-Vol 3: Enemies in The dark-
-Akari’s Return-
When Kenshin opened his eyes, he thought he would find himself in a hospital or at least in the place where he had lost his consciousness.
“This is not any of those two!” he muttered while inspecting the bright room he was laying in. It would be a stretch to call it a room as the cave is more suited for the place he was laying in. But the walls are shiny and without a spot or dirt. Looking down, he found himself laying on a stone bed. His clothes are still on, and he didn’t have a bandage on his body.
He nodded to himself; of course, he didn’t have any injuries. Those monsters didn’t manage to put a scratch on his body, let alone injure him. A smirk formed on his face when he thought about it.
He was getting sidetracked! Shaking his head, Kenshin forced himself back from his memory lane. There was no use thinking of the past; he must find where he was before going back to his home. By now the events of Dungeon Break should have reached all over the world, his sister must be distraught after seeing it. He must reach his home as soon as possible.
When he put his leg on the ground and tried to stand up, a wave of weakness hit him. His vision swam, and he nearly collapsed on the ground.
“This is!” Kenshin tried to think of the reasons before coming blank. He summoned his system to have a look.

Many things were missing and added to his stats. For example, three of his equipment had disappeared, probably because it was broken. Then came the status, it was a new function his system was showing now. Currently, it was showing weakened.
Probably it was the reason for his current status.
Since he was frail right now, he should just take it easy. The fact that he was still alive proves that the one who had put here didn’t mean any harm to him. Slowly, he closed his eyes and comfortably slept.
…
Several hours later, he woke up again.
“AAh!!” Kenshin screamed in fright. That’s because there was a face so close to him that it scared the shit out of him.
“Why are you shouting?” it was Core.
“Shit! Why are you so close to me just now?” Kenshin asked after being frightened by the misleading scene.
“I was checking if you have any fever or not!” Core answered. His innocent face coupled with that fake nieve attitude really could convince someone.
“I don’t have a fever” Kenshin answered hurriedly, lest he comes again so close to him.
“How are you feeling?” Core asked.
“Good, a little weak but fine,” Kenshin said after inspecting his body.
“Is that so, then rest a little more.” Core said while walking to the wooden chair next to his bed and sat down comfortably.
“How was the dungeon’s status? How long was I out for?” Kenshin asked. It was what bugging him for some time.
“Everything is okay. I had regained approximately 98% of my ability and control over this dungeon. Right now, I have stopped all the respawning of the monsters, so it was relatively safe inside here. And you are unconscious for two days.”
“Is that so! That’s fine then…wait, what? Two days?” Kenshin sighed in relief. Everything he did last night was all for Mito. But then hearing the number of days he was out for, a scream left his throat.
Are you kidding? Two days? Is he joking?
Seeing Core’s face, Kenshin shook his face. No, he wasn’t, but for two days he was out! His sister and Suguro must be worried sick. He must go, no matter what.
After sleeping for some time, he was feeling okay. Standing up, he held the wall for support and walked out.
“You are going?” Core asked.
“Yeah. Its been two days already. I can’t delay it for any longer. I must go, people must be worried for me” saying so, he went out.
“Okay see you later,” Core said his goodbye.
Nodding his head, Kenshin left the place. It was time for his return.
…
Two days was more than enough to send everyone related to Kenshin to a panic. The first in the list was his sister, Akari. When she heard that Mito was under attack of monsters, she was so worried that she applied for a leave from his school.
Due to her status as a model student, the school immediately agreed to her application. They even sent a teacher with her as an escort. Worried for her, her roommates also prepared to go with her.
Within a day, they left for Mito. From their Academy to Mito, the travel time was 5 hours. They used the train to come as Mito’s airlines were temporarily down. After reaching Mito, they immediately booked a cab and came to her home. It was a two hours travel, during their journey, they saw the real horror of dungeon break happened the day before yesterday.
Seeing this, Akari’s worries increased even more. From yesterday, Kenshin wasn’t picking his phone, and now it was dead. Her friends tried to comfort her, but her fears didn’t lessen. She was afraid that he had faced with some accident. She was repeatedly telling herself that nothing happened, but her worried heart didn’t calm down.
After reaching her home, she finally knew why.
Her brother was missing for two days.
