-Vol 2: Dungeon Break-
-The Overpowered Title-
Often under pressure, humans forget about some of the most important facts. Due to all the drama that had happened to him throughout the whole day, he missed a very important fact. He had totally forgotten about the title whose perks were a little too extraordinary.
Earlier, he had just read it lightly and didn’t put any deep thought into it. But after his brain got to rest from all that drama, the information finally started to sort out on its own. With his increased intelligence and newly acquired wisdom, he started to tread on the path of a genius. Unknown to him, his brain has already started to work on autopilot.
When his brain was sorting out all the necessary information of this title, his subconscious deemed it to be important. As a result, it gave the signal to the brain to wake up Kenshin. In the end, Kenshin woke up without any knowledge of this complex process that had just undergone inside his brain.
He opens his UI and checks the title description.
[Bane of Specters(Inactive)]
[1% increment on attack power for every specter killed. 50% more defense while facing a specter class monster. 50% immunity against all specter class magic attacks]
Leaving aside the 50% of physical damage resistance; there was a 50% magic immunity against the specter class monsters. From the defensive perspective, this perk was enough to kill all the specter class monsters safely, but the attacking perk had even outshined this.
1% increase in ATK for every specter class monster’s kill. This particular perk’s ability can be considered a balance breaker. Kenshin was sure that if he equips this title, there would be no one in this world to rival him in killing specters.
Then he remembered the third quest he had received. It’s about killing a thousand zombies within five minutes. Earlier, he believed himself to be unable to finish this quest any time soon. But if he equips this title; there was a possibility of him completing it within the time limit. Remembering the reward of this mission, a wave of excitement flashed through his eyes.
1 Life.
Even in games, people would go crazy for an extra life, not to mention it was the reality. With this extra life, he wouldn’t be afraid of being ambushed like the last time. Just remembering that incident was enough to give him chills for the whole day.
It was the middle of the night. While the majority of Mito was sleeping, Kenshin set out to the dungeon that he had exited seven hours ago. His intention was nothing, but completing the third quest and checking out the properties of the title.

As it was the middle of the night, there was no cab. He sprinted there.
Half an hour later he reached the front gate of the dungeon. For past half an hour, he had been running at full speed, but not only he was not sweating but also he’s unable to feel fatigue. Due to having [Tireless Body Lv 2] and [Passive regeneration Lv 6], this type of work was no longer enough to make him sweat.
His brows furrowed at this conclusion. A shred of happiness filled his heart as he realized he’s becoming stronger every day.
The two soldiers who were guarding the main gate gave him a salute when he flashed his newly received license at them. Although surprised, he didn’t correct them and simply entered the dungeon. Just when he was about to deposit his phone in the storage room, as dungeons reject all electrical devices, he received a call. It was from Suguro.
“Hello!” he received the call immediately, thinking that he had found him entering the dungeon.
“Kenshin, Sorry for disturbing you at this hour of the night” Suguro’s hurried voice came from the other side. He sounds like he was facing a troublesome situation.
“Nah! Its okay, I was already up” he said honestly.
“Is that so! Then it’s good. Once again, I am sorry”
“What happened? Why do you sound like you are facing a tiger?” Kenshin asked jokingly to lighten his mood.
“Tiger?! I wish! Now I am facing something worse than a tiger?” he shouted from the other side. He sounded like he will cry at any minute.
“What happened?” Now Kenshin was curious.
“You remember Hashimoto?” Suguro asked.
“Yeah!” Kenshin could feel that he wouldn’t like what he was going to hear next.
“After you came out of that dungeon, he entered it. He had gone to the second floor in hopes to slay a boss there, but his luck was bad. A large number of skeletons spawned on the second floor. Though he retreated, he was now stuck there. For some reason, the teleportation gate has stopped working. If my guess is right, then a boss had spawned but two bosses in a single day aren’t practical. Then again, this particular dungeon was infamous for its spawning rate” Kenshin’s sweat dropped at Hashimoto’s luck.
But Suguro hadn’t finished his explanation.
“The problem was that there are no fluctuations like what we have seen during your case. The dungeon entrance was also working properly” Kenshin could feel a headache coming. He understood what Suguro wanted from him. It was not about saving Hashimoto, but checking out what exactly was happening.
“Okay, I will see what I can do. Right now I am just about to enter the dungeon myself” saying so Kenshin hung up his phone and passed it to the attendant sitting on the other side.
Kenshin entered the dungeon after that. Again a sea of zombies greeted him. But unlike before, the number of zombies had increased this time. Narrowing his eyes, Kenshin equipped the skeleton knight set. As the problem regarding his sister was solved, there was no reason for him to send this ugly set to her. This way his efficiency will also increase by several folds.
After that, he activated his title.
[You have activated Bane of Specter's title]
[You will receive 50% magic and physical defense when facing specters]
[1% increase in ATK for every specter’s death by your hands]
[Ding* you are wearing the Skeleton Knight set]
[Skill Death Slash generated]
[Death Slash Lv 0][1000 EXP to next level up]
[Deals 70 magic damage to all the opponents in a radius of 5 meters]
[Magic consumption: 20 MP]
For some reason, the damage output of this skill had reduced. After thinking it through, he guessed that may it was due to the skill was still at level 0. He then pulled out his attribute panel and sure enough, some of his stats had a massive boost.
[ATK: 35(+60); DEF: 28(+60); AGI: 38(-5)(+4); PHY: 37(+10); INT: 29(+2); WIS: 13; WIL: 11; LUK: 14]
Seeing his overall stats a newfound confidence rose from the bottom of his heart.
