Just for the sake of checking out the enemy’s power, the Adams couple decided to check out the battle location. To such experienced hunters, a battlefield could tell many stories that would normally be missed by others.
“This kind of destruction, it’s indeed the work of a semi-ascended monster. Such wide-scale destruction wasn’t possible by an entity smaller than 10 meters, definitely not a humanoid. It was indeed the work of a Mountain Ape, the monsters of the 5th floor in a level 10 dungeon. It seems Vera has really encountered a summoner, that could tame a level 150 monster. Such rare talent!” the burly man spoke while inspecting the destructions.
“According to the report that summoner seemed to be protecting something here, let's look around in case we find some clues.” The woman said as they both walked straight towards the massive hole in front of them.
“It's pretty deep. That creature’s height might be beyond that of 10 meters, now it’s a real wonder how she escaped there with no harms to done to her.” While stroking his beardless chin, the man muttered.
“Who cares? As long as she survived that’s enough.” The woman standing beside him harrumphed.

“Well, let’s go. I don’t think that woman would be here anymore. It happened yesterday after all.” The man reasoned and urged them to move on.
Just as the woman was about to agree, suddenly they both felt a dangerous and aggressive aura seeping out of somewhere. While inspecting, they discovered that it came from the hole which they were just investigating. Looking at each other's face in amazement, they slowly prepared their weapons.
Taking a deep breath, Mr Adams shouted at the top of his lungs, “Who is there?”
After that, they waited for a second for a reply. After some time they finally get a reply, not a verbal one but a living one. A woman with crumpled and half burned white hair leapt out with her yellow slitted eyes gleaming with killing intent. Her tongue was hanging outside like that of a snake.
Without even thinking twice, the Adams couple recognized her as a member of the white snake tribe and was the same woman who was reported by Vera. The moment they recognized her as if a transformation has occurred, Mrs Adams looked like she had a thousand-year-old grievance with her.
“Honey, leave this one to me. I alone, want to kill it,” she spoke with a solemn tone which contained an edge of warning to it. Hearing it, the man sighed and stepped back at the same time a sorrowful light flashed on his eye.
Although they were a couple for three decades, they still didn’t have a child of their own. After visiting many talented doctors, the couple discovered that the problem actually lied with Mr Adam. For some reason, his body had a weird disease that makes his sperms powerless. According to the doctor, his sperms were all blank without essence. The revelation caused a massive blow to the couple, especially Mr Adams, whose pride had been hurt badly.

But their love was strong, even after discovering the problem, Mrs Adams didn’t lessen her love for Mr Adam. In fact, throughout the years their love for each other had increased by leaps and bounds. They had long surpassed the level of ‘dying for each other’ and stepped into the realm of ‘can’t live without you’.
Ten years ago, while eth couple was on vacation to Russia, they discovered a young girl who was running from someone. After saving her, they found that she was running away from her home and the man who was chasing her was her abusive father. Getting teary eyed at her story, the Adams couple, especially Mrs Adams wanted to adopt the child. All it took was a little money and usage of their status, and everything went smoothly. The child they adopted also seemed to be very happy to be separated from her parents. That child was none other than Vera. Mrs Adams really loved Vera, as someone who could never have a child, she poured all her maternal love to little Vera.
When she discovered that this wretched creature had dared to hurt her baby, how could she spare her? Her maternal anger flared, and she decided to kill that creature alone. When seeing such a Mrs Adams, who could the bear-like man dare to intervene? He did the same thing as every intelligent man would have done at this situation, he stepped out of the way.
“Eh!! You want to face me alone? You are underestimating me too much human!” Lyda screamed at the top of her lungs. The Adams couple weren't exactly secretive when they spoke as such, it was all heard by her. Her anger soared instantly. She couldn’t tolerate anyone belittling her.
“I am alone was enough for you.” Mrs Adams tone was as cold as the snow around them. With a glared that could freeze the hell itself, she retrieved her bow, Gandiba and pulled the string of it. With a blue glow, a transparent glass-like arrow materialized on the bow, its pointed end contained some red colour aura that looked very threatening.
Swish*
Making a swish sound, the arrow left the bow and speed towards Lyda while creating air rings throughout the way. Before Lyda could prepare herself, the arrow was already on her face. Using every bit of agility and flexibility of her snake-like body, she jumped to her right to avoid the arrow just at the nick of the time. The arrow, after missing her, travelled unobstructed before disappearing in the horizon.
That one arrow was enough to make Lyda understand the power of her enemy. Her anger instantly faded as she became clearheaded. She understood that her opponent was stronger than her, probably a backup from those guys fled yesterday. She finally understood in how much deep shit she was in now.
As such, she tried to flee, like the snake she was.
But Mrs Adams, who was trying to revenge her adopted daughter, allow her to flee? She instantly pulled the string of Gandiba, this time three arrows formed. Unlike the blue arrow she fired earlier, this arrow was silver in colour that had some kind of runes running through them. Pointing her bow toward the sky, she shot the arrows. The instant the arrows left, she pulled the string again and made another three silver arrows to appear. She fired it again. Like this, she rapid fired ten arrows in succession towards the sky.
The silver arrows flew to the sky then they fell down like raindrops around her and a rapidly fleeing Lyda, forming a perfect circle around them. Then suddenly those silver arrows glowed as silver coloured pillars emerged from them going as high as twenty meters. Then a silver coloured barrier formed and circled around them through the pillars as a medium. Lyda also noticed them, but she was too close to them. Just as she touched the barrier, she was zapped with a high voltage electric current that appeared out of nowhere. She fell down twitching her back first, like a monkey that mistakenly touched an exposed wire.
