-Man vs God(2)-
“Cease your useless struggles humans and surrender before the mighty me!” Atub bellowed sending another series of golden swords towards Kenshin and Joy who were jumping around like monkeys to avoid the lethal golden things. Jabberwock took advantage of distracted them and slammed its massive hands on the ground, creating craters and fissures. Although it was very strong, it had a limited IQ which was a good thing for them both. If it was a little more IQ, the fight would have been harder for them.
“Joy, you take on this monster, I am going for the bastard,” Kenshin whispered and jumped back into bushes. Then he used his [Greater Concealment] and circled around the battlefield to sneak behind Atub.
“Hmm, where is that human?” Atub looked around curiously. Although he was a god and this dungeon was his domain, he couldn’t control everything about it. He hadn’t reached the required level yet. Only a god reaching the level of Greater Celestial could do such a thing as having absolute control over his/her domain. He was just promoted to Lesser Celestial not long ago and conjured his own domain.
“Where are you looking phony god?” Joy shouted before going overdrive and jumping to Jabberwock’s face, clenching his fist tightly he gave a devastating punch to the massive monster’s jaw while being careful enough to not look at the eye on its torso directly. Kenshin had warned him about it. He might fall to a nightmare if he did so.
The punch packed enough force to create fissures on the ground and yet all it did was send the massive monster tumbling back a step. Narrowing his eyes, Joy backflipped in mid-air and landed heavily on the floor, looking at the massive monster with a frown. Even though he was fighting with his overdrive mode active, the monster’s strength was still something he couldn’t take lightly of. At least from this short exchange of moves, he became clear that he couldn’t take its direct physical blows… he might break down like a glass plate.
Therefore Joy started to dodge its attacks and sneak in a few while he was at it.
‘Where is the other one?’ although he had a proud and detached face on, Atub was very worried about the disappearance of Kenshin from the battlefield. He knew this human was dangerous, very dangerous. If not for various perks as a god, he would have sliced like a cucumber by him when they first traded moves.
If not for the threat of Kenshin, Atub wouldn’t have taken the risk of summoning Jabberwock to a lower realm like this. God, he might be, but even he can't break certain rules. Jabberwock was one of those rules, this thing shouldn’t come to a lower realm.
And his caution was well-founded. At the moment, Kenshin was running in the air with the help of his [Opposites] with his sword aiming for the back of Atub.
“hmm?” as if sensing his arrival, Atub hurriedly conjured up a golden shield and tried to shield himself from whatever he felt coming from his back. Not a moment later he felt a heavy thing impacting his shield. Without even looking back he knew its none other than Kenshin, the only human whom he was remotely wary against.

Atub wasn’t a fool. Although he kept calling them lowly humans, he never took them lightly, in fact he was taking this fight seriously. As a celestial who lived for countless years, he knew although humans seem to be weak at first, they were still a force of to be reckoned with when driven to a corner. It was because there was no limit to a human’s growth potential. Atub knew this world had many humans who could even give Greater Celestials in his realm a run for their money, therefore he had no intention to let his pride get to his head and die at the hands of these clearly powerful human opponents.
Seeing his sword strike was stopped by the golden shield, he didn’t show any emotion and cast a [Starfall Dominion] twice in an instant. This skill had levelled up after his last fight against that lady assassin. It could now deal more than 1.5k damage per cast.

Two red letters floated above Atub surprising the said god. Kenshin gave his midsection a kick before jumping away from Jabberwock’s head and vanished into thin air by employing [Greater Concealment].
“How is this possible?” Atub nursed his chest, looking around in panic. Although he was mentally prepared to have a difficult battle and take some damages, he was still unprepared for what happened a seconds ago. The worse part was he couldn’t tell what happened and how he got injured, ‘I thought I blocked it?’ wondered the god as he kept staring around, trying to find Kenshin.
“Overdrive: Thunder Punch” Joy shouted in glee, giving the eye in the middle of the monster’s torso a devastating punch. Trading a few blows with this abnormally strong monster made Joy learn everything about its fighting style, power and weakness. It’s strong physically, but not to the point of shrugging off his attacks. Also its magic attacks, especially mental attacks were dangerous but as long as he keep alert and use a burst of his WIL every so often he had nothing to fear. Reversely the eye on its torso was its ultimate weapon and also its fatal weakness, its Achilles’ heel.
Roar!!
The monster roared loudly, as it backed away from Joy after eating one more thunder punch to its weakened eye. Covering it with one hand, it flailed around the other one to swat away the ‘fly’ that dared to hurt it.
Kenshin appeared in a flash before Atub again and gave his face a punch he so deserved, “being a god, instead of helping your people, you want to take revenge on them because they forgot you? Grow up and learn to move on.”
“Shut up!” shouted Atub as he backed away a few steps from the force. He waved the paper pinwheel in his hands to create a huge tornado towards Kenshin, “a mere human, what would you know about the loneliness I felt?”
Using [Five Point Movement] Kenshin avoided the tornado before rolling mid-air. Using his [Sky Walk] passive, he kicked the air and streaked towards Atub with his sword aiming at his neck, “You might be right, I might not understand the loneliness you felt, but don’t you think what you are doing now is the epitome of idiocy? Taking revenge on people? What will you achieve from it?”
“Hmph! I don’t feel like telling it to a mere human. Die already” Atub backflipped before creating another golden sword to send towards him. Taking a leap of faith, he moved his sword and tried to deflect it.
Clang!!
His sword and Atub’s golden sword met in air, creating sparks everywhere. Kenshin who wanted to block the skill had to immediately roll his wrist and deflect the skill. He found from that brief encounter that it was impossible to block the skill. Due to his sword’s infinite durability as a bonus from Tar’el’s intrusion, it didn’t break but the force of the skill would have ground his bones had he not deflected it.
‘So this is what they call absolute…’ he finally understood the meaning of word ‘absolute’ in divine tier skills.
