-Vol 5: A New Life-
-Reversal(1)-
*Boom! Crack!!
A figure was seen flying like a rock thrown by a person, arcing in mid-air. After being airborne for some time, it landed heavily on the ground, creating a long trench with a crater at the end. The ground around the crater suddenly churned, and a figure raced out of it, leaving a long trail of upturned ground behind.
A ball of black shadow followed behind, also targeting the person inside the crater. Finally, a huge shadow was cast everywhere as a massive white-furred monkey came running at the crater. Its massive body shook the very ground of the dungeon that harbored many vicious monsters.
The person who was sent flying was none other Kenshin, due to a well-timed punch aimed at him by the monkey. After killing the crow, he discovered that the monsters suddenly became more aggressive and daring, but at the same time cautious. Its as if they were being controlled actively.
“Give up human, and die by my hands. After killing you, I will go for that bitch… and I will not even spare anyone related to you…” a very vicious sounding voice said as a huge centipede came into view with a very beautiful lady standing on top of its head. It was she who just threatened Kenshin.
“Don’t act like you’ve won just yet, snakey. As long as I’m still standing, forget about leaving with your head intact. I have yet to fall from your pathetic attacks…” Kenshin replied. Her repeated taunts had already annoyed him to the point that he couldn't keep his cool. Moreover, her taunts were always aimed at either his family or Vera, making Kenshin very anxious. It had solidified his decision to simply kill her when this is over, instead of sparing her.
“Hmph! You’re a dead man walking. Indeed, you aren’t dead yet, but for how long? Sooner or later, I will kill you.” Lyda snarled, a little peeved at his nickname for her. Gritting her teeth, she retorted with whatever came to her mind. Also, her anger had transformed into a towering rage after Kenshin killed her crow. She had promised herself to go on a crusade until Kenshin was finally killed.
“Dead man? Snakey, you need a pair of glasses. Want me to recommend a pair? Huh? But, I can't blame you for that. You have, after all, already lost your mind back when you were in the north, didn’t you?” Kenshin smirked.
“You bastard! Die!” Lyda exploded again, commanding her minions in her head to kill Kenshin with everything they had.
The first one to react was the darkness enshrouded fallen angel. He conjured a few weapons out of pure darkness swirling around him and attacked Kenshin with the projectiles. The swords, shields, hammers, and harpoons… Let’s just say the many weapons were arranged neatly in front of the angel and launched at Kenshin with the intent of shredding him up.
After being nearly hacked to death, Kenshin had stopped blabbering nonsense and instead opted to fight with it seriously. It proved to be the trickiest opponent out of them all. His level was weakest, his HP was small, but his collection of skills were what gave Kenshin nightmares.

The swords that were descending suddenly vanished in a plume of black smoke. Already being a victim of such attack twice, Kenshin knew what would follow. As such, he employed [Five Point Movement] and his humongous stats to back away with his maximum speed. He zigzagged across the surface and backed away with a frown marring his face.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
With a huge explosion, holes in the shape of small craters formed on the ground in front of him and continued to follow him with speed a little slower than him. Just as he was about to step back once again, a green tentacle burst out of the ground and wrapped around his ankles.
“Shit!” Kenshin cursed before his body was assaulted with a few of the dark angel’s attacks. At that time, a huge shadow was cast upon him as a large foot that looked like a hand descended upon him. The leg continued on its way to stomp on him until Kenshin regained his bearing and escaped into the ground using Burrow.
But he didn’t escape unscathed. A red-colored damage value that showed [-12,457] floated above his head. The stomp of the monkey must have penetrated the ground, moreover, when he was attacked by the stomp, his DEF broke unexpectedly, causing him to bear the full brunt of the damage. Each stomp caused over 2k damage, and with three stomps, Kenshin had received a total of 6k damage in just a second. He had also fallen into a ‘stunned’ state for a fraction of second.
“Damn! I’ll really die at this rate!” Kenshin growled as he nursed his health. Buying a Superior HP potion, which cost him 20 gold, he downed it in one go. His HP bar started to rise at an alarming rate, and before long it was filled to the max. Even the wounds on Kenshin body healed to the point of showing smooth pinkish skin beneath the scabs.
After drinking his potion that he inspected his stats. After his continuous level up, he had gained some skill points and attribute points. He opened his status screen to view his stats. Due to his title bonus, all stats received a 100% increase, but still his original stats and boosted stats were displayed separately.
Huge numbers appeared in front of his eyes, making Kenshin elated. Looking at it, he realized he had come a long way. He could still remember these stats being double digits not a year ago, but now…
Kenshin didn’t think about that anymore. He skimmed through all his skills, trying to find which can help him out of this situation.
Looking at a certain skill, his eyes gleamed in a strange light. His brain worked like a supercomputer, instantly analyzing scenarios after scenarios as he formed his plan. He then dumped 6 points into [Summon Minions] skill. Currently, he had more than 30 skill points, he can afford to use them as he likes.
[Ding! Summon Minions leveled up.]
[Summon Minions reached level 10. You can now summon Specters and Death Shoguns.]
[You have unlocked a sub-skill of Summon Minions]
[Give][Skill path: Summon Minions]
* You can now give any skills in your possession to a minion you have summoned.
* You can not give the same skill to any other minion while another is in possession of it.
* Current Limit: 1 skill per minion.
“What!?” Kenshin unconsciously shouted. He couldn’t believe something so sweet came out when he was planning something else. In reality, due to his skill’s level being so low, the maximum he could summon was only 4 minions. He had already exhausted that limit. The only reason he was forcefully leveling it was because he wanted to summon a few more minions. Initially, he also received a sub-skill appearing when [Replication] reached 10, like now, but he didn’t have time to think about it when he upgraded [Summon Minions].
“Haha! Lyda, oh Lyda…it seems you are really unlucky…haha” Kenshin said gleefully as he used a skill he would never use unless summoning a minion. He used [Create Dunegeon]. As a piece of land appeared in his palms, instantly all his stats including HP and MP, increased 5 times.
“Come out, Specters and Death Shoguns…” even while buried deep in the underground, due to skill burrow’s effect, he could treat it as open space. After he finished his command, there a flash of black light and three ghostly figures appeared, one without its legs looking like a warrior, and three rotting skeletons wearing a rusty armor appeared in front of him.
“Master…” They immediately kneeled to Kenshin and showed their utmost respect.
