206. Chapter 206

-Vol 5: A New Life-

After walking another half an hour through the gloomy, swamp marsh, Kenshin came across another Level 40 monster. It's of the same breed as the croc he just killed, but it looked a little small than that. Its ferociousness was also nowhere close to that, but then again, they did have a feign skill so they can pretend almost any expression to fool their enemy.

The monster was feeding on a large fish, it's every bite took a chunk of flesh weighing more than a few kilograms. It was so engrossed in its meal that it didn’t notice Kenshin’s presence. This time Kenshin no longer used his skill on the target, he came here to possibly train his body so usage of skill would make the whole thing useless. He also had no desire for this pocket change experience values.

At first, he thought he would wait for the croc to finish its meal before initiating a fight with it, after a few minutes he became impatient and stomped on the tail of the monster to get its attention.

With a roar that shook the whole forest, it moved around to glare at the creature that disturbed its meal. Before it could have a clear look at the creature that disturbed it, Kenshin’s punch ripped through the air and landed heavily on its scaly cheeks. As his fist landed on its cheeks, a booming noise, akin to a bomb’s exploding produced sending the animal spinning. Kenshin didn’t hold back with that punch, the result was more than 60% depletion of the croc’s HP.

But it had the desired result…

The croc roared to the sky and charged at Kenshin with all the force it could muster. A faint red aura was coming off its body giving it a ferocious vibe. Kenshin could even see small veins bursting all over its body. It’s now enraging.

It came near him with its mouth wide open to engulf him whole. Lifting his hands lazily, he grabbed the two opened jaws of the croc, stopping it from advancing any further. The force behind the charge of the croc made Kenshin slide back a few steps, making deep footprints on the ground. The croc added more force behind its jaws to close them as well as on its hind legs to make Kenshin lose his balance, but it was all for naught. He couldn’t even make Kenshin lean back, let alone make his imbalanced.

Using his force, Kenshin slowly made the croc close its jaws. A normal crocodile has around 16,460 newtons of bite force. Compared to them, this monster was at least five times stronger. Its bite force should be many times stronger than normal crocs, together with the skill called Bite, the force behind its jaws could tear even the sturdiest of the metal on earth like its paper. But, with his hands alone, Kenshin stopped its advance and also slowly forced its jaws close.

Such strength was impossible to even if with the stats Kenshin possessed right now. But he had yet to realize it. Chucking everything to his abnormal stats, he continued doing some impossible shit.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

After forcefully closing its jaw, Kenshin lifted his left foot and gave it lower jaw a devastating kick, chipping away its remaining HP. The croc used every and all skills at its disposal to make Kenshin lose, but in the end, it was pummeled to the ground and flattened like a dough within a few seconds.

After killing, Kenshin continued on his warpath, spilling the blood of many such monsters. His target was to force, the boss of this dungeon, as well as, the unique monster that would eventually spawn by the power of his system for killing monsters this fast. This already happened twice. One was when he killed all those skeletons, and the second was when he was defending the dungeon during Dungeon Break.

He could still somewhat blurrily remember its stats; it had a skill that could make all the physical blows powerless and an HP value that could make anyone despair. But at that time, Kenshin's title bonus had increased his ATK so much that it died with a casual swing on his part. But from those two instances, he discovered the uniqueness of his system and its connection to the dungeons. It didn’t happen while he was in the north, slaughtering those monkeys left and right.

Kenshin wanted to test if his conjecture was right or not, and thus he indiscriminately killed monsters. He wanted to see if there would be a unique monster appear before him if he kills monsters fast enough. The level 40 monsters’ scarcity also made him hesitate for some time and anxious of the future.

Towards the end of the swamps, where the boss supposed to appear, Kenshin found an abundance of level 40 monsters instead. But they were all busy pushing down each other. It looked disgusting as well as oddly fascinating. It's like looking at a particular channel that would often show animals and now monsters daily lives. And then it clicked him; it might be the season of their breeding. Maybe that’s why all the higher tier monsters gone to their breeding grounds to get busy, leaving behind all the lower tier monsters to hold the fort.

Watching all this, Kenshin felt that he shouldn’t intrude upon them at this time and become their c**kblocker. He felt that if he blocks them at this time, he might invite their collective wrath.

The breeding ground was huge, at least a few acres, filled to the brim with crocs of all shape and sizes. There were even a few white colored crocs surrounded by a huge group of green, strong looking ones. These white crocs were incomparably proud, not even sparing a glance at the green ones.

Seeing this, Kenshin had a feeling that they might be the females while the green ones were males. The males were trying to woo the white females, but these proud bunch didn’t even spare them a glance.

To their left, he could see a white one being dragged off and rode like a horse by a sturdy green one. Around them stood a few more green ones, probably waiting for their turn. Every now and then, the remaining white ones would look at that direction before moving their necks away. Its as if they were calling that particular white one a wh**e.

“Typical jealous females!” Kenshin mused loudly.

His enthralled gaze finally landed upon a big, red-colored crocodile surrounded by at least ten slender looking crocodiles and all of them were white, a few are yellow in between, but the white was the dominant color.

This crocodile was doing its thing atop an elevated place.

“That must be the chief of this group! But where is the boss?” he again asked the question himself while inspecting the whole surrounding. Every now and then he would check his map to find if he had missed something or lost some hidden path.

Finding no sign of the boss anywhere, he sighed dejectedly and threw a glance at the busy couples below him.

“Do I really have to become a c****block?”
