-Vol 5: A New Life-
-A little Visitor(3)-
After finishing his daily necessities, Kenshin came out of the bathroom and headed for the kitchen to make something to eat. As a single male who had to take care of his sister in the past, he tried his hand in cooking. Though he couldn’t compare to Mrs Yuki and other ladies, he could still make edible foods. For breakfast, he made some buttered bread and boiled eggs. Making a few extra for the kid, he came to the drawing room again, holding the plate.
The kid’s sensitive nose was attracted to the smell of the bread and toast, with an expectant look it faced towards Kenshin while a thin line of drool dripped from the corner of his mouth. Its intention was clear, it wants a piece.
“What? You want some? Huh!” Kenshin played with the child a little, holding the bread in his hand, he moved it around making the child follow it. He took a single bread from the plate and handed the rest to it, together with the eggs. With a satisfied face, the child ate or more like devoured its food. A few minutes later, after finishing its food, the child looked at him again. It seems the food was not enough for it to fill its stomach.
“Really!” Kenshin muttered and went into the kitchen to make food again. The child ate at least half a dozen eggs, and ten pieces of bread before its stomach was filled. After eating its fill, it laid on the couch and slept like a cat.
“Where the hell did this child keep all those food?” Kenshin mumbled again. This small child with even smaller stomach just ate half a dozen eggs and ten pieces of bread, something that even he couldn’t do when he was at that age.
After that Kenshin went to the backyard and started to train with all his skills. After gaining his system, he inconsistently levelled up and acquired many skills, but he rarely stopped and trained in them. Most of the time he would use his skill points to level up his skill. Although it made the skill stronger, it couldn’t let him use the skill to its maximum potential. After seeing that cannibalistic man, Kenshin also realized that not only skills, he didn’t even fully understood the basic stats of his.
Although while in the north he got used to his unsealed strength, he was far from mastering them. Although he had more than 500 points of ATK, he still wasn’t able to use that 500 ATK to its full potential. Same goes for his other stats too. Most importantly, he seriously underestimated his WIL stat. That thing had many more uses than just amplifying his strength and defence. Although he wasn’t sure what, he had an inkling that WIL was a very mysterious stat, same as his MP. While MP can bend the natural laws and create miracles like creating fire out of thin air, WIL can also do something like that.
For a fire to burn, it needs fuel and air. What magic does is compensate for the fuel and like that a fire burns. As for skills, it's just imaging. To active a skill, one has to first image what the skill does in their head, then apply magic into that image and the skill activates.

But with the help of the system, Kenshin didn’t need for that lengthy process, it instantly activates. But it was only for the skill, later when he gained fire shape manipulation ability, he learned another interesting thing. As long as one has enough magic, they can literally give shape to anything. Magic can literally give life to one’s imagination.
It was the reason why magic skill users were highly shouted by various organizations. And skilled magic users can literally use their magic to do various things. It’s a highly versatile power that could change the mode of battle in an instant. But, most of the time, these magic skill users were limited to their attributes only. Rarely ever a single magic skill user would have two different attributed magic.
Magic skill was also divided into two types, attributed and no attributed. Attributed magic were those that had some attribute attached to it, like earth, fire, ice, air, water, gravity, poison and many more. As for non-attributed magic, some of the examples could be vibration manipulation, laser emission, buff-debuff types and many more. Among these two types, although attributed magic was powerful, these non-attributed magic were harder to deal with. not only they were discreet, it could cause varying damages that would normally escape one’s notice.
But Kenshin had broken these rules, he had both attributed and non-attributed skills, that too of different types. He realized that his skill, Replication, was miraculous like that. And with the system, they were the perfect pair.
Today, standing on his backyard, Kenshin decided to train his physical stats first. After that, he would think about training his skills. He cants depend upon skill points all the time. And then started his training, he started to go through all the basic martial arts forms for warm up. After that, he began doing all those basic forms at a very high speed. The Unarmed combat expertise skill and Highspeed movements skill helped him to get used to this kind of strenuous training. With the help of Passive Regeneration, he could literally train for hours.
Kenshin suddenly had an epiphany, his body has all the requirements and resources, but he never tried to use it to their fullest. It was such a waste! Like how his combat teacher had taught him all those years ago, he began going through all complex moves at a very high speed. Right now, due to his high INT and WIS, he could vividly remember each and every detail throughout his life, even all those conversations he had with this parents when they were alive. Sometimes, they were very painful to remember, but at other times, it was also comfort for him to remember them.
Kenshin did this kind of training for a few hours before sighing. Its no use after all. This kind of backyard training held no benefit for him since a long time ago, forget about training, he couldn’t even get tired and sweat. What the use of wasting time like this?
“Damn! Looks like I indeed need to go to a dungeon to better my self.” A level 3 dungeon would be best for him to train in his physical attributes. Kenshin decided to hit the level 3 dungeon that he had burned last time, but this time he would clear it without using any of his skills.
“Yes! That would be for the better.” After that, he returned inside, had a bath and wore a tracksuit before going out. The child had long been jumped into his shadow, so he didn’t worry about it. He also made a mental note to buy a few clothes for this child while returning. Though he was still unaware of its gender, who cares about that when you are dealing with a small child? So what if he makes it wear girl clothes despite him being a male?
To this careless nature of Kenshin, Akari had been a victim for many years. Now, a new child was added to this ‘cruelty’.
