-Vol 4: To The North Pole!-
-Death(2)-
Never in her life had Lyda thought that there would come a day where she would eat a loss while dealing with a being weaker than her. She could just tell by looking at Kenshin that he was weak, way weaker than the girl she defeated earlier in only three moves. But then why? Why did she eat loss just now?
And then those weird flames! What are they? Not only they are incomparably hot, but also they did more damage to her than any flame type skill was capable of.
Exactly what was going on here? Who is this guy? These thoughts floated on her mind as she inspected Kenshin warily. She had to admit that she was a little afraid. If this man’s level were higher than her, then she wouldn’t be scared, but he was clearly weak. But even so, his attack was enough to hurt her.
What kind of concept is this?
For a second she thought that this guy might have a Divine Skill, but she immediately scrapped that idea. If it was a Divine Skill, then there should be a holy feeling emanating from those flames, but what she felt was endless bloodlust from them.
Then there were the Demonic Skills, but humans of this realm have yet to come in contact with the demons, so that was impossible. Besides she couldn’t feel that tainted feeling the demonic skills usually contain.
This left only one thing, the so-called Intent. But how can be an Intent be this powerful? Nothing made sense anymore to Lyda. In the end, she decided to eliminate this threat as soon as possible to avoid any future problems. There was another thought where she wanted to capture him and study, but she didn’t want to take any chances.
A pale yellow colour aura came from her body before surrounding her every part. Her white hair started to float on air like they have their own mind. A sickly red gate phased into existence behind her back and opened slowly. After the gate was opened completely, a long snake came out of it. By size, this snake was even bigger than the monkey. But it was only as thick as the thigh of a person. The snake coiled around Lyda before looking at her with its murky green eyes, as if awaiting her orders.
This snake was one of the strongest ones in her collections. Unless she meets a foe that she was serious about, she won't summon them. And the current Kenshin was enough to make her serious.
“Kill him.” pointing a slender finger towards Kenshin, she ordered the snake.
The snake actually nodded its head and slowly slithered towards Kenshin. Its green eyes glared at Kenshin with malice. As a fairly high levelled monster, it had enough intelligence to understand the situation. It was clear that unless its mistress faces a formidable foe, she won’t summon it.
That’s why it didn’t underestimate its foe.
Slowly circling around the enemy and attacking it bit by bit with its poison until its dead, it was the strategy it uses usually. Today too, it decided to use that strategy. Its more than hundred-meter body circled around Kenshin, forming a big perimeter.

Not minding the snake, Kenshin headed towards the still Lyda with his hands blazing in purple fire. But as he was about to step outside the perimeter, the snake's body raised suddenly and stopped Kenshin’s advance.
Kenshin’s body bent like a bow at the sudden impact with the snake’s body. The snake was unusually strong, as it could remain unfazed by the purple flames burning on Kenshin’s body. At that time its body moved and slammed onto his body, sending him into the middle again.
The impact was apparently high enough for the current Kenshin to handle. He kneeled on the spot for quite sometime before he could regain his bearings. Suddenly, as if angered by the snake, the flames flared again, covering Kenshin entirely. After some time it receded, but the appearance had changed again. The armours in his body had become even more robust and prominent. The flickering of the flames had become more intense.
Standing up slowly, Kenshin walked towards the snake’s head. Now that he was attacked by it, he had changed his target towards it. He appeared within an instant with his hands raised in a punching pose toward’s the snake's head. But the snake easily avoided his punch and moved its head to collide with his sides.
Kenshin was thrown off to the middle again from the force of the strike, but this time he wasn’t that affected by it. It was clear that the armours in his body didn’t change by appearance only. Its sturdiness had also increased by leaps and bounds. After managing to regain his balance, he again ran towards the snake’s head.
But this time the snake didn’t allow it to come closer. From that earlier interaction, it was clear about Kenshin’s strength and weakness. It realized that not only that weird armour on his body was strong, but also it had a burning property attached to it. That burning property was strong enough to affect it, someone with very high heat resistance.
Now it understood why its mistress had summoned it. This human was a weird one, despite being weak, he had enough power to cause it damage. And judging from that half-burned cloak on its mistress’s body, it was even more sure that the damage output of this human wasn’t any weaker than its mistress. Its mistress seemed to have eaten a loss from this human.
Opening its wide mouth, it sprayed a putrid liquid into Kenshin’s approaching form. The fluid was vile green in colour and had a peculiar smell. Not only that, when some of it landed on the snowy ground, it instantly melted the snow and vaporized the water. The corrosiveness of the liquid was astonishing.
As if sensing the danger those fluids contain, Kenshin immediately jumped back to avoid being sprayed by it. Although currently, he had lost his reasonings, his battle instinct was sharper than ever. Even though he had never been on the receiving end of such attack, he was still able to discern that it was dangerous for him.
Seeing that Kenshin’s retreated, the snake opened its mouth again and sprayed out a dark green gas all over the enclosed space. The gas immediately surrounded the whole place that was enclosed by its body. This gas was a highly lethal poison that had some corrosive property.
When Kenshin inhaled it, his vision swam as he became light-headed. The flames in his body also flickered as if it will go out at any moment. His movements became sluggish as if he was drunk. Then the situation became worse as he was unable to stand up and kneeled down.
Seeing that its strategy was working wonderfully, the snake became happy and pumped out even more poison from its mouth. Suddenly at that time, the dragon head on his tail became active, its eyes started to glow red, and it opened its mouth. A suction force emerged from its mouth and began swallowing the poisonous green gas that was all around, suffocating Kenshin.
The suction force increased so did the absorption speed of the green gas. As the time passed, the downed Kenshin suddenly regained his energy and wobblingly stood up. His red eyes intensified again, and the purple flames in his body started to strengthen slowly.
But suddenly the redness in his eyes vanished and returned to his normal black colour. Similarly, the previous savageness had also disappeared and replaced by the intelligence of a human. The purple flame armour on his body had also disappeared, with the dragon-headed tail that was absorbing the green gas.
Then his eyes lost focus, and he fell down on his back. His body slowly melted by the green coloured gases. Before long, only white bones remained on what used to be Kenshin’s body.
He died!!
Muto Kenshin was melted to death!
