. There was an awkward silence between them. Kenshin had many questions to ask but didn’t know how to start. And Doi was too proud to start a conversation with a low leveled hunter like Kenshin. Eventhough he’s the family of one of his students.
The awkward silence continued for some time before Kenshin broke it with a fake cough.
“Sir, can I know what are you teaching to my sister?” Kenshin politely asked.
But Doi remained silent as if he didn’t listen to his question. He simply fished out his smartphone and fiddled with it.
Seeing this, Kenshin couldn’t help but frown. This teacher was uselessly proud! He was just asking a question; this teacher was ignoring him like he was beneath his attention?
“Sir! I am asking a question…” Kenshin politely started but was interrupted when the teacher was put forth his hand in a gesture to stop his mouth.
“Right now I am reading a something. Don’t disturb me. I don’t have time to converse with the likes of you” Doi said with a straight face. He didn’t care if Kenshin’s feelings are hurt or not. To him, so what if he hurt his feelings? He couldn’t be amount to anything much in his life, people like him are meant to be stepped on.
In fact, he decided to warn this man to stay out of Akari’s life. From what he had seen today; student Muto was very attached to this man. If he’s an influential or powerful person then it wouldn’t be of any problem, but he was just a simple low leveled hunter. Nothing good will come from associating with such a person.
“Mr. Kenshin, right! Listen, I am giving you a very good advice” he started. Kenshin started hearing with rapt attention, curious about what he will say.
“Student Muto is a very talented student in our academy. Not only she’s diligent in her studies, she is also a hardworking girl. Recently our academy decided to open a special class where students like her would be selected to attend a very special training. After the completion of the training, she would be able to work in a special ops directly under the government. Her future is virtually very bright. For someone as bright as her, I don’t want a person like you to hold her back. My advice, if you want to see your sister being a successful person in her life, you better not disturb her.” Doi said while fiddling with his phone. He had said in such a way that it would serve as a warning to him. This Doi was telling him to break all relations with Akari and stop approaching her entirely.

Him!
This Doi, he was asking him, her brother to stay away from the sister!
Ridiculous!
Suddenly the atomspheric temperature increased by several folds. Doi felt like he was sitting on a hot day of summer while wearing thick clothes. Beads of sweat started to flow from his brows and all over his body. But he didn’t dare to wipe it.
Right now his eyes were glued to Kenshin’s form which was emitting a faint red glow. Doi’s eyes were already narrowed to needle points. Every single nerve on his body was screaming him to run as far as away from this place. It was like standing face to face in front of a very powerful monster.
Every person had a breaking point and an absolute boundary. Until that boundary wasn’t touch everything was okay. But once it was touched, even a normal person turns into a ferocious beast.
For Kenshin, that boundary was his family which contains only his sister. As long as nothing happens to her and their relationship due to others, he will be okay. But if anyone dared to do anything to hamper their relationship, he wouldn’t spare them.
Accept this man’s offer and stay away from his sister! That’s impossible. Why would he, the brother stay away from his sister!? It doesn’t make any sense. Things like this should only remain in drama novels or TV series, in real life one shouldn’t take such decisions.
He wouldn’t be foolish enough to do that mistake.
He slowly got up from his chair and walked towards Doi. By now he had already drenched in sweat. Not only it was from the high temperature of the room, but also from the fear he was feeling from Kenshin’s aura.
“You!! What do you want?” Doi stammered as he saw Kenshin rapidly closing on him.
But he didn’t reply, grabbing Doi’s collar, he lifted him to his face level. Slowly Kenshin opened his eyes and looked at Doi. Red angry pupils stared at black frightened ones.
“Listen here, She is my sister. You are asking me, her brother to stay away from his sister? Are you even human? Her bright future! I know how bright her future is. You don’t have to tell me that. As for not associating with people like me, its actually a moot point. I am her brother and you expect me to stay away from her? Huh!” Kenshin asked.
“Hii!!!” Doi shouted in fright. Even with his strength as a gold level hunter, he still couldn’t budge Kenshin’s hands from his collar.
Just what was the power level of this man? Wasn’t he suppose to be only a low-level hunter? How can a low-level hunter possess so much power? Nothing made any sense to him. Just who was this monster?
“You just threatened me right? Just wait, I will make your life miserable” saying so, he threw him to the ground like a garbage and angrily walked towards his phone.
This Doi, did he took him for a pushover? Even if he didn’t have his current strength, he still would have fought with him on this matter. And now he had enough power and strength. If he left this man unscathed, then he should be ashamed of himself.
From his spot on the ground, Doi could only watch in horror as Kenshin called someone. From this little episode, he understood that Akari’s background wasn’t as simple as it looks. This young man, who was her brother was clearly a magic skill user.
For a magic skill user, the government can do almost anything to be on their side. This man was clearly a part of the government. And he had pissed this man in his arrogance.
His life was over!!
