231. A chance Encounter

-Vol 5: A New Life-

-A Chance Encounter-

Kenshin didn’t use Burrow, the location where the racket was operating was a place that one would least expect. Using all the agility in his arsenal, he ran at top speed while avoiding the main road. There are security cameras there, he didn’t want to get caught in any of them. A few minutes later, he finally reached his location.

[Three World’s Public School]

Standing in front of a pair of closed gates, Kenshin looked at the school with a sense of dread and fury. His eyes were red under the gas mask as he gripped his hands so tight that the gloves of armor started to make a cracking noise. This was one of the top grade school in Mito, famous for its students’ well behavior and morals. Children in this school are also very smart as they were taught using some of the advanced teaching methods available in Japan.

But, who would have thought that such a respectable school had a dark secret like this!? Who would have known that this school which was famous for its good moral students, was actually the most immoral place of all! This place which acts as a school for outsiders was actually a place of nightmares for students who study here.

No wonder it’s an all girls’ school. It was the operating base for these animals in human skin.

Once upon a time, his sister, as well as Ellie at a later date, had also applied for this place. But they were rejected because of some problems. His heart chilled when he thought about it. If by any chance his sister or Ellie were not rejected that day…he couldn’t imagine what would have happened to them.

But his relief soon turned into anger. A place like this…has no right to exist at all. Determined to exterminate them all, he took his first step towards the gate. But before that, he took a deep breath to calm his heart and fury down.

“Hey! Who are you? Don’t you know the school is closed at this time? Go back!” a burly man screamed from the other side of the gate as he slowly came into view of Kenshin. Due to their standing position, although the burly man couldn’t see Kenshin clearly, he could still make out his figure’s outline.

But Kenshin didn’t halt his steps, with cold eyes that seem to know no mercy, he came closer and closer until the burly man could see him clearly. Kenshin activated his system and scanned the man.

[Haruo Misao][Human]

[Level 3]

[ATK: 18]

That’s it! This burly man was no different than a normal human, except he was level 3. Currently, his strength was only enough to bend steel bars, which according to normal humans was monstrous. No wonder he was a security guard for this place. But to Kenshin, such strength wouldn’t even be enough to stop a casual slap from him.

“Who are you? What's up with your appearance?” the burly man became fully alert after completely taking in the figure of Kenshin.

Instead of answering him, Kenshin’s hand went past the gate’s bars and grabbed hold of the burly man’s neck. Using his massive strength, he lifted him by his neck like a ragdoll and looked at him through the glasses of his mask.

“Are you aware of what's happening here?” his voice was altered using [Heart of Rhythim] skill, making his age unrecognizable.

“Wha..at!?” hearing the cold and hollow voice, the burly man shivered in fright, at the same time his face began to turn red from choke hold he was in. His body was quickly running out of oxygen.

“I asked, are you aware of what’s happening here?” Kenshin asked again. He had decided, if this man weren’t aware of such things, he would spare his life. But if he was, going to jail was the best outcome for this man.

The man trembled in fright after hearing his question again. His eyes widened, and he started to sweat and shake uncontrollably. How could he not know what's happening here? He even took part in it a few times, but could he reveal that? Absolutely not! Judging by this man’s strength and attire, he guessed that the authorities were finally aware of this place, sending a powerful hunter to deal with them all.

“No…no!” he stuttered out. He was just a security guard, there was no way this man would suspect his involvement with them. Taking advantage of his low status, he believed that he would be spared, but he was wrong. Kenshin was observing his heart’s rhythm all this while as he asked the question. When he felt the fluctuation of this man’s beating, he understood that he was telling lies.

What’s more to discuss?

The violent vibrational force generated from Kenshin’s hand and engulfed the man, breaking all his bones and injuring all his internal organs. The man started to bleed from all the pores of his body, at the same time he was vomiting blood out of his mouth. Looking at the writhing man on the ground, Kenshin threw him a scorn-filled glance before strolling inside.

He made sure to not kill this man as they are important witnesses for all those big fishes who were going to be captured today. He wasn’t a fool, Kenshin knew that an organization like this couldn’t operate without the backing of some top level people’s support. Those people were most sly of’em all. Kenshin decided to just kill them if they proved to be too troublesome. Besides, he could also avoid useless killing this way.

*Bark*Bark

Instantly a few guard dogs who were as big as tigers came running towards him with their killing intents blazing. Kenshin was a little startled when he saw these dogs, they were a new and evolved species of dogs artificially created in England a few years ago. The name was this breed was Hellhound. As expected of these foreign people, even their dogs had a cool sounding name.

These dogs, although arent monsters, could still shred low-level monsters into peace with their teeth. Their speed would also not lose to a cheetah, making them the fastest animal that can be domesticated. When these dogs were just a few feet away from him, Kenshin blasted a little dose of [King’s Presence] to both of them, making them shut up in their tracks. Nodding to himself, he showed his index finger towards the direction of the main gate, the dogs instantly got the message and ran out of the school through the gates.

In front of a King, even the strongest of the demons have to bow, let alone a small animal like this. Opening his map, Kenshin walked towards the most concentrated area.

Walking through the hallways; Kenshin had to admit that this school indeed had the best of technology to educate the children. Projector based class, availability of an e-library in every class. Even the tables and chairs were arranged in such a way that it would feel like spending time in a luxurious room, not in a school. He didn’t know about the teachers, but he can guess that they were no slouch either.

Unfortunately, all these equipment were for immoral reasons, not for a bright future.

As he walked through the hallway, he saw a blinking violet dot coming towards him at a very fast pace.

“Did I get noticed?” Kenshin frowned, although he wasn’t trying to hide his presence, it was still too soon to be discovered. In his map, Violet dot signifies someone with unclear intentions, but they would probably lean towards allies. Yellow was for those who, although have unclear intentions, but would still remain neutral.

Soon enough, a lithe figure could be seen running towards him. Squinting his eyes, Kenshin discovered that it belonged to a little girl who couldn’t be any older than 12. Her face was contorted in panic, and her body was riddled with scars of whip marks. Her dress, which consists of only a sleeveless shirt and pair of panties, was in tatters but still somehow held on to her modesty.

The oddest and probably the best thing for her was that a huge amount of yellow light was emerging from her body, giving her strength to run away from whatever she was running away from.
