-Vol 5: A New Life-
-Rematch against Lyda (3)-
The lineup Lyda prepared against Kenshin was enough to put even a hunter at level 150 on his place. Kenshin made a quick scan of them all and found not a single monster in the lineup was below level 145, and only one going above 150, and that’s the little sparrow that was flying aimlessly among the big monsters.
“Man, this would be tough…” Kenshin sighed. But the excitement was clear in his eyes, all these monsters were close to level 150, if he successfully kills them all, then how much EXP he would gain? There might be a chance that he would touch upon the barrier of level 100. The prospect made him very happy.
Narrowing his eyes to a slit, he said: “Here, I come.” And jumped at the monkey, the biggest and weakest of the lineup. He didn’t give Lyda the time to shout ‘attack’ opting to take the initiative himself. He ran straight to the back of the foot. Coating his sword in red flames he stroke at Achilles' tendons while saying “Flaming Slash” quietly.
A crescent flame wave generated and struck the exact area, opening the muscle like a piece of butter cut by a hot knife. Deep red blood gushed out of the wound but was instantly evaporated by the hit generated from the fires of the sword.
“GAAAHH!!” the huge monster screamed loudly as it slowly kneeled down. The scene was so surreal, it was like a huge mountain slowly crumbling down. But Kenshin wasn’t done, he coated his sword in the same fire again and repeatedly struck the leg with [Flaming Slash] causing 5k damage each time.
As long as a part was connected to the body, by striking it, Kenshin can cause damage to its overall HP, even if it’s a leg or a simple tail. This unique property was unique to a system, as no one else could boast such ability. If the attack was powerful enough, and its value exceeds defense and HP of the opponent, it was possible to instakill an enemy by simply stroking its hair. This kind of system bug was actually possible in reality. Kenshin once again bowed to the system the day when he discovered this unique feature.
The huge gorilla had an HP of 400k and DEF of 781. With each attack, Kenshin dealt as much as 5k damage, so, by this calculation, he needs 80 strikes to kill this thing. A smile threatened to split his face as he thought ’10 strikes done, 70 more to go…I can do this…’
It's at this moment, Kenshin stopped striking like a madman, and jumped up high in the air, using his air walk passive, he jumped even further up and looked down. The ground where stood suddenly caved in as the driller like plant-lion-thingy burst out. Not seeing Kenshin around, it looked cluelessly, trying to find him.
*kaw*
Kenshin heard the bird cry, looking to his left he saw the crow monster coming at him like a meteor. At the current moment, he was standing in midair using his [Opposites]. Kenshin pointed the sword at the bird. The fire coated on it started to burn fiercely before it turned into a huge hellfire. It slowly took the shape of a human arm. With another thought from him, the human arm opened its fist and went for the crow to grab it.

The bird was a smart one, seeing the huge arm coming at it, it opened its beak as purple energy started to brew. Then with a roar from it, a purple beam of light shoot towards Kenshin. It tore through the ‘fire arm’ splitting it from the middle, and headed for Kenshin’s head.
‘Stone Skin. Sturdy Body. Shapeshift: Dilong Scales’ Kenshin hurriedly called all his defensive skill’s names in his heart, activating it at the same time. Crossing his arms in front of his head, he braced himself for the impact. His body glowed faintly with this many skills activating altogether, as well as coating himself with a tiny hue of his Intent.
*BOOM!!*
The beam of destructive purple light smashed against Kenshin, sending him back a few tens of meters.

A tiny amount of damage value floated above his head, followed by EXP gained by the three skills.

But this wasn’t the end, the moment the laser lost its effect, the bird itself slammed into Kenshin beak first, Pushing him to the ground. Being pushed by the bird, the speed was so high that the air friction around him made his clothes to slowly burn.
BOOM!!
The ground came sooner than he realized, making him unable to react at all.
“Aaah!!” he shouted in pain. It was very painful, making him nearly puke a mouthful of blood. Even his internal organs seemed to have been dislodged from their places.

A huge damage value floated above his head, before vanishing. Gritting his teeth in pain and anger, he grabbed hold of the beak of the bird and used a slurry of skills on it.
‘Impact Touch. Earthen Slicer. Destructive Energy Smash. Exploding Domain. Bleeding. Confusion. Impact Touch. Destructive Smash. Magic Drain. Bleeding.’ In anger, he used skills one after another as they caused serious damage to the bird. Not to mention, the occasional explosions on its body doing more damage than expected.

At the same time, Kenshin Kenshin punched it with his bare fists, boosted by his [Unarmed Combat Expertise] and 100% stat boost due to activation of title [Surpasser]. All his defense-related skills were gaining experience like crazy. After the 100% stat boost, Kenshin’s HP and MP had become monstrous. The downside was that his control over them faltered a little, but a loss of magic is of no concern to him. His magic-regain speed had also increased accordingly.
This crow’s HP was 245K, and its skills were [Plasma Blast] and [Beak Shock], [Energy Claw Pearcing], [whirl wind]. From them, Kenshin had already copied [Plasma Blast] and [Whirl Wind]. As for the other two, he needed a huge claw and an actual beak to use them. With his current level of [Shapeshift], it was close to impossible to have them. As such, Kenshin ignored them.
After receiving Kenshin’s frenzy of attacks, the crow’s HP only had a small amount of HP left, and just as he was about to deal a finishing blow, his [Dragon sense] went crazy. He started to feel goosebumps from his back. Without even looking at it, Kenshin knew something deadly was arriving his way, so he rolled away.
*shua!*
A wave of wind got past him, creating trenches on the ground. It’s a heavy punch from that gorilla guy, who looked healthy, and its HP had filled to the brim.
“What?” he couldn’t help but shout in surprise. This gorilla had suffered heavily from Kenshin's’ attacks fused with fire, but unexpectedly within the time he was busy with the crow, it had completely healed.
“Are you kidding me?” Kenshin shouted in surprise. Then he heard a chirping noise, looking at the direction it came from, he found the small sparrow-like bird glowing green, looking ethereal. after flying around the crow, It entered the its body, and then its HP started to fill up like a speeding train.
The battle got a lot more harder and messier after that.
