-Vol 4: To The North Pole!-
-Ade’el Vs Hunters-
The old man was determined to do anything to revert the fate that would sure befall upon earth. The old man had seen the future many times in past, and 6 out of 10 times, it was impossible to change what he had seen. This time he hoped that the future he saw didn’t come under that 6 times which was irreversible.
“Okay, here listen, I will divide us into three groups. First, them who would directly engage with that green devil, next will be the group who were very first on their legs, they would get past the devil and head for the pillar’s root to destroy it. The third group would be those who would cover the second group’s back. Did you understand? Any questions?” seeing that nobody saying anything, he continued “The First group will contain all those who were heavy hitters and tank types. I think we have six people like that here. The second group, they should be those who were very agile, I don’t know who were they, so please step forward.”
As he finished saying, three people stepped forward. Two out of them were below level 150. Although it was not enough, the old man can't complain at this time. 9 people were out already, ad the remaining nine people were all below level 150, although they wouldn’t be much help under this condition, at least they can be a cover for the second group. So the old man already divided everyone according to their speciality. The six people who were supposed to engage with Ade’el head-on were all level 150 hunters, including himself.
“Okay, on my signal, group 2 will head for that cave. Group 3, you will follow behind group 2 and see if that green devil tries to harm them, if so, then stop him at all cost. Group 1, follow my lead, we will surround that bastard in a concentric circle and attack from all sides. We will give him no opportunity to counterattack. Understood?”
“Yes!” a very silent chorus reply from the gathered people. The old man didn’t plan to hide his plan from Ade’el. He knew that man had sound related powers so even if they stand at a kilometre distance and talk, he could listen. That’s why he had made this simple and crude but effective plan. Even if Ade’el knew what's going to happen next, he wouldn’t be any situation to stop it. Besides, the old man had never believed his words of fighting alone with all of them, that’s why he had kept group 3 as the rear guards of group 2. In case any unknown factors interfere, they could at least buy some time for one of them to reach there.
“Ho! Your strategic break was already over?” Ade’el spoke with a stretched grin on his face. It was as the old man had expected, he had heard every single detail of their plan, but he wasn’t concerned. Even though this planning was perfect and countered his sound ability perfectly, they would still fail in achieving their purpose.
After all, Sound Ability wasn’t his only card. He had many cards and a few trump cards at his disposal.
At this time, everyone present in front of the cave was smug about their respective plans. But they were all unaware of one single factor that could throw a monkey wrench to their well-thought-out plans. And that variable was two hundred meters deep below their legs, steadily coming towards the very objective they were all after.

After leaving that cave, Kenshin ‘swam’ all the way to the place where he had avoided with all his might. He even went as deep as 200 meters in fear of alerting those monsters above. Although he had completely unsealed his stats, he was still very far away from being a match of those level 150 monsters. They could kill him within minutes if they go all out against him. It would better for him if he maintains his distance.
Following his map, he went towards his location, mindful of any unexpected happenings, for example, some monsters who live deep in the ground. As he moved closer to the cave, his map showed him many yellow dots. In fact, large amounts of those dots were gathered around a single yellow dot. Since these people were yet to be determined friends or foe by him, they were all marked yellow.
This made him stop in his tracks. In fact, the place where these yellow dots were gathering was just in front of the cave that he had avoided. It made him more excited, with everyone busy with each other, he could easily sneak in and destroy.
“Yes! I will do that.” nodding to himself, Kenshin doubled his speed exactly to where the pentagram was located. His plan was simple, he would stay underground and would only pop-out just near the pentagram and then destroy it using his Opposites skill then again run away using Burrow.
Simple as that.

“Everyone ready?” the old man shouted and got eighteen nods in return. “Let's go!”
At his word, six people who were the vanguards closed on Ade’el with their respective powers blazing. Some held swords, some rapiers while others with their fist. Only one left back, he was a pure magic skill user as such he would fight from a distance.
The old man was a swordsman, holding a pure black sword that would occasionally pulse, he hurried along towards Ade’el. The five close combat experts closed on Ade’el with their respective weapons aimed towards his various vital organs, intending to finish the fight in an instant. Seeing this, Ade’el unsheathed his sword from the scabbard. A glittering gold katana revealed to the world, marked with some unreadable runes on it. These runes glowed red when the katana was fully unsheathed.
Holding his sword in reverse-hold, he made a semicircular arc around him which successfully blocked everyone’s attacks on their tracks. But none of the people fighting was rookies, they immediately followed with another attack which again for his five vital signs, just on the different location from before. The old man especially aimed for the trajectory of his sword, intending to stop him from blocking their strikes again.
To this, Ade’el only smirked, and held his sword on his left hand and made a left-hand strike like before while his right hand extended to his front. Using his index and big finger, he produced a clicking sound. Then using his sound manipulation, he amplified so much that it vibrated the surrounding air. This, in turn, changed the trajectory of the incoming swords and allowed him some breathing room. Then with a mighty stamp of his foot, he jumped back a few meters and retaliated by knocking his sword on the ground, which in turn produced a massive vibration. The vibrating sound waves heated up the surrounding air, and a produced a vast ring of fire that went towards five level 150 hunters.
The dangerous part wasn’t the fire, but the vibrating air whose sharpness could cut diamonds. This level of mastery of a skill that can show another effect other than original, it stunned the gathered hunters. It can only happen if one understood and mastered their skills to an absolute state.
These men who were gathered here, even though they were all level 150, they were still far away from mastering their skills to this absolute degree. These five level 150 hunter immediately adorned a sombre face and recess the power of their enemy.
